Chapter 18: The Power of Four

The Halliwell Sisters and the Black Amber Tree

Deep within an ancient, hidden plane, the four Halliwell sisters stood before the Black Amber Tree—a mystical source of raw, untapped magic. The air around them shimmered with energy, the dark golden liquid within the tree glowing faintly as if waiting for something… or someone.

From the shadows, a familiar voice echoed.

Melinda Warren appeared before them.

"The Power of Three has served its purpose," she announced. "But when Paige was born, the foundation for something greater was laid. However, for the Power of Four to exist… the Power of Three must end."

The sisters exchanged glances.

Melinda's gaze softened. "Centuries ago, my daughter, Prudence Warren, foresaw a prophecy—three events that would tip the balance of magic in favor of evil. The first: Paige's birth. The second: Prue's disappearance. The third… a sister betraying her family by choosing darkness."

Silence fell.

They had lived through these events.

Evil was at its strongest, and now, the world stood on the edge of destruction.

"But hope is not lost," Melinda continued. "There was a time, long ago, when four warriors bound by blood wielded an ancient force to cleanse the world of darkness. That power now calls to you."

Piper frowned. "You're saying we were meant to have the Power of Four all along?"

Melinda nodded. "Yes. But before you can wield it, you must prove yourselves worthy."

She gestured to the Black Amber Fountain at the base of the tree.

"This tree holds the power to create and restore, just as it holds the power to destroy. To reclaim your full strength, you must first let go of what was."

A stone pedestal stood before them, holding a small bowl filled with the ashes of their destroyed Book of Shadows.

Melinda gestured at it. "The Book of Shadows was not just a book—it was a living embodiment of your magic, your family, and your bond. And now, it must be reborn."

Piper, Phoebe, Paige, and Prue stepped onto the fountain's surface, placing their hands upon the Black Amber.

The moment their fingers touched the enchanted substance, visions erupted in their minds.

They saw their triumphs.

They saw their failures.

They saw every mistake and every sacrifice they had ever made.

The Black Amber judged them, tested them, forced them to confront every choice they had ever made.

For a moment, it felt as if the tree would reject them.

Then—

A surge of brilliant golden light engulfed them.

The ashes in the bowl lifted into the air, swirling with the Black Amber, merging into something new.

Before them, a new Book of Shadows took shape, its cover marked like a Triquetra—but now, with four interwoven loops that called quaternary , The Power of Four had awakened. And they could feel it burning within them.

The Battle at Hannah Farmhouse

Meanwhile, back at Farmhouse, chaos was already unfolding.

A great darkness descended upon their home, suffocating the very air.

Daza had arrived.

The massive demon, cloaked in unnatural shadows, towered over the place. His presence alone warped reality, making the land tremble beneath his feet.

But he was not alone, From the swirling darkness behind him, several demons emerged—lower-level but still deadly, their eyes glowing red as they surrounded the house.

Andy stepped forward first, his eyes flickering with the inhuman glow of a Magical Grimm. He could see the raw, unfiltered evil pouring from Daza, his instincts screaming at him to protect his family.,Daza smirked, then struck without warning.

A blast of dark energy shot forward, but Andy was already moving, countering with his own supernatural speed. Their battle ripped through the estate, shaking the very foundation of their home.

Leo joined the fight, summoning his Elder abilities. Though mortal now, he was still an Elder at heart—and his power had never truly left him.

With a fierce battle cry, Leo unleashed his power electrocuted the demon, and sending waves of white light crashing against Daza's dark force.

At the same time, Billie Jenkins leaped into action. Her telekinesis sent one demon flying into a tree, while her projection power twisted reality around another, causing it to be trapped in an illusion of burning flames.

Patty and Grams focused on shielding the children, conjuring protective barriers. Henry, Coop, and Sam joined the fight—while Coop used his Cupid powers to teleport demons into deadly traps, Henry pulled out a set of enchanted guns.

The bullets had been designed by Paige—infused with potions and spells capable of vanquishing lower-level demons on impact.

BANG! BANG!

Henry fired, hitting two demons in the chest. They screamed before disintegrating into nothingness.

Sam, wielding his Whitelighter abilities, orbed behind a demon, summoning an athame, and drove it into its heart.

Billie ducked a fireball, then sent out a wave of telekinetic energy, slamming three demons into the ground.

But Daza was relentless.

With one devastating strike, he hurled Andy across the yard, slamming him against the stone walls.

Andy groaned, blood dripping from his mouth.

That's when it happened.

Meanwhile , Adrianna watched her father fall, She watched him bleeding, broken, struggling to move, Something inside her SNAPPED.

A surge of raw magic erupted from deep within her chest.

Her eyes glowed a brilliant, blinding white.

The other eleven children reacted unconsciously, their magic responding to hers.

One by one, a golden light pulsed from their small bodies, swirling together.

An orb of pure white-hot energy formed, growing larger, brighter, stronger.

Daza turned, eyes widening in horror.

Before he could react—

The energy struck.

A massive explosion of pure magic consumed Daza, ripping him apart at the molecular level.

The demon was erased from existence.

Then, silence. Adrianna collapsed.

The other children blinked, confused, as if unaware of what had just happened.

Then Leo felt it.

Their magic was gone.

"They're… powerless now," he whispered.

Inara's Arrival – The Real Threat

Before anyone could recover, a slow, mocking clap echoed through the ruins of the house.

A woman emerged from the shadows—draped in black and crimson robes, her smile dripping with wicked amusement.

Inara.

Leo turned sharply, his entire body tensing.

"Oh, Leo," Inara purred. "That was adorable. You really thought Daza was your biggest problem?"

Patty tightened her grip on Sam's arm. "What do you want?"

Inara tilted her head, smirking. "Want?" She laughed softly. "I just came to witness your failure."

She gestured to the children. "Look at them. Your last hope, and now… they are nothing. Magicless. Helpless. And when I bring the true darkness to this world, there will be no one left to stop me."

A pulse of black energy rippled from her, shattering the remaining magical defenses around the house.

The Halliwells had never been more vulnerable.

With a smirk, Inara whispered, "Darkness will prevail. And you? You will suffer."

Then—she vanished.

The Power of Four Awakens

At that exact moment—

Back in the sacred plane, the Halliwell sisters clutched their new Book of Shadows.

A golden surge of magic flooded their bodies.

Their eyes glowed with untamed power.

They had succeeded.

The Power of Four was here.

And the war for magic was far from over.
