So, this is the prelude for the one-shot I have already posted entitled "Picking up the Girls.
The legalities: I do not own any of the Expendables franchise (characters, places, and objects especially) and this is mostly au.Rated M just to be on the safe side.
Also, please don't be afraid to write reviews. I would love to hear from you all!
Hope you enjoy!
Prompt: "Well, if you're going, I am too."
"Oh, come on, Luna! It's be a great way for you and I to get to know each other. And maybe we could find you a man."
Luna rolled her eyes. Lacey had been attempting (keyword there, attempting) to convince her to go to the bar for the last twenty minutes or so. And she wasn't taking no as an acceptable answer. "As I told you the first few times that you asked me, I don't need another man in my life! I already have way too many. And I'm rather busy at the moment, which I've also told you multiple times. So, I can not come with you."
"But Luna…"
"Lacey!" Both women turned towards the desk that Jacoba had been sitting at to see said woman now sitting there with her left hand on her forehead while shaking her head with her eyes closed. After a moment, she opened her eyes again and shot an unamused look over at her two friends. "Luna has already told you that she does not wish to go multiple times, so just lay off her already."
"But Jacoba…"
"No, Lacey, you need to actually listen to the people around you when they say something." Jacoba stood and stretched before walking over to the pair. "Now, how about I go with you, Lace? If only to ensure that you stay out of trouble."
Lacey and Luna shared a slightly confused look before they both turned and gave Jacoba their twin looks of confusion. After a couple of minutes, Lacey finally asked, "I thought we weren't supposed to go out together anymore?"
Jacoba looked a little sheepish before she answered. "Well, Gunnar's off visiting his cousin or something. And Stig's great and all, but I don't exactly want to go home to just a cat."
Luna sighed and looked at the ceiling before looking back at her two friends in front of her. "Well, if Jacoba's going, then I am too." At Lacey's affronted (and confused) expression, Luna raised her hand and continued to speak. "If the two of you are both going to a bar, you are going to need a third person for when you get into trouble."
"I'm ignoring your negative energy."
Jacoba scoffed. "We don't exactly have the best reputation, Lace."
"Still ignoring it. Girls' Night!"
Luna and Jacoba shared a long-suffering look before they followed Lacey out the door. Tonight was definitely going to be interesting, to say the least.
