Chapter 12
So back to the Ezio or Izio story now. I'll be focusing on the first couple of battles and kills with this one. And we'll have a rather fun person to link to the Auditore Villa. On with the show.

After a rather tense previous movie, as well as remembering what had happened to Izio in the previous pair of chapters, a lot of the audience was worried about what could happen next. "I'm kinda worried for Izio. After what we left off on…." Mineta started, but a few others tried to shush him. "Oh what happened?" Mirio asked while walking back into the living room.
A few of the previous viewers looked to each other. Not sure on what to say. Aizawa then came over and took the Big 3 aside. After he told them, each had sad and worried looks on their faces. With Mirio thinking that Eri probably shouldn't see much of that universe.
"I agree. I don't need to watch too much of this one so I'll take Eri for a little while." Aizawa said before going to take the girl to play outside. Though she wanted to see her other self, the allure of a candy apple that Aizawa promised her was enough to sway the little girl. "I'm glad she's not going to see this. I don't think she could take it well given Midoriya and Bakugo are on opposite sides this time." Tamaki said with an even more downtrodden look than normal. A few others nodded before the screen lit up.
The first thing shown is Izio, Eri and Inko walking down the dirt road in Tuscany toward Villa Auditore. Izio had just finished answering as many of Eri's questions as he could. Night had fallen and all were tired. "We should be close." Izio said with worry etched on his face. "Grazie Dio!" Eri said in relief.
"I hope they make it there okay. They've been through enough already." Kaminari says with concern. Mineta and Jiro though look at him before the former tells him, "you probably just jinxed them."
But right as they arrived, who would stand before them but Katsuki de Pazzi. "Buon giorno Izio! How could you leave Firenze without saying goodbye?" Katsuki says with a smug look on his face. Izio tries to cover his family, but Katsuki's men have them surrounded.
And once again, Kaminari has looks directed his way. Mainly of annoyance. The blonde teen just shrugs while looking sheepish.
"What do you want, Katsuki?" Izio demands with an irate look. Katsuki paces slightly before saying, "so many things. A larger palazzo, two new steeds, a prettier bride…. Oh and yes. Your life!" Upon saying that, Katsuki draw's his weapon. Though he does not attack. Just taunt from the sides while his men attack.
Ida grits his teeth, saying, "Izio is outnumbered and ill armed. He can't fight all of them with just a wrist blade." Mirio nods and hopes his other self's family can get out of the trouble they are in.
Meanwhile a few others are giving their version of Katsuki a look of contempt. Even if they aren't the exact same, they can see quite a few similarities in personality between the two. Ones that their Bakugo is trying to deny.
Izio meanwhile defends his mother and sister as best he can. Countering with his fists and hidden blade, while ignoring Katsuki's taunts. Including those directed at his mother and sister.
While watching and listening, Katsuki is both disgusted by his other self. And terrified by the glares and other looks coming from the others in the audience. Even Mineta looks like he want to stick Katsuki de Pazzi down to the ground before shoving a hot rod up his ass. Not that Katsuki blames him. "Okay I'm just gonna say this, but I don't like any of the ways that prick is handling things. If I'm gonna kill someone I'll do it myself!" Katsuki tries to defend himself. And deflect any wanted retribution.
After Izio has dispatched a few of the men, Katsuki says, "I grow tired of this game. Finish him! And do not spare the women!" But suddenly, the charging men are cut down by a volley of arrows. When Katsuki claims that sorcery at work another voice calls out. "Ha ha ha! Not sorcery boy! Skill!"
"Wait that laugh." Mirio says with wide eyes. The rest of the audience is happy, thinking that the threat was defeated for the time being. With Izuku himself breathing a deep sigh of relief.
"Show yourself!" Katsuki demands, and the voice acquiesce the request. By knocking his blade away. Suddenly an older man with long green hair appears and tosses Izio a sword. He and his men help to fight off and defend the Auditore family. While Katsuki runs away.
"See, I wouldn't do that! I'm not one for running away." Bakugo defends with. Kirishiman, Izuku and a few others agree with him. "But you can't really deny a bunch of other similarities. Especially the weird obsession with Izio or Izuku." Tsuyu said with a tilt of her head. This gets even more heads nodding, even the teachers.
Once the battle is done, Izio offers back the blade to the man. "You have my thanks." "Keep the sword Izio." The man says with a slight smile. Though Izio is confused on how this man knows him. "Don't you recognize me? It's a me! Mirai!" Then a better shot of the man's face is seen. His eyes are yellow, but he does have a similar shade of green to his hair as Mirai. And while scarred over one eye, the man still has a big smile on his face.
Mirio's eyes light up and he says, "its Sir! So he was my uncle in this other world." Mirio just smiles a bit fondly, thinking back on the teachings and training that Sir Nighteye had passed to him. Izuku is much the same and is happy his other self still has that good man to stand with him.
"Uncle Mirai!?" Izio says with surprise. But also, happiness at seeing his uncle after so long. Mirai bring Izio into a hug before telling Izio he heard about what happened in Firenze to his brother and other nephews. "Terrible. Come. Let's get you all away from here." Mirai says before escorting Izio, Eri, and Inko to the villa.
Once they reach the town and villa, Izio retells everything he can to Mirai. Though Izio has no answers as to why, he has a list of names taken from Uberto. "I still can't believe they are gone." Izio says while looking down. Mirai just tells him they will make sense of it all. Though slightly comforted, Izio can't share in his uncle's optimism.
Tokoyami and Shihai both comment, "a heart heavy with loss has trouble seeing the light and hope." A few others have raised eyebrows at the comments, but they can't disagree. While Ibara meanwhile says a quick prayer for the other versions of Izuku's family.
"Come on, keep pace! We're almost there. I think you will find much to like in Monteriggioni." Mirai says while leading his relatives up to the villa proper. Though Izio is confused. "I thought Monteriggioni was an enemy of Firenze?" "For now. Next year it will be its friend. The year after its enemy again. And on and on. I cannot keep track, so I stopped trying." Mirai says with a roll of his eyes.
Momo and Ida both nod. Before the former says, "that is about normal for medieval European politics." The latter then says, "or even Sengoku here. He fairly well describes any region in war and medieval-esque settings." All Might and Mirio though are just chuckling at this other version of Nighteye. 'He'd normally be one for keeping detailed records of what happened and for what reason. Guess this one just got tired of it after a while.' All Might thinks to himself.
Mirai talks up the shopkeeps and items sold in the town as well as the church and father while walking through. And then giving some history on the family villa. And how it was 200 years old. While also hinting at a few secrets that the villa may have left scattered about the grounds.
Though the building looks a bit rough. Mirai sighs before saying, "with all the fighting going on, this place is looking a bit rough around the edges. I wish I could do something about it, but I just don't have the time or money to fix things up. Guess that's life, eh?"
After a quick home sweet home from Mirai, Izio complements the impressive size and scope of their family's old home. Mirai then says to Izio, "now that you've had the tour nipote, you should go outfit yourself. My men in the market are expecting you. And then we will begin."
"Oooohhh! I sense a training montage again!" Kirishima says while vibrating in his chair. Though the rest look at him like he's way too excited. At least until they see Tetsutetsu doing the same. Even Mirio looks interested in what training Izio will be undergoing.
Upon hearing that, Izio is confused. Especially once Mirai mentions him being there for training. And the young man was even more confused by his uncle saying his father would want him to finish his work. "What work? My father was a banker."
"Um what kind of banker has old papers detailing how to make tools for killing?" Juzo says while scratching his head. Most of the audience agrees, while Nezu is putting together a few details from the earlier videos. Izuku meanwhile wonders himself, though he has a suspicion about the matters involved.
"Wait he did not tell you?" Mirai asked with visible confusion etched on his face. When Izio tells him he has no idea, Mirai just cusses out his late brother. "Ma che mi combini, Hizashi!? Where to even… Go and fetch the gear in the market. It will give me time to think." He then loans Izio a bit of money and tells him where his personal room is in the villa. Izio then goes to get the gear, though he too is confused.
He does check in with his mother and sister quick though. "Don't worry. We'll only be staying here for a little while." Eri though is still a bit distressed, and tells her brother, "I don't like it here. I want to go home." Izio just looks down sadly before agreeing with his sister.
Mirio, Izuku and a few others look down sadly at hearing Eri say that. With Nejire, Ochaco, and Tsuyu wishing they could hug both versions of Eri.
When the other two have left, Izio meets with his uncle in his study. When Mirai tells Izio he'll be training him, the young man refuses at first. But his uncle is firm. Saying, "Izio you barely held your own against Katsuki. You won't survive a week on the road. If you want to leave, so be it. But at least do so armed with the skills and knowledge to defend yourself. If not for me, then for you mother and sister."
Kirishima and Tetsutetsu just start vibrating again while the others hope that Izio will take up the offer. "Eri and auntie Inko don't need to lose anyone else." Bakugo says while looking down at his hands.
Izio isn't sure, but he goes along to better protect what remains of his family. For the next four months, he spars and trains with the mercenaries and guards of Monteriggioni. All the while listening to his uncle's stories about his father. And his profession, as an Assassin. And the list he got from Uberto was of those who were responsible for his father and brothers' murder.
While Izio rejects this at first. And when Mirai tells of the Templars, the ancient enemy of the Assassins, he can only see it as fantasy or myth. "Like something from an old parchment covered in arcane writing, perhaps?" Mirai says with a small smile. Izio is again confused and gets knocked on his butt for his distraction.
When questioned about this, Mirai points out that Izio had his father's hidden blade. "I figured you had the Codex page he was holding onto as well." He then goes on to tell how the parchment is from the Codex. A guide to their order and creed as Assassins.
During his time, Izio had taken to reading through his uncle's library. And can no longer deny the truth. Though he is confused as to the secrecy of this war between the two factions. "The Templars seek dominion over man. To control their thoughts and actions. And we Assassins, are sworn to stand against them." Mirai explains in between a training session.
While the hard heads were excited for the montage, the rest are intrigued by the story hidden behind the other story. "So the Assassins….. they protect people's freedoms and ideals. While the Templars want to control people in various ways." All Might says with his hand under his chin.
Nezu hums a bit before saying, "I'm not so sure it is wholly that black and white. Though in this case they could be looking to protect people from the Templars needlessly sacrificing people. While ones like the liberation army might sound similar, I get the feeling they would most likely be allies with the Templars." When questioned why he believed this, Nezu points out how they only want to free the use of quirks. And make it to where everyone can use their powers openly. "But where does that leave those with weaker powers or none at all. It might be that they would gladly accept the mentality that young Bakugo had when it came to power." Nezu said with a pointed look at the boy. Who just ducked his head in a bit of shame.
With the main training done, Mirai congratulates his nephew. "Well done nipote! You've really come into your own." "Thank you, uncle, for all you have given me." Izio says with a small smile on his face. Though Mirai passes this off as just being duty and desire in to keep his family safe.
But when Mirai is hoping that Izio will be staying, his is displeased to learn that Izio still plans to leave for Spain. "You want to leave, Ezio? To throw away everything your father fought and died for? To deny your heritage? Fine! Come vuoi. Arrivederci e buona fortuna." Mirai says in a huff as he walks away.
"I think Sir needs you help Izio. And if you walk away, then who could help him?" Mirio says with concern for both of his other world relatives.
Izio is confused and asks one of the mercenaries why he is upset. "How can he not be? Katsuki's been harassing us ever since you arrived. It's to be expected, I suppose. Given his heritage." When Izio goes to apologize, there is no one left in the villa. Outside of his mother and sister.
He checks with another mercenary inside, who tells Izio that they were riding for San Gimignano. To kill Katsuki. Izio tightens his fist before saying, "I wish to join them." The mercenary nods before directing Izio to the stables.
A few others smile slightly. Remembering how their own Izuku would go out of his way to help others when he could. Todoroki and Ida especially look to their friend with a smile. Izuku meanwhile isn't really surprised at his other self going to help. 'It's what I'd do. Though I'm not sure about the murder part.' Izuku thinks to himself.
Before he leaves, he checks in on his mother. Though she is still barely responsive. With Eri mentioning, "she spends all day and night in front of those feathers Kouta used to collect. She can't let them go. I don't know what to do." Izio looks at his mother who does a quick sign of the cross and starts to pray. He just sighs before reassuring Eri that Inko will come back to them someday.
Upon seeing what Inko was doing, Ibara also knelt down and started a prayer of her own. While the rest may not be express believers of any kind, they also bow their heads in a bit of prayer for the ones lost due to the machinations of others. With Katsuki feeling secondhand guilt at his other self's involvement.
When Izio arrives at Mirai's camp, he tells his uncle he is there to help because it was him Katsuki was after. Mirai just chuckles before saying, "Katsuki troubles us because he is a Templar, and we are Assassins." "Either way. I wish to help." Izio says with his resolve firm.
Upon hearing that, Mirio nods with a big smile. And then pats Izuku on the shoulder in proud solidarity. While all of class 1-A isn't surprised by his actions and smile at his willingness to jump into the fray.
Mirai tells Izio the plan to attack the southern gate, given it's weaker defenses compared to the others. When night falls, Izio follows Mirai and his men to the gate. Mirai then gives Izio some throwing knives to kill the archers. Allowing the young man, a path to open the gate.
Most of the audience gulp at the idea that their fellow hero student would be so willing to kill others. Though some of the more cultured or read, do note that the laws and ideas of right and wrong are much different from one age to the next. With Izio being focused on making sure his family would be safe.
Izio makes quick work of the guards and opens the way. While inside, Mirai has some new instructions for Izio. "I want you to distract those guards and keep them from raising an alarm. Hopefully, it will buy me enough time to silence Katsuki." Izio nods before listening in on the guards' conversation. With the young man chuckling a bit at Katsuki shooting off his mouth at people. And angering the wrong ones.
"Yeah that seems about right." Mineta, Kaminari, Kirishima, Ochaco, Todoroki and Ida say with a flat look. While Bakugo wants to refute that, he knows that his other self probably did just that. Like why he's stuck out of the hero course now.
Izio gets close and surprises one man, while ordering his men to attack a group of guards. He and his men meet up at a rendezvous point, but Mirai isn't there. One of the injured men points to where his uncle is, and Izio is off. When he catches up, Mirai mentions that they were ambushed. He then tells Izio to go find Katsuki. "See that justice is served." Mirai commands, and Izio nods before heading off.
"I'm not sure it is justice by our standards. But as I said, it is probably more fitting in that past sense. Especially given the actions involved." Ida says with a slightly heavy heart at the idea of one of his classmates killing another.
Izio sneaks around on the rooftops, before he sees Katsuki, Francesco, Masaru and a hooded man come in from one of the gates. "It's settled. Katsuki, you will remain here the coordinate the mercenari. Francesco will organize our forces in the city and send word when it is time to strike. Masaru, your job will be to calm the citizens when it is done," the hooded man explains.
Though Katsuki is concerned about Mirai and his forces. Warning that he could discover their intentions. With Francesco saying, "he's always been trouble. Like that bastardo brother of his." Hearing that makes Izio seethe.
Upon hearing the other man say that Izuku and Mirio both stand up in anger. And even Bakugo is scared of the glares the two are giving out. And also, glad they aren't directed his way. Though he is confused by why Masaru isn't his father in this video.
Katsuki then asks to reunite the two, but the hooded man tells that will have time for that later. He then says, "muy bien. May the father of understanding guide us." With his followers repeating the same line. As the older men leave, Katsuki gets word about Mirai's attack on the city. He then happily orders his men to engage the older man in battle.
Katsuki is atop a rampart overlooking the battle, so Izio climbs his way up and engages the young man and his guards. It takes no time before the guards are dealt with. Katsuki is a bit more difficult, but Izio decides to finish the battle with a bit of flair. He sheathes his sword, and taunts Katsuki to attack. The angry young man rushes in with a wild swing from the right with his sword. But Izio deflects the attack with his bracer, gets in close and stabs Katsuki in the throat.
Upon seeing what happened to his other self, Bakugo gulps before grabbing at his neck. "Huh. That seems about like what happened during our first training exercise. He took advantage of your big right hook and made you pay for it." Ochaco says with some mirth. Bakugo feels the urge to shout at her, but he stops because he noted something. "You're right. He read me easily. And he'll probably do it again."
The rest of the audience is a bit unsettled to see the death of their classmate and student. Even if it is in another world.
Before Katsuki passes fully, he questions Katsuki on what his allies were planning. And if it had to do with why his father and brothers were killed. With one last bit of defiance, Katsuki smiles before saying, "I'm sorry, were you hoping for a confession?" He then passes.
"Defiant to the end eh?" Kirishima says with a slight smile. Bakugo chuckles a bit and agrees with his friend.
"Pezzo di merda! Vorrei solo che avessi sofferto di più! Hai avuto la fine che meritavi! Spero che bru– (Piece of shit! I only wish you'd suffered more! You met the fate you deserved! I hope yo–)" Izio starts cussing out the dead young man before him. But then Mirai arrives and tells Izio, "Enough Izio! Show some respect."
Mirio nods before saying, "well said Sir. Taking out his anger at the dead won't change anything. It won't bring me or any of the rest back." Nejire then goes over and hugs Mirio tight while Tamaki places a hand on his friend's shoulder.
Izuku meanwhile wonders if he has some pent up resentment of their version of Bakugo as well. He doesn't think long before admitting to himself that he does. 'But I can't let it control me. Letting it drag me down won't change what has happened. And I need to grow above it.'
Izio just stands angrily and says, "Respect?! After all that has happened?! Do you think he would have shown either of us that kindness?" "You are not Katsuki. Do not become him." Mirai says with a firm tone. He then kneels next to the young man and closes his eyes. And then says a blessing in Italian. "Requiescat in Pace."
Ibara repeats the blessing Mirai gave in very accurate Latin. "I didn't know you spoke Italian." Itsuka says with a raised eyebrow. "Latin mainly. It is common in many old prayers and blessings. It felt right to learn it as a whole." Ibara says before making another sign of the cross.
With the battle done and the initial threat dealt with, the Assassins leave San Gimignano in victory. While the men are celebrating, Izio and Mirai discuss a few matters. Such as a Spaniard who was giving them orders. With the last name of Shigaraki.
Upon hearing that last name, every one of the audiences' eyes bug out. Especially All Might, Nezu, and Izuku. Within OFA, Izuku hears a pair of sad sighs from it. This makes him confused, but he can somewhat understand it.
Izio then vows to make all of the people on the list fall to his blade. And end their threat. With Firenze being first on the list. And thus the screen cuts to black.
"Guess the next video will be about Izio stopping whatever Bakugo's family is planning." Kosei says with a scratch of his chin. Monoma then chimes in to say, "hopefully 1-A won't be the only ones taking the spotlight." A few from 1-A snort a bit before chuckling to themselves.
When questioned on what they were laughing about, none of them knew how to answer. And the screen did for them. It suddenly lit up and showed what role Monoma played previously. Upon seeing this, all of 1-B's eyes were wide. Before looking at Monoma in disgust. Said teen was even disgusted by his other self, while also feeling intense and intimidating glares from a few. Namely Izuku, Mirio, Ochaco, Nejire and Tsuyu.
Once that is done, Nezu stands to use the bathroom. "I do hope we'll get some more about this interesting conspiracy. It is quite intriguing."
