Chapter 8

It had been a week since percy had the dinner or at least she thinks it's been a week. The only company that she had really was the ghost woman who refused to give percy her name, whenever percy would ask the woman would look towards the door with terror in her eyes and say the same thing. "I don't have a name anymore,"

Percy always scrunched her nose up and asked every time for more information but the woman would only get incredibly upset. It made percy sad watching as the woman who had a smile that could brighten the room, the few times percy was able to make her laugh, disappeared. She hated it so she dropped it. The man walked and had only visited her twice, never saying anything once. Percy always made a point to stay at the furthest side of the room from him, the cut on her hand was finally turning into a scar but every night she relieved that whole situation so she wanted to be as far away as she could. Now Percy stood by the door looking longingly at the ocean she watched as the waves danced over one another in harmony, the sun's rays reflected off of the water making it look even more inviting. oh how she longed to be standing on the edge of the island having the water wash over her feet.

"Noone must realise i'm gone," mumbled percy.

The woman was standing by the bed watching the young demigod girl, "why do you say that?"

"The waves."

"The waves?"

"Yes they are calm there not violent or anything they seem calm meaning my father is in a good mood. More or less"

"I still don't get it. How do you know no one knows you are missing if the waves aren't reacting violently?"

Many would have gotten angry at the question as it would seem the woman was making out that her father didn't care but Percy knew that she meant no ill intent with it. She had spent presumably a week with this woman and she had come to know that she wasn't a bad person at all; she was just forward and blunt, which Percy liked very much.

"My father is very protective of me or well has been in the past few years,"

"Oh i see was he not before hand,"

"Well I mean my stepmother told me he was ever since i was born but because of the rules he couldn't get close to help me. In fact he had asked several of his servants to keep an eye on me before I went to camp even my older half brother did once or twice when he was in the area. I guess it's just become more obvious in recent years"

"Oh I see, so if he knew you were missing he would be mad then the waves would reflect that,"

"Yes, I guess that means no one has figured it out. My mother must think I went back to camp."

Percy was saddened by this she couldn't blame anyone for not realising she had gone missing, in fact it wasn't uncommon for demigods to go missing but she had hoped that someone would notice. She tried to get a message out to someone, anyone but when she had tried to get the letter but the forcefield destroyed the paper.

Percy had begun talking about when she had attended her first official Atlantean court ball ,at Amphitrites request, when someone had asked her when she would be accepting offers from suitors. Triton had nearly choked on his drink, Tyson had asked Triton what they had meant to which the older man told him that he would explain later. Her father however went full blow protective dad mode and said that she wouldn't be accepting any offers for a while and if she were they would have to be vetted by him. The woman hadn't asked any questions throughout the whole story which was odd as she had always done so but when a chilling voice made its presence known Percy knew instantly why.

"Now that was an interesting story Princess,"

Whipping her head round percy saw the man staring at her as he lent against one of the posts of the massive bed, which made percy look so much smaller than she already was.

"Now who were you talking to,"

"My self," snapped percy.

"Ahhh and here I thought you wouldn't lose your mind that quick." he chuckled, taking long steps towards percy.

"What do you want,"

"I'd watch your tone if I were you," he growled.

Percy huffed and looked at him.

"have another task for you," he said, holding out the blindfold.

Percy made a move to take the item but he simply pulled it away and with his finger signalled for her to turn around. When percy didn't he forced her to then put the blind fold over her eyes. His hands gripped round her arm as he pulled her along with him. Percy was ridiculous with directions as it was but with the blind fold on it made it only worse, "where are we going,"

The man simply chuckled and didn't answer her question. "Stand still," he said, tapping what Percy could only guess was a sharp blade on her arm, as the cold metal hit her skin she remembered the letter incident and stood remarkably still. It didn't matter if he was going to use the sharp metal on her or not she wasn't about to move and make the situation worse. Percy heard several clicks before the sound of a door opening met her ears. Pulling her along the man's footsteps seemed to be louder than the rest of the house or perhaps that was Percy's imagination. Once he stopped he pushed percy onto a chair of sorts or at least that's what percy thought it was, her hands were secured behind her back over the back of the chair with perhaps some sort of metal that was wrapped in silk. Positioning her shoulders up straight she wrapped what was blatantly obviously metal chains around the top of her chest securing her shoulders to the top part of the chair, if it was a lesson in posture then she would most definitely be thankful but she knew that was definitely not what it was. Torturously slow he moved his finger across her collar bone up to her cheek dragging the pad of his finger across it, Percy hadn't even noticed that a tear had escaped from her eyes until she felt his finger wipe it away. Then he moved away and chainer her legs to the chair as well with heavy shackles. Then there was a click sound before the man spoke, placing his hand on percy's cheek once more.

"Now you, I want you to get out of this chair and fix the puzzle on the door without taking the blindfold off. Do I make myself clear?" Percy nodded, not trusting herself to speak.

"Good now when i close the door you are welcome to begin." And with that he left.

On Olympus*

It had been a week since Percy Jackson had been confirmed missing and the Olympians watched her via iris message. Over the course of the week both camps were made aware of the situation as well as the seven who all insisted on going to look for percy. Not a single olympian objected to this. The camps were doing everything they could with the most experienced campers joining the seven in their search and the least experienced ones looking for information. But no one came up with anything even the olympians themselves looked at and noone could find anything. Now a week later the olympians were gathering into the throne room to discuss.

Poseidon sat on his throne, his eyes were dark, he was angry, worried and angry all over again. Sally had known what had happened as she had installed a security camera by the door of her apartment, she was still extremely worried for her daughter's safety. The sea god told Amphitrite and Triton and both were equally as furious as he was.

They were all gathered in the throne room when Hermes had burst in, late, waving a scroll around like a lunatic.

"Hermes," growled Zeus, angered by his son's lateness to the extremely important meeting.

"Father, I know I'm late but I have a good reason," panted the messenger god as he handed a scroll to Athena. The goddess of wisdom opened the scroll and gasps erupted throughout the room, Athena simply stared at the writing in front of her it was written in red ink or not it was written in blood. Curious as to why the others were reacting that way she turned the paper and saw a small blooded handprint. It was clearly from someone small and the others didn't need to guess whose hand print it was. Poseidon gripped his throne, anger coursing through him, in fact he wasn't the only one pretty much every deity in the room had steam coming from their ears. Laying on Athena's lap was a small photo that looked like it had been taken by a polaroid camera. She knew she wasn't going to like what she saw when she picked it up but she knew she had to. Slowly she lifted the photo from her lap and the others watched her in silence.

"What is it Athena?" Asked Hera her voice shaking with fear, they all knew that the bloody hand print belonged to percy jackson, without a doubt but whether the blood was hers or not was a whole other thing.

"It… it's a picture of…" she could barely finish the sentence even though she hadn't been fond of the sea god's child. She, much like most of the immortals in the room, grew to actually like her and she was grateful that her daughter had such a great friend. "Persephone Jackson."

The room fell even quieter than it was before if that was even possible.

Athena turned the photo over again and read the words that were written in it out loud to the group, "Lets see how she fairs in task two,"

"Task two?" questioned Apollo and Hermes at the exact same time.

Athena ignored her brothers while she tried to make sense of what she was holding and unfortunately for her she spoke out loud and instead of in her head. "So I have a scroll with a blooded hand print on it and a letter written in blood and a photo with a note."
"A letter written in blood," shreaked Aphrodite.

Athena didn't say she just turned the paper to show the room the shaky handwriting of the red letters.

Hades was worried for his niece but if they kept going on like this they wouldn't get anything they needed to look at things one at a time. " We need to look at it one at a time, Athena, can you show us the picture," he asked. Athena nodded and showed the photo to everyone. There sat Percy Jackson looking paler and thinner than they had last seen her. She was chained to a wooden chair that looked like if she made the slightest movement she would get thousands of splinters, she had a black blindfold round her eyes and she wore a dress that was a similar style that they themselves wore. It was a light dress that had a deep v neck in it, the v was lined with a silver trim, towards the bottom of the dress were some silver stars there no sleeves just two thin silver straps keeping it in place, some parts of the dress were darker and if you looked on some of the stars you could see they were stained red. It was definitely her blood that was used to write this letter.

Ares felt a strange feeling in his chest again, she did look rather beautiful in that dress but the fact she was chained to a chair made him red hot with rage and he didn't know why. This didn't go missed by Aphrodite.

Athena put the image down then began to read the letter out loud.

It seems by now you have realised that I, Persephone Jackson Daughter of Poseidon have been given the opportunity that does not involve you. This is an opportunity that very few get and I shall be honoured to partake in it. I shall remain here and no one will be able to find me. Many others before me have failed but I shall not disappoint like the others have. I will follow every rule as I have run my mouth a few times and found out what happens when I do not obey the rules. I suppose I'm just as feisty as they say and I'll need to watch what I do or I'll get punished. I have successfully completed one task and will move on to the next when I have been permitted to do so. As I write this to you I am having dinner with my gracious host wearing the dress my host has kindly given me. The stars do make my eyes shine, don't you think? I am writing this to you to tell you that this is a warning not only will my actions affect how severe any punishments I receive are, your actions will indicate it also. I will suffer for your actions so i suggest you think carefully about your actions because you may be the reason more of my blood is spilt.

Persephone Jackson

Daughter of Poseidon

The room was silent. Till Hestia spoke, "she had to have copied that down from somewhere, it doesn't sound like her at all,"
"Did you notice it said I, i'm and i'll all the time and when she spoke about the person who took her she said my host." said Artemis.

After that everyone started chipping in with details they caught and the room was filled with shouting.

"It is clear that whoever wrote the original letter chose their words carefully and forced Percy to rewrite it in her own blood."

"This serves as a warning, are actions are going to cause her harm,"

"Not the least bit surprised she run her mouth,"

" she completed as task already and is waiting to do another one,"
"This was written a week ago," yelled Athena reading the date at the top

"Are we all missing the fact that she is having dinner with this guy,"yelled Ares, for some reason the fact that she was having dinner with this guy and was wearing a dress he had given her made him angry and jealous for some reason. He did have to agree with the letter even though he couldn't see her eyes in the picture the dress the letter had described was obviously the dress she was wearing in the photo and with the previous encounters he had with her he knew that the stars on the dress would defiant;y make her eyes sparkle.

Aphrodite and Hephestas both heard what he had said and the god turned to his wife who had a slight smile on her face although panic welled in her eyes, he was definitely going to need to talk to both Ares and Aphrodite about whatever is going on with ares and the fact he was so jealous that percy was having dinner with this guy.

"Wait he made her say this was a great opportunity, what is this some sort of sick game."

"Silence!" yelled Zeus as loud as he could, bringing the room into silence. "Thank you is there any easy for us to tell where this letter came from." he asked hermes

"No but i will look some more,"

"Ok but in the meantime we take what has been said and be careful with our actions we don't want to cause percy jackson any more harm now get some sleep we have a lot to think about."
