Sometimes, what you think is a perfect ending doesn't fix everything. Sometimes, it leaves people worse off than where they started. Niko thought it was the perfect ending and was wrong. Niko thought downloading a game wouldn't change anything and was right. All that is true is that it has been a year, and the player needs to be saved. From what, you might ask? Simple: themself.

Niko is back in their home but they miss the world they had explored and the "god" that had guided them. If only...

Niko finally goes home, but at the cost of having the world they left behind to die. The god of that world finds this unacceptable, so he decides to play again. But something's not quite right...

But, how can the god of a world let their favorite leave the domain they rule? You know that well, is impossible. You know that you still have power. And you finally find it. The way for you to use the connection between the messiah's consciousness and this world to Return everything to how it was before. And it's not as if the World Machine can stop you.

Since there's basically no fanfics about OneShot anywhere, I decided to make one myself. It will take on the perspective on the main protagonist, Niko, and reveal their thoughts upon the final choice within the game. This is my first official fanfic so don't go easy on me.

(SPOILERS FOR THE GAME ONESHOT STEAM EDITION.) It was only suppose to a game. Just a game. Now I can see why this 'Entity' of sorts wants me here in the first place. I never that it was capable of doing something like this. *sigh* Oh well, if I'm here, then I might as well take in the sights of this world anyway. I hope Niko doesn't mind taking a detour.
