Summary: After promising her he had stopped from being a ranger when he gave up his turbo powers Jordan Oliver is in for a rude awakening when she visits her big brother in Reefside only to find out he broke that promise.
So i am giving this writing thing a try again after a break from what happened.
"Jordan you ready?" Jason Lee Scott asked her as he packed his truck.
"Yes i am." She replied grabbing her jacket. The two jumped into his red truck and drove to Reefside.
"So, how long are you staying for?" Jason asked giving her a glance.
"I don't know, I imean he did almost get killed on the island. I was thinking about staying there and going to school there, i mean he is a teacher there now" Jordan anwered letting the breeze from the open window hit her face.
Jason noticed she looked sad but realized what she was looking at. "Jordan he's still here even if he's gone" He slowed and they both looked up to the top of the hill where the command center used to be. Jason took the sharp turn and drove up the hill.
"What are you doing?"
Jason just gave her a grin and drove to the top. Jason opened her door and led her to where it stood. "Listen, i know how much this placed meant to you. I have been saving this for your birthday next week" He pulled out the little black box and gave it to her.
Jordan sucked in a breath and opened it. Inside was a silver chain with an eagle pendant on it. "Jase, this was lost"
"No Jordan it wasn't." He answered. "After your incident wiith Tommy while he was Zeo Ranger 5, after Adam went over the cliff to get you he found it on a branch. The clasp was broken the original pendant was lost."
"Jase what are you saying?"
"Jordan that pendant was made from a power coin" He answered. "Zordon had a power coin made for you."
Jordan felt her eyes well up with tears as they sat on the rocks. "He never told me"
"We asked him not to. Jordan he loved you so much, so much he couldn't see you go out into the danger we faced as rangers. He used some of his energry and magic to melt it down. Some of your animal spirit energy formed the shape of the eagle"
Jordon put it around her neck. "I guess he was right about another thing"
Jason glanced at her. "Whar was that?"
Jordan grinned. "Ryan. I told Zordon once i wanted to help a ranger in need. He told me someday i would and then i met the Mitchell Family. "
Jason kissed her cheek."Come on lets go". Both got into his truck, they gave one last look at the hill then drove down the road.
The drive was quiet. Jordan yelped as a laser shot towards them as they entered Reefaide. "Jason watch out!"
Jason swerved the wheel and skidded to a sstop. "Oh come on!" He growled. They both got out and noticed a woman wearing all black.
"Hey Morticia, the gothic age is over!" Jordan said with a smirk. "Jason shall we?"
"We shall" He replied as the drones charged.
Jason flipped over two drones. He grabbed the two by the backs, he twirled them around kicking each away. He smiled as two rangers a red and yellow joined the fight.
Conner Mcknight while in morph noticed the girl who was fighting drones was close to a piiece of metal pipe that was hanging. Conner began to run but a drone tripped him. "Watch out!"
Jordan heard him but Elsa kicked her in the stomach. Jordan looked up as a drone kicked the pipe causing it to detach. Jordan cried out as the pipe fell onto her knee casuing her jeans to rip as a huge gash appeared.
"Jordan!" Jason cried as he kicked the last drone away. One Elsa and the drones went through a portal he ran over to her. He pulled the pipe off her leg.
"Oh God are you okay?" The yellow ranger asked.
Jordan cried out as Jason held her knee between his hands. He ripped her jeans to look at it.
"Jordan this is bad" Jason spoke. He frowned as the red ranger growled then ran away. "Hey!"
"You can come with me". The yellow ranger offered.
"Who are you?" Jason asked as he wrapped his outer shirt around Jordan's leg. "Look you can trust us, we have been around rangers before"
Jason stood up and helped Jordon get on his back."You need to stop eating so much ice cream".
Jordan giggled through the pain. "Stop buying it"
Jason walked to his truck as the yellow ranger got on her ATV. He drove behind her. Jason stopped the truck in a driveway to a house in the woods. He looked to see Jordan passed out. He got her out of gthe truck and walked inside. "What in the world?" He mumbled as he looked around.
"Welcome to the dino lab" A red head greeted. "Here lay her down."
"Thanks" He whispered as he laid her on the bed. "Who are you?"
"I'm Hayley, and you are Jason Scott" She replied with a smile. "I know who you are"
Jason was about to answer when Tommy came down the steps. "Tommy, i knew you said you lived in the woods but this!?"
Tommy ran straight to where he noticed his little sister laying. "What happened?!"
"Elsa attacked" Kira answered as she powered down. "Sorry, I'm Kira"
Jason shook her hand. "Jason, i was the orignal red ranger".
Tommy leaned down and kissed his sister in her forehead. He grabbed the first aid kit from the desk. "Kira where's Conner?"
"He ran off after she got hurt. Who is she?" Kira asked as she watched her teacher clean the girl's huge cut then put a bandage on it.
"Kira this is Jordan, my sister". Tommy answered. "I knew she was coming to visit"
"Wow, i remember seeing her picture when we first became rangers, its crazy how much you two look alike".
"Both are stubborn to" Jason said with a light chuckle causing Kira to laugh. "Tommy you need to explain this"
"I will but right now i need to make sure Jordan is going to be okay and why Elsa attacked" Tommy replied. "Kira go find Conner".
Kira nodded as walked out of the lab.
Jason sat on the edge of the bed next to her legs. "So rangers huh?"
Tommy smiled a little. "Yeah, i was attacked on the island which is why it exploded. I found the dino gems and now that they are active Mesogog is back and wants them"
"Tommy don't tell me you are one again?"
Tommy sighed and help up his wrist. "Sorry"
"You are so dead" Jason mumbled. "You promised her you would stop!"
"I know, look go get us some food and i will fill you in okay" Tommy suggested. Once Jason was gone Tommy turned his head towards his sister as her eyes began to flutter open.
"Huh?" She whispered.
"Easy kiddo"
Jordan wiped her eyes to see her brother's face. "Tommy?". She winced as she pushed herself to sit up. "Did they get you to?" She asked as she hugged him tightly.
"No, I'm alright." He assured her as they pulled apart. "Jordan, thia ia my lab"
She locked eyes. "Excuse me? Did i just hear that?"
Her brother nodded. "The rangers that helped you are with me"
"Jordan i found dino gems that hold powers, powers that make us rangers" He answered holding up his wrist showing her the black dino gem.
"Oh, i thought you quit". She whispered. "You promised"
"I know i did and I'm sorry, look you need to rest okay, we can talk later" Tommy helped her stand. "I have a spare room that you can stay in"
Jordan nodded as he wrapped an arm around her waist. Tommy led her upstairs and to the left room at the end of the hallway. He grabbed a t-shirt and sweat pants for her. "Here, there is a shower in this room if you want to take one, Jason is gone to get something to eat."
"Thanks" She took the clothers then grabbed a shower. Once she was done she laid back on the bed. She looked up to see her brother appear in the doorway holding pizza.
"Are you hungry?"
"No just tired". She replied as he came and sat lext to her with his back against the headboard. "I'm not mad, just disappointed."
"I'm sorry, but you know me"
"I know, Zordon would be proud if he was here" She whispered leaning her head on his shoulder.
"I was wondering something" Tommy spoke. "I was wondering if you would be willing to help me"
Jordan lifted her head. "With what?"
Tommy sighed. "Would you be willing to stay and help me with this team. Look Jordan you guys are the same age, you have been through this many times so i know you are the right person to help"
"Tommy you know i will do anything i can" She replied with a smile.
Tommy wrapped an arm around her as she curled into his side. "Get some rest okay, I'll take the day off tomorrow."
Tommy eased her back onto the bed as her body relaxed and she fell asleep. His eyes landed to her necklace. His own gem began to glow as her pendant glowed.
Unknown to him a gem that was believed to be a dud began to glow and shake as it laid in a drawer.
