The night of the soiree arrived fairly quickly. All who were attending from the dorm were preparing by dressing up to the nines. Fancy gowns and suits galore, but they all had been to one of these before or at the very least recently. I had not attended one in a long while as I never really left my home for very long. Feeding hardly counted as leaving the estate for very long.

For the evening I had picked out an off-the-shoulder long red ball gown that had an asymmetrical neckline. Throughout the ball gown part there were sections of black that flowed with the gown and the over gown had a bit of a glittery finish to it. My long black hair was styled into an updo that had braiding. I also wore matching red heels and a sheer red shaw to finish out the look. It was only something simple yet elegant to wear for the party, yet it was also movable enough for when I had to attend my ritual.

Once I was dressed I headed down to meet with Takuma and join in the ride. As I walked over to where Takuma was, I gently grabbed onto his arm. He looked down at me and smiled softly. "Lady Suki, you look beautiful tonight. Are you ready to leave?" He asked. I smiled softly. "Thank you. And I am. May we?" I asked before he led the way to the car.

The drive to the party wasn't dull, to say the least, but it wasn't my place to talk during the drive either. Upon arriving, Takuma helped me out of the car before Kaname took my hand and carefully led me up the stairs and into the building. Takuma swiftly took over as Kaname had asked him to do. Takuma did well to make sure that I was doing well around all the aristocrats who wanted to speak with me, mostly about how I never attended these soirees anymore, much like the other purebloods, and how it was a joy to see the heir to the Misora family attending one. The topic they jumped to next after that was how I was attending Cross Academy and how Kaname had allowed me to attend with him. Oh, the rumors and gossip started to spread about how perhaps two purebloods at the same school must mean that Kaname was choosing another pureblood as his wife.

While listening to the rumors fly, I couldn't tell them it was untrue but I also couldn't say that it was true. All I could do was listen and watch them grab hold and run with it. Kaname would have to silence their ideas himself. But as I sipped on my drink that Takuma had gotten for me during all that, I kept a light watch on how everyone else acted and what time it was. Takuma stayed fairly close to me, while also interacting with those that spoke to him out of respect. At one point, Takuma turned to me and ushered us away from the growing group to a quieter area of the room to sit and speak to each other. This allowed me to have the space and moment to remark about the kind of gathering this was in my eyes:

"I forgot how these kinds of parties are when vampires get together and like to pretend that we're not blood-craving creatures of the night, while also pretending that being a vampire is about being fancy, elegant, and spending hordes of money to be seen as popular."

It was all fairly true. This latest invite was just to be kind in hopes that I would attend, and for some, it would mean that they could subtly try to play matchmaker with me. Which I would shut down for more reasons than one at the moment. I knew where I stood at these gatherings being a pureblood and all.

As the party kept going on, I managed to quietly let Takuma know that I had to slip away from the party to attend to my ritual. He hesitated to let me go alone but I assured him I would be fine and would come find him once I was done. I slipped out of the main ballroom and down a hallway to a hidden room. Upon entering I noticed how everything was set up just as my invitation had said it would be. The room itself was quite large and empty except for a couch that was against the wall, a small table in the middle of the room that had a few tools such as a ceremonial blade, a deck of cards that was already out of its original box, and a mirror on the far wall from me. In the middle of the room, there was also a short pedestal that had a clear bowl of water, four small tables located in north, south, east, and west viewpoints, lit candles set on each of those tables, and a plush chair that was in front of the pedestal. Just simple enough for my full moon ritual. It had been almost six months since I had done one of these and I wasn't completely ecstatic about doing it again.
