Dear viewers, this is a huge what-if scenario of Long Live the Pumpkin Queen and also my own fan fiction part of the Disney Twisted Tale series. Now hopefully, if you chose to read this, you have read Long Live the Pumpkin Queen so you'll understand this story. The what-if scenario is this: What if Dr Finkelstein had never traveled to Dream Town, and Jack and Sally didn't meet for a while? The idea is that Dr Finkelstein ends up not going to Dream Town and kidnapping Sally, so she and Jack don't know each other. OK, I'll shut up now so you can read this.

Sally. It was evening in the quiet place known as Dream Town, and Sally the rag doll was about to be declared the official governor of her town. "Are you nervous?" her mother Greta asked her. Sally nodded. "A little," she answered." I know you'll make us proud," her father Albert assured her. Sally came forward as her people greeted her, erupting into applause. She had been waiting years for this day, and her parents had been there helping her along the way, teaching her so much, such as what she would do as the governor. She had friends who had supported her all those years, and right now they were looking up at her lovingly. Right now Sally felt certain that this was what she was meant to do, to do her best to be a strong leader of her town. To protect her people from any harm. She gracefully made her way to where everyone could see her. Then she began to address the crowd: "As your new governor, I will do everything I can to help protect the Dream Sand and make sure that the monster whose name we do not speak will not steal any dreams! Although his Dream Sand does not affect us, there is no telling how deep his cruelty runs or what he might do to us. I will not let him hurt any of you." The crowd cheered some more. But as proud as she was to take up her new role with everyone cheering for her, Sally couldn't help but feel that something was missing in her life.

A/N: As you probably know if you've read Long Live the Pumpkin Queen in Dream Town, the residents speak in riddles and rhymes. I merely translate their language so readers can understand the story. In a later chapter, you will hear a bit of what their language sounds like.

Jack. Jack Skellington was about to be crowned the new Pumpkin King of Halloween Town. Was he going to be a good king? Would he frighten billions on Halloween night? Then the two-faced Mayor called out, "Presenting our brand-new Pumpkin King: Jack Skellington!" All of the creepy residents of Halloween Town screamed as Jack came forward. Jack! Jack! Jack! As he came up onto the stage, he felt like every step was a big step towards his destiny. "Everyone," he began, "I am pleased to say that as your newly-crowned Pumpkin King, I will be doing the best I can to lead you all in planning the most horrible Halloween year after year. And I will make sure that no-account Oogie Boogie does not ruin anything, and I will protect this town should a threat ever arise. Now, everybody scream!" Everyone cheered and screamed, and Jack motioned for his loyal ghost dog Zero to come to him. Zero floated up onto the stage to join him as everyone else continued cheering. And the Mayor declared him the official Pumpkin King. Everyone started shouting encouragement at him: "You will frighten billions, Jack," said a vampire. "You will make the bravest scream, Jack," said the clown. "You will make the most horrible Halloween of the century, year after year," said a demon. As much as Jack appreciated this, he just couldn't help but feel like there was something important missing in his life

Sally. Sally was going through a ton of paperwork that told about how the research in Dream Town was going. Sometimes Sally worked almost all night long, but that night Greta came into her room and said, "Sally, I know you're working hard, but you could use a rest. I can go through the rest of this for you." "Thank you, Mom," Sally answered, "but you're not the governor anymore. Are you sure you can do this?" "Yes of course," answered Greta. "Just because you're the governor now doesn't mean you have to go through the night without sleeping." So Sally agreed, made herself some tea, and went to her room. She stared out her window at the moon. In Dream Town, it was always dark even in the middle of the day, so it would be easy to take naps anytime.

Would any difficult challenges come upon Sally as the governor? Would she have to face the monster that was banished from Dream Town, whose name her people did not speak? What she did know was that even surrounded by her people once again, she couldn't help but feel that it wasn't enough, that something was missing in her life. But what was it? She had only felt it slightly the evening she had been declared the governor. But that feeling seemed to have grown a little. When she finally fell asleep, she had a strange dream. Where it was darker than usual in the distance she saw a tall thin shadowy figure. She took a few steps toward it and the figure did the same. Hello?" She called. The figure turned and ran in the opposite direction. Then Sally woke up. What was that dream? Did it mean something important? She opened up a book she had to see what a dream like that could mean.

Jack. Jack was writing and drawing his plans for Halloween, which included diagrams of bats and spiders and notes on how much of them they should use. Zero barked. "Zero not now, I have to work," Jack said. Zero left the room. As Jack continued his work, he thought, I've got to show everyone what I can do. Suddenly he heard his doorbell that made the sound of someone screaming. So he went to answer it, and it turned out to be the mayor. "Jack, you have those plans ready yet?" the Mayor asked, wearing his happy face with a wide smile. "I'm not sure they're quite ready for me to show them yet, Mayor," Jack answered. "Jack please, you have to show them to me as soon as possible," said the Mayor, his head spinning to his sad face. "Well alright, if you say so," replied Jack reluctantly, please come inside. When he showed him the plans, the Mayor's face spun and spun until it stopped on his happy face. "Jack, these plans are brilliant!" "You really think so?" Jack asked. "Yes!" the Mayor answered, "not many Pumpkin Kings in the past have had such brilliant plans in their first year like you!" "Why thank you, Mayor," said Jack. "Well, I should be going now," said the Mayor, "but keep up the good work!" "Goodbye," said Jack. When the Mayor left, Jack continued with his work, but soon he decided he could use a rest. He got into bed thinking about his future. Would everyone else agree with the Mayor about his plans? Was that no-account Oogie Boogie coming up with some big plan to defeat him right now? Could Jack defeat him? One thing he did know was that feeling that something was missing in his life seemed to have grown. When he finally drifted off to sleep, he had a mysterious dream. He dreamed that he was standing in the middle of the town, it was dark, and he saw a long-haired shadowy figure about seven inches shorter than him. He took a few steps towards it, and the figure also did. "Who are you?" Jack called. The figure turned around and ran in the other direction as if frightened by him. Jack jolted awake. "Hmm," he said out loud, "an interesting dream, but what could it mean?" Jack shuffled through his books until he found one about dreams to get an idea of what his dream could mean.

Well, what do you think? Please review, or at least put this in your favorites! I will continue the story if I know people are interested. I would also like to thank those who have favorites my previous work.
