Omarnosian10: Unbelievable

Dick: What is it?

Omarnosian10: Rumors are going around about Power Rangers being rebooted into Disney Plus.

Artemis: And you believe them?

Omarnosian10: Considering the Disney Era, they have merit.

Kaldur: True.

Omarnosian10: Shifting topics, I've decided to go with the Gorilla City comics before "Revelations".

Artemis: What about "Ominous Tidings"?

Omarnosian10: Offscreen. Also, like Scales, this is going under a different title than canon. ON WITH THE SHOW!

Chapter 16: Primate

(Mount Justice, Morning)

"Two days ago, along with Wild Warrior and Captain Marvel, you all participated in a mission in India, uncovering the operations and experiments of The Brain," recapped Batman, standing in front of a holoscreen displaying a map. Facing him is the Team in most of their hero outfits, with Merrick by Superboy's side. The mutated wolf snarled at the name of his captor. The clone petted him to calm him down.

"Still think that's a dumb name," chimed Jasmine.

"…Jasmine, I have a friend that literally names one of his forms 'The Worst'." deadpanned Josh.

"Why was the form named that?" asked Miss Martian curiously.

"This was before he found out about its usefulness, but the name came from his looks; it's as tall as a 5-year-old, very fat, covered in warts, and only wears a pair of underwear," described Josh. The natives became disgusted at the mental image.

"Point taken." gagged Jasmine.

"Moving on… We believe this is just the tip of the iceberg. Common criteria of the Bwundan Jungle suggests the Brain has another Legion formula operation," explained Batman.

"Legion?" echoed Kid Flash.

"Captain Marvel heard The Brain refer to it in that name while held captive," explained Batman.

"Legion as in many… They may plan to upgrade the formula with whatever steroids or enhancements they could find," realized Josh.

"And you want us to shut this operation down in an attempt to slow them down," realized Aqualad.

"Exactly," nodded Batman.

"Great, that probably means we'll have to fight more monkeys," groaned Kid Flash.

"I hate monkeys." snarled Superboy.

"Hope I'm not included in that!" chimed Smash, sweeping the floors by the hall.

"Don't worry, Smash. (shakes head) You're not on the list," assured the clone. The Beast Bot nodded and went back to cleaning.

"Speaking of monkeys… Hey, Josh, what do you say we fight monkey with monkey?" grinned Jasmine, conjuring a silver phone-like Morpher with a yellow LED fixture tip.

"Fine." rolled Josh, bringing out a Beast-X Morpher and a blue Morph-X Key.

"Activate Beast Power!"

"Go, Go, Samurai!"

(Bwunda, Night)

A screen beeped as the Brain rolled up to the monitor. Pulling up the feed, he could see the children landing in the jungle.

"Oh Mallah, les enfants, zey plague me. First India and now L'afrique. Have they no respect [for the science]?" sighed The Brain.

"No, my friend, they don't. Like most of their kind, they fear simple progress," answered an albino gorilla with a visible brain and a small scar over the right side of his mouth.

"Tragique, but true mon cher, Ultra-Humanite. Mais, what would you suggest?" asked The Brain. His companion evilly grinned.

"…The obvious, send the monkeys. Let them deal with the pests. That's their job, isn't it?"

(Team)

"Link established." chimed Miss Martian.

"Good work, M'gann." Josh's current suit is a blue variant of Beast Morphers Orange, with a helmet based on a gorilla. This is Beast Morphers Blue.

"So is this the part where we split up and look for clues?" Jasmine's suit is yellow, with white gloves and black leggings. Her torso fabric is based on a samurai kimono with black lapels and a gold emblem like the Black Box on her left breast. Black cuffs are present on her gloves and boots. On her waist is a gold belt with a circular buckle, a holder for her Morpher, and a holder for her Spin Sword. Her helmet has the black kanji for Earth (土) as a visor. This is Samurai Yellow, unrelated to Samurai Green (Ninja Storm).

"Considering the last time we teamed up, two of our own were abducted, so I am having us stick together," ordered Beast Morphers Blue. The Team nodded while trekking.

"Um… I know this might be a bad time… and sorta off-topic…" trailed Miss Martian nervously.

"Whatcha got, Miss M?" asked Robin.

"Remember the Bialya mission when most of us lost our memories?" asked Miss Martian. Kid Flash and Artemis looked away from each other, uncomfortable.

"Emphasis on most." groaned Samurai Yellow.

"Please tell me there's a point to this," sighed Beast Morphers Blue.

"Sorry… but when Javi had your body, he used something to act as some kinda truth detector to help me remember everyone's names," recapped Miss Martian.

"The Truth Dino Key… I think I know what you're talking about," hummed Beast Morphers Blue. He never used that, having relied on Trip's Xybrian powers and Mystic Force spells for light interrogations.

"The point is, can't you use it on us to single out the mole or clear doubts?" asked Miss Martian. The Rangers stopped walking… and groaned, facepalming.

"That would've saved me a whole lotta trouble," agreed Beast Morphers Blue.

"Maybe we can do that when we get back to the Cave; y'know, so we can have an audience that can verify whether or not we've done something about this mole stuff," suggested Samurai Yellow. The Rangers continued trekking.

"Um, does anyone else smell monkey? Cause this jungle reeks of monkeys, and I hate monkeys," asked Superboy worriedly.

"Well, we are in the middle of the jungle," reminded Robin. The leader got what the clone was getting at.

"Are monkeys the only thing you smell around here? What about other forms of wildlife?" asked Beast Morphers Blue. Superboy took another sniff before shaking his head.

"Nothing but stinking monkeys." scowled the clone. This raised alarm bells for the leader.

"It's an ambush!" As if proving the Blue Ranger right, bushes around them began to shake before Legion-enhanced gorillas emerged, baring their teeth.

"Oh boy…" groaned Robin. The Team stood back-to-back, some pulling out their weapons.

"Sounds like we're facing a few dozen," noted Beast Morphers Blue, unarmed.

"No prob, we do this like last time; break off their collars," shrugged Kid Flash, rushing forward and kicking one of the gorillas in the face as it charged.

"One problem. They aren't wearing any collars!" informed Superboy, ducking under a punch. Leaping to hit the silver ape, he grunted as a massive hand wrapped around his throat. The large primate bared its teeth with a growl and hurled the clone through a large tree.

"Let me check something." Beast Morphers Blue jumped over a gorilla's arms and got onto its back before chopping its neck. Feeling a nerve hit by Gorilla Strength, the primate fell unconscious. "No camouflaged collars; Superboy's right."

"Then what's controlling them?" asked Artemis, trapping a gorilla with a foam arrow.

"I don't know, but they seem very distressed," pointed out Miss Martian.

"Maybe we got too close to wherever they were nesting?" suggested Kid Flash.

"They're gorillas, not birds!" countered Samurai Yellow, slashing a gorilla that tried to bring down a tree onto her.

"Martian, go into camouflage mode, you're gonna be our backup," ordered Beast Morphers Blue, grappling a gorilla.

"But last time I tried to sneak past a gorilla while like that, I was detected," countered Miss Martian, flying away from a gorilla's leap.

"That was when it was fused with a cat. From the look of things, these monkeys don't have super senses with their superpower," retorted Robin.

"Acknowledged." nodded Miss Martian before vanishing.

"We must escape and regroup. Robin, Yellow, lay down cover!" ordered Beast Morphers Blue before lifting the gorilla and throwing it into a small troop, knocking them down.

"Way ahead of you!" called Robin, leaping off the back of one of the enraged apes and throwing a barrage of smoke bombs to the ground.

"Symbol Power: Dust!" Samurai Yellow wrote '埃' in the air with her Samuraizer, the kanji glowing. A thick haze of smoke and dust formed around them as the smoke permeated the air.

"Switching to infrared. Looking for a clear path—got it, follow me!" Kid Flash darted off through the smoke, though a wall of muscle suddenly blocked his path. "Oh God."

"Not God. Grodd," spoke a new voice in their link. Pain shot through their heads while Miss Martian screamed.

"NOT AGAIN!" screamed Beast Morphers Blue. Tapping his Transporter, two high-tech bracelets were teleported to his hand. Fighting through the mental pain, he straps one onto his right wrist. It soon lit up green, with the mental pain vanishing. Sighing in relief, he then searched the haze for any of his teammates. Spotting a feminine silhouette holding her head, he threw the remaining bracelet. The Blue Ranger couldn't see where it landed, but judging by the lowered hands, he didn't miss his target. Before he could call out, a shockwave shook the clearing as a massive plume of dust rose from the sudden impact, while the preexisting haze dispersed. Through it, everyone could see a massive brown-furred gorilla with bangs rising to its feet. The beast bared its fangs and roared, charging towards Aqualad and Superboy.

'It's like I'm living in Planet of the Apes,' Nearby, Artemis reached towards her quiver to grab an arrow to help her teammates when something grabbed it.

'Thank you, Josh and Accel.' The archer taps a secret button on her strap, activating a hidden taser in her quiver. Whatever grabbed it gave off a pained roar before releasing it. Dropping to the ground, Artemis whirled on her heels and smacked her bow against the silvery hide of another gorilla. The archer leaped away from the animal, pulling out an arrow. However, she didn't have the chance to load as something latched around her neck with an all too familiar buzz. A scream pierced the air and Kid Flash turned on his heel to see Artemis collapse to the ground, an inhibitor collar sparking around her neck. Speeding toward her, he was intercepted by a massive wall of fur slamming him to the ground. The breath was knocked from his lungs as a massive hand slammed onto his chest, holding him down. But even through that he noticed something latch around his neck.

"Everyone that can hear me, fall back!" shouted Beast Morphers Blue, uppercutting a gorilla into the sky.

"What about Miss Martian?" asked Samurai Yellow worriedly, the bracelet on her right wrist. A bark sounded out before Merrick came down from a tree and onto the face of a gorilla that was about to charge at her.

"She was camouflaged before she was knocked out, but Merrick can track her. Also, our enemies are focusing on capture, not killing. We'll have a chance to rescue everyone later," assured Beast Morphers Blue, watching Robin get slammed to the ground while another gorilla slammed Aqualad and Superboy's heads together repeatedly.

"But…" Samurai Yellow's voice died down when her brother looked at her. Even behind a helmet, she could tell what he was saying. And sadly, he's right. They were losing this fight. Over half the team was already captured, with only three of them left (four if you count Merrick), and that was only cause one of them was essentially invisible. "…Alright."

"Good," With a nod, Beast Morphers Blue utilized one of Ben's techniques as Four Arms and unleashed a seismic clap, kicking up a ton of dust around him. A grappling line shot out of the dustcloud, out of reach of the gorillas. Beast Morphers Blue followed suit.

"Symbol Power: Conceal!" Samurai Yellow wrote '消' into the air with her Samuraizer, the kanji glowing. It then spun before slamming into her, the Yellow Ranger vanishing afterward. Ignoring the wolf who ran off, the entire troop looked around for their prey. Not finding any sign, they simultaneously roared in frustration.

(Gorilla City)

"Excellent work, mesa mis," praised The Brain, watching the group of apes drop the unconscious teens into a pile before him, "But where is la Martian, la Rangers, and mon loup?"

"…" Across from him, a silvery gorilla raised one of his massive fists, signing a reply.

"What is he saying?" huffed Ultra-Humanite.

"Mon frere, have you still not learned [the language of signs]?" sighed The Brain.

"I've been a tad busy surgically upgrading your apes. So…" shrugged Ultra-Humanite.

"He says [the] Martian, and [Yellow] Ranger was invisible—no, not invisible—camouflage. Zey knocked [the] former out but couldn't find [the body]. As for the [blue] one, he obscured his escape with a cloud of sand—no, dust," explained The Brain.

"And what of your wolf?" added Ultra-Humanite.

"[These] idiots didn't realize I wanted [the] creature. [They] let him go," huffed The Brain.

"To be fair, you ordered them to bring the team. You didn't specify to include their pet. The Legion formula has made them physically superior, and our brain-enhancement procedures have granted them sentience, but at the formula's present state, you cannot expect genius," retorted Ultra-Humanite.

"[That is true.] I blame Mallah. He has spoiled me. But, alas, [they] cannot all be Mallahs." sighed The Brain.

"And the Legion formula itself may be interfering with the mental enhancement, (reaches into bag) But the solution to our missing subjects is a simple one, (tosses bundle of goggles to the gorillas before them) Take these. Find the escapees and the wolf. And do not return without them, or there will be consequences," ordered Ultra-Humanite.

(Mindscape)

"Ugh," groaned Miss Martian, sitting up.

"Are you alright?" Kneeling beside her is Josh, unmorphed with a pair of fleshy antennae over his forehead.

"I think so… (nods before looking up) What are…" trailed Miss Martian, gesturing to her forehead.

"Rafkonian powers; I'm tapped into you while Jasmine stands guard over us," explained Josh.

"Stand guard… (looks around to see dark void) What happened?" asked Miss Martian curiously.

"Grodd happened, humans," snarled a gruff voice from behind them. Leaping to their feet, the teens stumbled back to see the very beasts that had just been attacking their team. A familiar gorilla stomped forward, baring its massive fangs. "And Grodd demands your help."

"Help with what?" growled Josh, shielding Miss Martian from sight while conjuring a Chromafury Saber for defense.

"Apologies for my love, he lacks manners," assured a dark-furred gorilla, putting a massive hand on the larger ape's shoulder. Settling back onto her knuckles, she lumbered forward. Seeing her gentle approach, Josh dismissed his Saber. Taking it as a cue, she took the Ranger's hand, gently shaking it. "We desire the humans' help, but we do not demand it."

"I… I'm not human, I'm Martian. Miss Martian to be exact," corrected the alien telepath.

"I am not sure I understand. Our vocabulary expands rapidly, however, there are still gaps," frowned a silverback gorilla with a white streak and beard, showing off his age.

"It's not important right now." waved Miss Martian.

"She's right. We can discuss species later. For now, introductions are in order. I am Omni-Ranger, Miss Martian's leader, or 'alpha' in your terms," greeted Josh, shaking the feminine gorilla's hand back.

"Indeed. (nods) I am Solovar, the alpha of this troop (motions to a black gorilla) This is my mate, Boka. (motioned to gorillas closest to teens) This is Primat and you've met Grodd," introduced the elder. Glancing at the massive gorilla that had attempted to crush her earlier, while stepping to Josh's side, Miss Martian frowned when she saw him give an annoyed huff, the leader catching it as well. As much as they didn't like that one, the others seemed to be much more receptive to letting them have their own choice and at least would explain what was going on. Which they needed if they had any hope of helping the others.

"It's nice to meet you all." smiled Miss Martian politely.

"It is our pleasure to meet you as well," nodded Solovar back.

"But, I do have some questions. Where are we? Why is it so dark? How are you capable of telepathy? Why did you attack us? What is going on?" rambled Miss Martian.

"Martian, slow down and take a deep breath. (puts hand on teammate's shoulder, who did so while blushing from contact) While I also have questions, they're fewer than hers and I can answer her with what I've figured out. We're in the equivalent of a mental plane for your kind, am I correct? (gorillas nod) Am I also correct to say that a few new enemies of ours known as The Brain, Mallah, and Rouge are responsible for your abilities and attack on the physical plane?" deduced Josh. A few gorillas growled at the names he threw out.

"The boy is quite intelligent for his age," smiled Primat.

"The girl has chosen well for her alpha." grinned Boka. Why does Miss Martian have an odd feeling the gorilla's referring to something other than 'leader' when she said 'alpha'?

"You are correct to assume that two of your enemies are responsible for our present state, yet none of us have seen this 'Rouge'. We have only heard of her through the other two you spoke of. (steps forth, looking grim) But do not worry. We shall do our best to enlighten you, but time is short. (clears throat while void warps) Almost three years ago now, two strangers arrived: an old woman and a thin man with their borrowed shadows. They constructed a single metal cave, a Kwan-zett hut, to conduct their experiments. They captured Mallah, the youngest of our troop, and operated on his brain. Mallah… was not the same afterward. He approved of their experiments, even betrayed his own kind to his new masters." scowled Solovar, the area around them showing the events.

"Sounds like this Mallah became drunk on power and betrayed you for more." mirrored Josh, folding his arms.

"Perhaps. (sighs) While he is fortunately the only one to do so, tragedy did not stop there. Good Tolifhar was the first to fall to his attacks. They took Tolifhar and they murdered the ape we knew; replacing Tolifhar's brain with that of the old woman, creating the abomination, the Ultra-Humanite. (Miss Martian gasps while Josh clenches fists) But the horror continued. Ultra-Humanite and Mallah extracted the brain from their thin human companion and placed it within the hollow, metal tree stump. This new thing wished to be completely free from the distractions of the physical. To simply be the being you know as 'The Brain'. They added more to their metal cave and called their new kingdom: Gorilla City. It is their little joke, for it was here they have enslaved every gorilla in our troop. Only the Holy One managed to escape," continued Solovar.

"That's some good news," sighed Miss Martian, happy that at least one gorilla was spared certain horrors. A few gorillas nodded in agreement.

"From there, they put inhibitor collars on us and performed their enhancement surgeries on our brains. We gained intelligence, awareness, and sentience, but neither happiness nor freedom. Especially once they brought in their monstrous allies," sighed Primat. The image that came out confused Miss Martian, but horrified Josh.

"Are those… Power Rangers?" asked Miss Martian.

"No… (glares) Those are the Psycho Rangers; homicidal fakes made specifically to counter true Power Rangers," explained Josh solemnly.

"How dangerous are we talking?" asked Miss Martian worriedly.

"Psycho Pink managed to kill the first Pink Ranger of the Lost Galaxy team. (Miss Martian gasps) What worries me is that there were originally 5 of them; even when Zhane pretended to be one, this is over double the number of Psychos that any Ranger team faced," explained Josh, worried. He knew from whispers that the Psychos were calling themselves a Society, but he had no idea it was because they were more than he knew.

"Don't worry Josh. (puts hand on shoulder) You won't be facing them alone; you have the whole team backing you up," assured Miss Martian. Josh looked away, uncertain. Grodd cleared his throat, getting their attention.

"More recently, they injected us with their Legion formula. It was very painful, but it made us larger, and stronger. And now they are ignorant of our greatest strength; the telepathy their enhancements provided, (huffed and slams fist onto ground) Thus they have scattered the seeds of their own demise!" shouted Grodd.

"But, you don't have the collars now. Why do you still aid your oppressors?" wondered Miss Martian. Josh narrowed his eyes, looking over the troop… and noticing how even the youngest among them are adults.

"Don't tell me…" growled the leader.

"It seems you have caught on. (nods) It is true; our oppressors have our children. If we do not obey their commands, their lives are forfeit." sighed Solovar. Miss Martian gasped.

"They have your troop as well. All are in collars. We will rescue them, you will secure our progeny. And together, you and I—er, Solovar, will lead the revolution." declared Grodd, looming over Josh. The Ranger caught the near-slip; however, he couldn't focus on that now.

"Do you have a plan on how to do all that or will we need to use brute force?" inquired Josh.

"Do not worry, we have a plan."

(Reality)

Opening her eyes, Miss Martian was greeted by cavern walls, Josh hovering over her. Seeing her awake, he retracted his Rafkonian antennae and dismissed a Dino Fury Morpher.

"Are you two doing OK?" asked Samurai Yellow by the cave's entrance, holding an oversized shuriken with three black blades and the yellow '土' on the center, and a Power Disc loaded on the other side.

"We're fine. (sits up, dismisses camouflage, and unhoods herself) Better than fine; we have a plan to rescue everyone." smiled Miss Martian. Merrick trotted up to her, giving her hand a friendly lick as she scratched his ears.

"You made plans without me?" asked Samurai Yellow, mock hurt.

"We've had uninvited guests and didn't have time to bring you in." frowned Josh.

"Uninvited… (helmet-palms) Oh right, psychics. Anyway, what's the plan?" asked Samurai Yellow.

"That depends… how good is your Symbol Power?"

(Gorilla City)

"I can't believe we agreed to this," muttered Samurai Yellow while pretending to hang limply over the massive gorilla's shoulder. However, it took a lot of effort to prevent herself from shoving Merrick away from her, the fur threatening to smother her. "Seriously, I can practically hear Kid's King Kong jokes."

"Who's King Kong?" asked Beast Morphers Blue and Miss Martian, who had similar positions on different gorillas.

"…I am ashamed to be related and/or associated with either of you," confessed Samurai Yellow. The leader and Martian resisted the urge to exchange looks when the gorillas stomped through the doors, a pair of Shadow guards letting him in. The gorillas shortly reach a room occupied by The Brain, Ultra-Humanite, and Mallah, with the team pinned to a wall clad in inhibitor collars.

"Well, well, there's your beast, Rangers, and Martian," noted Ultra-Humanite, watching the gorillas drop them onto medical tables.

"What an impressive feat, my [pets]," praised The Brain, rolling to them. Ultra-Humanite smirked, inspecting them before looking at the others… and widening his eyes.

"The Boy Wonder! He's gone!" shouted Ultra-Humanite.

"[How is that] possible?! Ze door is sealed! Where could he have gone?!" shouted The Brain, spinning around. The disembodied organ's answer came in the form of Robin's creepy disembodied laughter. Looking back to their newest captives, Ultra-Humanite gasped when they flashed and turned into crumbling rocks.

"We have been deceived! Our newest subjects; they were imitations!" added Ultra-Humanite. To make matters worse for the villains, the rocks dispersed into dust, mixing with the bursts of smoke that began filling the room.

"WHERE ARE THEY?! WHERE ARE THEY?!" screamed The Brain. The flashing lights of electricity momentarily illuminated the figures in the smoke. He could make out Robin's form leaping over one of the gorillas, disappearing as everything dimmed back into a smoky gray. However, it didn't last long before the Boy Wonder emerged from the smoke, hopping up beside Superboy and tinkering with his collar. There was an audible click, and the lights from the collar powered down just as a massive hand erupted from the gray plumes, snatching Robin away from his cape. The clone didn't waste any time as he ripped himself out from the wall, the metal shackles still firmly fastened against his wrists. He glared into the smoke, audibly growling as he whirled around, ripping off Aqualad's cuffs and collar. Aqualad landed on the ground, quickly joining his teammate in freeing the others.

"Miss Martian, are you in range?" asked the SIC.

"I heard that!" shouted Artemis excitedly, rubbing her wrists after Superboy ripped her collar off. "The link's up! M'gann must be—"

"No. It's not her or either of the Rangers." shook Superboy, freeing Kid Flash.

"Don't worry, the one who set up the link is an ally for the time being," assured Beast Morphers Blue.

"Dude, where are ya?" asked Kid Flash, taking a protein bar out of his boot compartment and fueling up.

"Freeing the baby gorillas that Brain is blackmailing the adults with," explained Beast Morphers Blue.

"…That's ****** up." voiced Superboy for the rest.

"Trust me, honey, from what I've heard, that's an understatement," noted Samurai Yellow.

"Ventilation's finally kicked in," smirked Ultra-Humanite, watching the smoke and dust get sucked into the vents.

"And I have summoned ze reinforcements." announced The Brain.

"Good," KF's familiar voice sneered as the last whisps of smoke cleared revealing the freed team standing across from the villains, "cuz you're gonna need 'em!"

"Grodd… destroy them," ordered Ultra-Humanite.

"Zat may not be necessary, [my friend], (rolling back to reveal troop of Legion gorillas, one holding a limp figure in hand) Notre Solovar has la Martian and will wring her neck if [these infants] do not stand down!" demanded The Brain. Seeing that Miss Martian has several bruises, the heroes can tell that this is the real deal and not another fake.

~Battle Song: Beast Morphers Theme — NicholsonStudios edition~

"You first!" The trio of bad guys got swatted to the side by a metal girder coming from behind them. Holding it and entering the room is Beast Morphers Blue, in a bulky variant of Beast-X Mode. "The babies are free and being watched over! You no longer have to obey your oppressors!"

"Good," smirked Solovar before releasing Miss Martian, who stopped playing possum. Floating into the air, she then transformed into a blue-furred gorilla (likely a homage to her leader), then slammed down onto Mallah, helping Solovar restrain him. Grodd stomped over to knock the lights out of his former troopmate.

"M'gann! Do you have to take that form?! You know I hate monkeys!" complained Superboy, kicking Ultra-Humanite aside.

"But it seemed so appropriate," giggled Miss Martian, psychically tossing Mallah away.

"Do not call us monkeys, human! You might as well state your hatred for all Primates!" growled Grodd.

"Don't give him any ideas!" replied Kid Flash, speeding and snatching the guns out of the hands of Shadows rushing in to help.

"I apologize for my associate's discriminating remark," said Beast Morphers Blue, punching away a Shadow. Grodd snorts before slapping away a Shadow.

"Speaking of, any idea where Yellow is?" asked Artemis, taking down a Shadow with a tazer arrow.

"Watching over the babies!" answered Beast Morphers Blue, lifting The Brain with one hand.

"Unhand me this instant!" ordered The Brain.

"Just a moment!" Beast Morphers Blue faced a group of Shadows running at him, armed with blades. With a grunt, he threw the machine at them, knocking them down like bowling pins. Groaning, The Brain steadied himself with mechanical arms… only to scream when an arrow got lodged into an optic.

"My optical sensors! Imbeciles! You cannot blind ze brain!" shouted The Brain. Ultra-Humanite rushes over to pull it out.

"Blindness is just the start of your punishment." snarled Beast Morphers Blue, kneeling to the ground and putting a hand on it. He then brings it up, a cloud of green data following. It then flowed upward before coming above his head, turning into a boulder that the Ranger caught.

"[Inconcievable! Inorganic duplication?!]" swore The Brain.

"Hi… YAH!" Beast Morphers Blue threw the boulder toward The Brain. Mallah gets in front of him and catches the boulder, grunting when he is pushed back a bit. Roaring, he then threw it aside. He looks back in time to see the Blue Ranger in front of him, an energy gauntlet resembling Smash's arm covering his reared hand.

"Gorilla Punch!" Beast Morphers Blue delivered a haymaker into Mallah's gut. The gorilla gasped in pain before being launched into his fellow villains.

~End Song~

Groaning, Ultra-Humanite pushed Mallah off before looking around. How could this happen? With how the heroes and gorillas are in sync despite not talking, yet with Miss Martian occupied with her own Shadows, along with the evading of attacks very few could see, it's almost as if…

"Brain! The apes! They are telepathic!" realized Ultra-Humanite.

"Indeed. [An interesting development.] Mais zis is not ze time for study. Attention revolutionaries! I have activated ze self-destruct! [The Gorilla City] is doomed! [You have five] minutes!" announced The Brain. To show that he's not bluffing, a screen lit up with a countdown. Beast Morphers Blue growled, glaring at the retreating villains. He had a choice to make…

"…Everyone, evacuate the area! Make sure no one; human, gorilla, or anyone else is left behind!"

(Jungle)

They had barely managed to escape with everyone. They left most of the Shadows hog-tied nearby, but no doubt the assassins had already made their escape. After making sure the gorillas reunited with their infants, the team of heroes left them, the troop desiring to rebuild Gorilla City in their image.

"Well, that was different," stretched Samurai Yellow, entering the Bioship.

"Tell me about it, who knew telepathic gorillas were a thing? But hey, I got another souvenir." grinned Kid Flash, holding up Mallah's minigun.

"Whoa Kid, you might wanna put the thing down." placated Artemis, hands raised peacefully. Robin and Aqualad mimicked her.

"Calm down. (rolls eyes and at random tree) I detached the ammunition belts, so it's already empty." assured Kid Flash, finger on the trigger.

"I'm not so—WHOA!" Almost everyone jumped when several bullets came out of the weapon and struck the tree trunk. As it timbered down, they watched before turning to a sheepish speedster.

"Hehe… I guess I should've checked if anything was loaded in the barrels…" chuckled Kid Flash nervously, lowering the minigun. Beast Morphers Blue, still in Beast X Mode, went to one of the Bioship's wings and put a hand on it.

"I know I'm not one for games… but anyone up for Speeding Piñata?" asked the leader darkly, creating several sledgehammers from Bioship's material.

"What's the prize?" smirked Superboy, grabbing a hammer.

"Kid learning not to screw up on any more missions… or life in general," answered Beast Morphers Blue, test-swinging a hammer.

"…Aw, what the hell. I'm game." shrugged Robin, getting his own hammer. Paling, Kid Flash prepared to run… only to trip over bola arrows.

"No escaping your punishment, Kid," smirked Artemis, arms folded, content on watching. With dark expressions, Superboy, Robin, and Beast Morphers Blue approached the speedster. Suffice to say…

"OOH! EEH! AHH! OOH! NOT THE FACE! NOTTHEFACE!"

Wally: Really? A Cosmic Destruction reference with me as the butt of the joke?

Dick: I can actually see you messing up like that.

Artemis: Seconded.

Wally: HEY!

Omarnosian10: A~nyway… fun fact; a group of gorillas is really called a troop. I looked it up.

Conner: Sounds military.

Wally: Guess that's why people call it "Guerilla Warfare", eh?

Others: BOO~!

Wally: Screw you all!

Omarnosian10: Anyway, without any delays, next chapter will be Revelations, although there'll be a bunch of stuff added, so it may take a bit longer than usual to update. SMOKEBOMB!
