UA Multiverse Peek
Chapter 11
So no fun title for this one. Couldn't think of one right away that fit for the theme that would be only two words. So I'm just getting right to the start, and what could maybe be a full independent story if enough people like it. So on with the show.

The next day for the students was nothing too special. For most of the students anyway. Bakugo was forced to sit in on a meeting with the teachers about what influence he had on Izuku's bullying. After two hours of Aizawa glaring at him (as well as the incessant questioning from Present Mic) the bully broke.
At the end of the meeting, while they did not fully remove Bakugo given the late period in the year he was currently suspended and was not allowed to take part in training. And he was no longer allowed to attend the remedial hero licensing classes. At least until Hound Dog gave his approval, as the explosive teen also had to attend counseling sessions with the dog like teacher.
For the rest of the students though, more of them were curious on what would happen with the next series of videos could show. "I hope we get to see the Renaissance version again. Izio right? He was real easy on the eyes." Mina said with a teasing grin directed toward their version of the warrior. Who proceeded to blush brightly and bow his head down.
While Mineta and Kaminari were both cursing him for interesting the girls without trying, Kirishima had a different thought. "I wonder what kind of mess he's getting himself into this time. The next one they showed had him getting kidnapped and a giant freaking robot and monster in the image." "Indeed. It seems no matter the world, Midoriya gets himself into trouble." Tokoyami says with a light chuckle.
Izuku just sighs before asking what some of them thought of the last video they saw. "I quite enjoyed it myself. To be honest I wish we still had sports like that in the world today. Especially an exhilarating race like that!" Ida said with rapid chops of his hands. Momo agreed and wondered how her other self was supposed to handle that rag tag group of weirdos. "Ah come on! My other self wasn't that bad right?!" Kaminari said with panicked defense of his other version. While Itsuka and Kamikiri were looking forward to hopefully seeing more of the Kung Fu animal stories.
When Aizawa arrived, he explained the situation with Bakugo and what would be happening going forward. "Currently we've been considering a general course student to become a reserve hero course student. While Bakugo is suspended, the general course student will be attending training. Please welcome Hitoshi Shinso and help him improve his skills to be a hero." With that the sleepy-eyed student came into the classroom, and a few cheered for him. Izuku on of the loudest.
While Kirishima and Kaminari were uneasy about what happened with Bakugo, they knew that this had to be. 'I don't like it, but if Bakugo was like that or worse….. then the teachers have a point of trying to stop or curb it more.' Kirishima thought sadly about his friend. He then decided to ask him about some of the matters later.
When the students arrived home, Bakugo was at the table looking over some homework. "Don't say anything….. I already know you all know the score. I'll have to work myself back up…. But I will still become the number one." Bakugo said with an uncharacteristically calm voice. Most of them don't know how to react but they just nod before asking if the TV had shown anything else.
While initially a negative, the screen lights up before showing a 30-minute timer. "Ah just enough time to call the others and change." Momo says before heading towards her room. While each are going, they send some messages to the others who had been attending the viewing. When 20 minutes have passed, everyone who wanted to watch had arrived. With a few extras.
Namely all of class 1-B. When they were concerned about how they would all view the movies, the screen started to spark again. And with a flash the tv expanded to double the size. Allowing everyone to see it with clarity. "Should we be more concerned?" All Might asks Nezu after the incident. Nezu meanwhile is practically vibrating at not just what could happen next in the multiverses, but also what strange entity appears to be watching them all. (Its my story I can do what I want for it.)
Pushing otherworldly matters aside, the rest settled in for what new mess Izuku was getting wrapped up in. And the screen ticks down before lighting up again with the next set of action.
Just another bad day for Izuku Midoriya. First having to deal with bullies and then almost getting crushed by a villain rampaging through the streets. "Hey mister are you okay!?" Izuku asks as he helps up a star headed man who had been knocked over.
A few members of the audience were happy to see that even without a quirk, Izuku was still willing to help others. While Bakugo just looks to the side in annoyance.
The man thanks him before saying they needed to put some distance between themselves and the villain. They both get away before feeling the rumble of an earthquake. It started small enough but quickly shook the whole town. Even the villain stopped her rampage.
"Whoa. That was a big quake. Even the villain stopped. Did you see that she tried to hold up that building? Maybe she wanted to do hero work but couldn't," a few of the students in the audience say while watching the video. But some of the ones who saw the movie the night before wonder if it had something to do with the monster and robot.
When Izuku arrived home, he checked in with his mother. "Any damage here at home mom?" Inko smiled before saying, "just a bit. We'll have to pick up some new plates and cups after that earthquake. For now, how about we go out and get some dinner?" Izuku knows his mom is just covering up a bit, but he goes along with it for the time being. They head for the shopping center near them to enjoy a nice meal someone else made.
The girls coo and awe at seeing the nice little family moment with Izuku and his mom. While two others are more concerned for what could have happened. Namely Izuku and Bakugo. Thought the latter would never admit it.
Suddenly, the ground starts to rumble more and more. At first most think it is just another earthquake. But a few people notice something strange: the rumbling is in a rhythm. Like the steps of something large.
This make everyone's eyes widen, and a few think of a clip from an old movie with dinosaurs. And the T-Rex's steps in time with the vibrating of the water glass.
From the ocean, a massive beast with six legs bursts up. It has large insect like mandibles on its head and sturdy axe like horn above the glowing blue eyes. This is the kaiju Dynatas.
At seeing the massive beast, all of the audience have a collective jaw drop. With Eri diving into Mirio's arms. She whimpered as she remembered the monstrous form that Overhaul had taken to try and take her back. Izuku likewise thought of that man and gripped his arm in a bit of fear.
Suddenly two more beasts rise up from the sea. The first is an ape like beast with heavy horns on it head. The kaiju Wrecker. The second is a thinner monster, appearing more like a weasel or similar creature. The kaiju Guuma.
"HOLY SHIT! One was bad enough! Now there's THREE! This is bad! Very BAD!" some of the students say. Even the heroes in attendance are terrified at the idea of just one monster appearing. But three? 'Even at my maximum. My strongest state. I don't think I could even phase those things!' All Might thinks to himself.
All three wreck a series of ships docked in Mustafa harbor before coming up on the docks and stomping through the city. A first a few heroes try to stop or distract the beast. But it only leads to their deaths.
At seeing what happened to the heroes, the audience had a collective panic moment. "If that is what those guys have to deal with… could our quirks even stop them? And what would be the point to fighting those things if heroes can't do anything?" Mineta asks while trying to keep from wetting himself. Many of the other hero students think the same. And the pros meanwhile look down and just think of how useless they would be.
Suddenly a new sound rings out from the ocean. A loud whirring noise is heard something new arises from the ocean. A machine of massive proportions, with solid shoulders and sleek lines along the body. In the center is a glowing reactor, and the arms not only have what appear to be deployable shields but other attachments. This is Gipsy Breaker.
"That thing is awesome!" Kaminari says at seeing the heroic mech rise from the ocean. "And manly!" Kirishima and Tetsutetsu shout as they see the build and way it carries itself. Even the girls can't disagree, and All Might comments that it reminds him of some of the old cowboy heroes in movies.
From the head, the con pod, the two pilots are seen. The first on the left side is a woman with black hair and an olive tan complexion and fierce brown eyes. Damini Sharma. Her partner is a man with pale green eyes, chocolate brown hair and a tanned complexion. Jason Tamir Walker.
Even with a slightly attractive woman, Mineta and Kosei don't feel the need to comment. "Can't really tell how hot the lady may be with that suit on." Kosei says while Mineta agrees with him. And they are both rewarded with chops to the head.
"Alright Dami. We followed these guys all this way. Lets stop them!" Jason says before both slam their hands together. Gipsy meanwhile mirror this action and a few of the kaiju turn toward them.
"MANLY AGAIN!" the hardheads shout. While Nezu, Izuku, Momo, and Monoma take note of something else. 'Did they say they followed them?' they each think in various ways.
The first kaiju that attempts to engage is Wrecker. It roars and stomps before going down on all fours to charge at the machine. Gipsy charges forward as well coming out of the ocean.
The whole audience is vibrating in their seats as the two titans start toward one another. Even Bakugo and Todoroki are excited and it is showing on their faces.
Right as the two are about to meet, Gipsy dodges to the side. Barely avoiding the horns of the kaiju. Right as it is going by, Gipsy grabs for one of the horns before reaching for the other. And with all the mechanized strength it can muster, Gipsy yanks Wrecker's head to the side and smashes it into the side of a building.
"HELL YES!" a few of the guys, and some of the girls shout as Gipsy gives one of the monsters attacking their home some hurt. With the heroes, just silent and subdued fist pump at seeing the first hit. Though Pony is thinking about her own horns and how they might be used against her in a fight someday.
Without letting go of the horns, Gipsy starts to lay into Wrecker's head with as strong of punches as possible. Before firing the jets in the legs to launch the mechanized knee into the mouth of the beast. The hit breaks Wrecker's jaw and teeth making it recoil.
A collective 'OOOOHHH' is said after seeing the knee to the mouth. "Well he's not gonna be eating solid food again!" Jiro says. For the two hard heads, they are both trying to mirror the movements they see from the giant robot.
It then shoves to the side before escaping Gipsy's grasp. Wrecker then backhand punches the machines stomach, and the follows up with another hit. It then gets under Gipsy with its horns and throw it over and behind itself. Gipsy crashes through the docks before slowing itself. Just about stepping into the breakwater.
The audience's collective breath is held and are hoping the damage isn't bad. But they have to chuckle at the seagulls just casually sitting on the breakwater. Not bothered by the giant robot behind them.
The machine shakes its head, as do the pilots inside. "I don't think we can keep doing this Jason. We don't have a choice." Damini says as they get up. Jason just sighs before agreeing. "We'll finish him on the next charge."
A few audience members squirm a bit in their seats with excitement. Even Eri is watching with some excitement and hope that the monsters will go away.
With that said, the two head toward a construction site to position themselves. Wrecker roars again before stomping and pawing the ground with its back feet. It charges forward again, and Gipsy stands ready. This time with something else planned.
"This is gonna be good!" Sato says while munching his popcorn.
Right as Wrecker gets close, a pair of energy blades jut out from Gipsy's arms. The first strike cleaves the beast's horns off, making it roar in shock. Gipsy then stabs the beast in the chest before cutting at its neck. As they feel it convulse a bit, the two pilots breathe a sigh of relief. Before pushing it off.
The audiences' eyes are wide at what just happened. With Pony grabbing at her own horns almost defensively. Then a big, "Hell Yes!" or "You're Done!" is shouted from a few of the members. With an obligatory "manly!" shout from Tetsu and Kirishima.
With the creature on the ground, Damini takes this time to catch her breath and decouple. "What are you doing?" Jason asks worriedly. The woman just says, "you may be able to drift for long periods. But I need to rest. We've been at this for almost 12 hours!"
At hearing that, a few of the teachers are concerned about the two hero pilots' mental states. "They've got to be running on empty or just adrenaline after all of that." Aizawa says with a shake of his head. All Might though thinks about the scene from the night before, and his eyes widen. "Oh no."
Suddenly though, Wrecker's body lets out one last convulsion and strikes Gipsy in the chest. Knocking it into the building under construction.
"SHIT!" the collective audience says after seeing the mech get knocked down.
Inside the con pod, the pilots are knocked around. Damani gets it the worst. Jason shouts for her before having the AI decouple him as well. He checks on her and can tell she has a broken arm and leg. Let alone a probable concussion and broken ribs. "Damnit this is why I didn't want you to decouple!"
"Guess he's the more rational one. He was afraid something might happen and didn't want to be caught with their pants down." Aizawa says after seeing the injured pilot. The rest though wince at the thought of how many injuries Damini had. With Izuku tensing up the most.
With there still being two kaiju out there, Jason is tempted to solo drift if necessary. "I would strongly advise against that. I will scan for possible drift compatible people in the area." The AI Samudi says. It takes a few minutes, but he eventually finds a candidate. And gives Jason the location. Outlining Izuku Midoriya.
"Drift? So that's why he kidnapped him? Wonder what a solo could do?" the students ask while looking at the screen. Though the teachers are each worried and confused as to why Izuku was the only compatible match.
"What about some of the others nearby? Surely they are compatible." Jason asks while preparing to move Damini. Samudi simply reports that all others nearby have some sort of damage to their minds. "They are all useless for what we need. That boy is the only compatible person. In many ways he is the most important person to the survival of this world."
"Oh great. So, its all up to Deku aga…." Bakugo starts, until he gets a series of glares from All Might, Aizawa, Mina and Ochaco. As well as feeling extra terror from the principal's smile. For the rest though, they wonder why Izuku was the only compatible one. When they showed some other people nearby.
Jason just sighs before picking Damini up and heading out the back of Gipsy's head. He heads down and a few heroes are currently swarming. Backdraft and Death Arms are first with Mt Lady coming behind them. Jason signals Backdraft to take Damini to hospital before saying he needs to find someone. "Not so fast pal. You need to answer some questions" Death Arms says before putting a hand on his shoulder.
"Not really the right action right now." Nezu says while contemplating what it is about Izuku that made him special for this drift the AI mentioned.
Jason just rolls his eyes before saying, "I don't have time for this!" He then grabs Death Arm's hand before twisting it. He then stomps on his knee, and then grabs the mans face. And the headbutts the man as hard as possible in the nose. Breaking it. He then follows up with another hit to the face. This time from Jason's knee. Before breaking both of Death Arms arms. And smashing his face into the concrete.
"Holy shit! He beat him down like it was nothing! Guess he doesn't need a robot to be a badass! Wonder what his quirk is?" a few of the students say after seeing the hero beat down like he was. Though Nezu and Izuku start to think more about that last question.
Mt Lady then uses her quirk to try and restrain Jason. But he dodges the hand before running up her arm to her face. Once there he grabs her eyelid and double kicks her in the eye. Making her jolt and end up punching herself in the face. She starts to shrink down, and when she's at about half her max height, Jason breaks her arm and a leg. "Keep you useless idiots out of my way."
Jaws collectively dropped at seeing the giant heroine beat down and dodged like it was nothing. As well as being called useless. "Wonder why he called them useless?" Shoji asks while scratching his head. Nezu's eyes widen as he thinks about a few other scenarios.
He then runs off to find Izuku. Who was running with his mother away from the stomping and trying to find a shelter. Suddenly, Jason appeared before them. "Wait please! I need your help. Or rather I need the kid's help." Jason said with a panicked tone. Inko put herself between the man and her son before asking what he wanted.
Aizawa and All Might nod and approve of Inko's action in the situation. "Considering she doesn't know what's going on, she's being quite brave to put herself in between the man and her son." Aizawa analyzes.
Jason said he needed Izuku's help to save everyone, but Inko didn't believe him. While Izuku was just wondering what the man could mean by him saving everyone. Jason just let out a sigh before pulling a gun from the holster behind his back. "I'm sorry. But I can't just ask. If he doesn't help me, this world is doomed."
"And we've come back to the teaser from last night." Kamakiri says with a raised eyebrow. Izuku though feels like he wants to jump in a stop the man. Same with Bakugo.
While Inko is panicking about a gun being pointed at her, she freezes long enough for Jason to run in a knock Izuku out. "I'll take him to the hospital later, but right now I have to try and save everyone!" Jason says before running back toward Gipsy.
"Huh. It seems this man is a bit like the problem child. Just as reckless and focused on saving people." Aizawa says with a look to Izuku. Who just rubs the back of his head while the others agree with the teacher.
When he gets there, the police and a few more heroes are swarming. And when they see the man, they attempt to engage. Until they see he has a hostage. "Just move out of the way for now. If you want to live, then you need to let me through." Jason says before walking through the barricade. With his gun pointed at Izuku.
Ochaco grabs Izuku's hand in the moment. Izuku blushes a bit, as does Ochaco. But they both move past it with a blush before focusing on the screen. Mina though, is tempted to up the teasing. But she is also worried about what could happen next.
A few heroes want to engage and are tempted to inside the construction site. Though two of them end up shot because as Jason says, "you guys really are stupid and useless. I could tell what you were going to do that from the start." He then shoots the two heroes in the legs to keep them from following him and loads up into Gipsy Breaker.
"Man, that guy is good. It's like he has eyes in the back of his head." Sen says before taking a drink of soda. Monoma speaks up and notes that, "if he's been fighting those things, then I guess he's used to danger. Beyond what most heroes deal with."
Inside, he uses some smelling salts to wake up the boy. "Sorry about the rough intro kid but we need to get moving. Samudi. We'll have to rush through a few things." "Agreed. There is little time." Samudi says before bringing down a new set of apparatuses for the pilots.
A few members of the Dekusquad gulp at seeing the equipment drop down. And they wonder what Izuku is going to have to deal with this time. For said boy though, he starts thinking more about the fact they need two pilots. And questioning what he had that the others didn't.
Jason hands Izuku a suit in roughly his size and tells the boy to change. While Izuku is freaking out about all of this, he knows he has to comply for now. 'At least until the heroes can break me out of here.' Izuku thinks while changing. Jason has his back turned for the boy's comfort but does warn him not to try and run.
"Well at least he's willing to compromise. And it's not like he's wrong about the urgency." All Might says trying to defend the strange pilot.
When Izuku is suited up, he asks what happens next. "Now….. well this will probably feel weird kid, but it'll make sense soon." Jason quips with a smirk. He settles into the apparatus, and gestures for Izuku to do the same. The boy complies and Samudi locks the two into position. "Pilot to pilot interface commencing. Preparing for neural handshake." Samudi says.
At hearing the word neural, a few people's eyes widen in shock. And Nezu put together the reason that Izuku was the only one who could pilot the machine.
Jason quickly warns Izuku not to chase the rabit. "Random access brain impulse triggers. Don't get caught up in what you are about to see. Focus on the here and now!" Jason says before the neural handshake engages.
"That's a weird acronym." Itsuka says while scratching her chin. While a few others are worried about what Izuku was going to see. Namely Todoroki, Ochaco, and Izuku himself. "So that's it." Nezu says before nodding.
Suddenly Izuku's mind is filled with images. Of scores of kaiju invading another earth. Of this man living in Australia, before it was lost. Surviving while fighting not just smaller kaiju, but even his fellow man. And the man eventually making his way out and finding his way into the organization that make these machine. The jaegers and rangers of the Pan Pacific Defense Corps.
At seeing what Jason had been through (even just flashes) all of the audience felt for him. "He's been fighting for his life so long…. And now he has to fight for a world that isn't his." Momo says with a hand over her mouth.
Bakugo and a few of the more fight minded members though were impressed by the man's tenacity and will. "He's been through Hell and back a dozen times over. And he keeps getting up and fighting again." Ojiro says with admiration. All Might thinks much the same and compares the man to himself and his own drive.
While Jason's mind is filled with the pain Izuku has had to deal with at being a genetic outcast. All because of something as useless and pointless as a quirk. At least to his eyes. "No wonder these idiots were of no help. You're the only one still human. Kid, focus on the moment." Izuku hears the man and has to work to get in sync.
"What did he mean by that?" Yui asks with a puzzled look on her face. Nezu speaks up and tells the students, "The only reason young Midoriya could operate the machine, the jaeger…. Is because he doesn't have a quirk." At hearing that, everyone is shocked. Izuku most of all.
It takes a minute, but Izuku manages to quiet his mind. He pants a bit before telling the older ranger he was fine. Jason nods before telling Samudi to start up the muscle strands. Outside, Gipsy starts to move again. With the techs in the building who were trying to crack the jaeger running away as it started to move.
Kaminari laughs a bit before saying, "yeah it's probably best if you stayed away from the badass giant robot." With a few others chuckling at his joke.
"All right Izuku. This is for real. You know what's at stake." Jason says before the two roll their shoulders, with Gipsy mirroring the action. Izuku nods before breathing deep. And the two head out to search for the other kaiju.
A few of the guys start vibrating in their seats again at the thought of seeing Gipsy Breaker going to town on the rest of the kaiju. A few of the girls felt the same, with one being in two camps. 'I hope that other Deku is going to be okay.' Ochaco thinks to herself, while also looking forward to seeing him kick some kaiju ass.
While the heroes are mostly useless in stopping the monsters, some of them manage to distract the kaiju long enough for Gipsy to catch up. Namely Best Jeanist. With his industrial fiber cables, he was able to slow Guuma for a minute. While others worked to try and stop Dynatas. To less success. Unless you count being eaten and crushed by the beast as slowing it.
At seeing the fates of some of the heroes, the students and teacher grimace. "If this is just the start…. Then its probably gonna be like that universe where Midoriya summoned those hot ship ladies." Mineta says with a scratch of his head.
Itsuka then agrees with him. Saying, "I think you're right Mineta. If these things are going to be back, then they'll need more of those machines. And if heroes, or anyone with a quirk can't help…. Then our fates will be up to the quirkless. They're the only ones who could save the world." At hearing the class rep of 1-B say that most look down and wonder what real purpose their quirks were for. And what they could even hope to do.
Gipsy then arrives, and the two kaiju take notice it. Finally turning from their march toward Mt. Fuji. Dynatas goes in first with a roar and swiping at Gipsy with its claws. Jason tells Izuku to follow his lead before they start to dodge the creatures strikes. After the third swipe, the throw a hard right into the joint of the monster's leg. "Elbow rocket!" Jason calls out, and the two use a rocket propelled left uppercut to the creature's jaw.
"HELL YEAH! Kick his ass Gipsy!" the two hardheads, along with Bakugo and Kamakiri shout after the uppercut. Izuku meanwhile is thinking about trying to copy these moves for his own fighting style.
Guuma has twisted off the bindings Jeanist had put on it and tries to strike at Gipsy. But Jason's instincts are too good, and the pair catch the beast's mouth and swing it around. Using it's body to strike Dynatas a few times.
A few members laugh at the kaiju being used against one another. With All Might and Nezu getting a big laugh themselves. Aizawa just smiled under his scarf.
But then Dynatas, ducks under and gets a hit in on the mid-section of Gipsy. Loosening up the grip on Guuma. And the weasel like kaiju then tries to wrap itself around the jaeger. And Dynatas attacks a few more times. Attempting to cut off a limb.
"Oh no! Midori! Hang in there! Don't quit!" a few members of the audience shout. With Eri shouting as well. "Go Deku! Stop the monsters!" she said while standing on Mirio's lap. A few the awed at how cute the action was before turning back to the fight.
The ranger and ranger in training recover though and Jason manages to catch both the head of Guuma and one of Dynatas's claws. "Use the coolant on Guuma! Right side. I'll focus on holding it in place!" Jason shouts. Izuku then pushes a few commands, and the reactor coolant is vented. Freezing Guuma's upper body. Then with what could be akin to a flex, Gipsy snaps the upper half of the kaiju off.
"MECHA MANLY!" the hardheads shout at seeing Gipsy break apart Guuma after it was frozen. Though a few others were concerned about the statement of coolant. "What kind of reactor do they have that they need coolant like that?" Momo questions. And a few of the more intellectual student mirror her thought.
The then turn their attention to Dynatas. But the insect like kaiju still has an extra set of arms. Izuku then says he has an idea, which Jason can see too. The two then come forward and bear hug the creature. Before venting the reactor core and blasting the center of the beast with the nuclear energy. They then draw the blades and cut off the arms. And then the beast falls.
At hearing it was a nuclear reactor, a few eyes widen. Though Nezu isn't surprised. "I surmised that it may be that type of generator. With as powerful as these things need to be…. You'd need a very strong and reliable fuel source. Which nuclear power is."
"Pretty sure it's dead. But we should check for a pulse." Jason says. Izuku agrees and sees what the man has in mind.
"How the heck to you check for a pulse on a giant freaking monster?" Bakugo asks with a shake of his head.
The left hand then turns into a plasma coil, and they shoot into the monster six times. When it burst and flames up a bit, Jason quips, "yeah no pulse." Izuku smiles and they head back toward the construction site so they can unload.
A few of the audience laugh and then Kaminari quips, "apparently that's how." Getting even more laughs.
Once there, and desynced from one another, Izuku falls down with Jason catching him. "Easy kid. C'mon. Lets get you out of here." Jason says before opening the back. With police swarming the opening.
"Well that's not entirely surprising. But at least he's more concerned about young Midoriya and making sure he's okay." All Might says. Though a few of the students say that they shouldn't be arresting Jason. "He just saved everyone! This isn't right!" Mina says with a few others agreeing with her.
He asks them to wait a minute before handing Izuku off to some emergency personnel. He then puts his hands up with a roll of his eyes as the arrest him. They take him to a building for the Public Heroes Safety Commission.
Aizawa nods with Nezu mentioning, "at least they are willing to hear him out. Given this situation, our other selves need more answers."
There the current president starts to ask a few questions. Jason first asks if Damini is alright and tells them he'll only talk with a few of the military and government heads. "That and I'll need the earpiece you took from me. It has information on it to tell you what is going on." The commissioner is annoyed, but at least agrees to this.
At hearing that, the audience settle in again for what they assume is going to be a very long story.
When all the people have gathered, including All Might being in attendance, Jason can begin his tale. About the monsters that had started to invade their world. How for ten years rangers had fought, and some died trying to stop the creatures from the invasion and destruction. How the pair of Raleigh Beckett and Mako Mori had managed to give them a respite and win the first war. Then the Uprising attacks and the reopening of the breaches. And then loosing Australia to the kaiju. And then Jason's story of joining up with the PPDC, working with Damini, and the two being part of a major operation Pentecost set up to invade and stop the precursors factories and invasions.
Upon first seeing what the people of Jason's world had gone through, eyes were widened, and jaws were dropped. With more noting that everyone appeared to be normal humans. No quirks.
With the victory of the first war, they all felt some excitement and relief that the invasions could be stopped. But then felt despair at the Uprising. And then pity for Jason, as he was trapped in Australia for three years after it had been abandoned. And having to fight for his life more times than they can count.
And then the mission the try and shut down the Precursors for good. And what had brought them to their world in the first place.
"We had been fighting for a long time, with 20 jaegers being a part of the mission. By what we though was the end of the fight, only 8 of us were still standing." Jason reported. The commissioner, hero, military heads, and government leaders were all shocked and stunned by what they had heard.
"Accurate reaction." Juzo said while shaking his head at the shear insanity that one man described and had gone through. With a few nodding and wondering if Jason was really sane or not.
"But then a series of portals started to open. The Precursors were opening ways to other worlds. And trying to launch kaiju into them. 10 portals opened, but we managed to stop most and some of the kaiju were destroyed upon portals closing. But an 11th one opened up toward your world. The rest of the jaegers had to retreat, and we had set more charges. But Damini and I saw that those three were sent your way. So we put everything into making sure we could stop the kaiju and save another world. And that's how we ended up here." Jason finishes his story before leaning back.
"The two of them were willing to leave their homes behind. All to save us and our world. One they have no obligations to." All Might says with admiration for both of the rangers. The students likewise think about it and realize he was right. And looked at the two as true heroes.
All Might then goes over and removes the handcuffs on Jason. "There's definitely no reason for those. You are a true hero, and one who is here to protect us." All Might says before saluting Jason. The ranger nods and asks if the others have questions. "Why did you kidnap the boy?" the general of the JSDF asks.
Nezu nods before thinking this will answer the questions the rest had. With the students on the edge of their seats. Some were hoping Nezu was wrong for the first time, and that their quirks weren't the reason they were all but doomed. Others were curious about this drift and what else it implied.
Jason uses the AI embedded in his earpiece to show the scan results that Samudi had compiled. "To properly operate a jaeger, you need two pilots to share the neural load. And all of the people nearby were completely worthless. None of them had the capability to handle the drift without the possibility of their brains turning into oatmeal."
"Okay that was an image I didn't need." Mina says while shivering. A few of the others agree and are concerned for not just Izuku. But also for the other pilots that may have experienced that same feeling before.
When asked why that was, Samudi put forth its own opinion. "From what we gathered from Izuku's drift with Jason, I believe it may have to do with those useless mutations of yours. I believe they are destroying your minds." This shocks everyone and then Samudi shows more of the results.
At hearing the AI call their quirks useless mutations, quite a few of the students felt a bit of hurt from the statement. Some looked down in sadness, while others thought about their appearances and what it had done to them. Nezu meanwhile is not surprised, but also not happy he was right again.
From what was shown, every person with a quirk had about one third or less neurons in their brains compared to Izuku, Jason and Damini. "Meaning if you wanted to drift, it would take at minimum six to eight people with quirks to do what a more human person can." Samudi finishes his report. At hearing this, all of the people witnessing are shocked. And then terrified when Jason reports that the fight may still be coming for them.
"I really don't like how he called them more human." Pony says while pouting. Reiko looks to her and says, "what would you call it?" At hearing that the rest look down again because they can't say anything for certain.
"This is just the beginning. We may not have eliminated all of them in our attack. At best, we might have slowed their invasion. And they will be coming for this and other worlds again." Jason says. Samudi then creates copies of the ways to create jaegers, and Jason says they need to start building. Because a new Kaiju War had begun on their earth.
With a sigh, Bakugo sits back and says, "well that's a terrifying place to leave off." "Gotta agree with you man. And in that world, the fate of everything is in the hands of people…. Well lets be honest. We've all looked down on. Even if not as bad as you have." Kaminari says with a grim look on his face. When he says that the rest look to each other before quietly agreeing with the electrification user.
Izuku meanwhile just is shocked that his quirklessness was the key to saving the entire world. 'Maybe that is part of why All Might changed his mind. My powerlessness led me to think of others more. Just like he did. But most everyone with a quirk, doesn't see the world the same way.' His and everyone else's thoughts are brought to a halt though as the screen lights up again.
The screen then shows the Tuscan countryside. And then cuts to Izio and his family walking through the hills. As night begins to fall, in front of them is none other than Katsuki de Pazzi. "Guess we are getting back to that universe after all." Mina says trying to bring up the mood after the frightening world that they had been introduced to. A few others nod, while Nezu contemplates a few matters that were discussed in the last universe.
With the rest getting refills on refreshments, they could settle in for the next set of adventures with Izio Auditore.
Holy shitting Hell this was a long one. But I felt I couldn't write a story about giant robots without including a bit more of the fights themselves. Also if the bit about quirks seems strange, it isn't that surprising if you've been following the manga. And what we've learned bout quirks in general. And how warping to the minds they are.
