I was in a rocky clearing near one of the windcatchers as I was dressed in funeral garb while standing next to two funeral pyres with a torch in my hand. The two sets of remains were none other than the parents of Navora and Tezoa as they were paying their final respects. It was a way and mean to send those to the afterlife as I also had pity for those who lost their lives and not live to tell the tale. It was also a practice to burn the remains of the departed as vengeful spirits were mainly a nuisance during the Elder Days, for it had to be done before it was too late.
"Andezhka nir zhrigielur dahur, togrizhev amue zdol," I said in the Draaza language as I lit the two funeral pyres. "May you seek solace in the afterlife, for the Grey Havens will be your eternal rest at last."
I watched the pyres burning brightly as I noticed the two girls shedding tears while being surrounded by those who came here. It was sad to watch them say goodbye to their parents as they noticed their spirits going towards the Grey Havens. Tezoa was feeling the pinch of losing her family as she was thankful that they would soon find peace up there. As for Navora, she was distraught as she couldn't hold back the tear she shed, for she was alone with her sister.
"It's okay, Navora," said Tezoa as she was consoling her.
"It's not fair that Mom and Dad are gone," she sobbed. "I thought that they would be here, only to see them taken away from us…"
"You need to be strong. Mom and Dad would've wanted us to thrive, okay? Besides, they're not alone up there. Maybe they'll meet that old man who keeps calling everyone 'idjits' if they see him there…"
It wasn't long until Bobby skittered towards the two girls as he recognized who their parents were all those centuries. He knew of them very well as they were the very proof of what their parents have left behind, for this was something that he forgot until now. The sight of them brought back memories for him as he was no stranger with what happened in the Elder Days, for he knew of what he saw on that fateful day that he met their parents...
Two thousand years into the past…
Bobby was busy hiding in the latest slug roe home in Taos, New Mexico, as he was mainly keeping watch after the slew of Leviathans sprung out of Castiel a month ago. Even though he was on edge, he was still waiting for Sam and Dean to check in as he also had to steer clear of whoever was tracking them. Still, he had seen better days as he saw strange things coming and going, but his home was destroyed when every single Leviathan came crawling and wanting to eat everything in plain sight. Just as he was about to check the radio, he heard the sound of screaming coming from the basement as he never went there before until now. It was the sound of a woman as she was in the throes of going into labor the moment Bobby rushed to the basement to see who was there.
What he didn't expect was that there were two Draaza: one male and one female, hiding in the slug roe home as one of them was about to give birth, for she had a gut feeling that her unborn couldn't wait any longer. He was stunned to see the couple here as he had to do something the moment he went towards a sink to turn on the faucet. That was when Totsuka arrived as he was loaded with what supplies that would be useful, for it was a matter of survival when it came to dealing with the wrath of the Leviathans. Even though times were tough, everyone had to be on board as the monsters they were fighting have gotten intense and would do anything to have them taken out, for this was a long and lingering battle that went sideways.
"What did you do, rob the local Walmart?" asked Bobby.
"I've got some supplies, cash, and a few odds and ends, but it's a long way to go when it comes to dealing with the Bottom Feeders that just showed up," said Totsuka as he set down the supplies on the table. "I heard about those impostors who changed into Sam and Dean in which a certain King of Hell isn't taking it too lightly. He wanted to team up with the big shark of the Bottom Feeders, but it was an epic fail. As for the couple that I ran into, they're scared that those things will find and eat their young if we don't get them out of here."
"It's true," said the Draaza man as he was worried. "My wife and I have been hiding from the same things who showed up and they're immune to most of the weapons that were left behind."
"I can feel its head coming!" cried the Draaza woman as she was struggling to push.
"Dude, we gotta pull our weight here 'cause there's a bun in the oven that just got done."
Without further hesitation, Bobby and Totsuka washed their hands in the sink as they also filled up a bowl of hot water before turning off the faucet in the sink. With some fresh towels that were on the shelves brought out, they were busy helping the Draaza couple prepare for their new arrival. Even though there was no hospital room, Bobby had to steer clear of them after what nearly happened to Sam and Dean as well as Jody when he had the ways and means to tend to any ailment that was coming towards them. All there was in the basement were an old cot with some towels and a first aid kit that were handy as this was all that was there, for it was survival against the Leviathans in every way imaginable.
"We're gonna need for you to push, okay?" said Bobby as he had a towel in his hands. "Whatever you're carrying, I want it to live in which he or she will be coming out swinging."
"I trust you," said the Draaza woman as she was struggling to push further.
"Don't overstrain yourself, my love," said the Draaza man cautiously. "As soon as our crew find us, the better we leave Earth."
"Let's hope that your people get here before they do," said Totsuka as he was bringing out the first aid kit. "You guys had a run-in with those Leviathans, didn't you?"
"They're dangerous, but nothing affects them other than having their heads separated from their bodies."
"They're weak against borax," said Bobby. "One day when Jody arrived to clean one of the slug roe homes, a few drops fell on a Leviathan prisoner in which it felt like he got doused with acid."
The Draaza man was astonished with what Bobby was saying as he was also determined to protect his wife and upcoming child that was about to come out into the world. Without further hesitation, Totsuka assisted the Draaza woman as she felt a head emerging. At that moment, Bobby had to act as he saw the head of a Draazaling clearly the moment he gently pulled it out and wrapped it into a towel the moment Totsuka took a pair of surgical scissors and gently cut the umbilical cord while tying it. The young Draazaling was wailing with a healthy set of lungs as its cries filled the basement, for it was a surprise that cut through the doom and gloom so far.
"It's a girl," said Bobby as he gently set the newborn down in an old cradle that hadn't been used.
"Thank the Matriarch," said the Draaza woman as she was relieved from going into labor. "No…, that's impossible…" She begins to strain as she begins to push once again. "I can feel another one coming out!"
"Balls…"
"We've got a Safeway deal in the making," said Totsuka.
It wasn't long until Bobby noticed another head emerging as he got out a fresh towel and gently pulled out the Draazaling in which it was wailing loudly. With the umbilical cord cut and tied, it was presented as the newborn was shown to the Draaza who were happy to see it, for this was a sight and an omen to see twins born into the world. With the labor over, Bobby was exhausted after helping with the delivery as he was happy that the twins were out and ready to start their journey, for he also had a gut feeling that things would end going up sideways in the near future.
"You got another baby girl," he said.
"Another girl?" asked the Draaza man as he was shocked to hear of it.
"She's beautiful like her mother. As for her sister, she's a lot like her daddy."
"They're names will be Navora and Tezoa," said the Draaza woman as she slowly sat up. "They were born in this town in the desert, for they are the flowers that have bloomed into it."
It wasn't long until several footsteps burst into the basement as Bobby and Totsuka noticed several Draaza standing in reverence. The birth of the twin girls was an omen as they would soon meet with Bobby again in the future, for they were the desert flowers that have bloomed in a time of survival…
Meanwhile, back in the present…
Minara was busy examining the girls as they never expected to get their physical for the first time in a while. Both of them were relatively healthy as they were also young, but put into stasis for centuries until they were found. By the time Bobby rushed into the cabin to find them, he was glad that they were thriving as they also had to deal with the death of their parents. The very sight of them brought back memories as he remembered that fateful night in the slug roe home in Taos, New Mexico, centuries ago. When he skittered towards them, he saw them to be curious as they decided to give him the attention like any other housecat, for he was more of a gentle soul than a hunter who often stewed in alcohol and regret.
"He's so fluffy," said Tezoa as she petted Bobby's orange and white fur.
"You're no Grumpy Cat, but the twins really adore you," said Minara.
"It's because I've helped their parents once," said Bobby. "As for what was found in the wreckage of the Chiniquy, it's been quiet, but after discovering the lift when we went to retrieve their remains, it consists of the mess hall and parts of the cargo bay."
"And the other parts are located near the rocks, but it's been picked clean by those who crafted the windcatchers just to collect the air condensity and filter out the particles that went with it."
"At least that the technology that our mom and dad left behind didn't go to waste," said Navora.
"You and your sister are lucky that you're alive, but you should also have stability and a caring home to protect you. From what I heard, the Driftwood Clan have officially chose to have you as their wards in which their homestead is near one of the windcatchers, but they have to deal with monsters that come and go, including harpies."
Bobby was stunned to hear what Minara was saying as he wanted to be with the Draaza girls who were found after being in stasis for centuries. When he looked at Navora, she gently petted his fur as he purred while sitting next to her. In an unusual way, he never forgot about the twins whose parents were hiding from Leviathans as they were also laid to rest in the Grey Havens, for he wanted to do more than just be an old housecat or therapy animal. Both Navora and Tezoa didn't mind that he was a cat as he felt more at ease to tell them about how he helped their parents once, but that was another story to tell for a rainy day...
I was near a rocky part of the desert as I saw some stairs that led towards a cemetery that was crafted with the combination of dirt and rock that kept it sturdy from all the elements. The place itself was filled with the usual Native American totems and dreamcatchers that adorned the gate and fences as I saw some of the people living near the Driftwood homestead shoveling the dirt to bury the remains of the two Draaza that I found in the Chiniquy. The grave markers in the cemetery consisted of tall cacti that acted like gravestones as I saw the two boxes of remains being buried where they were marked to be laid to rest. Still, I had my reasons to see their remains buried serenely as I also worried about the safety of their twin daughters who were found, for they had to have stability instead of being left alone to fend for themselves. It was a start, but I also had to make sure that they would be okay as they went through too much after losing their parents, for they also had to stay strong for one another.
"So, this is the Driftwood Clan's cemetery," said Drusus as he was exhausted from going up the stairs. "At least I didn't run up here with sand in my boots."
"The Driftwood Clan are no strangers when it comes to adapting to the elements, including the desert," I said. "As for the girls who were found, they need stability and protection instead of being out in the heat fending for themselves at a young age."
"About that… From what I saw earlier, Bobby's been interested in seeing them, but he can't take care of them because he's basically a furry housecat. Also, Rowan has officially gave us the go-ahead to take them in so they won't be lonely. According to what I heard from Lyra, the Driftwood Clan are known to be not only hunters, but caretakers of this resort around the lake and the windcatchers that adorn it."
"Hey! You can't go up there, you overgrown cigarette mascot!"
I noticed Guido chasing Sparky as they caught up to me. What I didn't expect was that the camel that came along with Bobby grabbed at my silver hair with its mouth and led me away from the cemetery and back to the cabin. I noticed Bobby sitting by the dock as he was staring at the lake in which he was starting to feel a pinch of sadness for not being around the two Draaza girls that were found. By the time Guido caught up to us, he was eager to get mad at the camel, but stopped as he noticed me dealing with what was going on, for having Bobby becoming sad wasn't something that neither one of us couldn't ignore.
"Your camel pulled a fast one in which he doesn't mess around," he said.
"Are you talking about Sparky?" asked Bobby as he looked at him.
"Your pack animal had the gall to take Sam out of the cemetery in which he's there to be the designated psychiatrist here."
"Are you really that narrow-minded, ya idjit?!" Bobby jumps onto Guido's leg as he climbed up into his arms. "For the record, Sparky happens to be a girl because of the fact that male camels happen to be bigger than the female and they have their dick and balls with them."
Guido turned around and noticed Sparky bellowing as she was later chewing on some cud to pass the time. He was stunned to see the camel not being a male as he saw her sitting down next to Bobby. I also didn't mind her presence as she was mainly a transportation animal that was durable in the desert, but she was fiercely loyal to the housecat who hitched a ride on her back a few days ago. Still, I had to see a little more with this situation as I later noticed Drusus catching up to us when he ran down the stairs to catch up to us. He was no stranger into going up and down the stairs as he was also the type to keep any angel away, for he was also there to see what was going on so far.
"It seems that you've reached the level of stairmaster," said Guido.
"The Driftwood Clan surely know how to craft things, including the stairs," said Drusus.
"The Driftwood Clan are also a group of hunters, but their element will always be the desert," I said.
"As for what you found near the lake, we did clean up the place where you took the lift, but we should also honor the dead with a shrine to where the mess hall is."
"The wreckage of what's left of the Chiniquy will be a bunker whenever the sandstorms pick up. As for the twins, they're in good hands in which the Driftwood Clan sees them as sacred. It's fair enough, for they will also have a hint of stability just to keep them safe and secure from any form of threat imaginable."
"Those girls should thrive instead of doing the grunt work that most of us adults do," said Guido as he got up to his feet. "It's also a good call that the Driftwood Clan are taking them in, for they need a family to watch over them after their parents died."
It wasn't long until we noticed the twin girls dressed in swimsuits as they were wading in the shallow part of the lake. Both of them were eager to take a dip as the desert heat was always intense in the daytime. I also noticed Minara approaching as he applied sunblock on both girls in which he didn't want them to get a bad sunburn while going swimming. At that moment, Bobby skittered to where they were as he decided to take a swim in the lake. Even though cats like him never liked to go into the water, he was no stranger into swimming as he sped up to where the girls were, for he was glad that they were thriving,
"It's that kitty," said Tezoa as she saw Bobby paddling in the lake.
"What's he doing in the water?" asked Navora.
"He's probably taking a dip after being in the heat."
"You kids thought wrong," said Bobby as he swam towards the girls. "I wanted to see you two for a long time after hearing about how you spent centuries in stasis."
"You can talk?" said Navora as she saw Bobby still floating.
"I can talk, but I've known you two since I helped your parents deliver you when they were hiding in a basement of a slug roe home in Taos, New Mexico. Perhaps after you get used to taking a dip in the lake, we'll go to what was left of the Chiniquy nearby."
Both girls stared at Bobby as he was also aware of seeing them thriving and safe. Still, they had to adjust to their new normal as they also had a home here in the Diamond Dunes, for this was their destiny to be the two desert flowers who bloomed in the white sands that surrounded the lake…
Lyra was at her home in the Trujillo Clan's homestead as she was reading the letters that were sent by Gonzalo through correspondence. Even though she was relieved that Shayla was safe, it was best that she stayed in Kolinahr, but in the hotel that Gonzalo owned as she was also concerned about what was going on. With Iago and Desdemona on the run, she was on edge as she had a gut feeling that they would show up on her doorstep without warning. It was also noted that she was eager to hear some good news as the information about finding the twin Draaza girls in what was left of the Chiniquy was a breath of fresh air, for it was also a done deal when it came to consulting to those who knew of it. When she left her sitting room, she noticed Florian standing there as he was here at a much short notice while carrying some letters in his hands, for he also carried one of them that had the Barathite Emperor's seal on it.
"You've shown up at the wrong time," she said.
"Actually, I've shown up perfectly," said Florian as he gave Lyra the letter.
"Emperor Vittorio really has his hands full when it comes to dealing with the stragglers who have joined forces with the nobles who have been on his shit list."
"According to what I heard, there's a group that is known as the Lineage in which it's been after Guido Zampano for a while. Luckily, Baratheon's new Emperor ain't a pantywaist, but he doesn't like it when nobles overstep their power when it comes to corruption."
Lyra opened up the letter as she saw it to be a word of warning about those who were wanting to kidnap Guido for their own breeding purposes. To her shock, she saw an image of a stag crest hidden in the letter as she examined it carefully, for she knew what it was when it came to bad news.
"Damn it…," she said. "They won't stop until they get what they want…"
"It had to be them," said Claudia as she entered into the sitting room. "The Lineage is a group that has been in opposition with my family in which they believe in the superior genes of those who are forced to participate in their breeding program."
"Dowager Empress Claudia… It's been years since you came here."
"I come and go, but I also have to warn you about those people who would stop at nothing to steal Guido and return him back at the hands of those who sided with what was left of Father Warren's flock. The Lineage believes in natural selection instead of being artificially inseminated or implanted with a foreign ovum from the gene banks of the Fallen. They also don't take too kindly with those who were designated as Ancients due to their status being born from those that have been extinct. The real reason why the Lineage wants Guido returned to them is that he possesses possible genetics from that of House Vizinar, who have married into the ranks of House Trelundar. It's also been said that every fourth child born from the genetics of those who were born from blood or marriage have a potential of inheriting the Sight of Valithis, which is a game changer that could surpass my own family."
"And Guido has the Sight of Valithis in which it can only be activated through when he interacts through sexual means in the form of coitus," said Florian. "Luckily, I advised Minara to officiate a marriage license between him and that girl that was found in the wreckage of the Clampett, which is feasible."
Lyra was stunned to hear about that as she also had her reasons to not only protect Guido, but to watch over Casey as well. They were picked for one another for a reason, but neither one of them knew about the potential that was put in front of them. At a glance, Lyra decided to write a letter to me as she had to tell me of the news about Guido's predicament. When she finished up, she placed it in an envelope as she sealed with with the Trujillo Clan's seal before giving it to the courier that was standing out in the hall. It was a game changer to hear of Guido's hidden potential, but it was also dangerous to reveal it as Lyra had to tell me anyway, for there would be those who would covet and abuse the Sight of Valithis to no end if not careful.
"I know of what was left of House Vizinar due to some of their relatives born from the wreckage of a Draaza ship near the Driftwood Clan's homestead," she said. "Some of them lived on Baratheon in which they even married into House Trelundar."
"I've heard of House Vizinar before," said Claudia. "Some of them woke up from stasis on this planet while others sought fame and fortune on Baratheon. As for the rest, they lived with regret for not finding some of their friends and family members. One Draaza albino lives at the Driftwood Clan's homestead nearby the Diamond Dunes in which she still laments the loss of her son and daughter-in-law who barely bit a bullet when they were fleeing from the Leviathans during the Elder Days."
"I read about the annals that were recorded after the release of Slash Fiction," said Florian. "House Vizinar were really being tailed by none other than Dick Roman and his boys after he turned down Crowley's offer, only to hide in a slug roe home where Bobby was staying at in Taos, New Mexico, at the time. As for the Sight of Valithis, it's a power that is mainly manageable if controlled directly and properly. Sam's gonna have to know eventually in which he's no slouch when it comes to dealing with those who abuse what they don't have."
"We all know that the Sight of Valithis may be powerful, but it's not on the same level as the raw power that Sam has," said Lyra. "As for what is yet to come, things will get a little complicated in the long run, for we have so much that is put in front of us…"
The revelation about Guido having special abilities became a game changer as he was in the same boat as I was. Like me, the newest member of the Order was also being pursued by those who would their damnedest to covet and abuse what he had, for it was a revelation that had to be shown eventually…
I led the way into the lift as we took it all the way down to the wreckage of the Chiniquy where we would soon pay our respects below. It was newly cleaned up as we noticed the debris gone after all that had happened centuries ago. I also noticed a shrine filled with decorations and dreamcatchers as we paid our respects to the ones who died in the wreckage. With some incense cones lit, we prayed in front of the shrine as we also kept it intact in which it was a reminder of honoring those we have lost, for this was also a place that I found Navora in the first place.
"It's been a few days since the cleanup here," said Guido as he was examining the mess hall.
"That was where Mom and Dad liked to hang out," said Tezoa. "They even corresponded with some of our people who were hidden on Earth at the time."
"Your parents also encountered some Leviathans when your mom went into labor with you two," said Bobby. "I remembered what happen when they decided to hide in that slug roe home in Taos, New Mexico, in which you two couldn't wait to come out. After your birth, your crew decided to get you and your family to safety the moment they got you away from Earth to where God knows where. After that, I got word that Sam and Dean had a little spat, made up, and tackled a psychic who was killing other psychics in which they had one's remains burned."
"I heard about how one of them ended up getting sick while taking the trials," said Navora. "It's what Mom and Dad told us, but we were still babies when we left Earth."
"This place will be a sanctuary," I declared. "You can also make it a clubhouse while honoring the memory of your parents in which they're now laid to rest."
"About that…," said Drusus. "According to the Driftwood Clan, one of the Draaza matriarchs who lives there is more than likely to be—"
It wasn't long until we heard footsteps approaching the moment we saw Minara rushing towards the mess hall through the lift. What we didn't expect was that he was holding a letter as it was addressed to me in the first place. Opening it up, I saw it to be from Lyra as she was telling me about what the Lineage was really up to when it came to having them kidnapping Guido. When I looked at him, he was calm and focused as he was also trying hard not to lose his temper, for he was also about to hear a huge bombshell coming.
"What's with the letter?" he asked.
"It seems that the Lineage has its reasons to steal you for their purposes in mind," I said.
"What are you talking about?"
"According to Lyra, House Vizinar, which your mother is related to by blood, has a power known as the Sight of Valithis in which it is only inherited to the fourth child of anyone related to it."
"That's not all," said Minara gravely. "The Lineage will stop at nothing to kidnap you because of your abilities in which the offspring you could sire can surpass the Castellano Family who have been in power on Baratheon since the death of Father Warren two years ago. All they have banked on will go up in flames because of the fact that they only believe in natural means of delivering children instead of siphoning off of the gene banks of the Fallen. Once they find out that you had your way with Casey, they won't stop until they find and kill her for disrupting their plans."
Guido was alarmed as he had a gut feeling that the Lineage would stop at nothing to go after Casey for no reason. He couldn't let her go unattended as the group led by his would-be molester would go to great length to kill those who disrupt their plans. When he saw her entering into the mess hall, he had a newfound resolve to watch over her as she was looking around to see what was cleaned up earlier. With Drusus and Minara looking all over the mess hall, both Guido and Casey were looking at one another as they were more than just a pair of broken adults that had to be fixed. When the two girls saw her, they were use to her company as they walked over to her and gave her a warm hug. Both of them saw her to be a blessing as she later ran to Guido's side, for she was someone who brought him out of the dark place he was in over the years.
"You really know how to interact with the kids," he said.
"At first, I would stutter too much, but I feel more normal around everyone," said Casey.
"That's a start," I said. "Still, the both of you should be aware of what the Lineage would pull in which they don't deal with those who were born from the gene banks of the Fallen."
"Fuck the Lineage," said Guido. "They think of me as a walking seed bank just to be part of their 'natural selection,' but they won't get to me or Casey. If any of those clowns ever threaten to harm us, I'll clean their clocks so hard that they'll be shitting out razor blades."
"Be careful with what you say around the children," said Minara cautiously. "You should also watch what you say in which children are sensitive when it comes to the words you blurt out."
Guido stared at Navora and Tezoa as he was starting to blush from the embarrassment of what Minara told him earlier. Even though he was mainly a Cetra, he also had an old habit of swearing like a sailor as he also had to tone down what he had to say. When all of us were ready to leave the mess hall, we walked into the cargo hold as it was still on cleanup the moment I later spotted an unopened room that wasn't used in centuries. Walking towards it, I saw it to be a codex room as I noticed it to be like the others the moment I saw a computer scanning my retina just in time to open it, for this was a room that was left intact for a long time.
"Greetings, Sam Winchester," said a computer voice. "You may now have access to our codex laboratory."
The door opened up as I saw various movie posters of old movies on the wall along with a box of old records. When I dug out one of them, I noticed it to be the album of Fleetwood Mac's Rumours as it was intact and in its wrapper. What I didn't expect was that Navora and Tezoa burst into the room as they went towards an old stereo system that consisted of a compact disc player and a few odds and ends that were attached to it. Turning it on, they searched into a box as they dug out a compact disc copy of the album that I found. Opening it up and placing it into the stereo, they turned it on as we all heard music coming from the old contraption that filed the entire wreckage of the Chiniquy, for it was a relief to hear something after all that trouble.
The sound of Fleetwood Mac's "Never Going Back Again" filled the room as it was something that both Navora and Tezora were used to. I never expected their parents to have so much nostalgia in the codex room before as it was a reminder of what was put there in the first place. Even Guido was cautious as he entered into the room in which he also didn't want any surprises at this moment, for he had his fair share of dealing with a gaggle of mimics a few days ago.
"At least there aren't any treasure boxes with teeth wanting to eat you in here," he said.
"This is what Mom and Dad kept," said Navora. "They liked most of the old stuff in which they have two copies of the record albums they got: a record to keep pristine and a compact disc to play with."
"And their albums consist of collecting Fleetwood Mac," I said as I examined the further albums that were in the box. "They loved to collect what most hunters listen to during the Elder Days, but preserving what they had was a way and mean to keep the past intact."
"Hey! I like Fleetwood Mac!" yelled Tezoa defensively. "Mom and Dad used to play a mix disc that had some of the songs from the albums they collected! I even liked their live album, The Dance."
I continued to look through the box of albums as I noticed a book that was hidden at the bottom. I saw it to be a journal as it detailed the influx of Leviathans that crawled around since the time of the Elder Days. What I didn't expect was that I saw a seal that was similar to some of the noble Draaza houses who hid in the shadows for centuries in which I saw it to be that of House Vizinar due to the fact that they were mainly dealing with hiding the Sight of Valithis. The entries I read were sad as some of the families that sprang from them had to live in the shadow of their outstanding pedigree just to covet and abuse what was out of their reach, for this was also a way and mean to keep it further away from those who would abuse it.
"What did you find?" asked Guido.
"It's a journal entry," I said. "From what I know is that House Vizinar piloted the Chiniquy until it split in half once it crashlanded into the desert. What I didn't expect was that I found your blood relatives who were in stasis, but their parents didn't make it. As for the Sight of Valithis, it was passed down to every fourth-born child of those who shared a blood connection to it."
"What are you talking about?"
"House Vizinar was a pinnacle of Draaza nobility in which they lived in the shadows while battling monsters that threatened the innocent in the Elder Days. As for the Sight of Valithis, it fell to youngest son of Aldarra Vizinar, Solvai, who was running from the Leviathan threat with his wife, Quenna, who was carrying twins at the time. The entry in red ink states that the Leviathans were wanting more than just your typical all-you-can-eat buffet. They were wanting the Sight of Valithis in which it was a power that can bend everything to their will, but luckily, the youngest son from House Vizinar and his family were rescued and taken towards the Chiniquy while they left Earth for parts unknown."
"So, I have a blood connection to those two little munchkins that were found… That makes sense, but I won't let anyone lay a finger on them. As for the Lineage that's been coming for me, they can suck it 'cause there's no way in hell that they'll be getting a piece of me. I know that I'm damaged goods, but I can't let anyone else be in the crosshairs of those who would take what doesn't belong to them."
It wasn't long until I noticed a sphere on the floor as I picked it up to see it turning on. What I didn't expect was that Bobby was there in the holographic image as he was mainly ranting about my past self and Dean's problems at the time. It was a moment of nostalgia that I spotted as it was also a time of fear due to the Leviathan threat that occurred at the time.
"You can't just be going separate ways all because you took out a kitsune," said Bobby on screen as he was holding a smartphone in his hand. "We're fighting tooth and nail against the monsters that sprang up from the black ooze that Castiel leaked out of before he evaporated." He pauses for a split second. "I got word from Totsuka that our piranhas in human clothing have been tracking everything in which I've been using one of his burner phones with a damper. Therefore, he's been doing our milk run while we're not in the usual Motel 6's at this time. In the meantime, I suggest that you find Sam, kiss and make up, and get your asses moving 'cause those sharks with black ooze are invincible, but they're wanting to make this planet their dinner plate and not stopping."
The holographic image faded as I saw Bobby running into the room. He noticed the codex room carefully as he saw what the likes of House Vizinar had collected over the centuries. He also saw the albums that were encased in plastic wrap as he recognized Fleetwood Mac's Rumours album directly due to the art on the cover. He also saw the posters of mainly those from the original Batman quadrology due to what was put on them, especially the dismal closer to it, Batman & Robin. It was a treasure trove of what was put there as he also couldn't forget about how Solvai and Quenna were hiding in the slug roe home he was in at the time, for he had a soft spot for their daughters who were there thriving.
"It's been a while since I last saw you two," he said.
"You're full of surprises, Mr. Kitty," said Tezoa as she petted his fur.
It wasn't long until Salindria burst into the cargo hold as she was holding another letter. The look on her face became serious as she ended up giving the letter to me. When I opened it up, it was a message from Claudia as she was telling me about how the Lineage were targeting Guido for his ability to possess the Sight of Valithis. Still, I had to protect him as dealing with those who would end up taking him away without warning, for the Lineage won't stop until they get what they want.
"This came in from the Dowager Empress of Baratheon," said Salindria.
"She's sharp, but her news about dealing with the Lineage is a serious case," I said.
"That isn't all… When Bartolomeo Ciccio was extradited back to Baratheon, he was screaming about how the Order refuses to give back 'this precious child' to the Lineage because they consider him to be a prized brood stallion than a person."
"He's in a jail cell, but he won't come near Guido again…" I see him shaking in fear as he remembered the name that was mentioned. "I won't let the Lineage take you away. You are a humanoid being, not a commodity or a tool that can be used until you're deemed useless. You are worthy and that is enough for you in mind."
"You better believe it because even Mr. Kitty knows about this," said Navora as she was holding Bobby. "We're also your relatives in which we can't let you get taken away. Besides, family doesn't with blood, right?"
It wasn't long until we saw several members of the Order arriving out of the lift as they were eager to assess the situation that was at hand. It was something that had to be dealt with as I noticed Lyra approaching in which she was more than likely to be holding a decree of guardianship for the two Draaza girls who were found, for they were also not only in danger, but related to Guido through the blood connection that they shared.
"I've talked with the Driftwood Clan in which they will be given guardianship to the two Draaza girls you found," she said. "The very reason is that some of their family members through blood or other means live in their homestead in which it's a place that is surrounded by desert and windcatchers to filter out the air to produce water to satisfy any thirsty traveller."
"I see what you mean because of the fact that they're also related to Guido," I said.
"Navora and Tezoa will be cared by Rowan in which he's no stranger with dealing with the harsh environment throughout the Diamond Dunes."
"They're also related to—"
"—House Vizinar? They were a powerful Draaza clan, but most of their relatives have been living on Baratheon for centuries."
"Don't forget; if those girls ever come of age and marry to produce children, their fourth child will inherit the Sight of Valithis," said Salindria cautiously. "For the record, the Lineage isn't the only group that want their hands on it, but the Leviathans who live on Harkonnen as well."
"They're not getting to what I have," said Guido defiantly. "I'm not budging to any flying monkey who wants to abuse what I have dormant 'cause I'm a humanoid being, not a commodity or a tool that can be used to the point of being rendered useless. I am worthy, for that is enough for me in mind."
Guido stood firm as he wasn't about to be roped into submission by those who would want to covet what he had. I was also blessed that he was standing his ground and establishing boundaries as he was now getting a little bolder despite the trauma he suffered from, for this was a way and mean to keep all his excess baggage at bay for now…
