Welcome to the next chapter of DxD – The Last Amagiri, but before starting. Let's answer some reviews:

altajir95: Thanks, yes this is the final chapter. Yeah, those three shared a "close" moment in the end. Minako got to do her concert for the summer festival, but there's going to be much more in the future for her career, on top of her friends, and fans, including the Gremory Group enjoying themselves. Koneko got herself a newer client and job acting as Minako's bodyguard. Even those transcendental beautifies, Amaterasu and Konohana are enjoying the concerts.
Yet around Itsuki Flashback, with him being friends with Runeas, the First Gremory, on top of him also meeting his first wife, who wanted to die to protect others. With him fighting against her demonic side, Kiyoko Alter, with her being purified of the influence of the demons and spirits that empowered her. And Itsuki decided to take on his name, Itsuki Amagiri. Thanks, I'll continue ensuring that it's a good one and I'll continue doing that.
The Second Semester
The morning of their summer ending, with the start of the second semester, Kensei found himself in bed still sleeping. His large comfortable bed made it almost impossible not to sleep, having his entire room rebuilt after the home was burned to the ground. As such, his room was much bigger than before, but not to the point of being too much. Of course, the entire Amagiri Residence was rebuilt into a massive mansion built upon the plots where the surrounding houses were burned to the ground. Although the group would have rebuilt the homes, it seemed as if the aftereffects from the houses burning down left a deep impression in their memories.
But, in return, the former residents received compensation and homes in other locations that were under the Amagiri Clan's jurisdiction.

His room door opened up, revealing Ravel who was dressed for school, and walked into the room.
"Ken-sama. It's time to wake up."
Ravel stated gently and respectfully as she approached the bed.
"Hm? Ah, alright."
Kensei replied, finding himself sitting up in the bed to find Ravel standing there smiling at him.
Seeing him getting out of bed, Ravel flushed as she noticed he wasn't dressed in anything aside from shorts, with his toned build being in clear sight of her. Kensei groaned and stretched his limbs, causing him to glance at his manager who stood there staring at him.
"Hm, want to take a photo? I often hear Alice wanting to paint me, but I often think she means nude paintings, not a normal one."
Kensei teased causing her to snap out of her trance with still flushed cheeks.
"N-No, th-that's fine."
Ravel replied, flustered at the thought of a nude painting of Kensei.
"So, what's today's schedule?"
Kensei asked, getting out of bed, then heading to his school uniform which was positioned and prepared for him to wear. After that, Ravel instead of leaving the room turned herself around with flushed cheeks as he started to get dressed.
"T-There isn't anything important occurring aside from getting prepared for the second semester," Ravel replied, then started taking discreet looks as Kensei got changed before turning back around flustered. "B-But, it seems as if there is some meeting that should be held to discuss what happened during the summer break. In regards to what Hikage was doing."
"Hm, right those psycho terrorists that were incited by Yami into causing chaos around Japan. I know that Sacred Gear users are often the ones leading the different factions," Kensei stated, buttoning up his shirt. "As much as we watch out for things, it'll be better if we better the information gathering among our group."
"The one that Hisui-sama and Rui-sama are particularly a part of. Hmm, I heard something about them wanting to improve that too. Oh, I remember, I recall them talking to the members, who mentioned something about doing a lot of training over the summer too."
"Is that so?"
Kensei seemed surprised about hearing those words from Ravel.
He was well aware that the Kibou Alliance did do their regular training to keep up with the threats in the future. Even if a lot of members left to do something it meant that Kibou Town was still being protected by the defensive measures set up. The main reason that Arata bypassed them was because of the talisman he made for Meiko, which he then used. On top of that, he informed them about the 'shadow' placed in his, which led them to check around Kibou Town.
It looked as if Zane and the others took care of that using the technique Sun Wukong used last time when Gang, one of Jun's Dragon Claws was almost teleported through them. As such, the group didn't need to be worried about the shadows being used to infiltrate Kibou Town.
"Yes, it seems to be quite appealing too. Based on how everyone reacted that is," Ravel informed as Kensei got dressed, then picked up Kurogane to place it in its special-made sleeve. "It does seem as if the Kibou Alliance is going to be progressing into another stage."
"Of course, aside from the supernatural world. Zane also planned on having the Kibou Alliance have a significant influence on the Human World."
"Hm, it's always interesting to see things progress from this side."
Ravel looked as if she was having a good time as a member of the Sword Team and Kibou Alliance, which kept on improving as time passed.
"Well, it'll start getting more insane from here on out. But, I'm glad that I have good people, and also a more than reliable manager aiding me is awesome."
"W-Well, you should be glad to have me."
"I am."
Kensei replied, smiling at Ravel's tsundere act, and kissed her cheek, causing her to blush up a storm while her back was facing him. Despite being flustered, she was smiling and felt the utmost gratitude. After telling Ravel to head back downstairs, he finished his preparations for the day before heading down himself.
Finishing, Kensei went downstairs to find Alice the next up to cook, with her preparing an Italian breakfast, while wearing an apron reading: Bacia il Cuoco, meaning "Kiss the Cook" in Italian. Around her, small monsters were helping her in the kitchen. Noticing that Kensei snuck up behind Alice, then kissed her on the cheek, causing her to smile. He found the others sitting on the couches looking at a news report.
[It seems as if the activities of the terrorist group, Hikage have steadily slowed down over the summer break. But, I have received reports that several posters spreading their message of breaking free from the supposed normal order which has bound them. In recent events, reports of people going missing across rural and urban areas.]
"Hm, it seems as if Hikage is building their forces."
Lingqi pointed out, tilting her head to the side, holding the remote in her hands.
"Hah, I can tell that we'll be preoccupied if their actions become more bold. If it's most concentrated in the rural areas, it wouldn't be odd if there are some Sacred Gear users hidden in those areas."
Claire added.
"Kunou wonders if this will cause the supernatural to be revealed at some point."
At Kunou's point, their group thought about the same thing, seeing as Hikage isn't being as discrete with any of their actions. A lot of them do consist of Sacred Gear users like the one who attacked the Kibou Mall almost over a year ago.
"It's all to mass negative emotions to empower Amatsu-Mikaboshi. His final goal was to return Japan to when it was nothing. So, humanity finding about the supernatural world would further that because of the negativity that is going to be swelling around Japan."
Ravel brought up.
"Well, all that can wait for discussion during the next meeting," Kensei added, finding himself standing behind the couch with his arms resting on the back. "Besides, speculating this early doesn't do anything aside from stressing us out. So, at this point, let's act like students about to have breakfast and then head out to school."
After that, the group could see where Kensei was coming from, seeing as more than Yami or Hikage, the group did have their personal lives to focus on too. Obsessing about those groups, then it'll lead them to stress themselves out finding a solution.
"I'm finished."
Alice called out, getting their attention.
"Alright, let's eat."
Lingqi said smiling, finding herself smelling the breakfast that Alice cooked.
They followed behind Lingqi to the table, as Alice prepared a good Italian breakfast and then started digging in while starting a casual conversation. It was yet another delicious meal that the people there prepared, having not a single complaint about it. All their conversations had almost nothing to do with the supernatural, instead having the most to do with the future school events.
After finishing up, they cleaned up the aftermath, then proceeded to head in the direction of Kibou Academy, with them looking forward to their more normal daily lives. Arriving at the school building, the group could see that the students walked about with the usual energy. A lot of them were sad that summer ended, but a lot of them who'd returned were happy to see the friends they didn't see over the break.
"Well, glad to see the people here are as excited as usual."
Kensei stated, wearing a smile.
"It looks as if our Student Council members came here earlier than anyone."
Claire pointed out, recalling that she heard such a thing from Iris in the morning.
"Hm, I received some calls from friends I made in my class about wanting to see me at the opening ceremony," Lingqi pointed out, with a smile at that thought. "I told her that I'd meet her in class once I got here. So, I'll be on my way."
"I said I'd meet Iris there too."
"Same."
"Me too."
Claire, Kunou, and Ravel replied, turning to Kensei and Alice wearing smiles on their faces.
"Alright, see you all later."
Kensei replied, with Alice waving her hand with a smile.
He was happy to hear that the four of them were making and had made friends that they were so close to in the group's respective class groups for the opening ceremony.
"Ah, Kensei."
Alice poked Kensei's shoulder, catching his attention, and pointed in another direction.
"Oh, good to see you guys again."
Kensei turned his head to find the collective members of the martial arts clubs standing there, while he waved his hand friendly at them.
"It's good to see you're the same as before, Kensei Amagiri!"
The leader stated, pointing at Kensei.
"Ah, and I see you've all gotten stronger."
Kensei pointed out nonchalantly.
Despite that, from the perception alone, he could tell that the members of those clubs had been training through the summer break. From their stances, toner muscles, and expressions, he examined that each of them trained, on top of learning other martial arts too.
"Yes, over the summer break, we have trained through the summer, honing our body, mind, and spirits just for us to take down the Dragon Child!"
The leader declared again, pointing at Kensei.
[Right, so give it your best shot!]
At that comment, the members from the martial artists' clubs found themselves looking forward at Kensei with a determined look. Not needing a single request, Alice held out her hands, as Kensei placed Kurogane contained in its sleeve was placed in her hands.
"Alright, alright, let's see."
Kensei stated, cracking his neck and knuckles while wearing a smile.
He then leaped at the student martial artists who rushed back at him, with the students stopped and then started to look at what was happening.
"Oh, look they're at it again!"
"It's the start of the next semester, but they're still trying to beat Kensei-kun."
"Well, it's become such a spectacle that the teachers don't bother stopping it."
As the student said those words, Kensei kept fighting against the crowd of martial artists who were attempting to overcome him. Surprisingly enough, the group wasn't functioning as a single-minded mod, it wasn't as if either of them had before, but this time, they were fighting as one well-oiled machine. He noticed different martial arts, yet coordinated movements, which supplemented them. However, their opponent was someone who got used to this kind of tactic from the time he was ten.
For a long time, he has gotten used to regulating his strength and skills so that he doesn't end up hurting normal people. But, over the summer, the student martial artists weren't the only ones who'd gotten some training done, being on leagues above leagues from what anyone normally could endure. His bad habits from the Amagiri-ryuu remained, but Kensei could feel it, he'd adapted to the Tougen Amagiri-ryuu, which he developed and felt as if it was now a part of him.
So, Kensei's movements were the same as him riding along the air and became something similar to a cloud as someone tried attacking him. To the students, it felt as if they were watching a Dragon dancing around in front of them while taking down the people attacking it. It didn't take more than a couple of short minutes for Kensei to make quick work of them, causing the mob to fall to the ground.
"Argh, you're as strong and skilled as ever! No, you'd gotten even stronger since then!"
The leader replied, sitting up in a seiza position, which was surprising as the other martial artists stood up in the same position as a sign of respect.
"It shouldn't be fair that someone like you gets this strong over the summer!"
Another added.
"If they're reacting like this, they would be surprised what would happen if Kensei doesn't hold back."
Alice thought, not changing her expression.
"Don't talk like that, you guys used to get beaten down in a shorter amount of time. So, there's no doubt that you guys got stronger. You should be proud."
At Kensei's statement, each martial artist felt as if their hearts received something that neither of them thought possible. It was respect and acknowledgment from the person that everyone recognized as THE prodigy among martial arts, someone from a clan that exemplified that.

The student martial artists bowed their heads as Kensei stood over them.
"Ah, but you should head off to the opening ceremony before you're late. Don't forget that I'm still Captain of the Disciplinary Committee."
Kensei advised.
"Why didn't you join a martial artist club despite being so talented?"
The same leader asked.
"Hm, I'm a natural-born martial artist. But, I don't want that to be the only thing that I'm known for. So, I'm finding something else that's a part of my character."
Kensei replied, taking Kurogane from Alice's hands, and then the two started heading inside the school building, with the students and teachers giving their greetings.
Not much time passed until the students gathered in the auditorium, each student being inside of their respective grade groups. On the stage, the principal and vice-principal stood there alongside the teachers standing among them in an upright position. The principal was a middle-aged man dressed professionally, but giving off a friendly air as he held the microphone in his hands.
[Welcome back students. I hope that you all enjoy your summer break, whether you stay home or go out to explore other places. I know there have been some misgivings about the particular incidents happening, but I do hope that you'll never let it deter you from living your life. For you, these moments are the most vital and should be the most memorable. So, don't let the incidents that occurred thus far deter looking towards the future and the things that you'll be doing from here on.]
The Principal started off wearing a smile as he spoke.
All the students listened as the principal kept speaking to them, taking in those words and thinking about all of the things that happened on the news concerning Hikage. A lot of them thought back to the time that there was also a fire in Kibou Town, considering the Amagiri Residence and the surrounding houses. Although there was never a single hint of it, the incident made them wonder if Hikage was involved.
[Well, let's introduce our Student Council President, Maria Lancelot who will give her opening speech to all the students, new and old.]
At that, the students started cheering as Maria got onto the stage, who in response waved her hand smiling with them feeling the sincerity from the gesture. Despite being a second-year student, she was popular among all three grades. After bowing her head to their Principal and teachers, Maria stood in front of the students holding the microphone in front of her mouth.
[Hello, fellow students. I am Maria Lancelot, and I still feel glad to have been trusted to be the Student Council's President through your and my predecessor's trust. I'm someone who was allowed entrance to Kibou Academy, as a result of someone whom I consider among my closest friends. In coming to live here, I learned about all the things that build this town and the ideals poured into it. From the first time that Kibou Academy was built, it was intended to be a symbol of hope for the future and also aid its students in achieving their future goals.] Maria started, with the kind of conviction one would expect from a Knight descendant. [And that's what I hope will be the thing which remains forever that Kibou Academy will forever be a place of hope. Well, have dreams and goals which define our characters. So, please never surrender that to anyone.]
Hearing the emotions and honesty behind Maria's words, the Principal, teachers, and students clapped, causing the sounds to resonate in the auditorium. Among the Kibou Alliance, those who were most aware of Maria could hear and feel her conviction, being glad to have such a person as their comrade.
The opening ceremony continued from there with the principal going over the events that'll be occurring, such as the Sports Festival. Due to the incidents resolving Hikage, the teachers mentioned that there would be personal and optional counseling with the assigned school counselor, which would remain between them. It was always an optional thing, but the teachers wanted to assure the students that they could talk about anything.
After it ended, the students returned to and gathered in their classrooms where they waited for classes to start once again. In Class 2-D, Kensei returned to his seat almost feeling a sense of nostalgia from sitting there. In the classroom, working on their laptop was Zane, his neighbor and best friend, whose official girlfriend, Lena sat right behind him. Of course, it was the same for him as Alice took a seat behind him.
In their class, he noticed that there were some noticeable differences in the students, most of whom used their time over the summer to reinvent themselves, or "shed their skin". This is something almost referred to as the Summer Debut, which was something that their group technically did, but not in the same sense.
"So, working on anything new?"
Kensei asked, leaning his head against his hand as he glanced at Zane.
"Nothing new, just checking up on Anne. See?"
Zane replied, turning his laptop around Kensei could see that a female avatar was on the screen, but found the supposed avatar was staring right at him and waving their head. A black-haired, red-eyed female avatar who bore a strong resemblance to Zane, dressed in mechanic overalls.
"I'm guessing that's Annelisse."
Kensei pointed out, noting that the female avatar nodded her head with the text: Yes, I am Annelisse, Kensei.
"Since Anne changes forms, I interfaced her with my laptop and Oracle Phone, making it easier to access them without much trouble. Also, she's learning to explore the internet without much trouble, but I'm not letting her go through the internet. It'd be the same as overtaxing the information she could take in and also swimming in a boundless see."
On the screen, Anne looked as if she were pouting, with her arms crossed with the text: I know how to limit all the things I learn and record.
"Coming from someone closest to the 'mother' with such an insatiable desire for knowledge that she split her soul into pieces, then sealed them in grimoire as sentient magical beings."
Again, on screen, Anne crossed her arms with the text: touché.
It was surprising to see that Annelisse, the Index within Magus Akashic obtained this kind of sentience, being a magical being closer to a conscious being. But, it made them wonder what Zirnitra intended when she developed the Index through fragments of her soul. Although Anne herself wasn't that aware of the other Zirnitra Grimoire unless they were nearby, she at least explained that the grimoire takes certain aspects of their mother's personality.
"Well, at least, she's taking things at her own pace. I can only imagine the kind of things that the Magus Akashic is going to be capable of with total access to the internet. In the end, it could either be a good thing or a bad thing, because I doubt anyone would want to explore the insane things out there. At the same thing, she could bring an actual balance in the internet."
Lena stated, wearing her usual expressionless look as Anne smiled at those words with a thumbs up. It was then that Kensei felt Alice tapping him on his shoulder, but instead of turning himself around, he instead leaned back until his head rested on her desk.
"Yes?"
Kensei asked.
The people of the class, in particular, female almost gasped from what they were witnessing as Kensei laid back on Alice's desk, his head almost pressing against her abundant chest.
"I was wondering if you could tell me when Zane finished going over the information detailing the previous users of the Annihilation Maker."
Alice wondered as she looked down at him with their faces right on top of one another, which didn't help at all with the female student's reactions. It was a known fact that for the longest time Kensei and Alice, as well as Claire and others lived in the same house as him. It was a known fact that Kensei was the closest to the first two, with people already believing the three were a couple.
"Of course, I plan on sharing that information with the other people with the Longinus. Well, I mean aside from the ones who're misusing them," Kensei stated, thinking back to Cao Cao and Georg who had the True Longinus and Dimension Lost. "I'm surprised that you're becoming this interested in getting stronger."
"I am. I haven't put that much effort in mastering the things that I was either born with or gained, but the incidents with Yami are making me reconsider that," Alice replied sounding more serious. "Besides, I have been thinking a lot about what I learned in Shiamano and about the Amagiri Clan's Shikigami. So, I was wondering if there was a hint that could help me make something original."
Kensei was aware that Alice became more determined to become stronger after the incident concerning Yami, even planning on developing an original ability through what she learned in Shiamano. She learned the means of creating Shikigami similar to those among the Amagiri Clan, which were more sentient. It was similar to the Shiki-Ouji, which she learned about too, which was considered the strongest kind of Shikigami that masters can create closest to Oni.
"Alright. You'll be the first to get the information on Annihilation Maker. But, I'll still help you train to get a proper foundation to do whatever it is you want to achieve."
"Okay," Alice replied smiling then whispered something more personal into his ear. "Also, the Shikigami said that it believed your spiritual and dragon power had more of an effect on me. So, shouldn't that be something to learn about too?"
"It's kinda hard to learn about an ancient technique that most don't know the exact origins of like Senjutsu. I didn't even know Bouchujutsu could do half the things I'm learning about. I don't know if even Sun-sensei knows about it. And between us, I don't want to have that conversation."
"So, then that'll mean we'll have to figure it out ourselves."
Alice stated suggestively.
"Unless I receive some advice somewhere, I guess so."
Kensei added wearing a smile.
In response to that, Alice kissed Kensei on the forehead, causing the female students to gasp and come close to passing out, whereas the male students felt slightly jealous. He wondered if this was some kind of response to him kissing her on the cheek this early in the morning.
Not much time passed until the teacher appeared in the classroom, causing the students to return to their seats, and then proceed with their first lesson. It kept going from there as the students started getting back into the rhythm of things, the teacher didn't get right into the lessons and instead took a careful approach. A normal lesson to get their minds back to the school work.
It could have been due to it being them returning to school and nothing too eventful, but time seemed to pass far quicker than normal. There wasn't much either of them could do in their respective clubs aside from going over a lot of the basics meant for those such as the Student Council, Disciplinary Committee, and Newspaper Club, on top of the Computer and Art Club. Although, for the last two, it seemed similar to the martial arts club, it was as if the members practiced to impress their most important members.
Right after school ended, as planned, the Kibou Group left for their main building, the Kibou Alliance, where the usual people worked and moved around, most of them holding and working on their Oracle-based devices. Upon seeing the main members, the members as per usual greeted them with smiles and gestures. As most could see, the Kibou Alliance was similar to a close-knit family instead of a business partner.
Kensei and the others heard that the Kibou Alliance was doing their own thing for the summer too, and making a lot of preparations from their end. Both in terms of developing the base and themselves to prepare against Yami, on top of Hikage.
Not much time passed until the Numbers and their teams came together in their meeting room, which also looked a bit different. Everyone sat down including Abigail in their appropriate spots, there were more seats where their team members sat down.
"Well, it has been a long time since we gathered together like this."
Zane stated, wearing a smile at the group.
"Yeah. I see there have been some improvements in the meeting room."
Maria stated, wearing an interested look.
"No kidding. I doubt that the modifications are going to be simple."
Kensei added, feeling as if the chair that he, Number 01 sat in was much different than what he remembered.
"Heh, well, their leader is quite the imaginative oddball himself."
Hisui stated, smiling as she sat in the chair with her arms resting at the edge, hugging them.
"Hm, that is our Zane."
Abigail started smiling like an older sister teasing her little brother, who reacted by staring in another direction with an embarrassed expression. It was a known fact that neither of the upper Numbers could react at all when it came to Abigail teasing them.
"Well, let us get to it then," Zane added, wanting to settle things without becoming the target of teasing from Abigail and the others. "First, I think that we should talk about this first."
He activated the virtual keyboard and then started pressing the different keys, as virtual screens appeared around the room, with different events being portrayed on them. It was the incidents that resolved around the varied modified Youkai and Daiyoukai that attacked them, which was recorded by their Oracle Phones.
"Before the summer ended, we ended up confronting Youkai and also four Daiyoukai that had been modified into stronger versions of themselves," Kensei stated, turning his attention to the screen, with the Omukade and those three Umibouzu. "As Lingqi explained matured Omukade was much harder and resistant to the things that affected the others in the past. It was smarter and used tactics that a normal one wouldn't. The same thing could be said about the Umibouzu."
On-screen, their fights against the matured Omukade and the three Umibouzu, with the people recalling both the power and tactics that the four Daiyoukai showcased. In the end, after managing to split the Omukade in half, it seemed as if it was trying to regeneration before the shadow returned it.
"Hm, despite splitting it in half, the Omukade was still alive and tried regenerating from the attack. I'm guessing it can recover and become bigger after molting. Seeing as someone from Yami brought it back, I can tell that this wouldn't be the last time that we see him."
Maria added, pointing at the scene when the Omukade vanished.
"There's also the Umibouzu that I almost came close to killing, but they were teleported out of there. Their ability to manipulate the ocean and influence the weather was amplified from them being in close contact, causing an instantaneous thunderstorm," Kensei added, noticing the fight that he had with the three of them along Yasaka. "I tried hitting the main one with Umibouzu of my best attacks, but the other two prioritized its survival above their survival."
Going over the battles the group fought, up against the modified Youkai, Abigail takes the situation in with a medical mindset.
"Hm, I did hear that Kunou's father modified them at a genetic level, granting them abilities that neither of them had before. A lot of them could say that despite not being biological, altering a person's overall biological structure is something that should require incredible knowledge of a person's biology to not mess up. I guess that goes to show his level of skill as a doctor."
Abigail pointed out, noting the Youkai's enhancements which were different from the ones that they fought off or met in the past.
"Yeah, Mom said that he's someone as skilled as her. His ability to change someone's biology is similar to how we Senjutsu users heal ourselves and others. But, this instead simulates one's natural ability to adapt and evolve. In theory, my mom should be able to do the same thing, but she doesn't like stepping outside her boundaries as a doctor. Plus, there are always some unknowns to doing that," Hisui added, standing up straight in the chair. "And it doesn't a genius to guess that Kazuo is likely modifying the soldiers too. So, now we're going to have a bunch of super soldiers to fight against now."
Hisui brought up a point that a lot of them thought of already when thinking of the fact Kazuo could modify beings such as Youkai. So, the group expected that the normal Humans could be enhanced, turning them into stronger soldiers. And the thought of it made them wonder how prepared they would need to be, as at most, the men could be as strong as Middle-Class Devils if not High-Class Devils in terms of physical abilities; added to their military training and mental conditioning that could make them more dangerous. On top of that, aside from their previous soldiers, there were the Black Dragon Alliance's combatants.
"Hm, well, enhancements or not. Our people haven't been skipping out on their training either. So fighting against even average High-Class Devil or Middle-Class wouldn't be a bother," Kensei stated, with his mind thinking back to the Yami soldiers that he fought against before. "The real issue is the people like Jason and Mason, on top of the others of the Dragon Claws. All of them are a part of the same group, the Scourge. So, aside from the Ordinals, their group is the strongest among Yami. At most, we're aware they have Staring Gold and Arbor Field. And all the Dragon Claws have Sacred Gears, right?"
At that moment, Kensei directed that question to Lingqi, who stood up intending to explain.
"Yes, each member of the Dragon Claws uses Sacred Gear and is the sole member among the Black Dragon Alliance who could stand close to him. And I noticed that after seeing the draconic traits in Gang's Balance Breaker."
Lingqi replied.
"Hm, are you aware of some of their Sacred Gears?"
"No, at most, Jun's Sacred Gear has been the one we guessed due to the destruction caused. But, based on the damages caused to the different factions in China that were attacked," Lingqi answered Maria's question, before getting in thought. "In some locations, there was destructive power and burns that were different from lightning. It reminds me of the damage caused by Heracles, so I'm guessing one has Variant Detonation. And then there are locations where it was left covered in ice, others where men were bleeding from their mouths without an external wound. So, I'm guessing an Ice-type and Poison-type Sacred Gear."
Lingqi explained, thinking about the evidence acquired from the various attacks that the Black Dragon Alliance conducted, whether from Jun himself or those among the Dragon Claws.
"I have created a Sacred Gear Database listing the number of Sacred Gears that there are, starting from those of the Kibou Alliance and opponents that we've fought against thus far. I'll see if there are any matching those types among them. Hm, if I ask Grigori for help, then the database will progress," Zane stated, then looked at Lingqi. "I do appreciate the information, Lingqi. In the end, Yami and the Black Dragon Alliance will be caught and put in the prisons we made."
"I don't doubt that."
Lingqi replied, smiling at the thought of that before sitting down.
"And Jun's fate is going to be left up to you," Kensei added, as Lingqi felt more determined at that. "Well, let's get to the point that Hisui mentioned."
"Kay, Ken Ken," Hisui waved her hand before taking the reigns and bringing up a different photo on the screen, which showed off a training room. On-screen, it showed the people among Hisui's particular group who focused on gathering information through their means. "My Nekomeshuu informed me that they had been training all over the summer to further improve themselves in terms of information gathering and stealth. And so, they found and trained under a Ninja."
[Oh?]
Hearing those words caused the people in the meeting room to become surprised by what Hisui informed them all about. To hear the word Ninja come out like that wasn't something that either of them was expecting, because of the significance behind it.
"Oh, it's surprising that they managed to find a Ninja."
"Well, 'find' is a bit complicated. It seems as if the old master is as skilled as ever, seeing as he felt that someone was tracking him. I heard that the members who went looking for him ended up getting tied up in the traps that he placed for them," Hisui stated, feeling almost amused from hearing that and seeing their reactions to being put in traps like that. "But, instead of seeming insulted from the stalking, it sounds as if it was a good experience for him because he's been bored for a while."
At the mention of that, Hisui thought back to the time the members of her Nekomeshuu, the intelligence gathering group founded by her talked about their experience. She couldn't help laughing at the thought of them being tied up in the ways they described, which made them wonder if their then Sensei was too experienced in binding.
"Well, nonetheless, it sounds like a good experience to have learned from Ninjutsu from a real-life Ninja. I imagine it'll be able to improve their ability to function as an information-gathering group."
Maria added.
"Also, our group will now have some Shinobi and Kunoichi too."
Abigail joked, clapping her hands together once.
A lot of people might have some misconception about what Ninjas are, Abigail being one of them a long time ago until she learned about them from Kensei. But, knowing about them and the fact that their group is filled up with a lot of special ability users.
"I taught them a little bit of Ki Manipulation, not outright Senjutsu, but they're adept at dimming their presence. It'll be improved from what they learned from their Ninja Sensei. Plus, the people who learned the Ninjutsu from him will be taught to the other members of Nekomeshuu who didn't learn it. And with what Ken Ken taught them, it'll be possible to develop something more 'original'."
Hisui mentioned, emphasizing that the members of the Nekomeshuu should be able to develop their own original Ninjutsu. The thought of that made them wonder about the kind of things that the group could create through what they learned based on their experiences. In any case, this seemed as if their ability to gather information without being caught would progress.
"Well, this is going to be interesting," Zane noted at the thought of having Ninjas in their group, as ideas started to enter his mind. "I know that my brothers have become interested in creating more exotic clothing and items no one in the family has thought of making. And then there's my dad who has gotten interested in the weapons that are made in Shintoism like katanas. I'll send them the designs that'll match you guys and the top of the weapons that match."
Everyone heard that Zane was becoming the most excited at the thought of the group having Shinobi among the group, more so at the prospect of his family developing them. Although, the Wayland Family is famed as a family of craftsmen, like the Valkyrie, the lesser number of heroes have lessened the need for them. So, forming the Kibou Alliance has reignited the craftsman family's fire, with their exotic requests aiding in keeping that flame lit.
"Alright, calm down."
Lena stated, staring at Zane from behind, but was enough for him to feel a faint chill down his spine.
"Hah, sorry."
Zane replied, scratching his head.
"Well, that's about what we wanted to discuss in regards to the Kibou Alliance and what Yami is likely going to be doing in the future. Aside from that, we need to think of potential countermeasures against Hikage and then there is something else," Maria listed out, showing tactical thought no different from Zane. "The Mazoku. I think that it'll be troublesome dealing with them once they're completed."
Maria brought up another target that a lot of them thought about too, thinking back to the fights that they had with the Mazoku in Kibou Town. The damage that the group left a permanent scar on those who experienced the normal Humans who had their minds erased from those incidents. There was something else that made them more worried about the completed Mazoku.
"A lot of the Mazoku have Sacred Gears too. So, imagining them being able to use them, on top of the possibility of Balance Breakers is going to be concerning. And there are the changes that might have occurred in their Sacred Gears after turning into Sub-Species or other irregularities."
Zane added, thinking back to the other Mazoku.
"And there's the fact that the base used for them, the Amagiri Clan are a part of the same generation as me that every adult said would be the strongest generation. So, none of them would be weaker than I am, on top of some being better than me at certain things. None of them could use the same techniques as the Amagiri-ryuu, but their combat instincts alone make them as dangerous. There's also the fact that like me, they're related to those among the clan who were born with Longinus Sacred Gears too."
Kensei explained, that they thinking about fighting people who were similar to him, but the difference was that they weren't as intelligent or strategic as him. But, their mutated bodies, added to the Amagiri Clan's unique genetics could make them stronger and adapted to those modifications.
"Is there any way to turn them back?"
Abigail asked, bringing up something that was always in the back of their minds, but neither of them brought it up to not cause false hope. All of them felt nothing short of sympathetic for the kids and teens turned into those monstrosities forced to murder their parents. There was silence in the room, as no one could utter a single word in response until someone raised their hand.
"There might be a way, but it's just a hunch."
Kensei was the person who raised their hand.
"Huh, is there?"
Maria asked surprised.
"My maternal ancestor turned into something similar due to sealing different spirits and demons inside her body, causing mutations. All those mutations are what caused the Amagiri Clan to have a unique genetic composition that makes them adaptable to the supernatural. I'm guessing caused them to have the idea to turn them into Mazoku with forbidden techniques."
Kensei replied, catching their attention.
"How did she turn back?"
"My paternal ancestor burned the corruption the first time, with the other self retreating into her soul. But, it wasn't the last time that she came out," Kensei informed, having finished reading the book left behind. "In the past, after the then Five Principal Clan targeted the Amagiri Clan due to the Longinus, she managed to tame and unite with her other half."
"Hm, I can imagine the theory. All the locations that the Mazoku went to before were places that children would go to. So, their memories are still intact, meaning their souls aren't entirely engulfed," Zane stated, finding himself in thought. "It's never an impossibility to save someone. So, I'll keep thinking about some things that'll help with all that I know about Shintoism."
"I'm working on some things based on what I know might work with them. So, I'll know who to come to for help."
Kensei stated, causing the tenseness in the air to start subsiding, and returned some hope that things would begin to turn out for the better.
"Alright, I guess that the first meeting since the summer's end is as good as it could have ever been. Aside from talking about our other smaller branches of the Kibou Alliance spread into the other Amagiri Clan's territories. I'd like to call this a successful meeting."
Due to having the members to spare and some members being those who either graduated or attended schools in those territories, smaller branches connected to the main one were built. It was because of them that, the other towns belonging to the Amagiri Clan remained as safe as Kibou Town. Plus, their group kept finding those who were going through troubles due to their Sacred Gears or other abilities, making them feel at home in those towns.
"Hm, I believe that it'll be good to review the bases just in case."
Maria added, not wanting to take the chance that there would end up being something wrong. It was a feeling all of them shared, seeking to maintain the peace their group obtained after freeing themselves from imprisonment. It was the reason their group put themselves through so much training over the summer break, some finding the people considered to be 'the strongest' to instruct them, like Vasco Strada and Tiamat.
"No matter what happens, we're not going to lose this battle," Kensei stated raising his feet, placing his hand on the terminal causing the map of Japan to appear with areas where Hikage's activities have been reported. "And we're not going to let Arata ruin the futures of these innocent people for no reason other than out of spite. All of us have our reasons for what led us here, but there's one thing that we can agree on. And that's because no one could decide that they can ruin someone's life for their benefit."
"That's right, we got tired of people like Taro doing whatever they want."
"That's the reason we formed the Kibou Alliance."
"A place where everyone can find a home and have hope."
"And heal the hearts of those who suffered abuse."
All the Numbers gave out their responses, sharing the same belief that the Kibou Alliance was meant to be an organization that granted someone peace and hope. Each member rose to their feet, looking at each other with an assured and determined look. Neither of the Numbers was alone as their teammates stood up and stepped behind them as if to support their determination. On top of that, each one of them had opponents among Yami whom they needed to overcome to free themselves from the humiliation felt and almost failing to protect the people important to them.
After taking their seats again, the group decided to discuss their final business before breaking off for the rest of the day to do their things. As students returned to their high school days, the group chose to finish up with their schoolwork and decided to rest for the rest of the day.

To look normal, I guess that Rias or Akeno scatters and it appears normal afterward," Kensei stated, thinking back to feeling the dragon power that built up in Issei's arm the last time they met. "But, because your body has monster flesh and cells, which were born from shadows. I guess that means the same energy that makes them up is inhabiting your body. So, if I spread it through your body, then it'll improve things right?"
"Eh?"
Alice couldn't respond with normal words as her mind was stuck in pleasure.
She didn't react at all as Kensei turned her body around causing her to face him, then captured her lips with her immediately melting in the kiss. It didn't take long for their lips and tongues to mesh together in almost complete synergy without much time. Her body was then placed down on her back with Kensei on top of her, as her right legs started to wrap around his waist.
"Let's see what happens now."
Kensei stated, removing his boxers, causing his erection to spring out with Alice's hazy eyes staring at the thing in front of her. He then leaned forward, spreading her legs as he aligned himself with her entrance, pressing it up against her before sliding in.

During that, he felt the same energy building up in him, feeling a reaction from his Dragon Ki too, which in the heat of the moment spread throughout his body, in particular, at his dick.
During all this, Alice's mind was filled with nothing but pleasure as she climaxed without registering it, as she was feeling her body heating up.

"Well, there's something more unique about Bouchujutsu the more I use it," Kensei stated, recalling the feeling of that 'unique energy' it produced, which influenced their aura and body. "Hm, Senjutsu does lead to the body and life force being steadily improved from training. So, Bouchujutsu could do the same thing, but instead, it happens during sex. Hah, I don't feel comfortable asking Sun-sensei about this, which will be the most awkward conversation. I guess I could ask a god related to this, but…."
Among the gods that Kensei knew about the most, it would be those among the Greek Faction, with the first one to enter his mind being Aphrodite. But—
"I don't want to have 'that' conversation with Aphrodite-san of all people after the last interaction I had with her," Kensei thought back to the first time that he met Aphrodite and almost felt himself smitten by her presence, but not the same level as most. It seemed as if she had some interest in him after that, but…. "I don't want to get involved in a Greek Love Triangle. Claire and the others said they don't mind anything as long as it's consensual. But, we all agreed that most trouble from their faction was because because of love affairs. Well, I'll think about it. There are other gods I could ask."
At that thought, Kensei found himself drifting off to sleep himself as Alice wrapped her arms around him, with the two sleeping in peace.
A/N: And there goes the next chapter of DxD – The Last Amagiri, this is the start of the eleventh volume, where their summer ends and return to school. It seems as if Kensei has started to become a little more intimate with Ravel, but not reaching that level. Not much happened aside from the Numbers' meeting in their personal meeting room, discussing the enemies in front of him, Hikage, Yami, and the Mazoku, with the change that Kazuo has modified their soldiers, which he did plan on doing. But, Kensei still hasn't lost hope that he could save his clan member who turned into demons.
In the end, there was a lemon between Kensei and Alice, this time exploring Bouchujutsu, which is an ancient technique. Kensei came up with some hints about what it's about, but wonders if there's some kind of advice he could ask, wondering if he should ask the Greek Gods. Well, this is High School DxD, so there's going to be something more to it.
Also, I should let some people know that I might not go with Xenovia after all, seeing as there might be some issues in writing the scenes and proceeding with further the story, on top of taking someone else from Issei and seeming as if I'm doing too much.
