Chapter 28

A Heroic Thief

This was a suggestion by a reviewer, but this was also one of my favorite games back when I was a teen. Though I started with 2 when I was 14, I did like this game back in the day. Just a note though, for this first one I'll probably do an episode a chapter. Since Thieveus Raccoonus is the shortest game. So on with the show.

(No POV)

"I wonder what this version of Midoriya is gonna get into?" Mineta questioned while settling back in. Shoji brought up that it could be that Izuku had a mutant type quirk. "Maybe he's trying to be a hero to counter the image his mutation brings up."

"You mean raccoons being associated with thieves?" Ida asks with a tilt of his head. Nezu then brings up that he did much the same when he was younger. "But I found that being "sneaky like a rat" ended up doing more good than trying to be noble in the same way," the hybrid creature said before the screen lit up once more.

The scene showed Paris. A French flag fluttering in the breeze. Suddenly, a raccoon person was running along the rooftops. Easily walking along the edge like it was nothing. Not worrying about the thought of slipping.

Nezu nods while complimenting the dexterity of the character. "But I suppose that would be fitting of a quirk that makes you like a nimble creature." The others agree while also wondering how this version of Izuku would be a hero or how he'd fight villains.

"Maybe he's more like you Shota. And underground hero. Would make sense given it's nighttime." Mic says with a scratch of his chin. Aizawa though doesn't seem to be thinking that. 'The way he's moving around. It is like he's on a mission. But not one that is looking for trouble,' the insomniac thinks.

As he ran towards a chimney, he brandished his cane. The curved gold hook slightly shimmering as he swung and destroyed the fixture. Bricks falling just before he did. Landing with barely a sound on another ledge. The figure presses himself up against the wall as he slinks along. Turning a corner to look over to the local police station.

With another pair of leaps, he lands atop the sign and then onto the roof of the police station. A quick taking of a three-point stance before looking up towards the camera. His green eyes shimmering a bit in the night. And the blue cap on his head barely covered his curly hair. Above him in a stylized scene, it reads: Sly Izuku Cooper.

Aoyama and a few others tilt their heads at this Sly Cooper seeming to sneak atop the police station. "Is he guarding the area?" Tetsutetsu says with a hum. Kirishima though notes that it was different. "It's not like when we'd go out with Fat Gum. This feels…. I don't know."

The teachers feel the same but they can't get a real feel as to how Izuku would be a hero here. Even Nezu wasn't seeing a possible pattern. 'Other than maybe doing internal investigations or something that would require him to sneak into something.'

He turned around a bit before bringing up the binocucom in his backpack. "SLY! Come in! SLY! Do you read me!?" is heard loudly through the coms and in the audience. Some wincing as they look at a funny turtle wearing glasses on the screen opposite Sly.

"Yeah, I read you. Loud and….. very loud," the raccoon says with a wince. The turtle looks slightly sheepish and says, "sorry, I'm a little nervous. Breaking into police headquarters does that." Izuku rolls his eyes before saying, "get over it Tenya. You're safe in the van. I'm the thief here. I've got to steal that file from Inspector Carmalita Melissa Fox!"

Hearing the voice yelling made a few others wince as well. Jiro most of all. But after that came the two bomb drops. First being that this version of Izuku wasn't working with the police or anything like that. He was stealing from them and defined himself as a thief.

And while Ida was ready to start berating the other Izuku for taking such a path, when he realized that his accomplice was another version of himself. Well let's just say you'd have thought he'd been petrified. With how frozen in place he was.

"SERIOUSLY!?" was the first thing roared out by the audience. Even Nezu was surprised before laughing like a maniac. All Might's jaw was on the ground and he was white as a ghost. He was so shocked he didn't even notice the last name drop. The rest of the teachers watching were equally dumbfounded. But that still couldn't compare to how the students were taking it.

With half of class 1-A rubbing their eyes or trying to make sense of what they were seeing. While 1-B were wondering if they would be chasing down the criminals. Some more loudly or obnoxiously than others.

Tenya nods before saying, "well count on me to be your eyes and ears, buddy. Got their security system totally scoped. To get inside, you're gonna have to go through that air vent." Izuku gives an affirmative before a new voice pops in.

"And don't forget you've got me at the wheel Sly. All you gotta is grab the file and get back to the van. We'll do the rest" a pink hippo says with a slightly nervous nod to the raccoon. "Just keep that engine running Riki. I'll be down in no time."

Sato spit takes so hard he covers Mineta and Kaminari in soda before saying, "me too!?" Ida is still stiff or unconscious so he can't berate his classmate for working with or being a criminal. But Bakugo takes the time to laugh out loud at the fact two of his biggest rivals were criminals in a different world.

"Hey wait…. I just realized something. Midoriya being a raccoon isn't special here. I mean, Sato's a hippo and Ida is a turtle…. Though that last one is kind of ironic." Tokoyami said while shaking his head. The others looked at the screen and agreed and having a few more laughs at the frozen Ida's expense.

The walk to the air vent gets interrupted when Sly starts noticing something odd. "Hey Tenya, I think I'm seeing things. Must be vertigo or something. Can you see those crazy blue lights?" The turtle though is fascinated and has an idea on what they are.

"Really? I've read about this. Master raccoon thieves are able to sense thieving opportunities which manifest themselves as unexplainable blue auras! According to my research, all you have to do is get near them, and you should instinctively know how to do a sneaking move." Sly shrugs and repeats what he heard before walking up to the auras. And he knows how to easily slip along the edge with no fear and get to the next point.

Tsuyu hummed before saying, "so… they're all animals. But some special types of them can do crazy things that no one else can? Like seeing those lights?" Momo hummed and shook out of her own stupor before agreeing. "It may not be a quirk, but something like…. Intuition. Though I wouldn't think that would be that special."

He deftly jumps from atop a few antennas and it right in front of the air vent in question. Sly strikes the grate and he now has access to the main vent. But once inside he spots something unsettling. Lasers criss crossing the interior of the ventilation system.

"Be extra careful in here Sly. Break one of those lasers and you'll set off the alarms. Not to mention you'll be fried to a crisp!" Tenya warns with worry lacing his voice. Sly chuckles a bit before easily jumping between some of the gaps of the lasers and landing on safe spots. Ending at the bottom where a sensor alarm was sitting.

"Well that an unsettling increase of danger. And in such a strange place." Jurota says while adjusting his glasses. And even though they disapproved of the other Izuku being a thief, many of the members of 1-A were nervous as he made his way through the vent. "Such a strange world." Nezu said with a scratch of his chin. Contemplating the unusual variations of security.

He destroys this and all the lasers on the floor he was on blink off. "Nice job. You're in. Inspector Carmalita Melissa Fox's office is behind the red door." Tenya reports and Izuku finds it. Only to realize it's locked. He looks around a bit before spotting some of the lights outside the window.

This time, All Might does notice the name and spit takes upon hearing it. "Wait! Melissa?! She's… a police officer?!" he says with a cough. Izuku hums and suddenly has a moment where he questions how much trouble he was always in with her. "Let alone the rest of us."

"You're…. taking this pretty well Deku. Why is that?" Ochaco asked with a slightly concerned look. And Izuku just shrugged and noted that his character had been outside of the laws multiple times already. "So it's not that strange anymore. And we've only seen just a little bit. There's likely more we've yet to see."

He follows them and sneaks along the edge to another open window. Once there, Izuku spots the safe he needs to access. As well as a map dotted with multitudes of thumbtacks. Each one with the attached name Sly Izuku Cooper.

Sly smiles before thinking to himself, 'she just can't get enough of me~.' He focuses on the safe though and asks Tenya for the code. "I hacked into the police security mainframe and found the combo. Try dialing in 9-3-7."

And as impossible as it may seem, Ida somehow got stiffer. Passing out and falling over in the same stance he had been standing in. "Should…. We be concerned?" Mineta asked while gently poking their class president. The only answer given was a "maybe".

The raccoon does just that and the safe opens to show him the sensitive documents within. And his file is the largest and the one on the top. 'Thank you, Melissa.' Izuku thinks before pulling the folder out.

"Nice job! You got it! If you come down through the fire escape and head through the parking lot, we'll be waiting in the getaway van." Rikido informs Sly. The raccoon gives him a quiet 'right' before putting the file in his backpack. And just for a bit of flair, he pulls a little blue green raccoon face slip out of his sleeve. And leaves it right where his file used to be.

"Huh. This one seems to like to show off a bit." Midnight says with a raised eyebrow. Before thinking about the legendary Peerless Thief. And how he would brag or leave things to gloat after stealing from certain heroes.

Right as he sets foot on the fire escape though, he hears a voice ring out. "CRIMINAL!" is heard and on an opposing roof, Melissa Fox is standing. Her blue eyes matching much of her hair, with some yellow streaks in her ponytail. The vixen is wearing tight fitting jeans, combat boots, and a tight top under a tan leather jacket.

MIneta for once seems conflicted. "As hot as she looks and given the state of our own world, I'm not sure if I should make more of a comment about it." Awase agrees, while Kosei doesn't bother hiding that he was looking very close at the tight top and jeans the fox was wearing.

Only to feel an intimidating presence behind him. Two of them actually. The first was All Might, who was giving him a glare some could only compare to the fight with AFO. The second was an equally terrifying Izuku. Who's body was crackling with electricity from his quirk being active. Kosei looked like he was about to soil his pants when he dropped to his knees and started apologizing profusely.

"You foolish raccoon! I've caught you red handed!" Carmalita says while aiming her weapon at Izuku. "Ah Carmalita. I haven't seen you since I gave you the slip in Bombay." The officer grits her teeth before saying, "which reminds me. You need to return the Firestone of India to it's rightful owners."

Someone expected Ida to lambast Izuku for his counterpart, but he was still frozen. Instead, Monoma started in with, "someone is clearly a long time offender. Much like stealing the glo-guck!" Itsuka knocked him out before saying, "don't forget what you chose as a hero name dumbass. You are the Phantom Thief after all."

While she was dealing with that, Mineta and Awase noticed something else. "Okay… This isn't just teasing out of competition. Right?" Awase said with narrowed eyes. Mineta agreed and said, "definitely sexual tension. And it's REAL thick. Like her thighs." As he said that though, the intimidating visages were shot his way.

Sly smiles cheekily before saying, "aw. And I was going to give it to you as a little token of my…. Hey, you know that bazooka really brings out the color of your eyes. Very fetching." The vixen blushes slightly before refocusing and saying, "you think? This pistol packs a paralyzing punch. You oughta try it. Might snap you out of crime spree."

"And give up our little rendezvous?" Izuku quips. And all Melissa has to say in response was, "plenty of time for that once you're safely behind bars!" Sly can see this conversation is going no where so he leaves with, "love to stick around and chat, but I just dropped by to pick up this case file. I think you've had it long enough."

Kaminari 'huhs' before noting, "so she has a more usable version of my point and shooter gear." Jiro agrees before noting that there seemed to be something else behind all of the stealing. "There's more to this than just flirting and being a villain. And even the way he phrases his thefts is off."

And with that, Sly quickly makes his way down the fire escape and into the parking lot. All the while Carmalita is fire shot after shot at him. And destroying a fair amount of property. From cars to the fire escape itself. But Izuku dodges all of them and makes it to the van. "You can't escape me raccoon!" the fox yells as the van peels out of the lot.

"Clearly looks like he did." Bakugo said with an unamused eye at the screen. 'After all the time of me being the bad guy and what not, now we get a version of Deku who's closer to a villain. And he gets away with it!' the suspended student thinks as the screen shifts again.

The scene then cuts to the van driving down the streets as fast as possible. The sirens and lights of the police being left in the dust. "Once again, my gang and I had given Inspector Fox the slip. I was surprised to see how well she took it." The image then shows Melissa snarling as she watches the criminals getting away.

A few students have a laugh at this. With Juzo saying, "at least we can more often catch the villains we deal with." Izuku winces at the idea that he and his classmates were called villains. Aizawa though defends them somewhat. "While I don't condone what this other Midoriya is doing, I can respect the skill he and the rest have. Unlike most villains who act on the spur of the moment, they seem to be more about planning things out.

"Finally the secret police file I'd been searching for all these years. With this I can avenge my family and regain possession of our most valuable treasure." The monologue starts with this before cutting to an image of a young Izuku with his father.

Hearing avenging, Ida feels another mental stab. This time directed at his own wish for revenge against Stain for what happened to his brother. 'Does this Midoriya have a similar story? Or is there something else driving him?' he thinks as he's slightly coming out of his shock.

The other teens in the audience though worry about what Izuku could be getting into. And the teachers each frown at him seeking to take justice in his own hands. "Does he really think that will solve anything? Maybe it would in this case. We'll just have to see."

"It all began when I was just a kid, bouncing on my father's knee. You see, I come from a long line of master thieves, who kept all their secrets of sneaking and stealing in an ancient book. The Theivius Raccoonus."

While this was being said, images go past of various Coopers. From Ancient Egypt to Feudal Japan, to even the pirating age. Before the outer cover of the book is shown. With the insignia that Izuku had placed in the safe being boldly printed on the front.

Nezu was wide eyed and put together more of what happened to the boy in his mind. A slight tear building as he shook his head. Ochaco whistled before saying, "I know being a hero is in your family Ida, but it looks like this raccoon has you beat in that. For length of time if nothing else."

Ida shook his head and agreed. "I have to say, it is impressive that they've been active so long. But it is still a deplorable act!" Izuku winced at this while wondering what made the book so special.

"Anyone who read it learned to be especially sneaky. Which is why we specialize in stealing from criminals. After all, there's no honor, no challenge, no fun, in stealing from ordinary people. You rip off a master criminal, and you know you're a master thief."

Izuku was wide eyed hearing this as were a few others. "So, we're not… evil in the same sense? We….. steal from criminals and maybe….. leave them for the authorities?" The rodent like hero agrees with this. Stating, "it seems as though your other self's family are ones who believe in taking from and taking down, those who don't earn their fortunes. At least honestly."

The next scene brings some hearts down as Sly or Izuku continues. At a front door, five forms are seen in silhouette. "On the night I was supposed to inherit the book, five visitors came unannounced to our door." The screen then shows Sly hiding in a closet, and just barely looking out.

"My father tried to protect us, but the gang of villains known as the Fiendish Five overpowered him and ransacked our house until they found it. The Thievius Raccoonus! My family's manual of thieving greatness fell into their filthy hands."

What is also shown is his father falling to the floor after taking blows from the villains in question. His wife dying next to him. And all Izuku could do was cry and wish he could get at least the book back from the ones who destroyed his family.

Ida was frozen again. But not in shock at what he or his other self had a hand in. Instead, it was for what the young Izuku had experienced. Eri started to tear up, as did others in the audience. Ochaco and Mina both hugging Izuku. Who's waterworks were on par with what happened during the Sports Festival.

The teachers were no better. As Midnight had started crying as well with All Might. Mic and Aizawa grit their teeth in anger and sadness at what happened to one so young. Nezu though let out a sad sigh before doing something similar to Ibarra. Praying for lost souls.

The monologue continues with, "they tore the book into five pieces and split it up. Each villain disappearing to the farthest corners of the globe to commit dastardly crimes." The last image flashes a bird like figure that glares into the screen.

The final glare of the owl like entity makes everyone shiver. Nezu most of all. While All Might couldn't help but be reminded of his old enemy in the way the glare was directed.

"Broke and alone, I was dumped at the town orphanage. There I met two guys who would become my lifelong buddies and trusted crew." A young Sly is shown and a young Rikido or Riki the Hippo, and Tenya the Turtle.

Described with, "Tenya. Techno genius and strategist supreme. And Riki. Part time driver and full time burden. Together we pledged to track down the Fiendish Five, avenge my father, and steal back the Thievius Raccoonus!"

"So you guys aren't just his team or a group he hired. You're like. His family." Shoji said with a look to Ida and Sato. They both rubbed their necks a bit before giving Izuku a thumbs up. He sniffled a bit before thanking them with a return of the gesture.

A few more flashes show the group as Sly finishes his thoughts. "I knew I was about to face the toughest test of my life. On this mission, I'd either become a master thief like my ancestors before me. Or fail and allow my family name to bite the dust."

Ida nods before saying, "while I know where revenge can get you, in this case I'd say it is far more justified. If for nothing else, that the other Midoriya gets back what was stolen from him." Sato agrees while noting that he may not even have to fight the villains. "If he's got thieving in his history, he could just sneak in and steal the pages of the book back."

"I doubt it would be that easy though. If these…. Fiendish Five villains….. Okay that's just a dumb name. Anyway, if they were willing to work together to take out my family. Then they'd be more than willing to take me out." Izuku said with a slight glare at the screen.

At their hideout on the tracks, Tenya compliments Izuku on how he handled things at Police HQ. "I've already plotted a route to our first target." Tenya says while typing on his computer. "Then lets waste no time. Let's get this started." Izuku says with a focused glare at the map.

The van leaps over another hill as Izuku looks over details pertaining to the first member of the Fiendish Five they were going after: Sir Raleigh Giren the Frog. Showing an unsettling look on the villain's face.

This time it isn't a usual suspect who reacts to the screen. Tsuyu lets out a spit take at seeing a criminal frog. One that made her shiver with disgust. Between the crooked teeth and the twisted calculating gaze he was giving the camera, Raleigh looked like a man who would come up with a variety of ways to kill you.

"As a young man, this hot-tempered frog grew bored of his life of luxury and privilege." The scene showing a frog leaning on his a hand as his meal of flies was delivered to him on a silver platter. "On a whim, he tried his hand at a bit of piracy and found it to his liking.

As Sly was thinking this, Raleigh was smiling broadly and rolling a glass of wine in his hand. Siting atop a ship full of treasure while other ships burned around him. "Raleigh, who quickly became addicted to crime, was brought into the Fiendish Five as Chief Machinist. Where his evil tinkering genius rose to new heights."

"Are you kidding me!? He started doing all of this just because he was bored!?" Tsuyu roars out with a deep croak. A few from her class looked at her with a mixture of bemusement and worry. "Rich people often have moments where they are extra bored and tried to find something to get their blood racing. Right Yaomomo?" Mina asked with a look to the heiress. Who blushed a bit and tried to deny the statement.

The raccoon hummed to himself while looking over the reports of the frog's last whereabouts. "The last reported sighting of this mad machinist was off the soggy coast of the Isle of Wrath. A small island uncomfortably situated in the middle of the perilous Welsh Triangle."

The screen then showed a title card that moved to the side. Sly Izuku Cooper in: Tide of Terror! As lightning flashed in the background, storms seemed to roil on the screen.

"This feels kind of like an old cartoon. Is the Welsh Triangle a real place? Let me check….. huh. It actually is. Wonder how this Izuku is going to handle that frog. I wonder if we'll see more of those sneaking moves. Probably." These thoughts were murmured aloud by teachers and students as the screen shifts to the mission at hand.

A ship roughly dumps the group on the Island before being sunk and Riki makes his way to where Tenya suspected Raleigh to be. Once there, Izuku quickly threw the back doors open and hurried along the path. As rain pours all around him and lightning flashes above.

"Well that was an ominous moment." Kinoko says while watching the ship sink. Some of the teens agree, while Ida and other contemplative students have a moment where they were confused by the storm. "A system like that…. Doesn't stay in one place." Momo notes with a frown. They aren't the only ones thinking this as Nezu notes the oddity as well.

"Hey Sly! I just spotted something that's going to complicate the mission. See that nasty looking gate? It blocks the only road leading to Raleigh's hideout." Izuku just chuckles and tells his friend, "No problem. I'll just climb over it. Or along it."

Tenya groans before reminding Sly that he could only climb certain surfaces. "Like that ladder or those ropes?" Sly says sarcastically, but the turtle misses this. And Izuku reminds him that this was what he lived for. "Yeah and that's what worries me."

A few snort at the turtle Tenya's neurosis and Sly Izuku's sarcasm and flippancy. "So, while ours is a stickler for rules, that one is a paranoid chicken?" Kaminari says with a chuckle. Their version though blushes and isn't sure on the best way to respond to the comments. Izuku though is wondering if he could take some ques from this thief. 'At least in regard to confidence,' the green teen thinks to himself.

Izuku noticed a few other things though. Namely that there were a handful of bottles scattered around that seemed to have paper in them. When he broke them open, Tenya identified that they contained a code of some sort. Ones he could decipher with enough of them.

"Seems like this version of you has more skills. Or at least varied skills compared to you." Momo comments with a hum. And as much as Ida dislikes the idea that he's a criminal, he does respect the turtle's knowledge. "While that Midoriya is the point man or main field agent….. I guess I'm the analyst and planner."

Past the gate, Tenya had a new warning. "Hold on Sly. See those searchlights? One careless step and you'll be subjected to acute combustion." But the raccoon is not worried. "Are you done whining? Let's go!" And Tenya iterates that he was trying to keep him alive.

Ida lets out another humorless chuckle before thinking back on a few of his own failings at trying to keep Izuku safe. 'My revenge driven attack on Stain. The refusal to help when the villains were attacking during the training camp. Going with them to save I Island. And then again working to rescue Bakugo. I guess no version of me can really keep them all safe.' Ida thinks slightly bitterly.

Izuku quickly made his way past the lights and then silenced the alarm they were connected to. Then deftly dealt with another of the walrus guards standing in his way. Once on a hill overlooking the full hideout, Tenya informed Sly where his quarry was.

"That big blimp is where Raleigh is hiding out." Sly narrows his eyes at it through his binocucom. "You know, that blimp looks more like a machine than a hideout." The turtle checks some readings and concurs with the raccoon. "That is a storm machine! It's the reason it never stops raining around here."

A few heads tilt to the side before someone asks the question. "That seems like a dumb idea. Why build that?" Kaminari asks while looking at the machine. Nezu chuckles and tells the students to think critically about it. Most assume it was to protect his turf or that it related to his frog nature.

"Maybe….. it's got to do with what we saw at the beginning of this mission!" Ochaco says with her eyes widening. Ida and Setsuna follow her thoughts and can see what she was getting at. "The storms are causing more ships to sink or tip! And then Raleigh's pirate crew can find the ships later!" the pair put together. And Nezu commends their understanding. "We'll probably get a confirmation soon enough."

Sly hums while looking at it again and notes the wrecked ships. Tenya though can't understand why Raleigh would want bad weather 24/7. "Beats me. But rain or shine, I'm gonna get my family's book back. And if Raleigh gets in my way, its on!" Izuku says with some mild venom.

Izuku hums before saying, "I'm a little uncomfortable with how ready this other me is ready for a fight." Bakugo scoffs and tells him that it makes sense. "These guys killed your parents, stole a family heirloom, and left you to live in an orphanage. I'd say he's pretty justified here." And while most of the teachers want to deny it, they couldn't disagree on that it was deserved.

He deals with more guards and uses his cane to attach onto a hanging hook. Swinging a bit to get over a gate and towards set of water wheels. Once past those, he comes upon another set of searchlights. Quickly and easily evading them all he disables the security and dispatches the guards.

Izuku then finds all of the clues to a special vault next to the exit gate. And next to a case holding a key. The vault holding a page from his family's book. And the key opening the way to the main grounds of Raleigh's lair.

"Well that explains why the staff or cane is shaped that way." Toru comments upon seeing how the raccoon could hook onto thinks. A few others wonder what else it could be used to hook onto. The slowing down time power though confused everyone. "Hmmm. I'm not sure he's slowing down time. Instead, it might be that he's speeding up his perception of time." Nezu states. Noting that he could do similar with his High Specs quirk.

Sly survey's a bit of the situation and Tenya warns about trying to get up to the frog. Noting that he'd need to get to more of the keys scattered around the grounds. But the raccoon isn't worried. Instead, he has a confident smirk on his face as he says, "so when are you going to get to the impossible part of my plan?"

Snorts of laughter were let out again as the raccoon showed no fear or worry about what he was up against. "Not too different from ours. Right down to making the class president freak out a bit." Kirishima says with a smirk directed the two in questions' way. With Izuku rubbing the back of his head in embarrassment.

Tenya groans a bit before bringing up more locations for him to head to. When Izuku arrives in the central plaza, Raleigh comes over the intercoms. Congratulating his crew on the number of ships they sank and crews they killed with the storm machine. Collecting the cargo and other parts for new machines.

Eyes of the audience were a wide hearing that, before narrowing in anger. And a few snarling or letting out equally sounding noises of discontent. "It really is just that he's using the storms to sink ships." Ochaco says while tightening her fists a bit. Tsuyu meanwhile looked ready to leap in and smack the frog around herself for everything he'd done. Kosei hummed before

Izuku makes his way down into the machine first. Closing furnace doors to keep from being burned, dealing with guards, avoiding electrified turbines, and finding the key he needed inside of a protected area. One that he damaged by making a pressure rod ram into the gears of mechanism. Once he was done, he had the key and the storm machine was weakened.

Seeing all of the machinery and dangerous equipment that Izuku was moving through, made most of his classmates' hair stand on end. "Okay who would think spinning electrified fan blade things would be a good idea?!" Mina asked in a panicked tone. "Probably the same guy who thought it was necessary to put lasers in an area with furnaces." Sato notes with a raised eyebrow.

But upon Izuku sabotaging the machine more let out subdued "yes!" or just said nice job to the raccoon. With the teachers also complimenting him. "Even if it's not entirely intentional and he's just trying to get a key to get to his enemy." Aizawa notes while scratching his chin.

The raccoon then made his way through a special area that seemed to have a variety of treasures inside. And a lot of laser security guarding it. The young thief having to perfectly time each of his jumps to keep from being caught. Or falling into the water. Since he can't swim.

A few were tapping their feet in nervousness at seeing Sly hoping from lily pad to lily pad. Or sliding along the pillars to avoid the spotlights guarding the way. "Man. He's got lots of stamina." Tetsutetsu comments watching how the thief moved through the grotto. Mineta and Awase snorted at this before the former commented, "something tells me that foxy cop might enjoy that idea~."

Tenya stops Sly while in the main grounds quickly and takes note of something. "Sly - see that machine wheel? If my knowledge of mechanical engineering serves me right, applying significant rotational torque to achieve maximum velocity will yield a positive result."

A third of the students seem to short out hearing this. Kaminari and Mina being the first ones to be completely confused. "So….. is overly long word usage normal for most versions of Ida? That or him being a stickler for rules. The long word usage could apply to others as is. Like Tokoyami, Kuroiro, and Yanagi."

"You mean something good will happen if I can get the wheel to spin fast enough?" Izuku asks with a confused look. "Isn't that, what I just said?" Tenya asks with slight annoyance. The positive result in this case, is platform being lowered and giving Sly access to another machine section.

The furnace area where more of the wheels were set and Sly could use them to get himself through the hardware and then to a conveyor belt system. Though to get to the key, he had to time his activation of the wheel in time with avoiding the searchlight.

Laughter is had again at the interaction of the turtle and raccoon thieves. "This frog guy seems to like using those wheels. Probably just a coincidence." The hard heads comment on seeing the way the area seemed to function. Tsuyu and Kinoko though seemed to be sweating just watching as Sly was moving through the molten metal maze.

Once that was done, Izuku disabled the gate around the generator. Then destroyed it, leaving the power empty. And surprising Tenya. Though he had some bad news. "Here's a real test for you. I've found a way up to Raleigh's hideout, but unfortunately it is doomed to failure."

"You're not going to tell me I have to shoot myself out of that cannon?" Izuku asks with a raised eyebrow. "I'm afraid that's the only way." Tenya reports. But all Izuku says is "nice!" scaring Tenya a bit. Before putting up more markers to find treasure keys.

"So this version of Deku is a bit of an adrenaline junkie." Ochaco laughs while also being nervous about the implications of what would happen next. Ida meanwhile agrees with his counterpart. "Though I'm also worried that he's the one coming up with these ideas as well!"

The raccoon makes his way down to a grotto area that was littered with a large number of ships and other wreckage Raleigh and his men had accumulated thanks to the storm machine. Eventually finding the key at the end of cargo ship.

"Look at all of that." Shoji says with a little gulp. Some of his classmates were equally wide eyed before remembering that there were at least 50 more ships that had been sunk and would be salvaged. "He has to be stopped." Izuku says with a slight glare towards the screen. And the rest of the students agree and mirror his glare.

A rather annoying challenge though came from using a special gun submarine to take out crabs and the treasure chests they were guarding. "That was kind of dumb. Please tell me there's something more challenging here." Izuku says after dealing with the crustaceans.

Flat looks were had at the stupid mission they were witnessed to. "Okay…. Were those just normal crabs, giant trained crabs, or anthro crabs?" Mineta asked with a tilt of his head. And no one could really come up with a suitable answer. Even Nezu didn't seem sure.

The last key he needs is hidden in a special library of the frog's. One that has trap floors that will reveal poison dart guns if stepped on. At least until Izuku comes up with the idea to jump in an old barrel that was sitting nearby. He sneaks around with that and gets past the traps.

"Izuku, if you hold still while in the barrel, I bet the guard won't be able to see you." Tenya suggests. Sly tries it out and finds that his friend was correct. Even when one shines a light on the barrel, he completely ignores it. Leaving him open for Izuku to take out. Even avoiding the searchlights and finding the key.

While some snorted at turtle Tenya's comments about sanitation, the rest were impressed at how the raccoon handled himself. "It kind of like that game….. some Gear?" Sen notes with a scratch of his head. Bondo speaks up next and says, "yeah that one with the spy guy! So maybe that would be more appropriate?"

Aizawa though was considering the thought of using things in the environment to hide himself during his own patrols. 'Or at least when trying to catch a villain off guard. It would do me some good. And Shinso too,' he thinks before making a mental note.

With all the key's gathered, Izuku was ready to be shot out of the cannon. He unlocks the piece of artillery in question before swinging it around and firing at the blimp. Sly crashes through a window as Raleigh addresses him.

"How delightful! We have a guest. The only problem is, I HATE UNINVITED GUESTS!" the frog croaks out. Izuku glares at the man and says, "listen Raleigh. Wipe out my family and steal what's mine? You'd better expect company."

"Yeah, now that I think about it….. why did they leave him alone and alive?" Nirengeki wondered aloud. Even the teachers seem stumped about the idea. Koda then puts forth, "maybe….. they didn't like the idea of killing a child?" A few agree with him, but Aizawa denies that thought. "If they are true villains, then they wouldn't care about that. Something else is going on."

The frog just makes an overdramatic apology before saying, "how sloppy of me not to finish the job! Obviously, we should have snuffed you out as well. So without further ado, let me make amends by what…. BLOATING TO GARGANTUAN SIZE! AND SQUASHING YOU LIKE THE INSIGNIFICANT BUG THAT YOU ARE!" Izuku has only one response to this. "Bring it on!"

Tsuyu grumbles before saying, "loud, rude, and disrespectful. Are we sure this isn't supposed to be Bakugo's counterpart?" And the ash blonde leaps to get at the frog girl. He is restrained and given detention. But he isn't alone as Tsuyu gets reprimanded for her comments as well.

Raleigh snarls before lashing out with his tongue to eat a bee. It then makes him swell up to try and crush Izuku. Hoping down from a high perch to squash the raccoon. He moves out of the way, but feels the platform shift a bit too much and has to leap to another. But the frog keeps on him. At least until he shrinks back down and leaves him open to a solid blow from Izuku's cane.

"Hey that can't happen to you can it Tsu?" Ochaco asks with some confusion. And the frog girl admits it wasn't possible for her to inflate like that. "Maybe its just something he can do in that universe?" Koda postulates.

But seeing the smack the raccoon Izuku gave the frog made everyone cheer a bit. Even Tsuyu. "Wouldn't it make more sense to keep hitting him? Or can't he hit the frog when he's expanded?" Tetsutetsu asked. Momo pondered for a moment before noting, "I doubt it would work. If his body is expanded like that, it could act like an airbag. So Sly has to wait until he deflates, as the air would be let out of the bag."

The villain shakes off the impact and retreats to eat another bee. Reswelling and trying to crush Izuku again. This time, the other platforms were sunk and Izuku had to maneuver around the small island until the time was right. Smacking the frog once more when he lost his size.

Some more cheers were had at Cooper whacking the frog upside the head again. "Little more difficult, but he made the most of the space he had." Jiro said with a nod. Izuku laughed as well before saying, "that might be something we could all use some training on. Given how strange some quirks are, we could fight an enemy that makes it hard to get to them."

Another two rounds await the young raccoon. With the next moment the platforms would sink and take Izuku into the water. Or leave him to be crushed after Raleigh landed. And then the frog would spin in a circle with his tongue out to whip Izuku. But the thief timed each of his jumps to avoid the tongue lashing. Giving the frog one last solid bludgeoning to his head.

"Hey Koda? Can raccoons swim? I'm pretty sure they can. But I guess this one can't. Maybe it's because it's a trained skill not an instinctive one?" some from 1-A question as they see Izuku flailing at one point when the platform sinks under him.

But there were laughs at the dodging of the tongue from the pirate frog. And said villainous amphibian was now dizzy from spinning. But also left wide open for one final bludgeoning from the raccoon thief's cane.

"Blast it all! You've beaten me! Well, gloat all you want Sly Cooper. You're no match for Rikiya "Muggshot" Katsukame, my villainous cohort in Utah. You'll see. Mesa City is so well guarded, a snake couldn't slither in without raising an alarms!" Raleigh says passing out.

Ochaco, Tsuyu, and Nejire were wide eyed hearing that name. But they weren't entirely surprised. "Guess it fits given he was a yakuza thug." Nejire says with her eyes narrowed. While Eri hid into Mirio's arms at hearing the name.

Nezu hummed before saying, "I saw the reports on the man. If this Muggshot is anything like him…. Then the young thief will have quite the physical opponent." All Might agrees and wondered how the nimble raccoon would face his next foe.

Sly glares down at the frog before leaping off to check more of the blimp. Finding the sections of the Thievius Raccoonus. The screen shifts to a recap of what happened after, as Sly monologues again.

"Raleigh's section of the Thievius Raccoonus held detailed instructions on how to perform my ancestor Rioichi Cooper's ninja spire jump." The image then shows a few actions of said Cooper as he leapt from point to point in a castle complex. "A technique he developed while sneaking into the thickly fortified castles of Japan."

"Rather than an international man of mystery, it seems like he's part of an international family of mystery." Kaminari says before taking a sip of his drink. The rest of the students though were impressed with the dexterity that this ancestor had. "Hey! Does this mean that Deku or Cooper guy is actually a ninja!?" Ochaco asks with some excitement. Which Izuku mirrored and wondered if he could learn similar techniques.

Izuku was then shown with his face shaded. Namely because he was hanging under a bridge to the complex. Provided by Melissa Fox. "Finding a way off Raleigh's boat got a little tricky with the untimely arrival of Inspector Fox. Who, failing to find me, busted Raleigh and his crew."

Snorts of laughter were had as the boat was swarmed by police, agents, and the fox in question. "Now that's perfect timing. Think it'll be a running theme or gag. Definitely. Wait doesn't that mean she's basically profiting or getting success thanks to a group of criminals?" the students think aloud while watching the scene unfold. All Might though has a small smile at seeing another version of his niece putting criminals away. 'Guess you get to be a front-line hero in some world's Melissa,' he thinks with a swell of pride.

A photo in a newspaper has Melissa posing with her gun. A disgruntled look as the headline reads, "Hot chick with gun busts amphibious yuckmouth!" Izuku and the gang didn't care, as they were proud of their accomplishment.

A few more laughs were had, but the girls seemed more upset about it. "They're only focusing on her looks. Well what else is new when it comes to the media. She doesn't seem happy about it. Would you be happy? Given the main target got away." The girls of the classes murmur this while watching the scene unfold.

"With the storm machine out of commission, boats found their way back onto the ocean. And the mystery of the Welsh Triangle faded from memory. My gang and I loped around England for a while. Enjoying the pleasant weather. And then headed back home. Excited for our next heist."

The image shows Izuku making off with a bag full of jewels from the Tower of London. While Tenya and Riki pose with a guard and get some pictures. And then the shot transitions to their hideout and the plans for the next caper.

Nezu nods and compliments the thieves on the good they did for stopping a murderous madman. "But stealing from the Crown is something I can't condone," the rodent says with a raised eyebrow toward the raccoon thief. Izuku lets out a small strained chuckle before wondering what his other self would face next. As the screen showed a countdown again and the audience went for refills and bathroom breaks.

Okay I was wrong. This was crazy long. That's my fault. I went with putting the prologue and the first episode together. Oh well. Hopefully this wasn't too much of a slog to read through. Please review!
