Episode XXXII (32): Trouble in Toontown

Natius found himself in a dimly lit alley of an alternate Los Angeles, where toons and humans coexisted. The sight made him uneasy, and he had no idea if his father was alive or even present in this strange place.

"Why am I here?" he muttered to himself.

A sudden noise caught his attention. He turned to see Jessica Rabbit closing the trunk of a car, where her husband Roger was locked inside. She was slipping a frying pan into her purse.

"Are you lost, ma'am?" Natius asked, his voice trying to keep a calm demeanor.

Jessica's eyes flickered with a mixture of concern and determination. "No, but you might be." she replied cryptically, as her hand was subtly reaching for a small vial of toon chloroform hidden in her purse.

Natius turned around to call Zander on his phone, but to his shock, the phone began to play The Prayer, its pitch lowered by two semitones. As the lyrics "Sognamo un mondo senza più violenza," echoed through the alley, he felt a sudden push, sending him sprawling onto the concrete sidewalk. His phone skidded away, landing three feet from him.

Natius struggled to get up, but he felt something holding him down, he looked straight ahead, his heart pounding as he saw Zander searching for him with concern and confusion. The phone continued, "Un mondo di giustizia e di speranza," pleading for a world of justice and hope.

"Zander, help me! Hel-" Natius began to shout, but his voice was cut off.

"Ognuno dia la mano al suo vicino…"

Suddenly, a rag was pressed over his nose and mouth, forcing him to inhale the substance. As Natius's vision blurred and he began to black out, he heard Jessica's voice, soft and reassuring. "It's for your own good," she whispered.

Natius's vision began to become black as he struggled against the rag, but suddenly, a loud trilling jolted him back to reality. A toon ostrich from Fantasia, with her feathers ruffled and eyes wide as she was glaring at him.

"Watch where you're going, kid! This isn't some cartoon, you know." the ostrich yelled, flapping her wings in annoyance.

Natius blinked, the surreal moment snapping him out of his daze. He realized he was now in a sidewalk and across the street was the bar where Valiant would visit, the phone's music now a distant echo. The teen scrambled to his feet, his heart pounding, and looked around frantically for Jessica.

But she was gone, leaving only the faint scent of toon chloroform lingering in the air.

Danyal asked, "Got lost in a train of thought dwelling on what happened back in Atlantica?"

Natius argued, "No."

Danyal stated to Natius, "Nothing good comes from dwelling on things. So put that aside for a later time."

Figaro noticed a man in his late thirties to early forties with light dark skin, wavy brown hair and amber eyes. He was dressed in a uniform suitable for a war veteran.

Zander asked, "Is that my great grandpa Naveen? What's he doing here?"

Jeanette speculated, "I have a feeling that he's attending a funeral of one Adalric Roseraven after soldiers discovered his body."

Naveen was too busy talking with Adalric's youngest brother to even notice the heroes. Zander felt a sense of poignance as he stared at his great grandfather. He began to remember a dream he had in 2006 about being visited by his great grandparents and they told him to never ever give up on himself and to keep living as he had so much to learn.

Danyal asked Figaro, "Since the weasels have not made an appearance yet, should we talk to Benny the Cab?"

Figaro told them no and the reason was just because the weasels have not made an appearance, did not mean they were not out there causing trouble.

With that said, the heroes were about to wander around the city, when Bambi who was in his fawn form began to prance towards the heroes and he stated, "Jiminy Cricket and Pinocchio are in the Toon Town Tome Treasury. The cricket has some advice in regard to your possessed history teacher."

Natius asked, "He does? Where is it located. Does it have a public outlet for humans turned toons like us."

Bambi answered, "Yes. I can take you there. Not only do I need you to line up in a single file, but Figaro is also going to be behind you, to ensure you do not wander off. This city is not a safe haven "

The heroes followed Bambi to what appeared to be a mundane library.

Bianca looked at the library and she asked Bambi if he knew where he was going and the fawn told her that things would not always appear what they seem.

Bambi knocked gently on the door and a toon penguin noticed the fawn and opened the door allowing the heroes to step inside.

The inside of the library was expansive and had books flying around and talking portraits.

Bambi led them into a quieter room. Jiminy was studying a phrase in the Bible about self-sacrifice. Pinocchio told Jiminy that the heroes were here.

Pinocchio stated, "Unfortunately, we have some terrible news in regard to your history teacher. He has to take his own life, using your poisoned dagger, Natius."

Natius asked, "What? That can't be-"

Bianca added with tears welling in her eyes, "There has to be another way. We can't let him do this!"

Jiminy told her, "Sometimes in order to save others, sacrifices have to be made."

Natius knew that Pinocchio was telling the truth. If he were lying, his nose would grow long to show it. "Is there really no other way?"

The puppet boy shook his head sadly. "I'm sorry, Natius."

Bianca didn't want to believe it. "You're lying. You have to be."

"Bianca, his nose isn't growing," Zander snapped. "That means he's telling the truth."

Pinocchio stated, "However, if a human dies in Toon Town, they reincarnate as toons."

Bianca didn't feel reassured by that. "Is that supposed to give us relief? Because it's not working."

Pinocchio stated, "The reincarnation can help with redeeming his soul."

Bianca asked, "What about his community and his family?"

"You will have to be the ones to tell them his fate when you return home," said Jiminy.

Danyal stated, "No one would believe us if we told them about Judge Doom due to him being deemed a fictional character."

"We have to try, Danyal," said Zander. "Lying about it would disgrace Mr. Virgil."

"Zander's right." said Bianca as tears began streaming from her face, "We shouldn't hide Judge Doom based on that minor factor."

Danyal pointed out, "There's a probability that they might deem us suspicious of Mr. Virgil's death."

"We'll just have to take that risk," said Zander.

Jiminy stated, "Not unless you tell him that your teacher gave his life to protect you from a psychologically disturbed man."

Danyal felt tears welding in her eyes and she asked, "Why am I crying?"

"You shouldn't ask yourself that," Natius told her. "You have every right to cry about this." Even he wanted to cry.

"I understand how hard this is for you children," Jiminy was saying, "but you have to understand that there are some circumstances that cannot be prevented. Even your ancestors knew as much, despite their efforts to make a difference."

Bianca understood and agreed drying her tears. "Though the three Good Fairies raised Aurora, they could not prevent her from succumbing to Maleficent's spell."

Pinocchio stated, "To quote the Gospel of John, "No greater love than to lay down his life for his friends." Remember, I sacrificed myself in 1940 to save my father from drowning. Five years on February 23, which would be the winter of 1945, I was sent to Germany to retrieve the dagger of devotion from a man who laid down his life to allow his men to retreat during a fierce battle in Hurtgen Forest several months earlier. I made the sign of the cross and thanked that soldier for his service before reporting back to Mickey with the dagger."

Bianca narrowed her eyes. "It's a little weird for you to be so wise, given what a troubled puppet you were in your story."

"Bianca, he was taken advantage of," Jeanette snapped.

Pinocchio stated agreeing with Jeanette, "Jeanette's right, Bianca. You should know that Walt himself never intended me to be like my book counterpart."

Mahad laughed, "Your book counterpart is in my opinion a precursor to Chucky the killer doll."

Pinocchio asked, "Really?! That insult is far too soon at this point!"

Danyal snapped at Mahad, "That heretic doesn't exist yet. No, you can't go back and change the character."

Pinocchio pointed out, "I existed long before that heretical doll was even manufactured. Believe it or not Chucky was once a resident of the MGM Domain during 1988. In 1989, Chucky got caught trying to crash a 50th anniversary Jubilee of Oz by Dorothy and Glinda. As punishment for trying to crash the celebration, that possessed toy was banished to the Universal Domain in large part due to the rights of the rest of his franchise being sold."

Danyal laughed.

"What?" Bianca asked, not understanding what was funny.

"I thought of something," Danyal was saying. "Remember the time I called Jafar Cobra Commander?"

"The villain from G. I. Joe," Zander recalled. "That villain predates that Dark Master."

"And I know another villain who does: Mumm-Ra," Danyal added. "I was once tempted to call him by that demon's name too."

Mahad stated, "I would have laughed hysterically. What made you stop there?"

Danyal pointed out, "That demonic snake probably would have killed me right there at that point."

Bianca was still confused. "Wouldn't the Horned King be more suited for that insult? Mumm-Ra and the Horned King are both immortal villains."

"But Mumm-Ra is confined to his pyramid just as Jafar is confined to his lamp." Mahad argued.

Danyal giggled, "The look on his face would be priceless."

Zander stated, "Horned King is more like Skeletor's medieval competent older brother with antlers."

"At least we don't have to look forward to having to deal with Mumm-Ra," said Jeanette.

"That would mean meeting the ThunderCats. Though it would be an honor to some people, I don't know if I would last two seconds around those guys, given my cat allergies." Danyal stated. "They may look humanoid, but they're still feline in terms of traits and appearance regardless."

Jiminy Cricket stated, "I wouldn't be surprised if you would suffer from anaphylactic shock around them."

"What about that allergy medicine Master Yen Sid gave you?" Natius asked.

Jiminy stated, "You need to understand that ThunderCats is not part of our domain."

"They're from the Warner Domain like the Heroes of Millennia," Pinocchio pointed out. "Our properties would be useless there. And yet, minions of the Dark Masters have smuggled materials from the Warner Domain for their own uses."

"Like the poppy fog," Danyal said, recalling what happened in the past.

Pinocchio overheard her and he stated, "While poppy fog is a non-lethal anesthetic, it's still not to be trifled with."

Natius asked, "Why?"

"If poppy fog was mixed with toon chloroform," answered Jiminy, "it will quickly knock you out and potentially the user without a breathing mask. However, if it's applied to a face cloth like those soap operas and toon villains, then it will knock you out as soon as it seeps into your senses."

"But wouldn't mixtures of substances also be a cause of death?" Mahad asked.

"Toon chloroform is vastly different from the chloroform you humans use. It has no solvent burns or poisoning." answered Jiminy "Also, toon chloroform is relatively more harmless than real chloroform though it has a dizziness side effect."

Pinocchio added, "Another side effect is hearing or seeing things that are not even there."

Bianca muttered, "Good Lord. I can't imagine being forced to breathe in a substance like that."

Natius agreed with her, and he began to feel a sense of uneasiness.

Pinocchio stated to Natius, "Ted Valiant would like to ask you questions in regard to whatever's troubling you. He wants to know more about you and your situation in particular."

Natius was confused as he thought that Ted was killed when a toon dropped a piano on his head.

Danyal having seen the movie many times asked, "How can Eddie's brother help us? He was killed when a toon dropped a piano on his head from 15 stories."

"Things are not always what they appear." said a charismatic voice.

The voice came from a suave toon anthropomorphic fox who almost looked like Honest John; however, his fur had a deep burned orange like the color of a maple leaf in the fall season in New England streets. He was also wearing clothes suitable for a private investigator of his time consisting of a beige trench coat and an aged beige fedora. The fox also had calculating blue eyes framed in squared glasses.

Danyal asked, "Who are you? Honest John's American cousin?"

The fox answered, "In life, I was a private investigator alongside my brother and co-founder of Valiant & Valiant, Eddie Valiant. My name was Teddy Valiant. I go by Ted Valiant now, to maintain my human death."

He noticed Danyal and for a split second, he thought he was looking at Dorothy Gale but then he noticed the young woman's hair was down and she wore eyeglasses that were rounder and more wired than his.

Ted faced Natius and he stated, "Someone told me that you and your companions need help with something. I want to talk with just you and the bespectacled girl."

Danyal asked him, "Why do you want to question me?"

Ted replied, "I need to know what I'm dealing with. I thought I saw Dorothy Gale for a split second."

Danyal explained, "She was my father's maternal grandmother."

Ted, Natius, and Danyal entered a more private room adjacent to Jiminy Cricket's location, Ted took out a cigarette and he asked Natius, "What brings you and your small group here?"

Ted lit his cigarette using his lighter as Natius began to tell him about how Mr. Virgil changed when he was demonically possessed by Judge Doom when the man was furious with a student that carved his desk and had the student sand off the insult and ordered that student to pay a 75 dollar fine for the damages.

Smoke curled above Ted's face in the form of a halo as he listened to Natius' story.

Natius noticed that the fox's grip on the cigarette tightened as though hearing Judge Doom's name had fueled something inside of Ted.

Ted felt a burning desire for justice, and he asked if Mr. Virgil showed any symptoms of demonic possession.

Natius still remembered that haunting image of Mr. Virgil's eyes. The burning red eyes, instead of the rich and intense brown eyes passed down from Pacha.

Ted told Natius, "I can take you and your friends to a hotel that has dealt with human turned toons."

Danyal asked, "So you're going to help us from preventing him from taking his own life?"

Ted inquired, "Who told you of that?"

Danyal answered, "Pinocchio's nose wasn't growing, but he said that Mr. Virgil has to take his own life, using a poisoned dagger."

Ted stated, "Toons can be smartasses at times given their self-awareness. I suggest you'd take it with a grain of salt."

With that said, the heroes began to follow Ted to an apartment complex almost resembled the apartment complex that Valiant's office would be located. However, it was full of toons of the time. Among the toons was one of the squirrels from Snow White.

Natius asked the squirrel why he was here.

The squirrel stated to Natius, "I hired Ted to bring you kids here. This apartment complex is for those who maintain a sense of humanity. Tomorrow, Snow White wants to talk with you about your dagger. Mr. Eddie Valiant will point to you where she'll be located."

Natius was confused as to why Snow White wanted to talk with him, and he suddenly began to think that Snow White had an answer in regard to saving Mr. Virgil.

Danyal asked the squirrel, "What do you know about the demon on Bald Mountain?"

The squirrel answered as he was paying Ted, "Seven years ago, Chernabog tried to free himself due to the chaos that was spreading across the world at the time. However, the Big Five of Disney with the help of Master Yen Sid sealed the demon inside of Bald Mountain. The sacred weapons that you possess now can help face up to him. There is also an inevitable event that will come to pass. You might want to get some rest."

Natius began to have a dream about being at a corner that was adjacent to the Maroon Cartoon studios. Natius noticed a toon rabbit being dragged and he quickly took out his phone and began to call Zander and placed him on a speaker mode, so he would listen to whatever instructions Zander would give him.'

Natius was shocked to see Jessica Rabbit placing her husband into the trunk and he stated, "Oh my God, they have Roger."

Zander told Natius not to panic to place the phone down and yell the description of anyone that would see him.

Natius knew where this was going as he remembered those TV spots of an action movie that his mother cautioned him about. Nonetheless, just as he was about to place the phone down, he felt himself sprawling onto the sidewalk.

The phone suddenly began to blare out the bridge to The Prayer in the same lowered pitch from his bad daydream.

Natius then suddenly felt something holding him down.

Natius began screaming, "Zander! Help me!"

Suddenly he felt a rag pressed against his face. Just as he was about to black out, he heard Danyal's voice yelling, "Natius! Get up. We have a framing case."

Natius woke up and he asked, "What?"

Danyal answered looking at him with a stern expression on her face, "We've got an infuriating frame-up case. Unfortunately, Mr. Acme had a safe dropped on his head."

Mana asked, "Does this mean Marvin Acme is reincarnated as a Toon?"

Danyal answered, "No. Especially if he was killed outside of Toon Town."

Nausicaä asked, "Should we help with the man's drinking problem? I thought my father had to go through that time, but Valiant has a prejudice against toons. So, we need to be careful with him."

With that said, the heroes headed to the Acme Factory. The Acme Factory was a gag shop that served as a gatekeeper for Toon Town. Natius looked at this with amazement, wondering if his ancestors were waiting for him there. Mr. Valiant told the heroes that the factory was off limits. However, Figaro told Valiant that they were his students trying to find a way to visit Snow White.

Valiant's eyes widened at Figaro and Danyal advised Valiant that excessive alcohol use was endangering his health.

Valiant told the group that they were wasting their time, and he asked them, "You sure are a colorful bunch of cartoons, aren't you?"

Danyal stated, "We're actually humans. We may look like toons, but we have human souls nonetheless."

Valiant rolled his eyes at them and demanded them to leave.

Natius felt a sense of shock when he saw a cane.

The cane depicted a weasel's head, and the owner was Mr. Virgil, however he was not himself as sunglasses were hiding his eyes from the world.

The man asked, "Is this boy removing evidence from the scene of a crime?"

Natius cried, "Mr. Virgil!"

Judge Doom ordered, "Do not ever call me that, boy!"

Natius was shocked to hear that!

Natius asked, "What the hell is wrong with you?!"

Judge Doom commented, "If I hear another word from you, you will be sent to a mental hospital."

Natius wasn't crazy, but he could sense that something was wrong, and his teacher was not present. It was true. His history teacher was possessed by an evil being.

Judge Doom demanded Natius, "For a descendant of an alleged fairy tale character, your heart is not ready for the element of kindness. I would advise you to give me your dagger."

Natius began remembering the dream he had at Notre Dame, and he replied, "Why should I?"

"The dagger is of no use to you," Judge Doom snapped. "The Dark Masters will make better use of it."

Natius replied, "Well the answer is still no."

Judge Doom gritted his teeth. "That wasn't a request."

Natius replied as the nightmare was flashing in his mind, "I'm not going to let you run around with a poisoned dagger. Also, there's neither honor nor redemption in taking your life, Mr. Virgil."

Judge Doom argued, "You'll never awaken your kindness."

Natius began matching wits with his foe. "Are you afraid of what will happen if I do?"

"I know what will happen," the judge replied. "The dagger will be purified. But I intend to make sure that doesn't happen. As long as the dagger remains in its current state, the Dark Masters will continue to covet it so it can be used against you."

"And if it should be purified, what then?" Natius asked.

A cold smile crossed the man's face. "You could use it to save Mr. Virgil."

Natius didn't believe him. "You're lying."

Judge Doom stated, "Why don't you ask your ancestress?"

Natius noticed two toons, one was a red and white shoe that kicked a man who was trying to move the deceased Marvin Acme, and the other was an adorable prairie dog.

Natius saw this little prairie dog as a possible candidate, but Judge Doom grabbed both toons and Natius grabbed the wrist holding the prairie dog having a firm grip on wrist, like how his dad would grab his wrist when he watched an Adult Swim anime behind the man's back!

Judge Doom asked, "Do I need to call the mental hospitals for trying to save a toon? My goal has been to reign in the insanity of this world."

Natius countered, "That's no excuse to kill innocent toons."

Judge Doom continued to goad him on. "The minister should have called you the mentally unstable one instead of the magpie."

"Shut up!" Natius yelled. "That disgrace to Catholics all over is the mentally unstable one!"

Natius squeezed the wrist of the cruel hard to cause him to let go of the prairie dog and he added, "You are close to be called just as mentally unstable as that bigoted demon!"

Judge Doom forced a smile through his pain. "Keep it up, boy. The more you give in to your anger, the more impossible it'll be for you to become worthy of the element of kindness."

Natius let go of the man and the prairie dog climbed on Natius's shoulder!

Judge Doom stated, "Mark my words, your ancestors are not going to help you in this world."

Natius asked after letting go of the possessed history teacher's wrist, "I thought that you would fear the dagger as your friend Rietherman was killed at the hands of Grimhilde when she pierced his heart. Is that true?"

"I do not fear the dagger," said Judge Doom. "It is your teacher who does."

Natius answered, "You should be. It has the power to condemn you to an eternity of suffering in the lowest circle of Hell."

"You would be afraid too if the dagger was pointed at you," the judge countered

Natius stated, " You're still not getting that dagger. Do you know what happened to that minister? His hand became a roasted meal for hungry animals."

"Do you know what will happen if the dagger were to pierce your heart?" Natius asked him.

Judge Doom used his freed hand to open a lid of a green acid-like liquid known as The Dip as he answered in a smug tone, "Your teacher will die in vain."

He held the toon over the dip, and he said in a cold tone, "I will catch the Rabbit. Try him, convict him, and execute him."

Vandela had enough of the prejudice displayed as she grabbed the wrist holding the toon shoe as she begged with tears forming in her eyes, "Please don't kill that innocent toon."

Judge Doom slapped Vandela in the face causing her to fall on the floor as he argued, "That abomination is nothing more than a drawing."

Vandela began to cry, and Judge Doom threatened, "I'll have you placed in a mental hospital for being delusional."

"Is that your response to everything?" Natius snapped. "Accusing innocent people of being crazy and having them locked up?"

Judge Doom replied, "Not necessarily. I'm trying to ensure that toons and humans stay away from one another."

"You can't do that," Natius protested. "Humans and toons depend on one another."

Judge Doom replied, "They're nothing more than drawings."

Judge Doom argued, "They are nothing more than drawings. I would recommend you wake up for once. Sooner or later there will be no need for toons anymore."

Bianca asked fed up with Mr. Virgil's behavior yelled, "What is wrong with you, Mr. Virgil? This isn't like you at all!"

Valiant asked, "Mr. Virgil? Who are you talking about?"

Judge Doom out of callousness melted the toon shoe into red paint causing Vandela to cry as she watched the toon shoe melt!

Natius didn't want to beleve that his own teacher had killed a toon.

Zander warned Natius, "That's not our teacher."

Judge Doom asked in a smug tone, "Who told you that? A ridiculous talking lion?"

Natius knew that it wasn't Mr. Virgil on the outside, but he knew his history teacher was somewhere inside.

Vandela could see it too. There was a struggle of souls.

Judge Doom asked showing the red paint on his glove, "Understand my point?"

Judge Doom walked over to Valiant and told him, "This is how we handle things in Toontown."

Danyal asked, "Doesn't the Rabbit have the right to a fair trial from the jury of his peers like humans?"

Zander told Danyal, "That's not Mr. Virgil."

"It doesn't matter," Jeanette snapped. "He's not following the ways of Justice."

Judge Doom left the heroes, and Vandela was devastated at the unjust execution.

Valiant asked Natius, "Who are you guys talking about? Who's Mr. Virgil?"

Natius sighed. How would he explain that his history teacher was possessed by an evil man?

Bianca answered, "He is our history teacher, Simeon Virgil. He's not himself because of a demonic possession."

Mahad added, "If you don't know what demonic possession is, it's when ghosts would control the mind and body of the victim merging with his or her consciousness in the process."

Valiant replied in a smug tone, "I know what demonic possession is, kid. So this Mr. Virgil is being controlled by a demon?"

"What else would he be possessed by?" Bianca asked.

Mahad stated, "She's right. Is there a way to help him?"

Valiant replied, "You might want to call an exorcist."

Mahad sighed. He didn't think Valiant was taking the matter seriously.

Natius stated, "I tried praying to Saint Michael for help, but all I got was a nightmare about Mr. Virgil killing himself."

Bianca asked Natius, "What? Why didn't you tell me?"

Natius answered, "I thought I would shrug it off."

To Bianca, this was serious. Ever since she and her friends came to this world, Natius was constantly having nightmares, and they were all the same. Some involved Mr. Virgil taking his own life or Natius being kidnapped and being locked in the backseat of Jessica's car.

Bianca snapped, "You should know better than shrug it off. You should've told me."

Natius replied, "I didn't want it to interfere with awakening warriors."

Danyal stated, "That's still no excuse."

Natius was on the verge of losing his temper. "What does it matter?" he asked with his voice raised. "If these nightmares are signs, then it means that the events about them are inevitable, right? That means there's nothing that can be done to change anything!" Tears began to fill his eyes. "And that scares me," he sobbed.

"Is that why you didn't say anything from the start?" Bianca asked. "Because you're worried that Mr. Virgil's fate is inevitable?"

"I don't want to believe it is," Natius answered. "I just want to try and prevent him from killing himself."

Valiant asked, "Why would he do that?"

"I don't know," said Natius. "But I can't let him take his own life. There's no honor or redemption in such an act."

Danyal stated to Natius, "Unfortunately, there are some things that are beyond our control, and we must gain the courage to accept it, no matter how tragic."

Valiant asked Natius, "What alleged fairy tale was the judge talking about?"

Natius answered, "He's talking about Snow White."

The toon prairie dog on his shoulder cried in a boy's voice, "I've heard of her. Her success launched the golden age of Toons."

Natius asked, "You know where she is?"

The prairie dog answered, "Yes. I can take you to where she's at now, she's probably talking with Walt. My name is Grant, by the way."

The heroes were led to the back of the Acme Factory to see Snow White talking with Walt who was at a loss because the 1940s was becoming a tough decade of his career.

Natius asked as he saw Snow White, "Snow White? Why are you here?"

Snow White looked at the group in bewilderment.

Natius cleared his throat. "I don't know if you remember me."

She did remember. "Ignatius. This is a surprise, seeing you here."

Natius was happy to be remembered, but the dagger was on his mind, and he asked Snow White showing her the Dagger of Grimhilde, "If I was to purify this dagger to its true form with an act of Kindness, will it be able to save my teacher even if he was to pierce himself in the heart with it?"

Snow White looked at the dagger. "The dagger cannot kill, not humans, anyway. Your teacher would feel nothing. Only the evil entity controlling him would be killed. But it would not have the evil effects now if it were to be purified."

It sounded almost too good to be true, but Natius was willing to do anything to save his teacher. "Please tell me how to purify the dagger. What can I do that would be considered an act of kindness?"

The princess shook her head. "I'm sorry. I can't reveal that. You have to discover the answer yourself."

Grant stated, "He has shown kindness by saving my life."

Natius shook his head. "I didn't do that out of kindness. I did it out of anger for the demon who was about to kill you."

"You can't let your anger keep getting the better of you," Snow White reprimanded.

Natius answered, "I should've known better than that. He was still physically Mr. Virgil. Though the demon threatened to throw Vandela into a mental hospital. It's not like Mr. Virgil to even say that."

"Except he didn't say it," Mahad reminded him. "Judge Doom did."

Natius stated to Snow White, "Thanks for the advice."

Natius began to have memories of the nightmares of being kidnapped and he asked, "Are there any toons that I need to be aware of?"

Snow White stated, "Be careful when you see Jessica Rabbit. She can be as cunning as a fox."

Natius stated, "I'll do what I can."

Zander noticed Natius's eyes being filled with fear from the bad dream of being kidnapped and he stated, "You should tell Snow White about that nightmare."

Natius asked, "Why should I?"

Even Anakin thought it was pointless. "It's obvious she's telling Natius to help himself with his problems."

Mana stated, "He's got a point guys."

Mahad nodded in agreement. "We can't ask her to help us only to solve Natius's problems for him. That would be too easy. If Snow White just gives him the answers, then Natius isn't really accomplishing anything."

"Don't worry, I get it," Natius snapped. "I still have a lot to learn."

Anakin smirked at Natius. "You're a lot like Adam, you know. You let your anger get the better of you like it's the only solution to everything. But really, it just makes things worse."

Danyal began laughing and she smiled, "He's got you right there, hamster boy."

Natius scowled at her.

Toboé tried another approach. "Remember when Smith was almost executed? Powhatan realized how anger can lead to violence and destruction. That showed him how being understanding can bring harmony."

Natius looked at him. "How can you expect me to be understanding of my enemies?"

"Because I have a speculation that it might help you realize what true kindness means," Toboé said.

Vandela commented, "He's got a point. Mr. Virgil is struggling against that disgraced judge. We need to find a way to reach out to that man's soul."

Bianca asked, "What can we do for the time being?"

Zander looked at Natius and he asked Natius, "Are you feeling all right? You seem out of it."

Natius sighed in exasperation. "Why do you all keep asking the same question again and again? You know what we have to do. We have to save Mr. Virgil and find a way home. And to do that, we have to go as the mission progresses: help the warriors discover their elements."

Mahad asked Figaro, "What are the elements of Toontown?"

"There's only one: humor," the kitten answered.

Mahad stated, "We need to find the warrior quickly."

Natius stated, "The man lost his brother at the hands of a toon. I bet Pegasus would severely punish the toon for committing a mortal sin by sending his soul to the Shadow Realm."

Anakin laughed in amusement. "That mythical flying horse?"

"No," Natius replied. "From Yugi's world." He remembered that Maximillion Pegasus had a deep love and passion for cartoons. The thought of him being a defender of toons made Natius smile in amusement.

At the mention of Yugi's name, Toboé started thinking about Mokuba and wondered how he and his friends were doing. He also wondered if they were still making frequent visits to Paris.

Mahad knew who Natius referred to and he stated to him, "I bet Kisara the dragon would give the villains a reason to fear the light."

Danyal pointed out, "Mr. Pegasus does not have the Millennium Eye anymore."

Valiant didn't know what they were talking about, and he told them that he would be in his office.

Natius felt a sense of agitation as he knew that Valiant was still not taking this seriously, and just as he was about to follow him to potentially meet Roger, he noticed two toons bickering over Mr. Virgil's status. Questioning if whether or not Mickey should revoke the element from the poor history teacher who was being possessed by a demon.

What the toons didn't know was that it was not in Mickey's power to do so. He was a king, but not a being of divinity. Only the bearer itself could earn or lose the power of an element.

Natius asked the toons, "What are you arguing over?"

A toon weasel stated, "That man has committed something that would take more than a few Hail Marys to save his sorry ass! He murdered a Toon."

Bianca asked, "Who are you to judge that?! He's an innocent man possessed by a demon from Hell!"

"There's no point reasoning with anybody," Anakin told her. "You know the toons around here don't listen to anyone."

Danyal asked, "Why are you arguing over a man you never met?"

A toon anthropomorphic black cat wearing clothes of the 1940s argued with the weasel, "She's got a point there. You know that humans are innocent until proven guilty."

"And vice versa," the weasel countered.

His comrade agreed. "Maybe it's the other way around."

Mahad asked, "What are you saying? Are you accusing our teacher of killing a toon. He wasn't himself."

"Like I said, guilty until proven innocent," the toon snapped.

Mahad groaned in frustration. How were he and his friends supposed to prove that Mr. Virgil was innocent?

Natius had to come up with a good defense and he stated trying to find a way to prove Mr. Virgil innocent, "He possesses the element of patience. one of the purest elements."

The weasel argued, "Not pure enough. I'm surprised that King Mickey hasn't punished him for his betrayal against us."

"The power of the element hasn't been corrupted yet," said Natius. "That means there's still good in him. If there wasn't, he wouldn't be able to represent it."

Ted asked, "Where's your evidence that he's being possessed by a devil?"

"His eyes are red right now," Natius immediately said. "Mr. Virgil doesn't have red eyes. Surely some if you have seen what he looks like."

Grant asked, "So you're saying he has a different eye color?"

Natius answered, "Yes."

Zander stated to the toon weasel, "I have seen the man's face during my classes and his eyes are a dark shade of brown, but he has a strict side to him from being a history teacher for six years."

Anakin interrupted him by saying, "A very boring one at that."

Danyal asked Anakin, "Why do you keep calling Mr. Virgil boring? Mr. Virgil may be a patient man, but he has lashed out on unruly students."

It didn't matter to Anakin. He wasn't Mr. Virgil's student.

Mahad whispered in Anakin's ear, "His ancestor helped an emperor learn some few things after being turned into a llama for his transgressions."

"Hmm?" Anakin responded.

"And it took a lot for him to be very patient with that llama," Mahad added.

Natius commented, "The man's name was Pacha."

Nausicaä smiled and she stated, "I bet that Mr. Virgil had a llama that helped him during his journey."

Natius stated, "I doubt it, those animals would be expensive to transport during the 1970s."

"But don't forget, Pacha's family owned a llama." Mahad pointed out.

Jeanette remembered, whenever her family passed by Mr. Virgil's property as they would drive her to school and bring her home from school, she would see a white llama. Jeanette once asked her teacher about the llama, and he said that his name was Garcia. She also remembered seeing a collar around the llama's neck with a pendant with a turtle engraved on it.

Mana asked taking out a pallet depicting a stylized turtle, "Is it possible that Master Yen Sid gave him that necklace?"

Bianca stated, "I seriously doubt that. Only because we don't know if Mr. Virgil had ever spoken with Master Yen Sid in his life."

Danyal stated, "In some cultures turtles represent the virtue of patience. The moral of the tortoise and the hare is that rushing is a careless impulse that usually results to failure and success can be only achieved by doing things honestly, steadily and slowly."

Bianca asked Danyal in confusion, "What does that fable have to do with anything?"

Danyal answered, "The tortoise used his patience as a way to succeed in winning against the hare. I always thought the tortoise in the story was a turtle."

Jeanette stated, "Let's be thankful the Dark Masters didn't capture Garcia."

Natius asked, "What if that necklace was like Toboé's?"

Danyal snapped at Natius as she noticed the toons were looking at them with suspicion, "We can discuss this stuff later."

She noticed a man who was wearing a business suit. He had black hair, but his eyes were covered with sunglasses. His name was C.B. Maroon. He was R.K. Maroon's twin brother, and he looked so much like his brother that some who see him would mistake him for his older brother.

The man regarded the heroes for a second, then looked away. Not wanting to cause any unnecessary trouble, Natius looked the other way as well.

Mana asked, "Who was he?"

The toon kitten answered, "That's R.K.'s younger brother, C.B. Maroon. He was talking to the manager of this building, Samuel Metro. You'll have to talk with that man if you need a place to stay."

Samuel Metro was a kindhearted man who had brown hair and disciplined hazel green eyes. He was wearing a black uniform with a red Mickey Mouse head symbol on the left-hand side of the chest area of the uniform.

He noticed the heroes and he asked, "Can I help you?"

Natius told him about their situation and Samuel was amazed to hear that these kids were trying to find their way home.

Natius noticed the symbol and as he was about to ask, Figaro began to guide the heroes to the room they were staying in.

The room was accommodated for a large crowd and Natius noticed a view of Toontown as he saw a cart being pulled by grief-stricken donkeys as they carried a coffin that contained Marvin Acme's body and a strange woman with red hair and green eyes dressed in black and lavender opera gloves. She was standing on a platform singing Ave Maria in an E flat major.

Natius felt suspicion towards the toon woman and Zander told Natius that he needed to talk with him in private.

He turned to Samuel and asked, "Mr. Metro. is there a private area to hold a small discussion?"

Samuel answered pointing to door depicting a toon mouse kneeling in penitence clasping its paw in prayer, "The door that has a praying mouse is where you can have your discussion. The walls do not have ears in that room."

Zander began leading Natius to the room as he noticed the door's symbol and he noticed was empty and he stated to Natius, "You've been acting jumpy. What is going on? Don't give me the silent treatment."

Natius knew there was no point in trying to lie to his friend and confessed to him about seeing flashbacks before his eyes.

Zander asked, "Was it about the nightmare of being kidnapped?"

"More than that," Natius confessed. "I saw someone who looked like the woman from my nightmare as I was looking outside."

Zander's eyes widened and he asked, "What else did you see out there?"

Natius answered, "Nothing else, but I want to talk about what happened back in Redwood Forest."

"I'm just scared of losing Mr. Virgil," he admitted worriedly. "What if I end up failing to save him?'

Zander sighed. He didn't want anything like that to happen either and he was also just as scared and worried. But he and Natius and the rest of their friends knew this much: they had to be prepared for whatever may happen.

Natius began to think about his own actions during his journey and he began to think about what Shan Yu told him.

He confessed, "I also have been having thoughts about what Shan Yu told me in China."

"What did he say?" Zander asked.

Natius replied as he remembered what that terroristic Hun leader told him, "He told me Grimhilde was close to bringing me to the Forbidden Castle."

"What? When was that?" Zander asked, confused.

Natius confessed, "In 2005 my family and I were at Redwood Forest. I saw an old woman cloaked in black."

At that time, Natius had wandered far from his parents. When he realized he was alone, that was when the cloaked figure appeared. Natius questioned her, wanting to know who she was and what she wanted. Then before he knew it, something attacked him.

As Zander listened, he started to remember Natius telling him and the others about this back in China.

Zander asked, "Did that woman say anything to you?"

Natius answered, "No."

Zander asked, "Are you certain?"

Natius began to remember that Grimhilde let out a shriek for Maleficent and he felt something striking him from behind his back.

"I remember you mentioning seeing Mickey battle this woman and then suddenly, you were attacked by some kind of magic," Zander recalled.

Natius answered, "Yes. I also remember that Mickey told me to run, and I did just that. Unfortunately, I felt something striking me from behind my back and I noticed a dark aura enveloping me. That's when I saw a portal that would lead me to a place that I thought only my nightmares would conjure."

Zander asked Natius, "Did you see anything as you were blacking out?"

Natius answered, "The Forbidden Castle. However, there was an intense burning light that destroyed the image, and I blacked out."

Zander moved closer to Natius. "The others will want to hear about this."

Natius asked, "What?"

"This isn't something you should be keeping to yourself," Zander told him. "You've tried and failed too often regarding your nightmares."

"I don't think it should matter," Natius argued. "Grimhilde is dead."

"And yet, you're still tormented by the memory of what happened."

Natius remembered the times that he would be laughed at about those nightmares.

He knew Zander was right, though. He wasn't going to be able to keep this to himself or try to avoid it for much longer.

The two of them decided that enough had been discussed for now. When Natius stepped out of the room, he noticed Danyal was looking at them with tension.

Danyal stated to the two, "Unfortunately, we're on a race against time."

The boys asked, "What?"

Danyal answered, "We need to help Mr. Valiant find the will before midnight tonight. Otherwise, Cloverleaf will own them."

Danyal noticed a toon gray owl pecking at the door as she heard a pecking noise.

Danyal walked closer to the window, and she opened the window letting the toon owl fly into the room as she backed away to the side of the room to avoid being attacked by the bird. Vandela gasped in surprise to see a human soul within the gray owl as it landed on the floor of the room.

Vandela took a step closer to the owl. "Did you come looking for us?"

The owl replied, "Yes. I am looking for one Omar Nasir. Mrs. Rabbit would like to have a word with you."

Vandela looked at Omar. "The owl is asking for you, Omar."

He approached the owl, wondering why Jessica Rabbit would want to see him.

The owl added, "She's waiting in the room with the praying mouse."

So, Omar went to the room, wondering what Mrs. Rabbit wanted.

Jessica Rabbit stated to Omar, "I need you to help me keep Natius safe from the man possessing that boy's history teacher."

Omar was baffled. "Why should I help you? You're the reason he's having these nightmares. And what do you know about Mr. Virgil?"

Jessica answered, "Mr. Virgil had been diagnosed with Post Traumatic Stress Disorder since 1996. If he is freed, he'll kill himself."

Omar asked his eyes widening in terror, "Why in the world would he want to do that?!"

Jessica explained, "Mr. Simeon Virgil had suffered abuse at the hands of the Dark Masters. Judge Doom begged Maleficent to turn him into his host, but at the cost of his own toon shell."

Omar's eyes widened and he asked, "Should I call a priest to exorcise that demon?"

Jessica replied, "Unfortunately no. That won't work. I sent out a toon mouse priestess to try that once and she came back psychologically scarred."

Omar asked slamming his hands on the table, "What do you want me to do?"

Jessica answered, "Hold Natius down while I apply an anesthetic on him."

Omar's eyes widened in shock, "What?!"

Jessica replied, "I advise you to be careful as he can struggle against you."

Omar cried, "With all due to respect, that's a crime of kidnapping!"

Jessica pointed out, "I plan on playing a familiar song for him."

Omar didn't want to have any part in whatever Jessica was planning because he knew it meant causing Natius to live his nightmare. But he remembered Snow White saying that facing the nightmare was for his own good and it was the only way to stop it.

Finally, he replied, "I'll help, but no tricks."

Jessica replied, "You will not regret this. Do you mind if I use that ballad that I performed?"

Omar asked, "Why?"

Jessica answered, "I thought of some music would help put his mind at ease."

Omar rolled his eyes in annoyance as he replied, "As long as you don't do this ever again!"

Jessica was about to walk away from the room and Omar stated, "Of all the songs, why this one?"

Jessica answered, "This song is more of a prayer from Snow White."

Omar asked, "What?"

"Please, no more questions," Jessica said in exasperation. "You must trust me."

Omar still felt uncomfortable about this, but there was no turning back now. He had agreed to help, meaning he had to trust her.

Omar stated, "I'll trust you, but I do hope that you know what you're doing."

Jessica walked towards the door and she stated, "Do not tell anyone about this. Not even that song."

She headed out of the room shutting the door behind her.

Omar exited the room, and he noticed that Roger was among the group, and he asked, "How did you get here? Why are you here? Instead of Valiant's office."

Roger answered, "He's already on my case. I need these kids to help me."

Omar groaned in frustration. "We've got our own problems. We don't have time to deal with a nuisance like you."

Natius stated as an overwhelming sense of sadness and fear were found in his tone of voice, "My dad has studied framing cases, and he always hated the fact that some people who were framed for murder end up executed anyway. I hate the thought of witnessing another execution of a completely innocent toon."

Omar's eyes widened at Natius asking, "You witnessed an execution?"

Natius answered as he felt tears in his eyes, "Yes. It was like the Green Mile all over again."

His friends understood his pain, having also witnessed the way Judge Doom executed an innocent toon.

Danyal stated, "Stuff like that always happened in the southern USA. To be honest, I'm appalled with what that callous judge had done. However, I think the sooner we purify that dagger, the sooner that demon will be facing a very livid Saint Michael."

The thought of it tormented Natius. How was he supposed to perform an act of kindness without being fueled by anger?

Roger asked as he noticed Natius's dagger, "What kind of dagger is that?"

Natius answered, "A poisoned dagger. I am trying to find a way to purify it, so my teacher won't kill himself. I hate the thought of him being abused by a demon who needs to be sent back to Hell!"

Zander groaned. "You won't be able to purify the dagger if you don't learn to control your anger."

Natius muttered, "You've got a point."

Roger asked Zander, "That dagger is magical?"

Natius answered, "No. It is tainted by the envy of the stepmother of my ancestress. A maiden who befriended seven dwarfs."

Roger was astonished to hear Natius reveal that the famous Snow White was his ancestress, but upon hearing how the power of the dagger was evil, it was a little frightening.

Natius stated, "I don't plan on using the dagger unless for self-defense especially when the lines of innocence and guilt have become blurred by childish prejudice."

Roger gave a sigh of relief. "I knew I could trust you. I knew you were the right guys I could depend on."

"Settle down," Zander said. "What do you need our help with?"

Roger explained to them about the weasels and a strange man who was talking with them.

Roger added, "I was going to give my letter to Jessica, but the weasels were waiting for me."

Natius asked, "Why come to us?"

Roger confessed, "A lucky rabbit told me about you kids."

At the mention of the term 'lucky rabbit,' Natius wondered if he was referring to Oswald.

Roger stated, "The lucky rabbit is Mickey's half-brother."

Danyal cried, "Oswald. Why is he involved?"

Roger answered, "Oswald watches over Toontown during Night."

"Why don't you ask him for help?" Bianca suggested.

"It's daytime," Roger said. "He won't be out at this time."

Mana asked, "When can we see him?"

Roger stated, "Tonight might be the last night."

Natius asked as concern was growing in his voice, "Why?"

Danyal answered, "The company with the highest bid gets to own Toontown. Unless the will of Marvin Acme shows up by this night on the strike of twelve, that company will own Toontown."

"That's why I need your help," Roger pleaded. "You guys just gotta help me and Valiant find that will so we can save Toontown."

Danyal knew where it was, but she didn't want to tell Roger. Her concern was that Roger would not awaken as a warrior.

Roger asked Danyal, "You know something?"

Omar, on the other hand, didn't like the way things were going. He made a deal with Jessica, and it would be a matter of time before it would be time for her plan to be put in motion. That wouldn't give the heroes enough time to help Roger.

Mahad stated placing his hand on the shoulder of the man, "Let's go. We need to have a serious talk."

Natius looked at Valiant and he asked, "Do you know anything about Cloverleaf?"

The name was unfamiliar to Valiant.

Natius asked Valiant, "What do you know about Cloverleaf?"

"I don't know what you're talking about," he answered.

"It's an organization trying to eliminate cartoons and animation," Natius clarified.

Valiant stated, "At least it's doing us a favor."

Natius replied, "No. It will not. It will wipe out the existence of humor, joy, and melt away everything Toontown had stood for."

But Valiant didn't care about any of that. To him, it was bad enough that he was stuck helping Roger. Unfortunately, he had to do it whether he liked it or not.

Natius had enough of the man's behavior, and he stated, "Cloverleaf must be shut down before it causes more trouble than it's already in."

Danyal pointed out, "One problem, there are weasels out looking for an innocent rabbit. Plus, we don't know who the founder is."

Grant stated, "Be thankful that the man hasn't figured out where Roger is."

Natius noticed a weasel walking towards him.

Meanwhile outside the bar, Omar walked over to Jessica Rabbit's car, and he asked, "What time should we do so?"

Jessica suggested him to set an alarm for the time of 8:30pm that night when Valiant would head there to confront R.K. Maroon.

Natius was about to yell at Roger for singing at a bad time, when he noticed a familiar face.

Mahad cried to the man who grabbed Roger, "Mr. Virgil, have you completely lost your mind?"

Judge Doom looked at them and he stated, "You children will be sent to a psychiatric ward for the rest of your lives for aiding a fugitive."

Roger Rabbit was not a fugitive, that much the heroes knew. Besides, such an accusation was not grounds for sending anyone to a psychiatric ward. There were greater consequences a person would face for helping a fugitive.

Judge Doom added, "I would recommend that you say good-bye to the Rabbit because you children need to be brought back to cold hard reality!"

Vandela sobbed at the fear of what the hospital would do to her.

Judge Doom stated, "I would recommend you stop crying over stupid and childish drawings. Once you watch the Rabbit get dipped, you will be sent to psychiatric hospital for criminals like you! Especially that magpie for trespassing!"

"Roger is innocent!" Vandela protested.

"You have no proof," Judge Doom said. "Besides, your king would not be forgiving if he found out you were helping fugitives. I heard he wasn't when he heard about those children from the Warner Domain."

"That's a lie," Natius shouted.

Judge Doom ordered Natius, "That's not a lie. Give me that dagger, I want to see if I can send the Rabbit to Hell."

Natius kept his grip on the hilt. "Touch my dagger and I'll see to it that you meet that fate first."

"Do that and you'll send your teacher to Hell with me," the judge warned.

Danyal pointed out, "I hate to burst your bubble, Mr. Virgil would end up in purgatory, not Hell."

It didn't matter to Judge Doom. He was determined to make sure Natius and the others would fail to save Mr. Virgil. That also meant he had to make sure Natius would not be able to purify the dagger. He just had to keep getting the boy to give in to his anger.

Natius noticed that Valiant was running into the bar to get Roger a drink.

This gave him an idea as he suggested, "Shouldn't the rabbit have one last request before his judgement is decided?"

Judge Doom began to think about it but reluctantly agreed.

Roger kept trying to deny having a drink with everyone trying to convince him that he wanted one. Then Bianca got wise and decided to try a tactic involving reverse psychology, telling Roger the opposite and convincing him that he didn't want a drink. Roger gave in to her tactic and argued that he did want a drink. So he grabbed the glass and drank from it.

Vandela took the lamp from Mahad, and she cried summoning the Genie, "I wish for Benny to transform into a car accustomed for large crowds, temporarily until the demon possessing that poor man is brought to justice."

Genie came out of the lamp, and he saw Vandela holding the lamp and he stated, "I never expected that someone like you to wish for something this."

With a snap of his fingers Benny was changed into a huge cartoon bus!

Bianca cried, "Holy shit!"

Benny cried, "Seatbelts everyone!"

Danyal shouted, "Eat your heart out, Magic School Bus!"

Once everyone was aboard and buckled in, Benny began driving off.

Benny asked, "Where do you children want to go?"

"Some place to hide." answered Bianca

Benny dropped the heroes off to the movie theater.

As soon as the heroes entered, they took seats in a higher place away from the audience.

Natius tried to stay awake for the movie, but he dosed off as he didn't sleep last night.

Natius looked around as he began to see himself in the alley of the Maroon Cartoons Studio.

Natius spotted Jessica and he asked, "Why do you want to kidnap me?"

Before Jessica would answer his question, a yell from Danyal shattered the dream who yelled, "Hey, rodent! Get on your feet and let's go! We have a connection."

Natius awoke to see an annoyed Danyal.

He moaned and rubbed his forehead as he was getting his bearings. "What are you going on about?"

Danyal answered, "Cloverleaf and Maroon Cartoons are connected to one another."

This was enough to make Natius fully awake. "Connected?!"

Danyal answered, "Correct."

Zander stifled a laugh as he noticed Natius trying to process what Danyal just said.

With that said, the heroes followed Valiant to Maroon Cartoons Studio.

Natius was about to walk into the building, but Zander stopped him, and he stated, "Me and you are going to watch over Roger."

Natius asked, "Why?"

"It's important that he stays in our sight and out of trouble," Zander told him.

Natius stated, "What kind of trouble would he possibly get into?"

Zander replied, "This is not a joke, Roger would end up getting captured like in that movie Taken."

Reluctantly, Natius agreed to stay with Zander and keep an eye on the rabbit.

Natius began playing with the media on his touch phone turned up the volume on his music as it played the song A Whole New World performed by Peabo Bryson and Regina Belle.

Zander was annoyed with the music, not that he hated the song, but he felt it was too early to even use that given that it was 1947, and he snapped, "Turn it off! This is 45 years ahead."

Natius didn't want to. "Come on, this is one of the best songs. It won best original song and the only Disney song to do that."

"It's not the appropriate time to play that song." Zander protested. "Besides, you're going to attract unwanted attention."

Natius scoffed. "No one's going to hear."

Zander turned off the music and he replied, "Like I said that song is out of place."

Natius heard a loud bang, and he asked, "Did you hear that?"

"Hear what?" Zander asked.

"It sounded like a door closing." Natius said. He looked around, wondering where the sound came from.

Natius stated, "I'm going to investigate this."

Zander didn't like the idea, and he stated, "I'm going call your phone to ensure that we stick together. Did you put it on speaker?"

Natius answered as he turned on the speaker, "Yes. I have it on speaker now."

Natius walked into the alley to find Jessica Rabbit placing Roger in the truck and was putting her frying pan into her purse.

Natius cried. "Oh my God! She has Roger."

Zander told Natius to place the phone on the sidewalk and yell any descriptions of the person who would take him.

Natius knew where this was going, but he decided to confront Jessica like what his ancestress told him.

Natius looked at Jessica with confusion and he asked, "Why do you want to kidnap me?"

Jessica approached the boy. "Please don't think badly of me for this."

Natius began to realize the nightmare was coming full circle tried to run to the car, but he felt something stopping him as he felt himself sprawling on the sidewalk! Natius' phone was fortunately not damaged, but now it was unfortunately 3 feet away from him. It began to blast the song.

Natius screamed as he felt something holding him down, "Zander!"

Zander heard how distressed Natius's voice sounded and asked, "Natius, what's wrong? Where are you?"

Natius was being held down a hooded figure who positioned the boy to a position where his face was seen by Jessica, and she took out a rag that was drenched in toon chloroform!

Natius yelled, "Zander! Help me! I'm in the alley on the other side of a building! Help!"

Natius continued crying out until the toon chloroform drenched rag came into contact with his face.

Natius suddenly felt his head spinning as the toon chloroform began to seep into his senses. He suddenly felt himself collapsing on the concrete of the sidewalk and the last thing he heard was, "It was for your own good."

Grant watched the whole thing with intrigue but still urgent as he scurried to the heroes and found a pipe that would lead him into the Maroon Cartoon Studio office.

Author's Notes: Looks like Natius had been kidnapped by Jessica Rabbit. Will Roger awaken as the humorous warrior? Tune in next episode.
