Episode XXI (31): Eric and Ariel's Test

Once everyone was ashore and back to being human, they heard the sound of Eric's dog barking happily.

"It's Eric's dog Max," said Jeanette.

Max saw the heroes and began leaping around playfully. Eric showed up too and was trying to get him to settle down. He then noticed Ariel and the heroes. "Are you all okay?" He asked, concerned. "I'm sorry if he scared you kids. He's harmless."

"We're okay," Bianca told him.

Eric was glad to hear that. Then he looked at Ariel. "You... seem very familiar," he said quietly. "Have we met before?"

Ariel nodded eagerly.

Eric became excited. "I knew it! You're the one! The one I've been looking for! What's your name?"

Ariel tried to answer, only to forget that she couldn't.

Bianca stated, "Her name is Ariel."

Danyal answered, "Like the archangel of nature. Her job is healing and protecting animals. She punishes those who harm God's creation. The name itself is of Hebrew origin that translate to Lion of God."

"She can't speak right now because she lost her voice," Mana added. "We're all her friends."

Eric asked, "So you're her interpreters in a sense?"

Mana shrugged. "I guess you could say that."

"What are you all doing here anyway?" Eric asked, curious.

"We're looking for a girl named Samara," Natius immediately said. "Have you seen her?"

Eric thought hard. "Come to think of it, a girl did come to my castle a few days ago."

"That's got to be her!" Natius cried

Mana asked, "What did she look like?"

"She had dark hair and wore a blue dress," Eric answered. "She was also accompanied by two kittens. One was orange and another was black and white."

"Oliver and Figaro," Natius muttered.

Vandela asked, "Can you take us to her?"

So, Eric brought Ariel and the heroes to his castle. Ariel was taken to an area where she could wash up and dress in clothes. The heroes were brought to one of the guest rooms where Samara was staying.

Samara looked up and cried, "What are you guys doing here?"

"We should be asking you the same thing," Natius countered. "How did you get here?"

Samara explained her story. "I was watching a news report with my parents regarding six missing teenagers. My parents went to see yours, Natius, and they said I couldn't leave my house by myself. Then I saw this mysterious light at my front door. Curious, I went to check it out. But when I did, a voice told me it was time for me to awaken as a warrior of light and I had to go to the world of my ancestors. And then I found myself here. Rather, Eric found me and invited me to stay here as his guest."

Mana asked, "We're trying to find and punish a monster that possessed a history teacher. Do your parents know about him?"

Samara answered, "My older sister would complain about the multiple times he confiscated her music player."

Mahad stated, "That sounds like him. Especially when he wants his students to pay attention."

Anakin asked, "Killjoy much?"

Natius argued, "No. Students that break out music players annoy the crap out of him. Especially when they play very inappropriate music."

This meant that Samara's parents knew Mr. Virgil. Natius hadn't forgotten about him, but he thought that the best thing to do right now would be to help the warriors of this world awaken. And to do that, the heroes had to help Eric and Ariel get to know each other and love each other.

Samara then remembered. "Oh, we'd better hurry or we'll be late for dinner." So, everyone headed to the dining room.

At dinner, Eric offered to take Ariel and the heroes for a tour around the kingdom. Ariel eagerly accepted. For one reason, she would get to see how humans lived and if the surface world was like everything she dreamed of and more. Another reason would be for getting to spend time with Eric.

Mana smiled, "This is going to be sweet!"

The following day, Eric showed everyone around the kingdom. It truly was everything Ariel imagined and more. The streets, the buildings, the people, it was all so fun and interesting. She was enjoying every minute and Eric seemed to be having as much fun.

As fun as the day was, the heroes couldn't forget their purpose for being here. Time was running out. Ariel only had until sundown tomorrow to get Eric to fall in love with her and kiss her.

That evening, Ariel and Eric were in a rowboat enjoying a ride on the water.

Natius asked, "Why can't we come with them?"

Danyal answered, "That's interfering."

"We'll, we have to do something," Bianca whined. "With the way things are going right now, there's no way Eric will fall in love with her by tomorrow. And besides, letting the events play is like delaying our search for Mr. Virgil."

"I know how you feel, Bianca," Natius told her. "Believe me, that's how I've been feeling about this from the beginning. I don't know how much longer I can keep up being patient, but I know if I don't control my emotions, it'll only make things worse."

Sebastian replied, "Don't worry. I'll handle this."

Mana asked, "What?"

The crab had the idea of lightening the mood with a little music and singing. Even the pond animals helped out.

Instead of watching, Mahad looked at Natius, baffled. "What's with you all of a sudden? You've never stopped to think things through."

"I'm trying to be more disciplined," he said. "I'm trying to accept that there are things I must refrain from trying to change. I don't like it, but I have to accept that it's for the good of those destined to awaken as warriors of their elements."

Zander smirked, "Smart move."

"Still, we should do something," Bianca stated. "Ursula will go through elaborate measures to make sure Ariel fails."

Mana asked, "What can we do?"

"Let's just try to get some sleep," Jeanette suggested.

Zander nodded in agreement. "Besides, it really doesn't matter if Ariel succeeds or fails. Either way, we'll be dealing with Ursula."

That much was true. With that being settled, the heroes returned to their rooms to retire to bed.

Eric and Ariel had returned from their small outing on the pond. As Ariel was getting ready for bed, Eric was outside playing his flute. When he finished, he tossed it into the ocean. Suddenly, he heard a familiar voice singing and he saw a woman walking along the shoreline. A strange light suddenly made its way towards the prince, putting him in a trance.

Danyal could not sleep because something was troubling her mind.

Figaro noticed Danyal and he asked, "What's on your mind?"

Danyal answered, "I just hope that we awaken the warriors of this world and find out why Judge Doom would possess a history teacher in the first place."

"You need to rest," the kitten told her. "You're going to have a big fight ahead tomorrow."

Danyal began to go back to sleep, hoping to have a good dream as opposed to a nightmare.

Natius looked around finding himself in an alley of an alternate Los Angeles and this made him very uneasy. He didn't know if his father is alive there or not.

He asked himself, "Why am I here?"

Natius ran as he heard something shutting, and he noticed a strange woman shutting a trunk door putting away a frying pan.

Natius asked, "Are you lost ma'am?"

Natius felt someone was behind him and he took out his phone, before he began dialing; he felt someone forcing him to his knees and he began screaming as his phone fell and was three feet away from him as it played the bridge of a rendition of The Prayer in a low key!

The woman took out a rag that was damp with a sweet-smelling sedative. Natius turned to see if anyone would save him, but there was no one.

Natius noticed Zander turning away from him as if he was walking away from him not bothering to save him this time.

Natius cried pleading, "Zander hel-!"

Suddenly Natius felt a rag being pressed against his face as it covered his nose and mouth as if being forced to inhale a substance.

As Natius was blacking out, he heard a familiar voice yelling, "Natius!"

Natius awoke in a shock, and he looked around and he noticed Zander holding his music player as he changed the pitch to the original key.

Zander stated, "Did your parents ever tell you not to sleep with a music player under your pillow? The battery doesn't last for a long time, and it would draw some unwanted attention. In this case, it's anachronism."

Natius took back his music player. "I just thought listening to my music would help me sleep."

Natius began thinking about the nightmare of Zander leaving him to get kidnapped.

Natius tried to avoid the nightmare lingering in his mind, "Why are you here?"

Zander noticed Natius had a look of concern and fear and he asked, "What's bothering you?"

Natius answered, "I had a stupid nightmare for some reason. I thought Bianca put my name into her list of good dreams clients."

Bianca pointed out as she entered the room, "I need to point out that many cultures interpret dreams in different ways. Ancients believed that they were signs or warnings from a deity of what's to come. Those kinds of dreams are the kind that the booklet can't protect you from."

Natius tried to keep the nightmare from resurfacing.

"There's no point in trying to ignore it," she told him.

"Well, how am I supposed to get a decent night's sleep knowing we have a battle tomorrow?" Natius asked.

Zander stated, "Ignoring a dream will not help. What was it about?"

Natius asked, "Why should I tell you?"

"Because bottling your feelings up like this is only going to make it worse for you," Mahad told him.

Natius just grunted and pulled the sheets.

Natius knew Zander was right and he stated, "All right was about me getting kidnapped. I don't get why I would have this dream in the first place."

None of his friends understood what that was about either. Unfortunately, it wasn't to be discussed at this time. As Natius said, the heroes had a battle tomorrow night and they all needed their strength. They had to sleep no matter how hard that seemed.

Natius tried to go back to sleep, but he began to have the same nightmare again. However, he noticed his music player was playing an edited version of The Prayer by Celine Dion and Andrea Bocelli, he tried to pause it, but to no avail and he suddenly felt as if he was being forced on his knees. As the song was slowly reaching to the bridge, Natius noticed Zander again and he felt the strange woman from before behind him as she whispered telling him, this was for his own safety.

He cried, "Zander! Help! Please."

Mulan looked at her descendant and she stated, "You have disgraced the element of courage!"

Natius couldn't believe she was here. "Mulan?"

"You had more courage in the other worlds," she reprimanded. "Why do you give in to fear now?"

Natius cried, "I'm not giving into fear! The situation is beyond my comprehension."

Natius noticed Zander walking away from him as the red-haired toon woman took out a bottle that would covert liquid into vapor as evident from the breathing mask

Natius knew what this meant, and he screamed, "Zander help me!"

Mulan began to fade away, but not before telling him, "Your fear is tarnishing the element's power."

Natius felt the breathing mask being placed on his face and he began to hear voices telling him that he failed the element of courage as the concoction combining toon chloroform with poppy fog was beginning to give off a sweet scent that started flowing into his senses. The concoction was also making it difficult for Natius to stay awake as he felt himself blacking out.

Natius screamed as he jolted awake. He began taking deep breaths to try to calm himself. After finally relaxing, he saw he was still in the guest room, and it was now morning.

Natius noticed Scuttle was trying to sing along with The Prayer and he asked, "What are you doing here?" Scuttle was still singing, which caused the heroes to wake up.

The seagull tried to sing the Italian portion but was butchering it heavily.

Natius cried, "Hey Scuttle. I need to talk to you!"

Bianca walked into the room as Scuttle continued his off-key song, "Un mondo di justizia e di speranza."

Bianca asked Natius, "Were you playing with that music player?"

Scuttle continued his bridge trying to hit a note, but to no avail.

Bianca placed down an animal shuriken on the table, and she asked Scuttle, "What is causing you to sing an off-key version of an Oscar nominated song?"

Scuttle answered, "The Prince is getting married."

Zander walked into the guest room, and he noticed Natius's eyes were glassy as if he was out of it and he asked, "Did something happen to you?"

"Drop it," Natius grumbled, obviously not in the mood. "Scuttle!"

The bird finally gave the boy his attention. "What's the matter, kid?"

Natius answered, "You have some explaining to do. why were you singing that song. Where did you hear it?"

Scuttle replied, "A boy named Zander was showing me what your soundbox thing does. I gotta say your taste of music is really weird. It ranges from instrumentals from war pictures to really beautiful songs. Anyway, I'm here to announce the prince is getting married."

Natius asked Zander, "Of all the songs, you had to use The Prayer?"

Zander answered as he handed Natius his music player back, "I told you there are consequences that if I heard it again, I could explain to Scuttle where some strange music is coming from. That song has gone through a wide range of semitones and singers over the years. I lowered the pitch of the song by two semitones to give Scuttle an idea of what each function your music player does. Though I returned it back to the usual pitch by building up a momentum during the crescendo."

Natius groaned in frustration.

Scuttle asked, "What's wrong with you?"

Natius answered, "I didn't have a good night's sleep. You're lucky that you weren't squawking that song in the middle of the night."

Scuttle shrugged his feathery shoulders.

When Ariel heard the news that Eric was getting married, she thought that this meant that he loved her after all. But to her shock, she saw Eric with another woman. When Ariel heard that Eric wanted to marry this woman tonight at sunset, she was heartbroken.

Mahad stated to Natius, "There's something going on. What is it?"

Natius answered trying to avoid the nightmare lingering in his mind, "It was another nightmare."

Zander scolded, "Another nightmare? Come on, Natius. Why are you staying silent about the nightmare? Was I in it?"

Natius tried to lie, "No."

Zander replied, "You're lying, rodent boy."

Mana began laughing!

Natius looked at his friends. "Can we not discuss this? We should be focusing on helping Ariel."

Mahad sighed, giving in to his tone. "For now, but when this is over, you start talking."

"Fine," Natius replied.

Mana giggled, "Time to crash a wedding."

Danyal snarled at the woman, "Just you wait, bitch. You're going to be dancing with the Devil in the pale moonlight."

Zander told Danyal, "That reference you made don't mean anything here."

Danyal replied, "Came out the same year."

"We have to find some way to stop this," Mana said.

"Any ideas?" Natius asked.

Danyal asked, "Why not turn into sea birds and warn the animals of the sea about the situation."

"Why can't we just sneak aboard the ship?" Bianca asked.

Mana smiled, "Good idea and we can use the van!"

"We don't have it," Omar reminded her. "It's at Mickey's castle."

"So, we'll change back into merpeople and swim after the ship," said Natius. "We'll help get Ariel aboard while the animals are causing a fiasco."

Bianca cried, "Good idea. Let's go!"

By the time the heroes made it to the docks, the ship was already miles out at sea. They weren't about to give up, however. Once they all jumped into the water, their bodies changed back into those of merpeople. Ariel jumped in after them, but still didn't know how to swim as a human. Bianca and Jeanette helped her. At the same time, Sebastian hurried to find King Triton and notify him of what had been going on in the past few days and where Ariel was now. Anakin went along with him.

"The sun is about to set," ToboƩ cried.

"We can make it," Jeanette said.

Zander cried, "We've got a wedding to crash! Let's hurry!"

Scuttle began to fly to help the heroes taking with him animals from the sea!

Zander cried as he noticed animals following behind the heroes, "Oh yeah! Come on fellas we've got a wedding to crash! Let's hurry!"

Danyal continued swimming and she stated, "That crab had better get to the king. He could help defeat Ursula. After all she is his younger sister."

Zander asked confused, "You do realize that it was never established, right?"

Danyal stated, "The musical did just that."

They finally made it to the wedding ship. As they were climbing, the animals were causing an uproar, attacking the bride and scaring the guests. Samara made it through the frenzy. As she saw Ariel coming aboard, she grabbed the seashell necklace from the bride and shattered it at Ariel's feet, releasing her voice and breaking the spell on Eric.

Danyal smiled at this, and she said to Vanessa, "You got caught in a web of lies and deception! Reveal yourself, witch. Unless you want to dance with the Devil in the pale moon light."

"Oh, I will," she said, speaking with Ursula's voice. "For you see, Ariel is too late!"

It was true. The sun had set, and Ariel was a mermaid again. Ursula revealed her true form, horrifying everyone. She grabbed Ariel and took her below the sea.

Mana cried, "We have to go after her."

Prince Eric got the same idea. He got one of the smaller boats ready and started rowing with Samara. "Come on," he told the heroes. "I lost her once. I'm not going to lose her again."

Natius nodded and jumped in and was swimming beside the boat.

They came to a light coming from under the water. Mahad looked and spotted Ariel and Ursula.

As he came to the surface, Natius asked Mahad, "What's happening down there?"

"The power of Ariel's contract has been transferred to King Triton," he answered. "He decided to take his daughter's place as Ursula's prisoner."

"Oh, no," Samara cried. "Now Ursula will have the power of the trident!"

Danyal smiled, "Not before I give her a little injury."

She grabbed a harpoon and Eric cried as he dove in to accompany Danyal, "Wait up!"

Danyal asked, "Are you mad?! You'll drown!"

"Let him do what he's got to do, Danyal," Mahad told her.

Danyal stated, "All right, Eric. Let's hurry!"

Danyal saw Ariel, tied back by Flotsam and Jetsam and she threw the harpoon at the sea witch injuring her arm!

"Danyal, Eric," Ariel cried.

"After them," Ursula ordered her eels, and they began swimming after the two.

Danyal took out an arrow and pierced the blue eye of Flotsam as he was swimming close to her!

Ursula was about to obliterate Danyal and Eric, but Ariel pulled her back, causing the two eels to get caught in the attack. Now the sea witch was angry. She decided it was now time to use her new potion. She smashed a vial against the trident, filling it with the potion's effect.

Danyal swam away taking Eric to the boat and she cried noticing Ursula growing into a huge sea monster, "Holy Jesus!"

Ursula cackled as she looked down at the heroes. "You pitiful, insignificant fools!"

Natius cried as he noticed a red glow, "What is that? What the hell is that? What is that you demonic sea bitch?!"

"Something special I've been saving for you children," she said, raising the trident.

"She's going to kill us," Mana screamed.

Danyal looked around and noticed Eric steering a boat, but she looked down and noticed Ariel was glowing in a radiant light as a beautiful white trident appeared in her hand!

Ariel swam back up to the surface!

Ursula kept trying to attack the heroes with the trident. She knew if she could successfully kill them, she would be rewarded. She also figured that with her newfound power, she could overpower the Dark Masters.

Ariel blocked the attack meant for Danyal and by twirling her trident it created a magical bubble barrier!

Eric continued to ride through the storm, hoping to get close enough to attack the sea witch.

Ursula noticed Danyal and just as she was about to strike her, she felt something piercing into her!

The sea witch screamed in pain, begging for mercy from the Dark Masters.

A flash of magical fire broke the wood that was impaling her, and she refocused her attack as she unleashed powerful wave that would turn the heroes back into humans!

Ariel noticed Ursula using her father's trident to create a whirlpool meant to take the prisoners to the Forbidden Castle!

Ariel refused to allow this to happen as she unleashed a wave of her own using the trident in her hands at it unleashed a powerful wave of white light hoping to stop the whirlpool!

The heroes were struggling to keep away from the whirlpool. Samara was trying to keep herself from falling in as well. Eric grabbed her hand, pulling her back on the ship they were on.

Ariel's wave of light began clashing with the whirlpool!

Ursula wouldn't let up. She was determined to send the heroes to the Forbidden Castle one way or another. She used the power of the potion to put a sleeping spell on her enemies.

Ariel conjured a barrier of light hoping to prevent the sleeping spell and she asked, "Why do you target these children? They committed no crime!"

"I have orders to bring these children to the Dark Masters," she answered.

Ariel gasped. She had heard about the Dark Masters from her father. They were villains from the surface world. When King Triton found out that Ursula was affiliated with the Dark Masters, he banished her from the kingdom.

Ariel gripped her trident and she snapped, "You're not bringing them to those barbarians!"

Ursula chuckled in amusement. "Funny, you sound like your father."

Ariel grunted. Was it because of the Dark Masters that her father was so bitter and hateful of the surface dwellers?

Ariel unleashed a wave of her trident aiming for the whirlpool and snarled, "Your little whirlpool has subsided!"

"Fool," Ursula growled. "My power knows no bounds as long as I hold the trident! And once I'm finished with all of you, the Dark Masters will bow and cower before me!"

Maleficent heard that and struck lightning onto Ursula causing the sea witch to drop the trident.

The trident fell into the ocean into Triton's prescence and he was changed back and he swam to the surface to see his daughter posessing a smaller trident.

He thought to himself, "My little Ariel, a warrior?"

However, he had no time to question Ariel as he faced Ursula and he snarled, "Ursula! Stop this madness!"

Ursula begged, "Brother, we must punish those humans. I will send them to their proper place!"

But King Triton finally understood how wrong he had been about humans. After seeing Prince Eric and the others risk their lives to help Ariel, he now realized that not all humans were as evil as he thought.

King Triton replied, "You have gone too far Ursula! Surrender now."

Ursula noticed Danyal struggling to get back on the boat and she cried unleashing a sleeping spell towards Danyal, "Hey Ariel! Try to block this!"

Bianca watching from a distance gasped, "Oh my God! Danyal!"

Samara saw it coming and cried, "Look out!" as she pushed Danyal away, taking the attack and falling from the boat.

Danyal grabbed Samara's wrist and she pulled her on the boat with Eric's help!

Danyal fired an arrow at Ursula really irritated with that woman!

Ursula had enough, but she was running out of resources. She no longer had the trident, and she was almost out of potions.

"You might as well give up, Ursula," said Natius. "The way I see it, we can have you brought to King Mickey or you can face the wrath of the Dark Masters. And believe me, neither of them will be benevolent with you after all you've done."

Ursula asked outraged, "What?!"

Another thought came into mind for Natius. "Then again, we can leave it to King Triton to decide your fate."

King Triton stated to Ursula. "Since banishment didn't stop your return, then I have no choice but to sentence you to face King Mickey."

Ursula snarled, "That magpie is going back to the Dark Masters so they can punish her!"

Ariel snapped at Ursula, "This girl has no connection to you."

Danyal drew another arrow and she asked, "Have you ever danced with the Devil in the pale moonlight?"

She fired an arrow which struck Ursula in the arm!

"No chance that'll happen," Bianca snapped. "I bet if King Mickey doesn't punish you, the Dark Masters will," she said, remembering how the same thing happened with Clayton. Simba was going to take the poacher to King Mickey until the Dark Masters took him back.

Suddenly a portal appeared behind Ursula, and she was pulled into it.

"She's gone," Ariel observed.

"Back to the Dark Masters, I'll bet," said Natius.

Natius looked down and noticed that mermaids and mermen were swimming to the surface to thank Ariel for defeating Ursula!

Mahad stated, "Natius, now that the battle has ended, you are going to start talking."

Natius asked, "About what?"

Mahad gave him a stern glare. "We agreed that once Ursula was defeated, you would finally come clean about the nightmare you had the other night."

Natius sighed in exasperation. He knew he wasn't going to be able to keep trying to avoid the matter. Reluctantly, he began speaking. "In the nightmare, I saw Zander with a woman who turned out to be Jessica Rabbit and she whispered that it was for my own good."

Zander was outraged. "So, you did lie when you tried saying I wasn't in the nightmare."

"How could you have even guessed?" Natius snapped.

"Because the other night, as you were moaning and tossing around, I could hear you muttering my name," he answered.

Natius added, "Also when I tried to yell for help, I saw you walking away. Not bothering to save me as that woman used a breathing mask on my face! I tried to reach for someone to save me, but I felt myself blacking out."

Zander asked Natius with disappointment in his tone, "Why didn't you tell me about this?"

"I didn't want to give us more to worry about than we already had," he said. "We've got enough problems as it is, trying to find Mr. Virgil and a way home."

Natius stated, "To make it worst, my ancestress told me my fear is tarnishing the element of courage."

They knew he was talking about Mulan since she was the one who represented that element.

Mana asked, "Why would she say that?"

"Why else?" Mahad asked. "Since Natius has been having nightmares, he's been trying to back out like a coward."

Natius snapped, "That's bull-"

Danyal agreed, "Zander has a point. You've been backing out by not telling us about those nightmares you've been having. Also you decieved Zander by telling him he wasn't in those nightmares twice."

Zander asked Natius, "What did I do in those nightmares."

Natius confessed, "You were walking away from me. You also said something about anachronistic music."

Zander groaned, thinking he was referring to his taste of music.

Watching from the shore, Eric smiled at Ariel as the merfolk were praising her for her bravery. She looked at him too, but soon felt sad that the man she loved was not receiving as much praise.

King Triton saw how unhappy his daughter looked. "She really does love him, doesn't she, children?"

Mana nodded. "And he loves her too. That's why he risked his life for her."

Danyal stated, "I never expected for the youngest child to possess one of the purest of elements. Some people require freedom to lead their lives."

The king sighed in understanding. "Then I guess there's just one problem left."

"And what's that, Your Majesty?" Natius asked.

"How much I'm going to miss her," he answered. He understood the hardships, but he knew he had to let his daughter go so she could find happiness. King Triton used the power of his trident to turn Ariel into a human so she could be with the man she loved.

Ariel was dressed in a long-sleeved white dress that had a light blue stylized star on each sleeve.

"That must be the symbol for the element of light," Samara muttered.

Samara looked at her hand and noticed the same mark was on her hand.

The following day, a wedding was held for Ariel and Eric and all of their friends, humans and merfolk attended. King Triton even gave the newlyweds his blessing.

Natius asked Figaro, 'Where to now Fuzzy?"

"Please let the next world lead us to Mr. Virgil," Bianca groaned. "I'm tired of this being like a wild goose chase."

Samara noticed the door that led her to the world of her ancestors.

She asked Figaro, "Do I need to accompany them in finding Mr. Virgil?"

"The choice is yours," the kitten told her. "You can return home to your family, or you can stay and help your friends."

Samara stated to Natius making her decision, "As much as I would like to help you find that man, but I don't want my parents to worry. I hope you understand. I have to return home."

Danyal stated, "That's quite understandable and I have to say the element of light suits you like a glove for being a pure hearted person. It's quite unexpected that a maiden born from the bottom of the sea would possess one of the purest elements."

"We've met a lot of unlikely heroes who would represent the purest of elements," Bianca stated.

Samara proceeded to walk towards the door, and she stated, "Good luck in finding that man."

"Thanks," Natius replied.

Samara entered the door and Bianca asked, "Why does she get to go home?"

Mahad replied, "We still have a teacher to look for."

"But, still, what if we need her help?" Bianca asked.

Figaro pointed out, "Her parents would be disappointed in her."

"Just like how Brandon's mom is towards her son," said Natius.

Bianca began laughing at the idea of Brandon getting scolded by his mother was playing in her head.

Mahad asked Figaro, "Do you know where Judge Doom originated?"

Oliver stated, "I was introduced the same year, but I will tell you that Judge Doom was a dangerous toon before he made a Faustian pact with Chernabog and Maleficent."

Natius asked, "Why would he choose my history teacher, a very patient man in a room of classes that either show him respect or really infuriate him that he would kick an unruly student out of the classroom until the class ends so he would discuss punishments."

"Even we don't know that." Oliver answered. "We had no knowledge of what transpired between Maleficent and Judge Doom that would give the villain the idea of possessing your teacher."

Natius answered, "I would often go on my parents' computer and access YouTube to listen to the Prayer in a lower pitch to give it a better listening, but I would always change it back towards the end of the bridge of that song to give the song more momentum."

Mana answered, "So that explains why I was hearing a song that sounded familiar. It's from Quest for Camelot, but it was at a lower key. Is that why you panicked when Scuttle was on the high note point?"

Natius answered, "For some reason I keep having flashbacks of that nightmare."

Mana asked Zander, "Will avoiding that song help with reducing nightmares?"

Zander shrugged. "Who knows?"

Danyal commented, "I don't think it will solve anything."

Mana asked, "What are you saying?"

Danyal stated trying to keep this clear, "In other words, it might be a warning of what you might find in Toontown. So, it is best that we stay communicated. If we were to split up into separate parties, then I would advise not to confront Mr. Virgil without the rest of us. Given that we're dealing with a nefarious toon, it's best to stick together. We also need to be careful as Toons can be as petty as a common man."

Bianca asked Danyal, "How can they be petty when they're being persecuted?"

Danyal answered, "The toons are self-aware."

"And they'll hardly be helpful to us in any way because of that matter," Anakin added.

Danyal asked Jeanette, "Are you okay?"

Jeanette was annoyed with Natius's deception, and she scolded, "Snow White would be appalled with your deception. I bet she sent it to tell you not to listen to music ahead of the time period."

Natius asked, "What does my music have to do with this?"

"That's not the point," Jeanette was saying. "The point is, you shame your ancestors. Throughout our journey, there have been times when you have been undisciplined, unkind, and lacking courage."

"How?" Natius asked.

Anakin named one example. "You proved yourself undisciplined by trying to change things you knew could not be changed."

"You've been acting like a coward by trying to back out of dealing with your nightmares," Zander added.

"And rather than choose to show kindness even to your enemies, you choose to humilate and hurt them, knowing it makes you no better," Mahad concluded.

Danyal stated, "Also you disobeyed Snow White by sneaking onto enemy grounds."

Natius asked Zander, "What do you mean I backed out on my nightmares?"

"I mean, rather than address the problem regarding the nightmares, you try to avoid it by pushing your friends away," he said.

Natius realized this and he stated, "My problem with the nightmare is that I don't know who would send me a nightmare about being kidnapped. Also that stuff I was forced to breathe in was a mixture of chloroform and poppy fog. It felt like that time that I was high on incense, but only worse. I thought ignoring the nightmares would stop them. If it was Snow White, why would she do this?"

Bianca sighed in frustration. "Natius, ignoring your nightmares will not solve your problem. You have to face them."

Natius asked, 'How can I do that?"

"The answers will be in the next world," said Oliver.

Natius began thinking about what Jeanette told him about bringing shame to his ancestors. After remembering from his dreams how disappointed they were with him, he figured she was right. Back in Paris, while he was unconscious, Snow White came to him in his dream, scolding him for his lack of kindness. And now, just the other night, Mulan did the same thing and reprimanded him for showing lack of courage.

Mana stated, "Let's hope we can help Mr. Virgil. I may not know him, but I can't let that stop me from finding a way home.""

Figaro answered, "Yes, however we need to see if Master Yen has any new information regarding your situation."

Bianca looked at him in disbelief. "What are you saying? Once we return home, it won't be the end of our journey?"

Figaro looked on and he saw a broom coming with a letter.

Figaro opened the letter that was from Master Yen Sid and it has more information why Mr. Virgil was picked. When he found out about a rattlesnake incident involving Brandon Kyle, he was furious and he told Brandon that he had worked his last nerve and told him that he had called his father telling him what he had done. It also said that Natius needs to awaken the kindness lying in his heart.

Natius looked at the letter and he asked, "I don't understand. My ancestress awakened as the Walt Maiden of Kindness."

"She did," Figaro told him. "But you didn't. The power of the element is still dormant within you."

"And it will stay that way until you understand what it means to be kind towards others no matter who they are or what they've done," Oliver added.

Bianca began to remember something about the 1940s and she asked Oliver, "Does the Ink and Paint Club ID people? What I mean is do they check for IDs if they find underage people?"

The orange kitten nodded. "Things are going to be difficult for you without valid identification."

This gave Mana an idea and she stated, "Since it will be a time when Toons mingled with humanity, this will give us an opportunity to stumble upon the Big 5 Disney heroes like Snow White, Pinocchio, Mickey, Dumbo or even Bambi."

Figaro advised, "You still need to show your respect for them. They're the pioneers of our past."

An idea clicked in Natius's mind. If he could meet with his ancestress, maybe he could recieve some guidance on how to unlock the power of the element of kindness.

Danyal asked Figaro, "Why is a puppet considered a pioneer?"

Figaro answered, "Though his story flopped, he became just as significant as Snow White."

"But we haven't gone to his world yet," said Mahad.

"And I hope we never do," said Bianca. "That puppet was troubled."

Danyal agreed, "I concur. That puppet had good animation, but unfortunately his story falls flat. It's a wonder on how it became a legend."

"That world happens to be my master's home," Figaro told the heroes.

Danyal stated, "You have my respect since your world is one of the American animated films that came out during the golden age of animation."

"Thank you," Figaro said appreciatively. "Now I suggest we take you to the next world. I can't stand this environment any longer."

Oliver agreed. He was aware of what happened the last time Figaro was out at sea. Besides, the kittens were starting to get a little seasick.

A portal opened, which meant a new world needed help!

The heroes passed through, hoping at last that they would find their history teacher.

Ursula stood before the throne room of the four Dark Masters and they were furious, especially Maleficent.

Maleficent rose from her throne, and she stated walking towards Ursula, "Give me one good reason as to why I shouldn't have you thrown in the dungeons for your failure!"

Ursula countered, "I can create an incense bomb with poppy fragments. Plus, I almost captured a little girl with storm cloud eyes."

Jafar gave her a deathly glare. "You got carried away with your newfound power like that swine Gaston. That led you to consider overthrowing us."

"We should turn you into seafood for Scar and his hyenas just like how we slaughtered that swine," Turbo suggested.

"A fitting punishment for a creature such as yourself," Frollo said in agreement.

Maleficent nodded. "I see fit to have you executed for insubordination."

Ursula begged, "Give me one more chance. I can create an incense bomb mixed with poppy fragments. I almost captured a girl with storm cloud eyes! Please!"

"Why?" Turbo asked. "Because you didn't get a chance to use that potion you kept bragging about?"

Ursula argued, "I tried to strike that magpie, but one little girl interfered!"

"You mean the one who just awakened as a warrior of one of the purest of elements," said Maleficent.

"When I struck the girl, I saw that as an opportunity for me to capture her and bring her to you," said Ursula.

Turbo shouted, "Just kill her!"

Maleficent looked at him. Turbo cleared his throat. "I mean, give the word, Maleficent, and I'll shock her to death."

"You wouldn't," Ursula growled.

Maleficent replied, "Turbo, I would be careful with that attitude."

Turbo growled, "Come on, let me shock her!"

"No!" she shouted. She turned her attention back to Ursula. "While I don't appreciate you thinking about overthrowing us, I'll let you off with a warning this once."

The sea witch sighed in relief. "You are too kind, Maleficent."

"But be warned," she continued, "any more ideas of such actions and you will be put to death."

"It won't happen again," Ursula promised.

Turbo pouted, but Frollo asked Ursula, "Did you say incense bombs?"

Turbo scoffed. "Sounds like my tactic of using sugar alcohol in the same manner when I was in my world."

Frollo stated, "Besides Ursula there's no way for incense to be converted into an explosive to incapacitate anyone without the risk of killing them."

"I'm still working on the details," she sheepishly replied.

Turbo suggested, "What about turning it into a smoke bomb?"

Jafar answered, "No."

Maleficent looked at Turbo. "Wasn't it you who was worried about the material endangering the environment because the substance was from another domain?"

"I was," Turbo admitted. "But if Ursula has been working on the details as claims, then maybe we can make it harmless."

Jafar groaned in annoyance. If he wasn't a genie, he would kill Ursula himself. Then again, Maleficent would not only revoke his position as a Dark Master, but she would also kill him.

Frollo snarled, "She tried to overthrow us."

Jafar agreed. "And you know our laws are absolute. Ursula must be punished accordingly."

"I'm well aware of her actions, gentlemen. But Ursula is still helpful to us with her own magical talents." She smirked and thought to herself, And to think she could have been a Dark Master after acquiring all that power. It was true. Maleficent almost considered the idea of having Ursula become a Dark Master until Jafar came along and proved himself to be a more powerful being.

Frollo asked, "Where are those brats headed to?"

"Toontown," Turbo answered. "The main district at the border between the Domains."

Maleficent stated, "It's time Judge Doom to face his test."

"Finally," Jafar replied. "We can put him to use. In addition, we don't have to put up with any more of his complaints."

Turbo asked, "What complaints did he have?"

"Don't act like you don't know," Jafar snapped. "He was always complaining about when he would finally get a chance to face those brats."

Turbo huffed. Then a thought occured to him. "Say, Toontown is right at the border between the Domains. And considering the fact that the Hawkins girl and her comrades are from the Warner Domain-,"

"They weren't sighted anywhere in Toontown," said Frollo. "Those children didn't pass through the border when they came to my world."

"Which means they found another way," said Jafar. "Why do you fret about those children, Frollo? It's not like you'll have to deal with them again."

Maleficent ordered, "Bring in Judge Doom!"

Mr. Virgil came to the throne room, under Judge Doom's control. "My patience is wearing thin, Dark Masters. When will you finally send me to take care of those brats?"

Turbo smiled, "Today's your lucky day. Don't screw this up."

"Finally," Judge Doom said, without much gratitude.

Jafar warned, "Do not waste this opportunity to corrupt one of the four boys from the 70s."

"Why should I listen to you?" Judge Doom asked.

"You may be going to your world, but you are still bound by our standards," Maleficent reminded him.

Turbo stated, "One word of advice Judge Doom, stay away from Takahashi. You are to focus on your host's students."

"Do you think I don't know that?" Judge Doom asked.

Maleficent ordered, "That's enough."

Jafar warned Judge Doom, "Do not do anything foolish."

Judge Doom left without another word. As he did, the Dark Masters began to question their trust in him.

Frollo asked Jafar, "Do you really think, he'll succeed where the others failed?"

"Right now, he's our only hope," he replied. "The children won't attack their teacher even if he is possessed. That will give Judge Doom the edge he needs to defeat them."

Turbo stated, "He can't fail."

"What will we do if he does?" Frollo asked. "There's no one else we can depend on and each of us barely made it back here alive after our own battles."

Jafar retorted, "The boy hasn't awakened the element of Kindness."

Maleficent asked, "What?"

"We need to make sure it stays that way so the power of the dagger can never be purified," Jafar explained.

Turbo asked, "What if the teacher kills himself? Will it purify the dagger?"

"I don't know," Jafar answered. "Nothing like that has ever happened before."

"I only ask because I thought only an act of kindness could purify the dagger," said Turbo.

"If Simeon uses the dagger on himself, it won't be considered an act of kindness on his part," Maleficent was saying. "As such, the dagger will remain impure and kill the man and also condemn Judge Doom."

"Which means that Simeon Virgil will only die in vain." Frollo concluded.

Turbo asked, "What do you mean condemned?"

"I mean as I say," Maleficent replied. "Judge Doom will be forced to spend eternity into the lowest depths of Hell."

Turbo asked, "What would be his sin?"

Maleficent answered, "Treachery."

Jafar asked, "What makes Judge Doom treacherous?"

"He persecuted and killed toons like himself," Turbo answered. "And he possesses a human against his will."

Maleficent added, "Also the dagger will force Judge Doom to wear searing hot iron shoes."

Turbo asked, "How would you know that?"

Maleficent replied, "One variation of Grimhilde was forced to wear red hot iron shoes and dance in them until she dropped dead. Imagine what Judge Doom will endure."

Her comrades dreaded at the thought. Frollo shuddered, thinking that if Natius had struck him in the heart, the minister would have met the same fate.

Turbo asked, "What's wrong with you Frollo?"

Frollo snapped back to reality as he explained that he had heard stories of the blade's power and now Turbo understood why Frollo dreaded the thought.

Frollo asked with concern, "Should I give Mr. Virgil a sidekick to keep an eye on him?"

"I don't think that'll be necessary," Maleficent answered.

Frollo commented, "That judge better not fail us."
