Sara's first big assignment after returning to work from her honeymoon was helping Batman escort Red Hood to his new cell at Argus HQ, which was actually in the division where Waller's old Suicide Squad was held.

"Thank you for letting me hold Jason here until we can find a way to help him." Batman said, since while it had been tough, he, Green Arrow, Nightwing and Batwoman had managed to stop Red Hood before he could assault Lucius Fox in Gotham City. It had been a tough battle on top of Wayne Tower, but in the end, Jason had been defeated.

"No problem. I have to admit, I'm kind of jealous that I couldn't be in the field with you. Or with my sister." Sara admitted.

"Working with Oliver and his team is never dull, that's for sure." Gamble said.

"Thanks Jake." Sara snapped at him.

"You okay?" Batman asked, though he was pretty sure he knew what.

"Just getting tired of sitting behind a desk. I know why the President picked me to be the new Argus director, but I'm not the kind of person. I like being in the field, not calling the shots behind a desk." Sara said.

"So, step down, appoint a replacement." Batman said.

"Trust me, I've been thinking about it, especially since Argus is now relatively rebuilt. And I think I have a possible successor picked out." Sara said.

"Please tell me it's not me, since I hate desk work as much as you do." Gamble practically begged and Sara chuckled.

"No, and since Lyla's busy with baby JJ, it's not her either, but honestly, Ava was always better suited to be a bureaucrat than me. She and I discussed it while we were on our honeymoon and we agreed that she was better suited for the role. Which is why I'm calling the president tomorrow to tell her that I'm stepping down as director of Argus and appointing Ava my successor, since she's just as trustworthy as I am, not to mention that as her wife, I can make sure that Ava never becomes like Waller." Sara said, since she knew that this was what was best for her.

"But you're not just planning on returning to being a field agent are you?" Jake asked, knowing his friend well.

"Hell no. Since Diggle's currently preoccupied adjusting to being a father, Ollie's team is a little shorthanded and honestly, being a vigilante sounds much more interesting to me than being a government stooge." Sara said.

"And Team Arrow will be lucky to have you on their team, since I think that you'd make a good hero Sara." Batman said.

"Thank you. That's extremely high praise coming from you." Sara said, since Batman was one of the best vigilantes on the planet.

The next day found Sara walking into the Barracks, since she had big news she wanted to share with her sister and her team.

"Sara, what a surprise." Laurel said as she hugged her little sister as she took a break from training with Artemis.

"Hey, is Ollie here?" Sara asked, looking around.

"No, he's at Queen Consolidated, doing work on some secret project. He won't tell me anything, but according to Tatsu, it's a big project that's taking up a large amount of resources. And apparently it's something that requires him to be on the phone with both Bruce and Kara on an almost daily basis. I really hope he gets it under control soon, since after his mom's trial, he's out of excuses to delay planning our wedding, since we've already delayed it by about 6 years now, I'm not really willing to wait much longer." Laurel said, right as the elevator opened again and Oliver walked out of it.

"Then it's a good thing that I just finished the last of my part of the project. It's all on Kara and Bruce now." Oliver said.

"Care to enlighten me on what exactly it is?" Laurel asked.

"Even if there weren't prying eyes and ears here, meaning Artemis and Sara, no. It's top secret by order of Supergirl. Hell, the only reason I know about it now is because I'm the CEO of Queen Consolidated, which means that I can contribute additional resources to it." Oliver said.

"Okay, now I'm even more curious." Laurel said as Oliver pecked her cheek.

"You'll know when the rest of the world does. Now what brings the director of Argus to our humble Barracks." Oliver asked his future sister-in-law.

"Former director of Argus." Sara corrected.

"Wait, you got fired?" Laurel asked.

"No, I stepped down and appointed Ava as my successor, since she's a better bureaucrat than I ever was." Sara said.

"Why would you step down?" Laurel asked, but Oliver had a feeling that he knew.

"Because I hated my job. Just sitting behind a desk and barking orders, it's not me. I only took the job because it's hard to say no to the president. Besides, after Waller, Argus needed a fresh start and I needed to be the one to oversee it being rebuilt into what it was meant to be and now I've done that. And now I want to get back into the game. And not just as a field agent." Sara said and that's when Oliver understood.

"But as a vigilante. You want to join my team?" Oliver asked.

"With John on a sort of paternity leave, you could use the extra help. Especially since from someone with my level of training, since while Laurel's improved drastically, she still relies too much on her cry. You and Tatsu are the only fully trained field agents your team has, since Luke stays here, Abby relies too much on her magic, Helena's still a bit rusty and Thea and Artemis are both too green." Sara said and Oliver chuckled.

"You're in. We could use an official Argus representative, since at least we know we can trust you and you're right about your combat skills, but there's still more you can learn." Oliver said.

"It'll be nice to have you fighting with us. Though I do resent what you said about me." Laurel said.

"But she's not wrong." Oliver admitted.

"I know, but that doesn't mean I like hearing it. And I'm working on it." Laurel said.

"Enough. For now, welcome to the team Sara. You'll need a codename." Oliver said.

"I already have one in mind. Growing up, mom and dad used to say that Laurel and I were so different, we were practically black and white, complete opposites. And since she's the Black Canary, I think it's only right that I'm the White Canary." Sara said with a grin.

"I like it." Oliver said and Laurel nodded her approval as well.
