Howling 6
After pulling themselves together, Sam and Mike enter the house, shaken. Wolf had scared them when he crept up on them; they brought in the supplies. They walk to the kitchen, where Victoria, the head maid, talks to the girls. "Okay, we need to make sure she stays healthy. Adolpha will need plenty to eat." Mike and Sam set the supplies down, "We got everything you asked for." Victoria looks at them.
Mike didn't like how she was staring at them; he made an awkward look. Victoria asked them to follow her; they headed to the living room. "Whatever it is, we didn't do it," Mike says. Sam agrees, "We are innocent." Victoria told them to quiet down.
She stared at them again. Mike and Sam got nervous. "What I am going to tell you will shock you. This puts everyone at risk of death." Mike and Sam looked at each other. Victoria breathed deeply. "Mike, Sam, Adolpha is pregnant." It took a second; Sam became excited. "WOW, wonderful." Mike looked in despair.
"Isn't it a joyous celebration, Mike; why the long face?" Mike looks at Sam and smacks him on the head, "You idiot, this is bad." "Why did you hit me?" Mike explains the trouble the two will be in. Sam becomes frightened, "What are we going to do, Mike?" "I don't know; if the girl is pregnant and Captain Harris finds out…" "What did you say," Victoria asks, shocked.
Mike laughs awkwardly, "A messenger delivered a letter to us; it said that Captain Harris would be coming. He is Lord Michael's guest." Victoria thinks, "Captain Harris, Lord Michael's most trusted business partner. A man as villainous as him." Victoria told them they should be prepared to get punished, "I am afraid that this isn't looking good; as I said before, I will ensure the safety of the girls."
Mike and Sam were concerned. Victoria told them to continue working; they should mind their own business and let them take care of Adolpha. Mike got upset. He yelled at her about being a bossy old woman. Victoria slapped him across the face, "Listen, I have held my tongue about how you have handled your work; I let your selfish antics run on for long enough. This matter cannot be overlooked!"
Mike was scared; he held his face. The other maids were quietly hearing all this. Wolf was outside, but he heard them yelling. Victoria leaves them and heads to her room. Sam tries to comfort Mike. Mike was upset; he sat on the couch and asked Sam to get him something to drink. After some time, Mike had cooled off; he was thinking about what to do. Sam was scared and only thought about how they were going to die. Mike thought of something, "What if she wasn't pregnant?"
Sam looks at Mike, "What, but she is?" Mike makes an evil expression. He whispers his thoughts in Sam's ear. Sam becomes shocked and says he won't do it. "It is the only way; come think about it," Mike says. Sam stares at Mike, disappointed, and he leaves the room. Mike gets upset with Sam.
The maids took food to Adolpha; they saw how happy she seemed. Adolpha smiled at them, which was new to them. The maids made small talk; Wolf heard and listened to them talk. The maids asked Adolpha if she was going to keep the baby. This confused her; one of the maids reminded her about Lord Michael.
Adolpha got worried. She then remembered her mother talking about when she was born: "I was so happy. You and your brother mean the world to me. Adolpha, when you become a mother, you will see how wonderful it is." Adolpha looked at them, "I am not afraid." The maids looked at each other; they looked at Adolpha and encouraged her.
Wolf had left; he was at his campsite. He was lost in thoughts. He remembered doing all kinds of evil deeds for Lord Michael; he didn't think about anything. Wolf then thought about Captain Harris, who made him the way he is. Wolf looked at the cabin; he thought about Adolpha and the baby.
Adolpha was alone in the cabin. She talked to her belly, all happy. She looked at the drawing on the wall and explained to it, "This is Ardolph, and he is dumb. He may be your uncle, but he is a slow warrior. Next to him was me when I was small, HAHAHA… Mother… Father…"." She began to tear up.
I was late. Mike had left for the mainland. He was in a bar getting drunk, and Sam was home drinking. The maids were getting ready for bed. They talked about their day. Some were scared about the situation, while others tried to keep positive. Victoria was sitting in her room, looking out through the window.
Wolf had started his patrol; he was by the docks, staring off into the distance. He continued to the other side of the island. As Wolf walked the shoreline, he heard something; he turned around and saw Adolpha. She tried to scare him. Wolf didn't know what to say. Adolpha cheerfully walked to the water.
Wolf stared at her; he thought again about their situation. He then thought about his child being born and living like them. He imagined Adolpha chained; he, on the other hand, would probably be dead. Adolpha turns to him, "Wolf, look, this seashell looks beautiful."
Adolpha saw Wolf make a serious expression, which scared her a little. "You are not safe here," he said. "What?" Adolpha replied. Wolf walked up to her. Lord Michael will be angry about what I did. You are not safe." Adolpha was confused by what he was saying. I will free you." Adolpha stayed silent; the cold wind blew, and only the sound of the waves was heard.
The following morning, Mike had woken up at the bar. He got drunk and couldn't get home. The townsfolk knew him, so they let him sleep in the bar. The people were waking up, and some were walking into the bar. They sat and ordered something to drink. The bar also served breakfast and coffee.
The barkeep places a cup of coffee for Mike. Mike's head was hurting, and he felt sick. As he recovered, he heard some locals talk about some missing boats. They said they still hadn't found them; Mike ignored it. They also talk about the Umbridge Kingdom making moves. Mike gets up and heads out.
Mike heads to the docks and gets on a boat. Some people see him and greet him. Mike says nothing. He heads out on his way back to the island. On his way back, more townsfolk see him; they are working on some islands. They greet Mike; Mike nods at them.
The townsfolk never questioned what happened on the islands. They all respected Lord Michael; he helped them when their town was poor. The people respected his privacy and only stepped on the island for business. When there were deliveries, the workers left them on the docks. Mike reached the island and headed home.
Wolf had left Adolpha in the cabin. Adolpha stared at some seashells she had collected; she was lost in thought about what Wolf told her, "I will free you…" The maids came in with her breakfast. They made sure she was feeling all right. Adolpha ate breakfast. Wolf was at his camp, thinking of a way to free Adolpha. He needed to take her off the island, but he also had doubts about doing it. He went to sleep thinking about it.
Mike went to sleep in his bed; Sam saw him but said nothing. He left and went to help the maids. Victoria was working on some paperwork. She had to keep records of some financial spending and notes about house maintenance, but something else was on her mind. Victoria walked over to her window and looked at the cabin, "What am I to do?"
After some time, Victoria headed to the kitchen to check on the others. They were talking. One of the girls asked Victoria if they could go to the mainland. They wanted to relax for a change. Victoria saw that they looked exhausted; she sighed and agreed. The girls got excited; Victoria told them to finish what they could before leaving.
In the afternoon, the girls were ready; Victoria would stay and look after Adolpha. Sam was going to steer the boat. The girls left, and Wolf saw them leaving; he returned to his campsite. Mike has woken up and heads to the kitchen; he looks around and sees no one.
Mike sees some food and serves himself. Victoria walks in and sees him. Mike is still upset and says nothing. Victoria serves herself and another plate and heads out to the cabin. Mike stands up and looks out the window, "I will not die for her mistake."
On the mainland, the girls looked around; they hadn't been to the mainland that often. Sam followed them and helped carry some things. The girls stopped at the mail store; some wanted to send letters back home. Once they finished, they headed somewhere to eat.
While they ate, some men approached them to talk. They asked many questions, which made them feel uncomfortable. Sam stood up and asked to leave; the men made fun of him. Sam mentioned Lord Michael and the men went. The girls thanked him, and they left. They were done relaxing, so they headed back.
Adolpha had lunch with the head Maid, Victoria. Victoria asked her how she was doing. Adolpha was nervous at first because she hadn't done that before. It was all new to her; she eventually relaxed. Victoria had some fun with her. Wolf was outside listening to them.
The group returned to the island; it was peaceful and like usual. The maids reported to Victoria and then unpacked some things. Sam saw Mike by himself in the living room. Mike was drinking; he saw Sam and said nothing. The day went on, and it was dark. Adolpha was giving her dinner.
That night, Adolpha stayed inside because it was cold, and she felt sick. Wolf patrolled the island and thought of a way to free Adolpha. Everyone had gone to sleep, but Victoria stayed awake looking after Adolpha. The following day came with a surprise.
The sun was rising, and some townsfolk were heading to check on the orchards. The maids got ready for the day. A sudden horn and bells woke up everyone. Wolf got up and headed in the direction of the bells. Adolpha woke up scared. Sam and Mike also woke up and went to look.
The townsfolk also wondered what that was. They headed to the dock and saw a fleet of ships passing by. Lord Michael's island was the last of the chain of islands; it was closer to the ocean. Most ships don't get near the islands, and only some boats go out to fish.
Everyone was confused and amazed by the site. Victoria, the head maid, notices one of the ship's masts. It flew the Umbridge Kingdom flag. Sam and Mike headed to the beach to get a better look. Sam asked Mike if he knew who they were. "That is a fleet from the Kingdom; don't you see the Phoenix on the flags."
Once all the ships passed, it became the talk of the town. On the island, the maids talked about. Sam and Mike were also talking about it. Victoria told them to work and forget about it. Wolf was with Adolpha, and he told her about the ships. Adolpha said she wanted to see them.
"Hey Mike, do you think that's why Lord Michael hasn't returned?" Sam asked. Mike said he had no idea. Sam then remembered hearing that some soldiers had passed by, too. Mike said he heard that, too. They began to think about what was happening.
Later that night, when everyone went to bed, Adolpha felt better. She sneaked out and went over to Wolf, who was waiting. Adolpha wanted to know more about the ship. Wolf said he didn't know much about them. They walked around the island. This brought out the kid still within Adolpha; she pretended to be a soldier.
Adolpha began talking about her people, which made her smile. Wolf listened to her. They stopped by the beach, and Adolpha looked for more seashells. Wolf looked towards the ocean; he then thought of something. Adolpha ran to him to show him the shell. "I know how to get you out," "EH," Adolpha is surprised.
Wolf took Adolpha to his camp, made a fire, and had her warm up. Adolpha was still surprised by what Wolf told her. She didn't know what to say. As she stared at the fire, she became tired and fell asleep. Wolf stared at her before picking her up.
Wolf took her to the cabin and covered her on the bed with blankets. He looked at her wall, which had more drawings. One had a picture of a brown-haired wolf beast man, a woman wolf beast man, and a small baby; they were happy. Wolf had made up his mind.
The following morning, the maids came into the cabin and had Adolph's breakfast. Adolpha was still asleep. One of the maids woke her up. Adolpha slowly opened her eyes and realized she was back in the cabin. She got upset, and the maids saw her make an upset face. Adolpha complained about it.
The maids were surprised because Adolpha was speaking; they usually didn't hear her. One of the maids asked why she was upset. Adolpha said she fell asleep while spending time with Wolf. The maids were surprised. "You spent time with Wolf," one of the maids asked. Adolpha finally realized she was talking to the maids.
Adolpha thought she had made a mistake, so the maids became interested and asked her questions. They only knew that Wolf had impregnated Adolpha after the attack on the island. They were always curious but didn't ask her. Adolpha felt happy talking to them, so she told them a little about herself, and they did the same.
Victoria, the head maid, wondered why the girls were late coming back, so she went to check on them. The maids were talking to Adolpha. "AHEM," the maids turned around and saw Victoria. They realized they were late getting back to work. The maids quickly cleaned up and left. Victoria saw Adolpha's facial expression and left.
Mike and Sam looked like they had made up; they headed to the mainland. In town, the townsfolk began to get ready for the new year. That night, Adolpha was eating her dinner; the maids watching her were the same as the morning. They talk to Adolpha about the New Year's celebration. Adolpha was excited to hear about it.
Later, after everyone went to sleep, Adolpha left the cabin and headed towards Wolf, who was digging a hole. "What are you doing," she asks him. Wolf stopped; he told her not to worry, "Let us go." This confused her. Wolf and Adolpha went on a walk. When they reached the beach, Adolpha began talking about the maids.
"They are nice. They told me about themselves. They said they are also separated from their families." Wolf saw her expression change; she was angry, sad, scared, and excited but happy. Adolpha mentioned the New Year celebration the town was going to have. Wolf calmly spoke.
"Adolpha, I am getting you off this island; we will travel through the sea." Adolpha again was confused; she had forgotten he had told her he would free her. "What do you mean?" "Do you want to see your family again?" "Yes, but…" Wolf looked at her. I will make that happen." Wolf told her what he was planning to do.
He said they would escape through the sea, "I thought about it; when the ships passed, I knew that would be the only way to get you out." Wolf said he would prepare what they needed. Adolpha was still having trouble understanding. "For now, I need you to stay in the cabin; please trust me."
Mike and Sam were returning late from the mainland. They were drunk again; Sam began to talk, "What if we leave before Lord Michael comes back," "What," Mike replied. "Mike, let's leave; we can change our appearance and hide from Lord Michael." "Don't be stupid, that won't work. Lord Michael is too well connected; he will find us." "Then what are we going to do?" "Just stick to the plan; we are going to blame Wolf for all this," "AH, I forgot." Mike and Sam returned home.
The following morning, Adolpha was sad and lost in thought. The maids came and served her breakfast. They also had breakfast with them. Victoria allowed them to eat with Adolpha. Adolpha was happy; they began to talk more about themselves. Wolf was awake; he was making plans.
The maids were happily listening to Adolpha. They asked more questions; Adolpha told them about other places she was locked. "Lord Michael didn't always keep me away from everyone else. I used to be in large rooms decorated with expensive-looking things. The other maids would still do the same as you do."
The girls got sad hearing that. Adolpha continued, telling them she had to learn their customs and all sorts of things. Adolpha remembered the harsh lessons Lord Michael put her through. The girls insulted Lord Michael, calling him names. The girls were done eating, so they cleaned up and left. Adolpha went and lay on her bed.
Victoria was in Lord Michael's office; she had the bracelet. Victoria activated it, and a bookshelf reacted. The bookshelf moved, revealing a door. Victoria opened the door, and a large safe was behind it. She again activated the bracelet, and the safe opened. Inside the safe were several crystals, papers, and some gold coins.
Victoria took some and left; she closed the door and headed out. Mike was in the living room. Victoria called him, handed him a piece of paper and gold coins, and said, "I need you to get these supplies." Mike took the piece of paper and went looking for Sam.
Sam was helping the maids put the laundry out when Mike called and told him they needed to go to the mainland. Sam apologized to the girls and left. Mike and Sam headed to the dock, got on a boat; they departed. Wolf had started his patrol early. He saw Mike and Sam leave.
Wolf looked at the nearby island workers and saw their boats. He was thinking of a way to get one, but he was also thinking of other things; he needed supplies. Wolf walked into the orchard on the island. He looked for whatever he could to make rope. Wolf walked around, keeping his route the same but exploring more this time.
Wolf found some old rope and crates. After looking for some rocks, he took the rope and ensured it was strong. He broke the stones to sharpen them, and Wolf cut some branches. It took several hours, and it had become late. Mike and Sam had returned from the mainland.
Sam and Mike unloaded some bags and headed home. Once they get inside, they go and drop off the bags. The maids were finishing preparing dinner. Sam was putting down the rest of the bags; Mike went over to Victoria and gave her the change. Victoria stopped Mike before he left, "Wait, here," she paid them. Mike was surprised.
Mike then remembered something. He pulled out some letters from a bag. He told Victoria they were letters from the townsfolk wishing them a happy New Year. Victoria took them and set them on the table; she thanked him. Mike went to the living room; Sam came in after.
The maids took Adolpha her dinner; they also ate with her. Adolpha was happily eating. She was eating something new, "Adolpha, you have to eat everything," one of the maids said. "No, that doesn't look good," she replied. The maid explained that it was good for her. Adolpha made a face.
It was a new day; it was still cold outside. Mike was in the living room eating, and Sam was again helping the maids. There was a knock at the door. Mike got up and went to check; he wasn't thinking. He opened the door and saw a letter on the floor. He picked it up and looked around for the messenger.
Mike shrugs his shoulders and closes the door. He looks at the letter; there is no seal. Mike opens it and reads it; he begins to shake. Mike runs, looking for Sam. Some of the maids working inside hear him. Victoria wonders what is happening. Everyone then hears Mike. They go and see what the commotion is.
Sam came into the house and saw Mike panicking. "Mike, what's wrong," he asked. Victoria walked into the kitchen and also asked him what was wrong. Mike waved the letter, "This is bad, this is bad, really bad." Victoria tried to calm him down. Wolf heard the commotion and approached the house.
Mike gave the letter to Victoria; she read it and became concerned. The girls also worried, "What is it, madam," one asked. Victoria looked at them, "Captain Harris is almost here. Lord Michael wants us to be ready for his arrival." Wolf becomes shocked; he leaves, "I need to hurry!" The maids looked at each other.
Victoria told them not to worry and to continue their actions. Mike and Sam were scared, and they also looked at each other. Mike left, and Sam followed. Adolpha knew nothing and was waiting for her lunch; it was strange that they hadn't come.
Adolpha hears movement outside; she goes to her window to see. Wolf takes some rope the maids left out, confusing Adolpha. The maids arrive with her lunch. Adolpha notices they are worried. The maids pretend nothing is wrong; they don't stay with Adolpha this time, confusing Adolpha even more.
The day continues with worries in the air. Victoria also could not focus; she was in her room thinking about what might happen. It became late, and everyone went to sleep worried. Adolpha didn't want to stay in the cabin and snuck out; she followed Wolf to the beach. "I told you that you need to stay inside the cabin." "I don't want to; it is boring," she replied.
Wolf let it go and continued to work on his plan. Adolpha saw what he had; they were stick boxes. Adolpha asked what they were. Wolf told her they were traps. "Are they to catch fish?" "No, they are for something else," Wolf explained, saying they were for lobsters. He told her he would catch them and use them as bait for fish.
Adolpha was surprised. She mentioned fishermen in her village: "The fishermen of my village use spears and nets. They always catch a bunch." Wolf went over to the orchard and cut more sticks. He then built a fire: "Wait here." Wolf took his shirt off and walked to the water. Wolf jumped in; Adolpha was shocked: "Wolf!"
Adolpha looked around but could not see him. She tried to pick up his scent but could only smell the ocean. Adolpha then saw a shadowy figure on the next island. The shadow went further into the island; after a while, they came back. It had a bag; they went into the water again. Wolf came out of the water and shook; he got close to the fire and warmed himself.
"Where did you go?" Adolpha asked him. Wolf had dropped the bag he had. Adolpha looked inside; there were more empty sacks and farming tools. Wolf was still cold and had trouble speaking. We will need supplies; I can find things on the other islands. The works leave tools on the islands.
Adolpha was worried about him; she then had mixed feelings about escaping. Wolf looks at her. He told her it would be fine, "This is nothing; I have been through much worse…" Wolf remembers getting beat up. Lord Michael's words in the background, "You worthless beast; how did you let him beat you! Next time, I won't be merciful."
Adolpha sat next to him and helped him warm up. Wolf slowly stopped shaking. He looked at her. She was nervous and unknown to him; she was blushing. They both stared at the fire, and Adolpha smiled.
