UA Multiverse Peek
Chapter 29
A Heroic Thief
I'm keeping up with this for now because it is fresh in my mind. While also being a bit easier to write. This will be shorter given it's only one chapter and no prologue. Aside from that, I'm considering something else. A few have asked for a villain Izuku story or alternatively Megamind. I've been thinking something else. Namely, The Bad Guys. But that's not important now. On with the show.
(No POV)
As the screen lit up once again, the students were murmuring about what Izuku Cooper would be facing next. "That guy was a buff perv, so maybe he'll have to take the guy down hard!" Ochaco said with a punch of her fist into her other hand.
Kirishima and a few others agreed and hoped to see a cool fight. But Tsuyu reminded them that Cooper was a thief. "He's not a fighter or hero the same way. So he'll probably have to beat his enemy a different way." Aizawa and Nezu agree while wondering what they raccoon would use to get to his enemy.
The screen cut to the gang's hideout with Sly admiring the collection of gear they recovered from Raleigh's base. "We're all set to head to Mesa City." Tenya said while adjusting his glasses. Riki meanwhile was playing a game before saying, "I've got the van tuned and fueled up. We're ready to go." The raccoon nods and looks to the map of the US.
A few snorted at seeing Sato's counterpart playing a game, but more were impressed that he had other skills. "Guess it makes sense he's the mechanic. Wonder if that'll come into play later? I doubt they'll get anything that could inspire him to add on to the van," a few 1-A students murmur. While Sato had a bit of pride at what could be more skills to contribute to his team.
The van goes over a hill at high speed before landing a bit roughly. But Izuku didn't mind as he was considering his next opponent. "It'd been a while since I'd been back in the US. Next up; the notorious Muggshot. Ruthless muscle of the Fiendish Five. What he lacked in brains, he definitely made up for it in brawn."
As he was thinking this, an image of the bulldog villain busting through a safe. Though instead of walking through it, he was using his knuckles and utterly massive arms to hold himself up. All while chomping on a cigar and glaring at the camera.
Eyes were wide upon seeing the dog villain busting through the wall. "That…. Is actually a pretty manly dog. At least physically." Kirishima admitted begrudgingly. Tetsutetsu agreed and asked Tsuyu, Nejire, and Ochaco if their version was like that. "I mean….. sort of? He was about that buff, and his arms were bigger. But I think a lot of that was due to his quirk." Tsuyu said with a tilt of her head.
"Turns out he wasn't always that way. He grew up as the runt of the litter. The neighborhood weakling." An image is shown of a much younger Muggshot who was being pushed around by a trio of older and bigger dogs. Kicking sand in his face and onto his candy before laughing at him as he cried.
"Aw! Not manly and not cool! Poor pup. Perhaps that is what pushes many others to becoming villains. Especially those with heteromorphic quirks," some of the students mull among themselves. With the girls wanting to at least give the puppy a new lollipop and a hug. And the boys tempted to punch out the other bullies.
The bully from their class though was sweating as he could just imagine those in his class comparing him to them. And while Izuku wanted to think otherwise, he still remembered and felt the sting of some similar attacks as a child.
Izuku continued with, "the only friends he could turn to were on the big screen." The theater showing a film called The Dogfather as the boy went in. "It was there he spotted his first gangster. And he knew instantly that's what he wanted to be."
The image shifted to show a montage of the little bulldog holding his arms up and weights beside him. Each shifting as he aged and his arms grew. "He spent the rest of his youth working really hard to get there. Fueled on his dreams of great power and respect."
The hardheads called out "manly" again before Tetsutetsu admitted some respect for the canine. "I don't like he went the villain route, but you gotta respect the work and gains he put in to get there!" Most of the audience agreed and Itsuka was one who admitted it wasn't too different from them.
"Yeah we have quirks, but he basically pushed himself to probably quirk levels of strength with work alone. Something to be impressed by." Izuku nodded while thinking about his own constant work to make himself stronger. All to prove his own bullies wrong. 'Too bad it's a villain that I feel this kinship with,' he thought slightly bitterly.
After showing the adult Muggshot, the trio of bullies were shown to be far smaller than him now. The bulldog cracking his knuckles as Izuku monologues with, "with enough perspiration, he realized that dream." And the trio of previous aggressors took powerful blows to their faces from the mobster dog.
"He'd become a hard boiled, street brawling, tough as nails gangster. Ensuring he'd never be picked on or pushed around ever again." As Izuku was thinking this, Muggshot was shown packing twin tommy-guns. Shooting all around him and up into the air with a howl.
Many in the audience winced at seeing the beatdown the bulldog gave his former tormentors. "Karma. It catches up with everyone." Tokoyami said at seeing a few of the dog's teeth knocked out by Muggshot's punch.
All Might though hummed and thought again about Izuku and Katsuki. 'They've mostly buried the hatchet. And young Midoriya doesn't seem to want to get payback. But I know deep down, he probably has some resentment. That's nothing compared to what young Bakugo has to accept.'
The other teachers meanwhile mirrored some of their students earlier thoughts. Including how this bulldog beefcake pulled himself up to the power to break down walls with his fists. "Something to respect about a person who perseveres enough to do that." Mic said before taking a sip from his drink.
A skyline is shown with a massive fire hydrant atop one building and Muggshot's eyes and monobrow watching over it all. "So, he's holed up in Mesa City eh? I've always wanted to go to that thriving American boom town." Sly thinks with a smirk and closing the case file.
The title card reads, Sly Cooper in: Sunset Snake Eyes. With dice settling in behind neon and desert shadows.
"Hm. Makes me think of Las Vegas. Still surprising that city is still around after the advent of quirks." All Might muses while the title card is dropped. And the students again feel like they were watching an American cartoon.
"Get ready pal." Riki says while driving up to the Mesa City gate. Once there, he whips around and the back doors fly open. Sly leaps out and heads for the gateway. Collecting some clues before climbing along the side of the gate. Looking out over a junkyard and….. a very quiet and dark town.
Eyebrows were raised at seeing the silhouette of the city. With All Might noting that it seemed far too quiet to be a gambling town. "Somethings off. Maybe…. Muggshot took over to take what he wanted from the city?" Aizawa shook his head and said, "that wouldn't explain him still being there. If he was just out to rob the city, then why would he stick around?"
Tenya contacted Izuku and said, "hey Sly! I thought you said Mesa City was going to be loud and busy, This looks more like a ghost town." Sly narrowed his eyes before noting, "something's happened. Where is everyone?"
"I don't know, but it's starting to give me the creeps! What do you say we take off?" Tenya said with a shiver in his shell. "And miss all the fun? Besides, I want to try that new move I got from Raleigh's section of the Thievius Raccoonus."
A few snorted at the turtle being scared or weirded out by the setting they found themselves in. "It seems Cooper-san is thinking much like you are Aizawa. But I think I know what is going on." Nezu notes while scratching his chin.
The students though were interested in seeing how the new move would be performed. "Think it'll be like he's just going to gently hop from point to point?" Kaminari asked while doing the stereotypical ninja pose. Kuroiro notes that it could be like that. "But mayhaps we shall see his greater strength of sticking to the shadows this way."
Tenya nodded before saying, "you mean the Ninja Spire jump?" Izuku confirmed before asking him to read the instructions again. "To landeth safely upon diminutive points, leapth lively and focus thine mind. With a spin, thou will findst thou can position thyself on the even the smallest of pinpricks."
Some of the students seemed confused or lost at the flowery and somewhat archaic way Tenya described how the move worked. "Why is the spin important?" Izuku asked and hoping his counterpart could pull off the move.
"Okay…. You sure?" Sly asked with a slight raise of his eyebrow. While also taking note of the blue sparkles he could see upon the points. "That's the rough translation I can give you." Tenya said with a shrug. Izuku returned it before focusing on the points before him.
He took a breath before double jumping a focusing on the point. And with a flourish and spin, he landed upon the pointed lamps with ease. Smiling as he was in a prime position to leap down and knock out a guard dog with a club before he knew what hit him.
"Ah! So that's how that intuition works!" Momo said while watching the raccoon prepare for his ascent. She describes it as knowing which spots could be leapt onto upon learning a skill. "Thus, as Izuku Cooper grows in his skill and knowledge of his family's moves, he'll be able to see more opportunities."
And the proof is shown when Cooper leaps from his perch with a flip. And with his eyes closed and a spin, he lands deftly atop the point he was aiming for. And Kuroiro applauded the young raccoon for his stealth at reaching the guard from above.
Izuku smirked while making his way through the junkyard and into what could have once been a proper part of the town. Gathering clues and busting up a few dogs and guard dogs.
"Okay is it weird to anyone else that there are sentient animals and just animals in this world?" Jurota asked with a tilt of his head. A few other students raised their hands, but more were of this mind. "I'm not really sure we should question it. I think it's just one of those things you….. just go along with." Mina said with a shrug.
Upon reaching a hanging crane, Izuku noted something strange. "What's with those lights?" he ask after bringing up his binocucom. Tenya narrows his eyes before explaining. "The latest in high tech security: electronic floor sensors. Step on them, and you're a goner."
Nezu notes the unusual security again. Saying, "that seems like an odd place to put a, probably expensive, security measure. Why have it in a junkyard?" Most of the audience agrees with him and wonder if it would be like getting hit by a taser or something worse.
Izuku lets out a slightly disgruntled noise before Tenya brings up the next point. "They're safe to walk on while flashing, but it also means their about to switch to a different sector." With the explanation given, Sly makes his way through the broken yet security filled subway car.
"Well at least the floors are somewhat easy to dodge." Ida notes while watching the raccoon make his way through the obstacle. Setsuna agrees and notes it wouldn't be much of a security measure against a few of them.
"I mean I can my parts float, Uraraka can do similar, heck even Mineta could use his orbs to get around." The purple perv preens a bit at the praise before noting the next obstacle.
He keeps making his way through the junk yad and guard dogs to make it to Mesa City. Having to steady himself in a car that was rocking side to side as lasers were moving within it. And leaping between electrified floors to reach the key at the end.
Mineta then says, "that would be more of a challenge though. Not just because of the lasers, but also the rocking." A few others agree and question what the best option to get past would be. "Hang on. Why are we looking for entry strategies when Raccoon Deku is a criminal?" Ochaco asked in some concern.
Once inside the city limits, Sly could see the blatant bragging that Muggshot seemed exude. With a large casino tower, topped by a fire hydrant and his name in neon. "This Muggshot certainly isn't shy. Okay, so we know he's here somewhere, but how are we supposed to find him? Mesa City is a big place." Tenya noted while looking at the feeds through the binocucom.
"Given that he's a bulldog….. it seems only reasonable to assume that he'd choose to live in a giant fire hydrant." Sly said while looking up at said addition. Tenya nods and agrees with the logic. "Now you just need to find a way to break into the building's base." Sly smirks before saying, "oh I'm sure I'll think of something."
A few faces were flat at seeing the name of a villain plastered in bold. "I know he's not supposed to be smart. But come on. That's beyond obvious." Mina noted with a facepalm. Ida meanwhile was facepalming at his other self and how he assumed the target wouldn't be in the fire hydrant.
After Izuku takes out a guard an announcement comes on over the loudspeakers. It was Muggshot first telling his cronies to let any one in to lose their money at his casino. "But I got a reliable tip that a cop snooping around the operation. So from now on, greet any visitors you see with a HAIL OF LEAD!"
The sheer number of flat faces would make you think they were all related to Cementoss. "Okay…. We already suspected that this guy was an idiot. But… I don't even know where to start." Jiro said with her face in her hand.
Aizawa and Mic both had annoyed grimaces, while Nezu and Midnight were both facepalming. All Might though noticed that last piece. 'Does that mean? Melissa!' he thought before a smile broke out over his face. And then worry about what would befall his niece in another world.
Izuku made his way to a side entrance. Walking through a parking lot before killing the lights and opening the door. Tenya called out and warned, "look out for those guards! Muggshot's got those machine gun toting dogs hunting like a pack!"
Izuku narrows his eyes and waits for the moment when the barrel and light turned away. Slipping past one dog and then behind a duo that were marching through the slot machines. And around another guard monitoring near the blackjack tables.
Kuroiro and a few other stealth inclined students complimented how the raccoon moved and timed his moments to avoid the guards. "Nicely done. I may fight from the shadows myself, but I'd say he could catch or take me out before I could capture him." Aizawa notes while leaning on his steepled hands.
At a bridge connecting the atriums, Sly had to time his movements to the floor. To avoid setting off alarms. After sneaking past some spotlights, he leapt up and over a bar that was being watched by a duo of Dobermans.
Once past though, he could see that Muggshot's casino was definitely NOT ready for visitors. There was a massive amount of water going through the games area and many of the chandeliers were fallen or sparking. But these made it easy for the thief to get over the hazard.
The teachers had to rub their eyes and shake their heads at seeing the wrecked sections and the river of what they were hoping was just a man made river. "What part of this place is even remotely ready for gamblers?" Midnight exclaimed while shaking her head.
The students didn't pay much attention to the gambling part, but Momo, Ida, Jurota, and Ibarra were also having moments where they'd want to bring Muggshot in on a few health violations. "I doubt any bribes would have been enough to let those slip by! The Health Department is sure to do justice here!" Ida exclaimed with a chop of his hands.
After slipping past another section of slots and an electrified bridge, Sly found what would have been the roulette section and craps tables. Timing his jumps to make his way across. Only to come upon some more which had electrification and then lasers across the boards.
"That seems like a really stupid place to have those measures." Izuku says with a tilt of his head. Most of the students agree, with Koda questioning if it was just because this all seemed like a game or cartoon show. "Maybe it's just to show how skilled Cooper is?" he asked while snacking on a candy bar.
Finally making it to the largest roulette wheel that held the key. "You have to time it to land on the green section of the wheel Sly! Three times to get the key." Tenya explains. It takes a bit of nimble maneuvering and careful timing, but Sly opens the top and gets the key.
Izuku shook his head and said, "again. Weird place for this kind of security." And all of the class agreed before reiterating Koda's point. "Still, well timed on all of those jumps and avoiding the security measure Midoriya. Or rather Cooper." Juzo acknowledged with a nod.
Once back outside, Izuku makes his way up and around the exterior. And then overlooks a track area. One where the van is now sitting. "Riki! What's going on down there!?" Sly asks in worry.
"Well I drove to this hotdog stand for a quick snack. And the next you know I'm getting challenged to a race by these gangster dogs!" Riki reports with a gulp. Sly asks if there was a key nearby, to which Riki acknowledges before noting the rules of the race. "It's all you man. Show 'em how it's done!"
Sato was surprised seeing his counterpart getting a bigger role, but he smiled at the confidence and encouragement Sly gave to his other self. "Let's see how good I actually am!" he said while rubbing his hands together. Some of his classmates chuckle at his enthusiasm, but they hope the hippo is up to the challenge.
Riki gives an excited affirmative and shifts the van out of gear as the light blinks. He keeps a tight grip on the gear shift, while narrowing his eyes on the light. Upon seeing it blink green, he quickly shifts into gear. Catching up to and passing the fourth-place dog easy.
"Great start! Let's see if he can keep up the momentum! Left that goon in the dust!" the students say as the race begins and Riki seems laser focused on his goal. The teachers also support the hippo and give some more subdued cheers.
He turns around the track and waits for his next moment. Drifting alongside the third-place racer and right into place to get ahead. As the first lap comes to a close, Riki finds himself getting pushed around a bit by the dog in second place.
A few of the students fist pump seeing Sato pulling up and around another racer and drift right into third place. "Looks like you really know what you are doing there." Shoji says with a pat on Sato's shoulder. He blushed a bit and hoped his other self could keep up the momentum. Only for him and a few others to feel uneasy at how the second-place opponent was doing anything to keep the hippo behind him.
The hippo looks back and sees that the one he past before is trying to box him in with the second-place racer. But right as they try to slam into him, Riki lets off the gas and his opponent slides into the rail before crashing into the fifth-place runner. He shifts up in gear again and uses a nitro boost to quickly pass his opponent and take second place.
A few were on the edge of their seats as it looked like Riki was about to get slammed into the side. Only to cheer when the getaway driver dodged one aggressor and then quickly overtook them to jump to second place.
"Well done indeed!" Nezu says with a clap. His fellow teachers agree, with Aizawa saying, "he stayed calm and rational in the moment. And was able to execute perfectly." Sato blushed from the praise while quietly wondering if he should learn to drive and maybe take some defensive driving courses.
Riki works to catch up to the last racer, boosting at the best straight paths he can. Until he's within the right range to finish the race in the last lap. With one boost to go into the drift, and then another after he shoved his opponent out of the way, Riki was on a perfect path to the finish line. "Great job Riki!" Sly congratulated as the hippo made his way to the hotdog stand and got the key.
Cheers and congratulations were given to the big lipped boy as his hippo self pulled a perfect set of drifts and boosts to win. With the students leaning with the turn as the van was going around it. And leaving the mobsters in the dust.
The pair met up later and Riki handed off the key. "You know what? I can do more than this. Tenya tracked down where another key was. I'll go on a run for it buddy!" Riki says before hoping back in the van and taking off to a different section of the city
"Wait Riki don't…. and he's gone. Tenya give me the location he was talking about. I'll make my way over there." Sly says. He goes back through the main front section of town and then over to find where Riki might be. Only to find a turret blasting station there.
Sato's pride drops a bit as he hears his other self getting too confident. Something Aizawa was quick to catch him on. "He's letting success get to him. It's far too early for that," the insomniac teacher said with a shake of his head.
Tenya apologizes and tells Izuku that he'll have to cover Riki with the turret. "He's already making a run for the key!" Tenya reports as Izuku get situated. Riki starts running through the sections of the city to get to the key. Only to be set upon by some of Muggshot's dogs. But Izuku has his back and blast them as fast as he can while Riki cowers.
Once atop some of the apartments, and Izuku clearing the guards, Riki collects the next key with some happiness and relief. "Here you go buddy. Sorry about that… but I just.." Sly put a hand on his friend's shoulder and said he did good. "But let me handle the rest from here, okay?" Riki nods before giving Sly a bear or hippo hug.
The students from 1-A clench their teeth or tap their feet in nervousness for their classmate's counterpart. Hoping that Izuku could keep him safe to the end. Though a few have a laugh at Riki's freakouts and panic moments while he runs through the buildings and to the rooftops.
"Thanks for the save Midoriya." Sato says with a thumbs up to Izuku. Who returns it before saying, "hey. Your other self got the job done and face off with some pretty scary things. And he can't sneak or is as mobile as Cooper is. So he did a good job too."
With the key's gathered, Izuku uses them and releases a car to careen into the front door of Muggshot's casino. Coming in front of a giant wall with Muggshot's face on it, Sly just has to make a comment.
"Would you look at that ugly mug?" he said with a shake of his head. Tenya though finds it fascinating. "My x-ray detection devices reveal that a secret elevator to Muggshot's penthouse is contained within that giant head."
Ida has a double spit take moment. First with how Sly broke into the base of the hotel casino. And then again with how his turtley counterpart phrased his opinions of the Muggshot head. "Okay didn't see that coming." Juzo commented. And when asked if he meant the elevator or Ida's double freak out, he just said, "both".
Izuku asks how they get in, and Tenya noted that there was a switch to call an elevator at the front desk. "But you'll need all of the treasure keys to get it." Sly gives an affirmative and makes his way around the dilapidated lobby.
"Again, what made that idiot even fathom that his casino and hotel were even remotely ready for business?" Mic asked with a shake of his head. The adults all agree, and a few of the students just remember how dumb their world's counterpart of the bulldog was. "Guess it makes sense. Though I wonder if this one is as big of a filthy pervert." Tsuyu said while munching on some popcorn.
First by following a path and then maintenance elevator that puts him right in front of Muggshot's fire hydrant penthouse. He has to maneuver a bit of construction equipment, but he breaks the tempered glass with a wrecking ball and gets the next key. Though not before getting called out by Muggshot.
Izuku shrugged and said, "well it was only a matter of time really. If he didn't know I was there, I'd be questioning a lot more. Though I'm a little worried about how my counterpart is going to fight that wall of meat. Perhaps he could.. mumble."
As Izuku starts trying to piece together how Sly could defeat his foe, the others laugh at how the raccoon causes more destruction to the villain's building. "I know he's not a hero, but should he really be doing all of that damage?" Shoda wonders aloud.
Izuku then makes his way through the back alley and rooftop sections that seemed to be either under construction or destruction. "Well this isn't too dangerous. Hope I don't have to deal with anything too extreme." Sly notes while climbing a ladder. Though Tenya is disgusted by how filthy everything is.
A few of the more hygienically minded hero students also shiver upon seeing the piles of trash and other signs of grime that comes with back alleys. Though Jiro snorted at Izuku's comment. Saying, "I wonder if he realizes he just put up a major red flag?"
After getting atop a roof, Sly is surprised to see Carmalita Fox staring him down from a different rooftop. "Well, well, well. Look who just walked into my crosshairs. Sly Cooper!" Melissa says while training her gun on him.
"Bout time you showed up Miss Fox. Was getting worried about you. Thought you took a wrong turn back in Paris." Sly says with a coy smirk. The fox gives him a look before saying, "the only one making wrong turns is you Sly. I'd suggest you surrender before I paralyze you with my good friend, the shock pistol."
"And there's the pay off." Jiro notes with a raised eyebrow. Izuku lets out a strained chuckle while the others also take note of some of the….. tension between the pair. And how Cooper is just flirting with the officer tasked with arresting him.
But Izuku can't help but to snark about that. "Now see a girl who's best friend is a firearm's got issues. A little dinner, a little dancing and I think I can help you out," he says with a cocky crossing of his arms.
Melissa though gives him a flat look before saying, "hm, sounds romantic. As long as you don't mind dining in jail." Izuku just shrugs and shakes his head before saying, "nah I hear the service is lousy." Carmalita keeps her sight trained on Sly before saying, "once I catch you, you'll know for yourself!"
All Might's eye twitches for a second, but he thinks about it again and realizes….. 'Yeah no. I don't really have a problem with this. Might be just what both of them need really,' he thinks quietly. While a few of the students let out some snorts of laughter. Shinso though points out, "yeah, it's not like your other self has a quirk like mine. Talking to her isn't going to do you much good."
She then fires off a shot and Izuku dives out of the way. He maneuvers from rooftop to rooftop, narrowly evading many of Carmalita's shots. Making good use to the ninja spire landings to hop across the various lights and antenna above the city.
Those from class 1-A are all nervous at seeing their classmate dodging bullets and avoiding the police. But a few from 1-B (Monoma) were quick to point out that he'd be fine. "It's fairly clear that he's the main character in this play," the copy user said bitterly. And he was chopped for his comment.
After a few more close calls as Carmalita shoots some old windows and extends the destruction of what might a construction zone. Finally sending her away as she shoots at him from a Muggshot balloon.
Breaking the treasure case and decoupling it from said balloon. "I'm gonna hunt you down Cooper! You can't run forever!" she shouts while holding onto the balloon as she floats away.
Laughs were had at the officer floating away on the breeze thanks to Izuku breaking it free from it's mooring. Even All Might was chuckling, while still being worried about his niece. Bakugo though is just annoyed.
"He may not be able to run forever, but fox bitch clearly can't catch Deku!" But upon saying that, he feels the furious glares coming from Izuku and All Might. And he has to excuse himself for a few minutes.
Izuku makes his way again to a different set of back alleys. Avoiding all kinds of security and goons to get to the last treasure key. Hidden away in another destroyed building. "That's all of them. Time to take care of that wall of muscle." Sly thinks aloud before heading back to the lobby.
He unlocks the lobby elevator and a large tongue comes out of the big Muggshot head. Izuku takes it up and sees the buff boss himself lounging in his huge chair. "What? My boys have been yapping about some big mysterious dude running around cracking skulls and… ha! And this is it?! You're the monkey wrench in my operation? Some scrawny rat with a stick?"
The hard heads compliment Sly for the readiness to take down the big villain. And a few others are interested to see how he'll face off with a villain who looks at big as All Might. Though some of that is dampened by seeing the elevator to the penthouse open up. "So, do I make a deep -mbuph!" Mineta started before Sero taped his mouth shut.
Upon reaching the penthouse, the heroes all narrowed their eyes at the sight of the villain. While Eri ducked her head into Mirio's arms. Jurota is quick to note Muggshot's dismissive attitude toward Sly. "Then again, someone who built themselves up that much for payback might not expect much from what they used to be."
Muggshot looks closer before saying, "hey. Wait a second. I've seen that stick before!" Izuku scoffs before saying, "maybe when my father knocked your block off with it." The bulldog was wide eyed before saying, "your father!? Wow! You're a Cooper? You know that Thingus Raccamgoocus had a lot of nice pictures but way too many big words."
A snort of laughter was let out by Ochaco and Tsuyu at the stupid way Katsukame described the book he stole. "Well they did note that he was brought on for muscle alone." Nezu said with a flat look. Aizawa rolls his eyes while Mic and Midnight chuckle.
"So you don't mind just handing it over." Sly says with a raised eyebrow. Muggshot scoffs before saying, "wha, what are you kidding me?! You break into my place, steal my stuff, trash the joint! I feel transgressed and violated! Let's rock!"
"That is!... actually a decent point really. I can't defend my other self here." Izuku says with a shrug. A his classmates chuckle at this and Ida is one to say, "yes even if he is running an illegal or less than legal operation, it is still something he built himself. So it's no surprise he is opposed."
The muscle of the Fiendish Five uses his massive arms and knuckles to walk forward before drawing his guns. Howling while shooting up into the air amidst his crystal garden. But Sly sees the way he can use this.
Between dodging Muggshot's bullets, he spins some mirrors to focus the lights. Before tricking the muscle brain into the center where the focused light heats up his guns enough that they explode in his hands.
Ochaco grips Izuku's hand as his counterpart is leaping and dodging the bullets fired his way. The boy barely notices as he's also concerned about what the raccoon was going to do next. Though he was surprised by the use of the crystals and light.
Nezu claps and notes that Sly had come up with a good plan. "Indeed! Quite the magnifique way to defeat this rather garish foe Midoriya!" Aoyama says with a flourish and pose pointing at the green teen.
"My beautiful gun is destroyed! Good thing I got a spare upstairs." Muggshot says with a slight sniffle in wincing as he makes his way to the elevator. Sly takes a second one and repeats the process. Though he had much less ground to work with, he still caused the guns to explode and do damage to the bulldog.
All Might bites his lip while watching the raccoon moving through the space. Feeling a touch of panic as he leaps across a wide gap to avoid a few more bullets fired his way. The students are no better with some on the edge of their seats and Sly back or side flips over the bullets heading his way.
After this, Muggshot was standing atop a massive crystal chandelier. This time, Sly has to time his spire jumps to hide behind some of the mirrors and spin them to focus back into the crystal and up towards Muggshot. With one last whack, the concentrated light hits the bulldog for another explosion.
"Hey maybe you could use your own laser in a similar way Aoyama!" Izuku notes as his counterpart beat the villain. Reminding him and Torru that they did work well together and he did have all of those mirrors in his room. "Hm.. perhaps mona mi. Perhaps."
Muggshot is laying on his back groaning as Izuku jumps onto the platform. "This is impossible! A little pipsqueak like you, beating a big strong bruiser like me?! It ain't right! You want all of that stupid picture book? You're gonna have to go down to Haiti and cross paths with Mz. Tomie Ruby. And then believe you me, you don't wanna be you!"
Itsuka smirks before saying, "it's not always the strongest person who always wins. Sometimes it's about the strongest wills. Just like you All Might." The former number one smiles and agrees with the girl. "That was what pushed me. And it seems this young raccoon has a strong will of his own."
Nezu though was concerned about the name of the next villain. 'If I'm not mistaken…. Oh dear. Hm. Perhaps I should call Hawks later and ask about this,' he thinks as the video goes on.
Once he was done talking, Sly gave the wall of muscle one good hit with his cane. He then checked through the safe and found the pages he was looking for. Monologuing in his mind as he makes his way out.
"Muggshot's section of the Thievius Raccoonus, contained an entry from my gunslinging ancestor Tennessee Kid Cooper." The page shows the thief in question. Packing a revolver that had the signature hook of the Coopers, smoking a cigarette, and had a bag of loot over his shoulder.
Ida's face drops a bit before noting, "so this one was clearly an outlaw. And one using a gun. Not willing to bet that he'd be using blanks." Izuku has a complicated look on his face but he is also curious on what this ancestor could do.
"His specialty was the rail walk and rail slide. Moves perfected over a lifetime of crime in the old west." The photo shows the raccoon in question deftly walking across ropes and lines like it was nothing. The rail sliding possibly fast enough to keep up with a train.
Eyes were a little wide seeing how the gun toting raccoon made his way along tight ropes, and even more so seeing the outlaw grinding along the rails faster than a train. Something that made Ida's eye twitch a bit as he had to work his way up to get to that speed.
Sly was shaded while watching the returned Carmalita Fox arresting Muggshot's goons with the rest of the police. "Getting out of town proved to be a little more challenging than getting in." The fox in question snarling at seeing another of Izuku's calling cards.
"Having just missed us, Inspector Fox went for the next best thing. Dragging the canine steroid case off to jail." The image shows Carmalita with her arms crossed, standing on Muggshot's head. As the newspaper headline reads. "Hot stuff with a badge collars canine criminal!"
Annoyed groans were let out by the women in the audience at how the newspaper described Melissa. And a few of the pervs had to go change their shorts when they uttered things like 'wish I was under that boot' or similar.
Only to be given glares from Izuku and All Might that made them think they were up against monsters. Especially since All Might was in his muscle form.
Muggshot's penthouse fades out as Sly comments, "that was the end of Muggshot's gambling empire. Mesa City's citizens soon returned home. While me and the boys, well we enjoyed the rest of our stay in America. Before returning to Paris. Rady to plan our next mission."
Izuku is shown stealing the stars off of the Walk of Fame. While Tenya and Riki look like normal tourist to the city. Complete with the hippo eating an ice cream, with cameras around his neck. And Tenya wearing star sunglasses and looking at a map of the town to find the next sight.
Most of the audience applauds the Cooper Gang for dealing with the villain and saving the homes of those removed. And then they have a laugh at the stereotypical tourist looks Riki and Tenya had. Though All Might seemed a touch annoyed at the raccoon stealing the stars on the Walk of Fame.
After the screen faded to black, the audience restocked before settling in again. Though not without Izuku quickly taking down a few notes on the skills he'd seen his other self using. 'It's not quite like using a quirk, but that intuition he has could be reflected in my own skills. Just need to make it work.'
I gotta admit, it wasn't easy to come up with a good female character I could make into Mz. Ruby. So I went with…. A more disturbing one that I felt fit. You could say she's the result of her marriage, but I'm not so sure the lady was that much of a good person period. Least of all for the way she treated her son.
Anyway, aside from that (and yes I know you're all waiting for Dragon Deku 3) I've got a few other film in mind to do even just some short scenes from. Maybe not the entire movie. Namely, The Bad Guys and using the opening, Good Tonight, and the Crimson Paw breakout. As well as say The Expendables with Izuku as Stallone's character, with Bakugo as Statham's character. Anyway, please review!
