Time is a fickle thing.

"H-hi, my name is Shinji… Shinji Ikari."

The boy smiles. "Nice to meet you Shinji. You can call me Adam."

The smallest of changes can have the most impact.

"I'll pilot."

Everyone turned to Adam.

The man on the observation platform narrows his eyes. "And why should I let you pilot?"

Adam snorts. "Isn't it every boy's dream to have their own giant robot?"

Meeting people

"My name Asuka Shikinami Langley, remember it well!"

Shinji blankly stares at the redhead while Adam simply rolls his eyes.

Accidents are bound to happen.

"You idiot! What did you do!?"

The control room lights up as the consoles begin to activate. Adam dashes towards the command chair to try and stop it.

Paranoia takes over.

A squadron of armed soldiers point their guns at us, all ready to kill.

Adam looks at Misato with disappointment before turning into rage. "Are you insane!? Do you realize what you're doing!?"

"I will stop the Third Impact from ever happening… even if I have to kill you all."

"YOU STUPID BITCH!"

Questions will rise.

"Is that… Unit-01?" Shinji asked as he stares at the crucified giant.

It was definitely Unit-01, however, it looked different than what he recalled; a less humanoid body frame in place for a bulkier form, less green across the body, and overall looked much… older.

"It was found on the dark side of the moon, where it was moved and studied for research. I honestly didn't know what to make of it until I came to NERV and saw your EVA." Adam explained.

"But how can there be two of them?" Shinji asked.

"I have no clue."

Secrets revealed.

"Why did you lie?"

Rei looks at Adam straight in the eyes. "I… I'm sorry-"

"You should tell that to Shinji when he finds out."

And history is rewritten.

"It is a shame, you were such a useful tool. Now you will die here and become the foundation to my ascension."

"I will not run away, I'll make sure you never come back!"

Welp. I did it. This is just something to expect from this story. I thought of making a prompt for this so that when I come back to this I will remember what I'm writing. This is a complete reboot of the original story that I deleted a while back because I wasn't particularly happy with what I wrote so now I finally decided to return to this story.
