Chapter 32: Keeping Secrets And Meeting The Fashionista
It was a little over 5:30 PM and me and my mom were in the living room spending our time together for the rest of the day. If my friends from Primp Town were here, we could've been having a good time. But for now, it was just the two of us.
We were currently playing Pac-Man on the tv while eating tacos. We were taking turns with me watching mom playing… and let's just say… Uhh…
"OH MY…"
Yeah… she's angry. But this only happened twice. She's getting the gist of it now, but the controls keep messing her up. I'm gonna be honest, I hate those controls so much. It makes you screw over so much, you are going to have a hissy fit all day until you start to witness a massive headache.
Fortunately for the both of us, we were fine. I was doing so well. I messed up a couple of times on my end. My mom… she was doing ok, it's just a bunch of mistakes she committed.
But back to where we were, my mom is on her last life due to messing up just like she did right here. I couldn't help myself but laugh at her. It's just too funny to see her reactions.
"It's just hilarious to see you react to stuff like this." I said to my mom.
"Oh really? Because at this point I'm about to stop playing video games. Like forever." Mom said.
"I mean, you're doing pretty good. I'm surprised you knew everything from when this game was created."
"I actually didn't play this back when I was young. Some of my other friends told me about this game and I didn't even know what the hell I was doing. It was a shame."
"It's kinda rare to see each other do this, you know. We would normally focus on our parts on what we do."
"What we do?"
"Yeah, I read books as usual. You on the other hand, like to make..."
"Damn it!" Mom said as we saw her lose her life.
"...to make money to become wealthy, like Raffina of course."
"I'm only making money for us. I don't need to do this for another group for anything."
"Yeah, I know."
"Otherwise, how would you think I would feel if I didn't feed you, buy you new clothes, or all these other things?"
"G-Guilty?"
"I would definitely feel blameworthy for myself if I didn't get you what you desire the most at age 16." Mom said.
"It's ok, mom. I'm not gonna be mad at what you do wrong." I said. "It's just… things take time. Not always, but sometimes."
"*sigh* Thank you, Kaze." Mom said with a smile.
"You don't need to thank me. After all, you did this for me."
"Yes. I get it. I'm trying to help you achieve what you want to do more in your life."
"Yeah. But… you don't need to push yourself to help me get what I want. Don't you want to achieve your own dream of what you want to do?"
"Yes, but it's going to take a lot of concentration so I have to do my part in order to do that, which is working. Even then, you'll see my wish come true. Just like how yours came true." Mom said with her hand on my shoulder.
"I see."
"I know you still have a long way to go on making yourself a wonderful magic user, but… I just want you to be cautious. You noticed a lot of movies and books where characters were finding themselves in danger, right?"
"Yeah. I hear what you are saying."
"I don't want to lose you, Kaze. You were always fine every 365 days. I don't want you to end up being in danger."
"I'll be ok, mom. Don't worry. I got friends that will always come to my aid when I badly need it. Even Darius, Zack… Scarlett, Alexis and Kris. They'll always protect me. And I'll protect myself too."
I then went silent for a bit. Because I then figured something else out.
"You know, mom, I know this is going to sound crazy, but… what if all seven worlds merged together?"
…
"Th-That… I don't know. It'll literally feel like we are going to start wreaking havoc." Mom said, looking a little nervous.
"True, but everyone here will be psyched by the characters from their own dimensions. Although the one disadvantage for all of us is of course havoc. But if I somehow run into my Primp Town friends, then I'll gladly introduce them to my three new friends here."
"Yeah. It'll be a heartwarming reunion to see your Primp Town friends again. But aside from that, this is your dream, Kaze. I'll be fine on my own. I want you to make history that will forever be written. Something that most people, even from around the globe has never done before."
"I'll try to do the best I can, but it's going to require a lot of steps to take. Or rather, Lunia might guide us through the mission. Even though she gave us a little bit of what we need so far."
"That's great to hear from my little girl. Anyway, it's your turn. My taco is getting cold." Mom said as she passed me the controller.
"Oh alright. I guess all that talking helped cool it down."
Side note everyone. We never celebrated taco tuesdays before. We only eat tacos when it comes to watching soccer.
*NIGHTTIME*
We never had this much fun before after spending almost 3 hours playing PAC-MAN and we decided to call it a day and get ready to sleep.
Normally, I would get in my own bed to sleep, but just for this one…
"Hey, mom. Can I… sleep with you tonight?" I asked as I walked into her room.
"Sleep with you? You're 16. You can handle sleeping alone, can't you?" Mom asked.
"Yeah yeah I know. I just… I want to sleep with you just this one time so that you can have somebody to sleep with."
…
"*sigh* Alright. Whatever makes you happy then." Mom said with a smile. "I wanted to snuggle with you any— never mind, I'm not gonna say anything because you're gonna bring that part up again."
I then laughed at my mother's response because of me telling her what I said last night about having a crush on me. I then sat on her bed.
"It's crazy how you are falling for things, mom. It's a rare sight coming from you." I said.
"H-Heck, you fall for things too. Even from me. Raffina on the other hand always loves to tease you. And to be honest, I'll give her credit for that."
"O-Of course you would bring up that…" I said as I looked away from her while looking annoyed.
"There's no way you are escaping me on that remark."
"*sigh* Speaking of Raffina, I really wish to know how she and my other friends, Amitie, Arle and Ringo are feeling. I know two of my friends have phones, but I forgot to give them their number so we can chat. *sigh* Hopefully they don't end up in a second wave with Satan and Ecolo."
"Weren't they just here for that red stone?" Mom asked.
"Yes. I'm just worried. A little."
"Why? You sealed the deal on them."
"Of course I did, but… the thing is, they still work for this mastermind and their quest for revenge might get even worse than ever."
"I'm sure they'll be fine. I can tell by the looks of your friends' faces that everything is going to be ok. You girls have witnessed this event before so I'm sure your side of the sequence will help dig deeper to what we're looking for."
"You are right as always. The one side of me thinks otherwise, but for now it's like I'm watching them from under the clouds believing that they are definitely fine."
"But these next few days are a new dawn. Your friends, Blue… who were the other two boys?"
"I think they were named… Lucas and… Xavier."
"Yeah…"
"And it definitely does sound like a new dawn. Even though we never got the chance to chat although our first appearances were two days ago. It really does sound like I'm chatting with my friends back in Primp Town. Ok, maybe I should give Primp Town and my friends a rest for now. I'm referring to this so many times now."
"To be honest, I believe you should. I know you miss them, but now is time to step into a newer event."
"This is also like coming back to square one. But it still feels like a sequel."
"That's true. But the thing is, you always have a pure heart and everyone likes you that way. You don't need to think about the past and say "Should I be the Kaze that I was when I was young?". Everyone saw you as if you needed somebody to talk to but you managed to wipe the friendliness from other people all because of your goals that you wanted to accomplish. But now that you slightly turned over a new leaf, I think it's time that you start to build your relationships higher. Although you don't feel too comfortable doing it…"
"No it's not that. It's just… I don't want to feel too hyper about it. It really takes a lot of steps for me to prove myself that I can handle respect seriously."
"And respect is just… meaningful. Not only to you but for the entire world. Sometimes, people want to be alone, people might want to be talkative to other people. It all depends if they are really into it or not. So you don't need to feel kinda wrong for not making so many friends. It would be impossible to make… thousands of them anyway because they have other ideas on what they would do as they age."
"I see. Everyone from school noticed how I didn't attend to say a word to them all because of me having to focus on what is needed for myself. Hence the dream that I always wanted."
I looked at my hands for a bit to understand the feeling.
"It's still crazy that you wanted to make this choice." Mom said to me.
"I know. It's… I really wish nobody sees who I really am. Not that anything really happened to you or me. I wanted to protect myself and this was the only thing I could think of."
"You know Dad will always come to us when we're in danger right?"
"I know how he is. But again, I would definitely love to be a secondary, like his backup. He doesn't need to push himself hard."
"I know, but he loves you and so do I. I just… don't want you creating mischief or intervening with other people's businesses, especially when there's something physical. I really don't want you hurt. You're my only daughter that I adore so much."
"Yeah. I understand… but will both of you be fine?"
"100 percent."
"Alright. It feels like Friday and Saturday were back-to-back days where I started making friends. It's a big accomplishment."
"It definitely is! I'm kinda excited that you'll interact with people that have interest in you. Now you'll be like mommy."
"I-It's kinda embarrassing when you put it like that." I said while blushing.
"I kinda said it on purpose. But still, at least you'll know who to talk to if you are feeling kinda bored."
"Ok. I guess those three shouldn't be a problem."
"*yawn* I'm going to sleep. Turn the light off for me."
I went up, turned off the light and came back to Mom's bed in a flash. It's been a while since I've slept with her.
…
…
W-What?! I'm not a child anymore! Don't get the wrong idea! Of course I want to sleep in my own bed, but I still want to be with her just in case something happens. It's the truth.
"Alright, have a goodnight sleep." Mom said to me as she closed her eyes and went to sleep.
"Y-You too."
…
…
…
So… I'm just thinking. What do my friends from Hyperdrive City use to fight? I'm a little concerned because… I get that they transform, but how should I know that they are powerful? They must have something that they can fight with.
…
…
…
I wonder if I should ask Lunia first before going deeper. Just getting straight to the point by asking them about what they use to fight ain't right. I gotta take it step by step. Maybe I'll figure this out another time.
*NEXT MORNING*
"Alright. I'll pick you up later, ok?" Mom asked.
"Ok. Good luck out there." I said as I got out of Mom's car.
After several minutes of chatting last night about my new friends from here and Hyperdrive City, my mom decided to drop me off at the library so that I can get a chance to meet up with my three friends. It's kinda odd that I met up with Blue not only at the library but outside too where we were at the park. And I've also found it curious where she interacts with Lucas and Xavier at the same time. I wonder if it must've been that she didn't have anyone else to talk to since she was lonely. That's my guess. But I don't really want to talk about her business that much since we've only met one time.
With that being said, I entered the building and there was… surprisingly not that many people here even though it was open like an hour ago. I know it's a public library but still… I wonder what's going on.
At least the tables are empty. I have a book for me to read anyway to keep me privacy.
I went to one of the empty desks and started reading my book.
…
…
…
Only for about 17 minutes or so until…
"Kaze. Am I surprised to see you here." I heard Ms. Lauren say from about several yards to where I am.
"Hello. Yeah, Mom went to pick up some stuff so she dropped me off here."
"Oh. I wasn't expecting to see her do that for you in a time like this." Ms. Lauren said with a sweatdrop.
"She still thinks that I'm still sweet and innocent, so she lets me do what I want… although I'm reading a book right now."
"I see. How far did you read?"
"I only got to chapter 9. It was really interesting to read so I had no intention to stop."
"I see. Well, I promise it's going to get better if you keep on reading it."
"Well… *giggle* I don't want to rush myself."
"There's no need to rush. I'm just telling you. It'll be more spellbinding as you keep progressing through."
Something came into my mind that I haven't even told Ms. Lauren in which… I didn't want to think about it but now I do.
"I see. Hey, I want to ask you something." I said.
"Oh? Go ahead. I'm listening."
"When we left on Friday, the day that we met you at the library, I heard that you and Mom were friends back in Middle School. Was that true?"
…
"Y-Yes it was true." She answered as she grabbed a chair towards me. "I first thought of her as sarcastic and not talkative towards me but when we communicated, she was… dramatically respectful. She told me that she just moved here and never knew that many people so I had to go easy on her."
"Oh… because I was curious. Mom told me the story about your relationship with each other. I know she doesn't want me speaking secrets about the both of you."
"No it's ok. I'll tell you. So did she mention something about our healthy relationship in middle school?"
"Mhm." I said and nodded.
"Ok. So yeah, everything she mentioned was true. I introduced her to some of my friends here. You know who their names are?"
I didn't want her to dig deeper, but ok.
"Well, I know one. But I forgot the others."
"It's fine. Their names were Sally Matthews, Miranda Booker, and Luna DeShields."
"Ah. That's right."
"It was us five who were together in that school. Only for a short bit of time because of a scary incident where our school was shut down due to the blaze that occurred."
"Yeah I totally remember that."
"It was shocking. To me." Ms. Lauren said in a sad look.
"I do feel bad for you." I said with the same look.
"Fortunately, we were able to go to the school that we wanted to go to. And reunite with each other. It was a gigantic miracle for all of us. I almost teared up from this."
"You really wanted to see my Mom, huh?"
"I could've felt lonely without her. Not only her, but my childhood friends. I'm more reliable to them."
"I see."
"I'm curious to know why you asked."
"Well your relationship seemed familiar to someone that I knew. But it was completely different from how you started your relationship."
"Oh, is it?"
"Well… I have a picture on my phone if you want to see."
"Ok… go ahead. I would love to see it."
I pulled out my phone and scrolled through my pictures until I saw the one that I took. I looked at it for a few seconds.
These four. Gosh, Do I miss them.
Then I showed the picture to her.
"These were my very first friends that I met about one or two weeks ago. Shocking news. I actually went to another dimension. Like another world."
"You went to another dimension? How did that happen?"
"My mom… well…"
Dang it. I haven't even asked my mother how she found an apartment for me. I'll have to cut to the chase.
"She actually bought an apartment for me so that I could learn how to use magic. I was playing a puzzle game where you have to line up four jelly blobs in order to attack your opponent and that's what I was doing. I was really an ace at it for some reason."
"Ok. So then who are these four girls that you are showing me."
"So… the one with the orange hair is named Arle, the blonde girl with a hat on her head is named Amitie, The one with red hair is named Ringo. And the one who has beautiful hair and looks like she may be a wealthy person is named Raffina. She was the first person that befriended me."
"I see. So you had no friends to begin with and since you went to the other dimension, there were other people that have taken a liking to you. It's a little bit strange to say the least, but at least you have others to get in touch with."
"Yeah. To be honest, I never even thought about this photo for a while because of some certain things going on and I never noticed that it was just literally there."
"Oh yeah. That reminds me… one of the co-workers here told me about you. She mentioned that you needed someone to talk to since you had no friends after your arrival back in the United Kingdom."
So she figured it out all by herself?
"Wow, um… I never even expected that in the first place."
"So you two definitely know each other?"
"On Friday, yes. It was just me and my mother chatting until "she" appeared to us and we introduced each other formally."
"So she was being careful this whole time."
"Careful?"
"N-Nothing. Just talking to myself. W-Well, I didn't want to waste time but if you want, the co-worker and other people are on the beanbag chairs talking to them."
"I can't intrude into their conversation?"
"No, silly. You met them right? They'll be happy to see you."
"O...kay. I wanted to see them anyway. Thank you."
I then got up from my chair and started walking around to see where my friends are at. By the way, the reason I was referring to "she" is because I knew that someone that Ms. Lauren was talking about. I just met her on Friday from bumping into each other with the books that she dropped. She told me that she was working here so I definitely know that person. It's still a shocker how things are changing up quickly now that I'm back in the United Kingdom. Personally, I never thought that I started to earn respect from many people that I do not know. But… something tells me one thing though.
I have a weird feeling that I'm starting to become more likable nowadays. Although I want to focus on myself and not on everyone else. Even though I was brought back here with dark magic. But… I don't know anyone else to know I have dark magic. Because the news is going to trend very quickly. Even though Thanos is gone. Let's just hope… I keep my true colors to myself for whenever I'm ready. Because other people are going to swarm towards me to find out my powers. And I was doing pretty well on that back in Suzaran City.
"Whenever I am thinking about Thanos, I am thinking of them as the mastermind." I heard Lucas's voice up ahead which signals I'm getting closer.
"I would still say the thing, but even then, I'm still more concerned about what he is actually doing here. Or what he is here for." I then heard Blue's voice.
"It's still crazy. I wanted to see him in real life, but it's literally bogus that he left." Then Xavier's voice.
"Considering what he was doing all this time, I still have a hard feeling that something might happen to all of us." Blue said.
"Nothing really is going to happen I predict. I think it was just something that was really important to him. No mistake." Lucas said.
"*sigh* It's really unexpected to notice these rumors about fictional people coming to Liverpool this year. Although I've only seen one so far. At least Thanos is gone."
"I mean, did you really think that he was going to take over this country like an emperor?" Xavier asked.
"No. I'm just… I'm just hoping for the best that he's not going to do anything evil. Of course I know how he is, but still."
"He's still not gonna be a bother to you at the very least." I said as I walked them after hearing their conversation.
"Kaze?"
"Oh, Kaze. What's up?" Xavier greeted.
"Hi, Kaze. How is it going?" Lucas asked.
"I'm doing fine. I heard Ms. Lauren told me all about you." I said to the three.
"You received word from our librarian?" Xavier asked.
"It was probably because of me gathering info from Ms. Sparr about her mother being childhood friends and how she recognized Kaze in the first place." Blue said.
"Right." I said.
"Anyway, how do you know that he's still not gonna cause harm to me, Kaze?"
"He was only here because he was finding the stone, not just to hunt you down. He was primarily looking for the stone that is in this world. I, on the other hand, managed to place the one that I showed you on Friday into a much safer place so that he doesn't go looking for it."
"Dang, he has infinity stones he can use and now he's wanting more stones. Unbelievable." Xavier said while shaking his head.
"I don't think he was keeping the stones for himself.
He's actually trying to… complete an objective for someone. I don't want to go through the whole details because I may not be ready just yet to go over them."
"Complete an objective?" Lucas asked.
"That's really… strange." Xavier said, looking a little lost. "He is an antagonist. Don't get me wrong. I'm just
saying it in general. It's just… man, even then, I would definitely be interested in hearing his story of coming here. This is basically like referring to someone moving to another country with lots of money in order to survive."
…
"W-Well… I kinda see where you're coming from, Xavier." Blue said with a sweatdrop.
"Trust me, Blue. I ain't lying. My history is on point."
"Ok, as long as you're not spreading fake rumors, then I believe what you're saying."
"But yeah… Thanos coming for only the other stone and not the red stone that you had. This is kinda mysterious." Lucas said.
"So are you getting everything sorted out? Nothing broken?" Blue asked me.
"That's right. Me and my mom, who is currently outside, are working on this situation for the time being but it's going to take a whole lot of processing so we could figure out who is the mastermind of all of this. Although you were thinking that Thanos is the mastermind."
"Well, that's great to hear."
The reason why I didn't want to explain that I went to another dimension with my mom is because they are going to bombard me with questions. I know they are my friends and I would definitely be interested to tell them, but I don't think I'm comfortable telling them what it's like there. Besides, Lunia wants the dimension to be kept as a secret so I have to leave it at that for now.
…
…
…
Unless… I'll have Blue keep it a secret for me. But I just got to wait at the right time.
"Alright, I want to grab some fresh air. You coming along, Kaze?" Blue asked as she got up from her bean bag.
Or rather… I could do that right now while I'm outside.
"Uh… S-Sure. I'll tag along." I said with a sweatdrop.
"Ok great."
"We still gotta go to work in 20 minutes, y'know?" Xavier asked.
"I know, Xavier. I'll be back around that time." Blue said.
"So where are you heading to? The park?" Lucas asked.
"It's… the only place I could get fresh air from. It's not like I'm going to be scattering around the area."
"It's sunny outside so I guess things should be a problem." Xavier said.
"Alright we'll be back. Come on, Kaze." Blue said as she wanted me to follow her.
"Ok, sure."
It would've been us four doing this, but oh well.
We were both given permission from Ms. Sparr to go outside to get some fresh air until It's time for Blue to go to work. This may be the first time that I'm doing this with a real person too. I never had history in my mind, but it's actually true.
"I'm actually shocked that not only you knew about the stones, but you knew what Thanos was trying to do." Blue said.
"I never knew what was going on in the first place." I said. "I only figured that something bad was going to happen with the other dimension that I went to. It was shocking that I was encountering a lot of things. Few are so much to deal with."
"Did you get any more information on these other stones?"
…
"Well I'm glad you asked that because I wanted you to keep it as a secret for me."
"A secret?"
"I don't feel comfortable telling this to other people because if I blurt out all the important details of why Thanos was here all this time, social media is going to trend this extremely fast. And mostly, if I'm not mistaken, all agencies will take part in this, and I actually don't want them to know about this."
"Wait. Why?"
…
…
…
"Because I need to not break a promise for someone I know from another dimension. She knows entirely what's going on around here." I said confidently.
"Y-You went to another dimension?!" Blue asked, looking shocked.
"Yup. But it's a whole new dimension. It'll remind you of science fiction."
"Science fiction?"
"It's a futuristic dimension. Like I said, she knows what's going on. That's why I'm only asking you to keep this a secret for me so that I don't get bombarded with so many questions regarding how Thanos got away with the orange stone and what might actually happen to this world and all other worlds that may take part in this."
…
…
"I understand. I'll keep this as a secret. Seems you're going undercover I presume."
"Undercover? What do you mean?" I asked, looking a little confused.
"You don't know what undercover means? It means that you are secretly doing work for like… a secret organization or a community. Something like that."
"Oh… I see. Yeah, that's what… I'm currently doing."
"So you really are gathering info all by yourself. I'm really impressed at what you are doing."
"Th-Thank you. I never did this before but I'm working hard at it." I said while feeling blushed.
"No problem. W-Wow, the way you blush… I-It's really cute. I never tell a lie."
"U-Uh… That's really embarrassing." I said while looking away from her.
"*giggle* Sorry, Sorry."
"Yeah. Anyway, do you want to hear me out on those stones? I don't think I have explained all six of them to you."
"There's six of them?!" Blue shouted with shock.
"Including the orange and red stones, yes. There are six total."
"Holy hell. That's a lot to do."
"Not technically. Thanos is gone with the orange stone and I hid the red stone somewhere extremely safe. So there's still four to find."
"So are you abandoning the orange stone?"
"Unfortunately, yes. I don't know where Thanos might head to now that he's got his hands on it."
"That explains."
"So anyway, going over the six stones, the red stone is called the Stone Of Destruction. It creates a huge explosive above a target and… think of it as a real-life explosion."
"Yeah, yeah I know what you're saying."
"Ok. The orange stone is the Stone Of Protection. It protects you from human beings or other things that stand in your way. It's like a strong bubble. The yellow stone is the Stone of Healing in which, I don't know why it's called that, but hey… it's still a stone. It heals all our wounds and even revives us. Plain and simple."
"It sounds useful if you ask me."
"Yeah, your right. The green stone is called the Stone of Physicality. It makes attacks unique and stronger. It weakens your opponents quickly. The blue stone is called the Stone of Evolution. It transforms your body into a stronger form so you might look super strong. Trust me. And the purple stone is the Stone Of Time. It slows down a single person and they walk very slow. So it's a huge advantage for you."
"Man… it's a lot to go over. But I think I got it now." Blue said while she was doing some thinking.
"Are you sure? *giggle* I don't think you heard me right." I said while giggling.
"No no I do. It was just… a long list that I had to figure out which stone does what."
"Ok."
"So these six stones have their own power. I wonder what's gonna happen if this "mastermind" captures all the stones."
"Well I'll make sure it doesn't happen. I really wish to know who this mastermind is already so I need to do the bestest I can. Although I don't know who will fit the protagonist role to begin with."
"Well… It's still a lot to think about. You studied magic, right? Oh, that's right! You did tell me that you studied magic! Man… It's just... I watch a lot of anime that involves magic and stuff. And at first sight, you were the first person that studied magic before. Now I'm jealous of you."
"Don't worry, Blue. Maybe someday I'll help you study magic too. You just gotta wait a little longer."
"So much for magic. I would've been like a movie character for the Hunger Games."
"I understand. Maybe I'll figure something out."
"No no. It's fine. I'll just let history be history."
"Speaking of which, how did you know about magic?"
"Anime. I watched some that involve magic, although it's too embarrassing to say them."
"Uh… Ok. If you're that embarrassed, then we'll cut the topic."
"No no it's ok. I was excited to watch them is all I can say."
"I see."
Anime is really getting her attention. I'm surprised she learned that.
"You know, Kaze, you really are laid-back, kind, innocent. I thought you would be trouble." Blue said as she looked away from me.
"N-No, I could never be a problem towards you. I mean, I was not that talkative because I needed to focus on my dream but that doesn't mean I hate you as a whole."
"I understand what you are saying. It's just… that's how I'm looking at you as a whole."
"Oh… well I'm always nice. I'm even nice to you. There's no way I could hate a person that acts very innocent. I'm just pointing out who I really am."
"Yeah yeah. Hey, do you want to get in contact with each other so we can chat with each other some time?"
"Really? I won't be a bother?"
"Wha- No. You're my friend. I would normally text my mother, my father, my big sister that I have, and my two friends. They don't care what I say."
"O-Ok. Then I'll accept it." I grabbed my phone and went into my contacts. Blue was doing the same thing.
"This is my number." I said as I showed her my phone number.
"Ok, got it." She said after looking at it for a few seconds. After typing in my phone number, she started to send a text message.
"Did it go through?" I went to my messages only to see that she wrote "Hiya!" on here.
"Yes. I got it. I'll let my mother know that I got in touch with you." I said.
"I should do that too. I don't want her to know that I'm talking with a stranger unless I give out your name."
"That might hurt yourself if you were talking to me without knowing who I really am."
"I know. But in the end, I'm just glad I found a regular girl who can rely on me the most."
"A regular girl? You were struggling to make friends with a girl?"
"It's… *sigh* mainly because…"
"Blue Mackenzie."
"Yeah. Her."
We then heard a newer voice that is almost like a princess's voice. We then saw a girl who is almost taller than me along with two other girls behind her. That said voice had long brown hair that is tied into a… long and beautiful ponytail, green eyes, green lips. She wore a green off shoulder shirt, green pants and white boots. I also noticed that she was wearing earrings.
Wait… is this the girl most people were mentioning? Including Xavier and Lucas? She's almost similar to Raffina and Rulue both. Although I don't know what she does. Why were they only focusing on me?!
"G-Good morning, Candace." Blue said with a fake grin.
"C-Come on! Have some confidence! I'm not here to baby you like a tyrant, you know?" The girl said with a disgusted look.
"Yeah, I get it. It's just… it was rare to see you here is all."
"Yeah, whatever. Anyway, are you attending the United Kingdom's Royal Rally?"
Royal Rally?
"Again, Candace? Can't I have a break from that?" Blue asked, looking mind-blown.
"Oi, I have a title to defend for Liverpool's princess competition! I'm not giving it back to that blonde rascal!"
"But, she's not that hostile towards you. She's only wanting to have fun. And most people think of not only her but you as the two most beautiful girls here."
"I get it, but she always ruins my reputation and I will always find a way to make sure that she doesn't snatch my title away from me."
"Your rivalry with her always gets heated, Candace." Blue said, while facepalming. "Alright, fine. I'll go."
"Well… in that case, we got another weapo— wait, who's that girl behind you?"
"Oh, her? This is Kaze. My new friend." Blue said as she now stood next to me.
"Katie?"
"No, Kaze. K-A-Z-E."
"Nice to meet you." I said to the girl.
"Hmph. This girl seems a little bit… similar in terms of our looks. I get it. You must be a big fan of me, correct?" The girl asked me.
"Um… I don't really know you that much, but I've heard some people mention your name." I said.
"What?! Th-Then I presume you do other things and not think about me that very often."
"Y-Yup. I focus on myself."
"Tch! A-Alright then, Kaze. You are looking at the most beautiful girl who is currently gorgeous, sexy, and a top-notch fashionista of all fashionistas. The current three-time Royal Rally champion, Candace Maxey. Ohohohoho!"
…
…
...
"Ok. Then… it's nice to meet you, Candace." I said with a sweatdrop.
"She's not gonna be scary towards you. I promise." Blue whispered.
She almost looks like it.
"But I'm really curious why you were given the name, Kaze." Candace said to me.
"I get that a lot." I said with a sweatdrop. "Apparently, one of our friends said my full name was Japanese. I don't specifically have a reason for that."
"Japanese? So you must be born here only to have a Japanese name?"
"That's the gist of it. Other folks around here don't know that I have a Japanese name. Which is kinda odd."
"You actually do have a point there. No matter, I don't want to talk about it too much. Anyway, you just don't be late again. I'm tired of having to deal with your timing."
"Alright, alright. I won't." Blue said.
"Good. So what were you two doing?"
"Getting in contact with each other. Kaze doesn't have anyone to talk to."
"Sounds simple." Candace nodded. "How are your friends doing? Oh wait, nevermind. I'm not gonna mention how Xavier is doing. His annoying arse."
"*sigh* They're doing ok." Blue said, trying to not protest. "Probably gotta head back now. Since I have to go to work."
"Yeah, I'm heading back too. I'm only staying in the library for a little while." I said
"Oh yeah, one more thing, Candace. I know this is really off-topic, but did you hear the latest news about Thanos' escape?" Blue asked.
"Thanos' escape. I believe I did. I heard most people were talking about it but it didn't concern me at all." Candace said.
"What? Why?"
"I don't know what he's actually doing here. And if I don't know the reasoning for him coming here, then I don't want to hear about it. Unless you girls know something."
"Well… actually, we do. But I'll have Kaze talk to you about it at the rally. I don't think we have the time to do it here." Blue said.
"M-Me?" I asked.
"*sigh* Fine. As long as it's valid information, then I'll listen to her story."
"Perfect! Alright, Kaze. Time to get a move on." Blue said as she was speeding back to the library.
"O-Ok! No need to rush! It was nice meeting you, Candace. I now understand who you really are." I said to Candace.
"Sure! Same thing to you! It's been a while since I've seen an innocent girl like you. Ohohoho!"
"Ok. Well, I'll see you later."
"We'll meet again soon."
"Kaze!" Blue shouted
"I'm coming!" I shouted. "Alright, see ya."
I then went on to catch up with Blue who was getting impatient with me mainly due to us talking about the Stone and getting to know Candace, who is currently the Royal Rally champion. At first, I thought she would be snobby because of how I look, but hey, lucky me.
Wow… I never thought Candace would be this nice to me. Phew. What an unexpected surprise.
"Geez, did you really have to waste time?" Blue asked.
"You were in a rush and I didn't get a chance to say goodbye to her." I said.
"Yeah, but… nevermind let's just drop that. So… I didn't know Candace was that nice to you. And she wasn't even affected by how you look."
"Well, we never met before so I'm sure she's gonna get used to me once in a while. Is Candace really that beautiful?" I asked.
"It's mainly the reason why everyone here is just so obsessed with her. Her voice, hair, lips… everything. For me, I wasn't affected by her looks at all. After all, we've had a long history with each other."
"Oh, so you were kids when your friendship first happened?"
"Indeed. It's very long though so I don't want to go over it."
…
…
…
"Do you think you'll have a long history with me?" I asked her.
"It depends. Let's just see how far we go, ok?" Blue said while releasing her pinky finger.
…
"Ok. You got it." I said as I returned the pinky finger.
Author's Note: Kaze now uses Blue as a secondary tool to keep all the information about the stones that are in four other worlds a secret until Kaze gives her the signal. Meanwhile, She now finds who this Candace girl is as Candace Maxey makes her first appearance in this story. Is she taking part in this story? You'll have to find out. Just gots to keep reading.
I'm now about to edit some chapters since they don't seem right to me so if you notice some chapters that don't seem familiar, it's because I edited them. It's just so that this story could actually make sense.
