So just now a certain YouTuber Fobb who had been doing character deep dives on certain Punch Out Boxers in no particular order just did a video about Glass Joe so that put me in enough of a mood to update this story but also wanted to tell of something that I just did so recently made friends with an older gentleman who often comes to my local Denny's late at night last night I tried to explain tabletop RPGs to him but he just got very confused so to help tonight I brought my dice, my TMNT & OS book and a notebook to write down the results of the random dice rolls to demonstrate how random character generation works in the TMNT game and the result was a Mutant Leopard who was the result of 'Random Mutation' (Meaning the character was 'just born that way' like Splinter which isn't really a good example because even if Splinter was an unusually bright rat he still needed the ooze to become anthropomorphic)and had the standard education of adopted by a ninja master I named her Harriet because I thought if this super cool ninja feline had a name that sounded like one of the Golden Girls! Now I don't like 'Random' mutation I don't use it in these fanfics but characters rolled up with friends are more fun than characters you roll up when you're completely alone so...Do you think I should add Harriet to the Mutant Denizens of Forest?
So later that afternoon Little Mac took Bimbette to the WVBA gym to meet the rest of the boxers, today was Monday not a day it was Von Kaiser and Glass Joe's turn to teach the Mutant Students so most everyone was free to greet the new Mutant and overjoyed to see Little Mac to have something in his life other than boxing!
Bear Hugger of course was always happy to make a new Mutant Friend, he went up and gave the Mutant Doe one of his famous 'Bear Hugs' making Little Mac a little nervous for a moment because her arms and legs seemed so delicate looking, but no Bimbette didn't seem the least bit bothered by the hug in fact she seemed to giggle as Bear Hugger picked her up...Seems she never really got this kind of attention growing up!
After than that most of the Boxers lined up to greet her a bit more formally.
"And here's Von Kaiser…" Little Mac said introducing her to the German, he runs the classes for young mutants, along with Glass Joe who you've already met.
"It is a pleasure to meet you Frauline...Bimbette?" Von Kaiser turned to Glass Joe with a concerned raised eyebrow both knew that wasn't a proper French name and knew that sounded way to similar to the American slang term 'Bimbo' which did not bode well for whoever gave her that name. Glass Joe who had already met and spoken to Bimbette so he already knew a bit more about the situation visibly grimaced as he really wasn't sure he wanted to bring up the things he learned right now.
The wary Mutant Deer of course noticed these exchanged glances but she assumed their concern was only about her strange name and she couldn't really blame them as while her name might sound 'cutesy' to an uneducated Americans to Europeans it probably sets of red flags because of how improper it is!
"I know my name is strange…" She said "...My Master said a friend recommended he name me that."
Glass Joe folded his arms and scowled! There she was talking about her 'Master' the man she very obviously feared but she refused to come clean about just how dangerous he actually was! This wasn't a good sign!
"So…" Von Kaiser said hoping to change the subject to get things off to a good start "...You are about Little Mac's age?"
"More or less…" Bimbette said "...I believe I'm a few months younger than him, hence why he's nineteen and I'm eighteen."
"Ah." Von Kaiser said "Just entered legal adulthood, and if you've only very recently moved into Forest that explains why you weren't enrolled in the Young Mutant Martial Arts School."
There was already a tenseness in the air, the boxers now could feel it because of their experiences with Dana's rescue Bimbette seemed to have a lot of body language signals that Dana had before the secret of her creators were revealed, they obviously wanted to ask her questions but feared she would bolt at the first sign of real prying.
Little Mac sensing the awkward silence that fell over everybody but because he had mostly been kept out of the Older Boxers' crusade to unravel the mysteries of mutant animals he kind was a bit dense not knowing what the heck was going on!
"Hey Bimbette…" Little Mac said delicately taking her three fingered hand in his "Why don't I take you to the arcade?"
But as they exited the WVBA Doors the usual reporters who frequently hung around the WVBA gym like vultures waiting for the next juicy scoop exclaimed "Look! Little Mac! Seems like another WVBA Boxer has fallen for a Mutant!"
DUN DUN DUN! Yeah figured I might as well beginning moving the plot toward the climactic showdown
