Chapter 1: The Accident
Danny Phantom soared through the night sky of Amity Park, keeping a watchful eye on the city below. It had been a quiet evening—until a familiar green glow caught his attention.
Kim Possible was locked in combat with Drakken and Shego near an abandoned factory, exchanging acrobatic blows amidst the flickering neon lights. Danny sighed. What's Kim doing here? He wasn't particularly close to her, but she had helped him out before, and she had a decent reputation, he actually liked her quite a bit, but it was rude to just mess in other peoples fights.
He was about to leave when he noticed Drakken frantically pressing buttons on a strange-looking device. The machinery sparked violently, the blue circuits flashing erratically.
"Shego! Something's wrong—"
Before Drakken could finish, the device emitted a deep hum, pulsing with unstable energy. Kim, realizing the danger, leapt back. Danny's eyes widened—he recognized that unstable glow.
A portal generator.
Without thinking, he flew between Kim, Drakken, and the machine, raising his hands just as it detonated. The shockwave sent a pulse of blue-green energy rippling through the air. Danny's ghostly aura flickered as his ectoplasmic energy reacted with the explosion.
Then, out of nowhere—
A rift tore open in the sky.
It was unnatural, a swirling vortex of green and black energy. The force yanked at Danny, dragging him toward it.
"Hey! What the—! Drakken you as—"
Was the last thing they heard as he disappeared through the rift.
Kim, and Drakken were shocked, but a voice caught their attention and before they could react, Shego—who had been mid-air, lunging for kim earlier, was caught in the pull as well.
Her eyes widened as she was pulled into the rift. "Oh, you have got to be—"
Both of them were sucked in.
The portal collapsed, leaving behind a stunned Drakken and a very confused Kim Possible.
