"I think this looks nice." Mion smiled, holding up the sundress she had gotten from a rack.
"I like your tastes." Rosa smiled as she looked at it, still in the kimono from earlier.
After the meeting and Rosa getting some payback from Shion, the Sonozaki family decided to take Rosa shopping for new clothes. Rosa thanked them again as she headed out with Mion and Shion.
"Guess that's another one, then." Mion put the sundress in the basket.
"I think it looks nice." Shion smiles, rubbing her head again. She looks at Maria in her arms. "Don't you think so, Maria?"
"Shion." Maria smiled.
"I think Rosa is still mad at you, so you might be pushing it." Mion giggled.
"I'm not mad at Shion." Rosa sighed. "Just furious because that suit costs so much."
"On the plus side, you're shopping with us." Mion smiled. "I'd say it worked out."
"You always know how to spin things, don't you?" Rosa rolled her eyes. "Now I see why everyone views you as the group leader."
"Stop it." Mion blushed and scratched the back of her head. "You're embarrassing me."
Rosa shook her head as she kept checking out the other clothes. She then looked up at Shion.
"Hey, why don't you take Maria to look at clothes?" Rosa smiled. "I'm sure your family won't mind if she gets some new clothes too."
"I'm sure they wouldn't either." Shion smiled as she carried Maria to the kid's section.
"I think your sister is getting better at caring for Maria." Rosa giggled as she turned back to Mion.
"I think she secretly wants to be a mom someday." Mion smiled. "She's always been like the mom of the group, looking out for us."
"Is that why she's not openly admitting she's really the oldest?" Rosa asked.
"I guess I should have expected that after what I said." Mion sighed. "But yes, she's secretly the oldest."
"And threw away being the head of your family?" Rosa raised an eyebrow.
"It wasn't like it was on purpose." Mion dropped her shoulders. "We would switch with each other constantly just for fun, and when we did, it was when they sent her away and assumed I was the oldest."
"Sent her away?" Rosa frowned.
"Our family has a tradition." Mion frowned. "When twins are born, one has to be killed so there's no battle for control of the family."
"What!?" Rosa's eyes went wide.
"It's really old, I swear." Mion raised her hand to try to calm Rosa down. "But they still don't want any fight for power, so Shion was sent away to an academy, and I was kept here."
"Geez, to take your twin away from you, though." Rosa frowned. "That's not right."
"I know, but the important thing now is she is here." Mion smiled. "That's what's important to me."
"I see." Rosa sighed before smiling. "She's definitely not like my sister then."
"You mean Eva?" Mion raised an eyebrow.
"Yeah." Rosa frowned. "She's not the oldest, yet she still argues that she deserves to be the head for being better in every way. She does that constantly with my older brother Krauss."
"Your sister doesn't sound nice to be around." Mion placed her hands on her hips.
"Is it any wonder your sister threatened her with a Taser?" Rosa laughed.
"Fair point." Mion giggled. "I would have done the same, too."
"And so would have Satoko, Keiichi, Rena, and even Rika. I could see doing that." Rosa smiled.
"Rika might be questionable, but I agree with everyone else." Mion smiled back. "Then I'd have to calm them down before doing that."
"I'm sure you could." Rosa sighed as she started looking at jeans to buy. "You're a great leader."
"Thanks, Rosa." Mion smiled as she helped look for her. She picked up a light pair of jeans. "Maybe you should get a pair lighter instead of just darker."
"I'm sure that would be a good look too." Rosa nodded. "You can put it in the basket too."
"Got it." Mion smiled as she did.
"You know, you remind me of my niece, Jessica." Rosa smiled. "You both wear the same ponytail, and both of you naturally take charge."
"Really?" Mion looked at her. "She's not evil like almost everyone in your family, is she?"
"Not at all." Rosa giggled. "She cares more about music and her band. I bought her a guitar for her eighth birthday."
"Awe, you really are the best aunt." Mion smiled.
"She was a little embarrassed to tell her parents she wanted one, so I gave it to her." Rosa smiled. "After she unwrapped it, Krauss asked why Jessica never told him she wanted to get into music. She told him she thought he'd be against it, but he smiled and told her he would let her learn music if she wanted to."
"Geez, when he's not a horrible brother, he sounds like a great father." Mion frowned.
"Guess that's one way to put it." Rosa sighed.
"It's nice you don't take your anger out on Jessica, though." Mion smiled.
"She never did anything bad to me, so I won't treat her like she's guilty of something her father did." Rosa smiled.
"You really are the best aunt ever." Mion smiled as she nudged her. Rosa just rolled her eyes as she kept looking for other jeans to get.
Meanwhile, Jessica was lying on her bed, holding the guitar Rosa had bought her. A Fender Stratocastor. The same guitar musicians like Jimi Hendrix, Eric Clapton, George Harrison, and John Lennon used. Jessica thought it was the coolest thing as a kid and didn't expect her aunt to buy it for her.
"Jessica?" Krauss walked by her door, which was open. "You doing alright?
"Yeah, Dad." Jessica sighed.
"Okay, sweetie." Krauss smiled as he backed away.
"Hey, Dad." Jessica looked up at him.
"Yes?" Krauss stopped.
"Does Aunt Rosa really hate us?" Jessica frowned.
"Hates us?" Kraus raised an eyebrow. "What gave you that,"
"I heard you talk to Mom about what Aunt Rosa said to Aunt Eva." Jessica cut him off, frowning. "Does she really hate us?"
"Jessica." Krauss sighed as he sat on her bed. "I have no idea what Rosa said to Eva. Chances are, Eva could just be overreacting to a fight she had with her."
"But she's never brought up Rosa hating all of us." Jessica looked down."Did I screw up not caring more about my little cousin?"
"I promise, if Rosa is mad at our family, it doesn't include any of you kids." Krauss put his hand on her shoulder. "Whether it's you, Battler, or George, she would never hate you."
"Then why would she say that?" Jessica looked back up.
"That's why I'm going to talk to her personally." Krauss sighed. "And I'm happy you want to go because I think she wants to see you and know you want to meet your little cousin."
"You think Maria will like music?" Jessica held her guitar.
"I'm sure she will." Krauss smiled. "I'm sure she will look up to you much more than you realize."
"I wish I had sent something to her, though." Jessica sighed. "She's already a year old, and I never got her anything."
"Why don't we run and get something before we head there?" Krauss smiled. "I'm sure we could find something perfect for Maria and Rosa."
"I'd like that." Jessica smiled. "Thanks, Dad."
"You're welcome, sweetie." Krauss hugged her before getting up and leaving her room.
