Warning, I've got completely no clue as to what will happen in this chapter. As I'm sure you've probably noticed by now, when I'm on a part of the story I've been looking forward to and planning for a while, the chapter is long. But when I don't have much of a plan, it's much shorter. This will be one such case. All I know for sure is, Max is getting his first pokémon in Hoenn, and they're arriving in Dewford. Fun fact, that thing about Max wanting a chance to write about more pokémon was made up by me on the spot, because I'm a total idiot and forgot that they got to Dewford from Rustboro. So I've fixed that, and now here we are with my latest chapter, which will probably not come out until Friday, sorry.

On The Boat ToDewford:

Once they returns to Rustboro, May leads the way to the ferry terminal. "better not lead us to a closed pasta place first!" Max jokes. May glares at him. "Do tell me what you were planning to tell Bonnie once it came time to actually head to Dewford?" she retorts. At this, Bonnie rounds on him. "Yeah Max, what was your plan for that?" Max just blushes and says nothing, which makes everyone laugh. May leads them to the ferry terminal and gets them all tickets. Max tries to argue that she doesn't need to come with them, but May shuts him down. "I want to make sure you're safe!" she tells him. "After the state these people left you in in Kalos, I don't want that to happen again!" "But don't you have training you need to get back to?" Max asks. "Meyer left Hoenn a few days ago," May tells him. "He returned to Kalos, so the only training I can do is by myself." Disappointed, Max stops arguing and allows May to buy tickets for herself and Drew.

Not long after that, the ferry arrived. The four of them joined the crowd as they boarded the boat to Dewford. Bonnie runs up to the front of the boat immediately in order to watch as they departed from mainland Hoenn. Max follows after her, laughing slightly. "You look like you've never been on a boat before" he says. Bonnie slaps him lightly for that. "Of course I have!" she exclaims. "But I love to watch the journey from the front of the ship. It looks so cool." Max can only laugh at this and nod in agreement. He has to admit she has a point there. May and Drew watch the two of them standing at the front, and they laugh at the sight. "He really is so clueless about how he feels for her!" Drew comments. May laughs in agreement, unaware of the irony of these comments. Soon enough, everyone was on board, and the ship began to depart from the harbour. "How long will this ride take?" Bonnie asks as May and Drew join them. "I don't know," May replies. "It shouldn't take too long though."

As they wait, Max takes the time to watch some of the pokémon that either swim or fly past the boat they're on. In particular, Max takes an interest in a flock of Wingulls that fly past them. He's been meaning to catch his first Hoenn pokémon, and he's been keen on catching a Wingull of his own after seeing that Pelliper on his original journey with Ash 4 years ago. But of course, he can't just throw one of his pokéballs at one of them while on the boat, and neither of the pokémon he brought with him were suitable to battle one, especially on a moving vessel. So, he's content with just writing about them. He can catch one when they get to Dewford. Arceus, he remembers how long they ended up spending on Dewford while Ash trained up his team and got over his ego. Remembering their situation back in Laverre, he dearly hopes that Bonnie doesn't get that prideful during her gym battle. While he's sure she's learned her lesson from that ordeal, he decides to come up with a plan to avoid both that happening again, and the amount of time they spent on Dewford.

Unfortunately for him, his train of thought is interrupted by the boat, which begins to violently shake. It's as if the waves have begun to pick up, though the water is still calm. The shaking causes Max to drop his notebook over the side. He starts to panic, and moves to dive in after it, but Bonnie grabs the back of his t-shirt. "Are you crazy!?" she exclaims. "But my notebook!" he argues back. "It's fallen into the water by now!" Bonnie replies. "Even if you found it, it'd be useless to you now!" Max wants to argue that it wouldn't, when he feels something hit him on the head. Looking down, he sees his notebook, bone dry. Looking around, Max spots one of the Wingull flying overhead. It caws happily down to him, before indicating down below the waves. Everyone who sees this looks down, as does everyone else once they see others doing so. In the sea below the boat is a dark shape, which seems to rapidly be growing closer with every second. Max has just enough time to wonder what it is, when it bursts from the water with a gigantic splash. The object turns out to be a gigantic robotic Sharpedo, which stares the ship down with giant, metallic teeth. Inside the eyes is the cockpit, and Max doesn't need binoculars to see that two Team Terra grunts are inside it, although he can't be sure if it's Sarah and Sam or not.

The robotic Sharpedo opens its mouth, and a woman's voice comes out of it. "You need not be afraid," she says. "We do not want to harm you. We merely desire a member of your passengers. Amongst you is someone we are after named Max Maple. Turn him over to us and we will leave you to continue your journey." "At this point, a man's voice came out of the Sharpedo's mouth, and it was far too deep to be Sam's. "Fail to do so in, let's say, 10 minutes, and this Sharpedo will swallow your ship whole, and we will search it ourselves until we come across him. Anyone who tries to hide him will be punished for trying to stop Team Terra's attempts to save our world. Max Maple, turn yourself in if you don't want harm to befall these passengers. That's all for now." At that, both the man and woman spoke together. "See you all in 10 minutes." Then, the Sharpedo's mouth closed. The captain of the boat tries to speed it up to escape Team Terra, but grapples fly out of the Sharpedo's fins and pin the boat in place.

Meanwhile, the moment the woman said Max's name, May and Drew pushed him and Bonnie down, and the four of them began to crawl along the ship, out of sight of all of the other passengers. As they try to sneak away from the ship, May comments, "See, this is why I need to stick around with you." she tells him, before reaching into her pocket to pull the bandana out. But before she can stick it on her head, Drew grabs her hand and shakes his head. "You can't use your powers yet," he says. "Besides, you haven't got a proper costume yet, so you'll just give yourself away when you can't do much yet as The Blaziken Mask." May snatches her arm out of Drew's hand and pockets her bandana. "Alright then," she asks, "how do you suggest we do this?" At this, Drew pulls out a pokéball and enlarges it. "The old fashioned way!" Bonnie nods in agreement, then lets Dedenne out of her bag. Max is about to pull out either Grovyle or Gallade, when the Wingull from before flies in front of him and flashes a determined look. Max understands what the bird wants from him and nods his head. Then, he catches it, lets it out of the ball, and explains what he wants it to do.

With 5 minutes to go until the Sharpedo swallows up the ship, Max steps out of his hiding place and storms up to the machine. "Hey, Eco maniacs!" he calls. "Here I am! Come and get me!" Many people on the ship are surprised to see a young boy about 11 years old step up. Max can hear people begin to whisper that he must be the wrong person, as he's too young. But then, The Sharpedo's mouth opens again, and two people step out into it. They aren't Sarah and Sam. The woman is slightly smaller than Sarah, and a bit chubbier. She has short brown hair, which is styled a bit like the ears of a cat. She even has slightly thin, green eyes as well, with a round face. The man is much than Sam, and quite lanky. He has longer black hair than the woman, which falls down past his ears. The pair of them smile down triumphantly at Max. "So, you finally decide to show yourself," says the woman. "I must say you're quite the slippery little Nikitt." "But now, we have you!" the man goes on. "Soon, the names Debbie and Cooper will ring across the Hierarchy of Team Terra!" Then, the pair begin to laugh.

Once they're finished, they point to Max again. "Now, unless you want us to send this boat to the bottom of the water," they both say together, "you'll get on this sub and come with us!" Mac just smirks, before pointing at them. "How about we send you blasting off instead!" he cries, before shouting, "Wingull, Wing Attack!" The Wingull flies out from behind the boat and uses Wing Attack on the ropes, cutting the ship free. Immediately, the captain sets it to full speed, and it begins to make its escape. Debbie and Cooper climb back into the cockpit and begin to chase after the ship. But before they can get very far, a Mega Roserade and Mega Blaziken leap from the ship and onto the machine, pummelling every inch of it they could reach. Holes begin to appear in the Sharpedo's hull, meaning that they couldn't dive back under the water. At that moment, Wingull flies back round to the ship, and Dedenne jumps onto her back. Wingull brings Dedenne near enough to the mechanical Sharpedo, and Dedenne launches a powerful Thunderbolt attack, causing the ship to begin to combust. As Debbie and Cooper scramble to fix it, Both Mega Blaziken and Mega Roserade launch one final attack at it, causing it to blow and to send the Team Terra agents packing.

The whole boat lets out cries of celebration as they watch the two agents fly away. Max, Bonnie, May, Drew and their pokémon reunite at the front of the ship, where all of the passengers proceed to thank them profusely, and the captain even offered to give them all free rides to wherever they chose. They humbly accept the offer and all the praise, then get ready to disembark, as Dewford Island comes into view. Max offers to release Wingull, but she refuses, showing that she wants to stick with Max on his journey by going back into her ball. Max smiles at this, then attaches her ball to his belt. Now with his first official catch on this journey, Max anticipates this next leg of the journey, even if he does have to stick with his older sister.

I did it. With one minute left in Thursday, I did it! Go me! Now, you're probably wondering about Debbie and Cooper. In truth, I wasn't planning on bringing them in yet. They weren't supposed to show up until the next chapter, and Sarah and Sam were supposed to pilot that sub. But then I thought about how little sense it made for them to not only recover from Mega Blaziken sending them flying, but also to be able to build that sub and track them down in that space of time. So, I brought them in one chapter early. Also, their names come from the infamous plane jacker D.B. Cooper, amn't I very funny (you may all laugh now). Anyway, with that, see you on Tuesday when they finally arrive on Dewford.
