So I realized when imagining what would happen in this chapter that Glass Joe would immediately come out and try to defend Little Mac and Bimbette as he has been burned by the tabloids before

Now Little Mac was caught off guard by the press showing up and suddenly blinding him with their cameras...The the constant pressure from the press was one of the things that caused him to call it quits and step down from being the champ. The constant pressure probably what was contributing to his three losses but now he was seeing after he had stepped down he couldn't shed his former celebrity status and now they were butting into the aspects of his life he wanted to keep private!

Bimbette for her part, the flashing cameras were basically causing her the suffer the 'Deer in Headlights' phenomena which actually isn't a case of being 'frozen with fear' what is it is actually an effect of the thing that give deer their night vision and makes their eyes glow in the dark headlights mess with this function which causes the brain to do like a short circuit 'does not compute'

Glass Joe upon seeing what was happening just outside the WVBA gym's doors and even without knowing what he knew about Bimbette's situation his protective feelings for both Mac and Bimbette flared up seeing the press circling around the two young lovers...Remembering his previous bad experience with the tabloids where Dana's past as a runaway experiment got leaked and it resulted in her creators capturing her and it took nearly all the Boxers to rescue her when she was being held in a warehouse where she would have been interrogated before she would be killed!

So Glass Joe ran out the door and suddenly the joke of the WVBA suddenly seemed like a raging inferno! Little Mac had never seen him quite like this and honestly felt a little intimidated!

"YOU FILTHY PARASITES!" Joe bellowed "Have you no shame or honor?! Can you not make a human and mutant romance a spectacle?! Leave these two young ones alone after what you did to me…"

And remembering what DID happen after they leaked the story of Glass Joe's mutant girlfriend and how the next day they learned they might be in for a lawsuit from the WVBA because that leak put multiple lives in danger the reporters all gulped and quickly scuttle away like cockroaches when you turn on the light!

"Joe…" Little Mac was amazed by what he had just seen from the Frenchman!

After a quick huff and a sigh Joe turned to the two of them "Are you all right?"
Bimbette was rubbing her large brown eyes to get the normal feeling back in them. But she could hear what Joe and Mac were saying.

"Yeah I'm all right Joe…" Little Mac said "...I just got a reminder how annoying the press is before I called it quits."
As Bimbette blinked a few times to test of she could see again she realized what had just happened and what she had been fearing that the press would report on her relationship with Little Mac and that was going to trigger her Master to come and get her…

"Excuse me…" Bimbette said quietly "...I got to go home."
Don't worry this time Little Mac is not going to let Bimbette bolt like she did previous times
