Naruto was training Konohamaru, Udon, and Moegi at training ground 7. The three academy students attacked him together.
Despite his mind being elsewhere, Naruto's reflexes and combat instincts, allowed him to effortlessly dodge their attacks. His movements were smooth and almost dance like, evading each strike with a grace that seemed almost unnatural for a Genin.
However, Naruto's thoughts were occupied by his dissatisfaction with the monotonous D-rank missions. He craved a real challenge, a fight with someone who could push him to his limits. This yearning, combined with his inherent bloodlust, caused a dark aura to seep out of him unconsciously.
Konohamaru and his friends immediately felt the shift in the air. The playful, energetic Naruto they knew was suddenly emanating a terrifying bloodlust. Their attacks faltered as fear gripped them. The hidden ANBU, tasked with watching Naruto, felt the chilling intent and were taken aback. Despite their training, this level of malice from a mere Genin was unsettling.
Naruto snapped out of his daze when he noticed the fearful expressions on Konohamaru and his friends. Realizing what had happened, he quickly reined in his bloodlust and put on a reassuring smile.
"Sorry about that," he said, his tone light and playful. "I thought I'd test you guys a little."
The children slowly relaxed, though the fear still lingered in their eyes. Naruto ruffled Konohamaru's hair, trying to dispel the tension. "You guys did great. Just keep practicing."
Meanwhile, the ANBU, hidden in the shadows, exchanged glances. Naruto's display of such potent bloodlust and combat prowess beyond his rank was concerning. They collectively had the same thought. Naruto was dangerous.
Yūgao made her way to Hiruzen's office to report what happened.
In the Hokage's office, Hiruzen Sarutobi sat at his desk, deep in thought as he reviewed various documents. Yūgao's sudden appearance brought him out of his reverie.
"Lord Hokage, I have an urgent report regarding Uzumaki Naruto." Yūgao
Hiruzen's expression turned serious. "Proceed."
The ANBU operative straightened up. "Earlier today, while Naruto was training with Konohamaru, Udon, and Moegi, an unusual event occurred. During their sparring session, Naruto's demeanor changed drastically. He began emitting a strong and overwhelming bloodlust."
Hiruzen raised an eyebrow, concern evident in his eyes. "Bloodlust? What happened?"
"Konohamaru and his friends attacked Naruto from all fronts, but he dodged their attacks effortlessly," Yūgao continued. "However, it seemed that Naruto's mind was elsewhere, preoccupied. Suddenly, his bloodlust intensified, and it was enough to scare both the children and our hidden operatives."
Hiruzen leaned back in his chair, absorbing the information. "How did Naruto react?"
Yūgao paused before replying, "Naruto quickly realized the fear he had instilled in Konohamaru and his friends. He immediately reined in his bloodlust and smiled, attempting to reassure them. He said, 'Sorry about that. I thought I would test you guys a little.'"
Hiruzen sighed, a mix of relief and concern on his face. "Naruto's power and potential are truly remarkable, but his control needs to be carefully monitored. What is your assessment of the boy?"
Yūgao nodded. "We all had the same thought, Naruto is dangerous. His strength and the intensity of his bloodlust are beyond what should be expected of a genin. We believe he needs to be watched closely."
Hiruzen nodded slowly, deep in thought. "Thank you for your report. Continue monitoring him. We must guide him carefully and ensure his potential is used for the good of the village."
Yūgao bowed once more before exiting the room, leaving Hiruzen alone with his thoughts. The Third Hokage knew that Naruto's path would be a difficult one, and it was up to him to ensure the young ninja found his way without falling into darkness.
Weeks of repetitive D-rank missions has worn down Naruto's patience. The mundane chores were tearing at his sanity, and his bloodlust simmered beneath the surface, craving a true test of his skills. As Hiruzen informed them of yet another D-rank mission, Naruto nearly let his bloodlust leak out.
Before he could react, Sakura's frustration boiled over. "CUT THIS CRAP! I want to do, you know... a more incredible mission! Not chores. Give us a better one!" she shouted.
"I agree," Sasuke added, his voice calm but firm.
Kakashi sighed, expecting this outburst. "I knew this day would come sooner or later."
Iruka tried to calm the situation. "You are just rookies. Everyone starts off with simple duties and works their way up!"
"Doing chores doesn't help us at all! We can't develop our techniques if we keep this going on!" Sakura screamed back.
"I agree with Sakura. If we keep doing these missions, we will never become stronger," Sasuke supported her.
Hiruzen saw the determination in their eyes and began to explain. "It seems I have to explain to you what these duties are all about. Listen, every day the village receives numerous requests, from babysitting to assassination. Each request is written down on the lists and divided into A, B, C, and D rankings based on the difficulty. The village is also divided based on the skill, starting from the Hokage to the Jonin, Chunin, and Genin."
"The missions are then handed out by us at the top to ninjas based on their abilities, and if the duty is completed successfully, we receive payment from the client. And because you guys just recently became Genin, D-rank missions are perfect for you."
"Old man I need something exciting. Or else I am going to crazy" Naruto
Hiruzen noticed the boy's bloodshot eyes.
"It seems he is restraining his bloodlust. If I don't give them a proper mission, he will most likely cause trouble." Hiruzen thought
Hiruzen looked at Kakashi. "Kakashi, do you think they are ready for a C-rank mission?"
Kakashi nodded. "I believe they are."
Hiruzen sighed. "Okay, if you want it that much... I'll give you a C-rank mission. It's a protection mission for a certain individual."
The door opened, and an older man with a bottle of sake stepped in. "Team 7, meet Tazuna."
"So this is the team that's going to protect me? These three brats and him? The brats look like they won't be much of use," Tazuna said, eyeing them skeptically.
"This guy! How dare he insult me and Sasuke-kun! I'll kill him!" Sakura shouted, ready to strike, but Kakashi held her back.
"Calm down, Sakura. He is the one we are going to protect. What's the point if we kill him?" Kakashi said calmly.
Naruto appeared behind Tazuna with a grin. "Don't worry, old man, you are in good hands."
Tazuna jumped, startled by Naruto's sudden appearance. "When did you...?"
Naruto returned to his spot, a smirk playing on his lips.
Tazuna straightened up, still a bit shaken. "Well, I am the super expert bridge builder Tazuna. I expect you to provide me super protection until I get back to my country and complete the bridge."
"Okay, team. Let's meet at the gate tomorrow. Bring your equipment and pack necessary food and other things you will need," Kakashi instructed.
As Team 7 dispersed to prepare for the mission, Naruto's excitement grew. This was what he had been waiting for, a real mission. The thought of facing unknown dangers made his blood sing
Later
Naruto was restless with excitement. The anticipation of real combat made his bloodlust seep out more potently than before. He could feel the familiar thrill coursing through his veins, an almost intoxicating rush.
Hidden in the shadows, the ANBU operatives assigned to watch over Naruto were growing increasingly terrified. Despite their training and experience, the raw, oppressive aura emanating from the young Genin was unnerving.
"How can a mere Genin exude such terrifying bloodlust?" one of the ANBU thought, struggling to maintain his composure
Naruto, fully aware of their presence and fear, chuckled to himself. "They're scared," he mused, a twisted grin spreading across his face. "Good."
He took a deep breath, relishing the sense of control his aura gave him over those around him. He knew that the ANBU wouldn't follow him on his mission to the Land of Waves, giving him a rare opportunity to unleash his full potential without their prying eyes.
"This is going to be fun," he thought, his eyes gleaming with a dangerous light
With a final, sinister chuckle, Naruto layed down, closing his eyes but unable to wipe the smirk off his face. The mission to the Land of Waves was no longer just about protecting Tazuna; it was about enjoying himself, indulging in the thrill of battle that he craved so deeply.
The Hidden ANBU, still vigilant in the shadows, could only wait and watch, their unease growing with every passing moment. They knew they were in the presence of something far more dangerous than they had anticipated, and the fear of what Naruto might do next gnawed at them, keeping them on edge throughout the night.
The next day, Team 7 gathered at the gate, ready for their first C-rank mission. Naruto's eyes gleamed with anticipation, and for the first time in weeks, he felt truly alive.
"Let's go," Kakashi said, leading the way with Tazuna in tow.
Few hours later
"Am I really safe with you guys?" Tazuna asked, his voice tinged with doubt.
"Don't worry. I'm a Jounin," Kakashi reassured him with a calm demeanor..
"Um... Tazuna-san?" Sakura piped up.
"What?" Tazuna replied.
"Well, you're from the Wave country, right? Do you have ninjas in your country?" Sakura inquired.
"Of course they do, Sakura. Why else would Tazuna come to our village for help," Naruto interjected with sarcasm.
"Naruto, don't make fun of Sakura," Kakashi reprimanded gently. "No, not in the Wave country. But in most other countries, hidden villages exist, along with ninjas," he answered the question.
As they traversed the rugged terrain of the Land of Waves, Naruto's keen senses detected something amiss, a suspicious puddle that seemed out of place.
"Wait," Kakashi whispered urgently as Naruto moved to investigate.
Deciding to heed Kakashi's warning, Naruto paused, watching the puddle cautiously as they continued walking. Suddenly, without warning, the puddle formed into two ninjas who launched an attack on Kakashi with chains, ripping him to shreds.
"Finally, some excitement," Naruto thought, his adrenaline pumping.
Using Ren, Naruto focused on outputting a large amount of aura explosively. His aura tinged with hostility, inducing dread in the enemy ninjas and freezing them in their tracks.
"How disappointing you are," Naruto said, his voice dripping with disdain as he approached the immobilized enemies.
Just as Naruto was about to strike, Kakashi appeared, urging him to hold back. "Don't be hasty, Naruto. We still don't know what they're after," Kakashi cautioned.
Reluctantly, Naruto relented, allowing Kakashi to restrain the enemy ninjas while he reined in his oppressive aura.
As the tension dissipated, the rest of the team let out a collective sigh of relief. They couldn't help but wonder how Naruto could emanate such an intense aura of bloodlust.
As Kakashi questioned the captured ninja, they remained stubborn, refusing to divulge any information. Sensing an opportunity, Naruto stepped forward with a confident smile.
"Let me have a crack at them," Naruto said, his eyes gleaming with excitement
As the demon brothers caught sight of Naruto's smile, a chill ran down their spines. They knew that this Genin possessed a dangerous aura, one they didn't dare to challenge.
With Naruto's intimidating presence looming over them, the demon brothers quickly spilled the beans, revealing that they were after Tazuna, the old man they were tasked to protect.
Kakashi turned to Tazuna, curiosity evident in his gaze. "Why were the demon brothers after you?" he inquired.
Tazuna took a deep breath, steeling himself before explaining the dire situation in the Land of Waves. He revealed the oppression and tyranny inflicted upon his homeland by a powerful and corrupt businessman who sought to control the country for his own gain. Tazuna's mission to build a bridge was not just about infrastructure but a symbol of hope and liberation for his people.
As the truth unfolded, Team 7 realized the gravity of their mission. They were not just protecting a bridge builder; they were safeguarding the aspirations and dreams of an entire nation.
Naruto's eyes lit up with a twisted gleam. A creepy smile spread across his face, and his bloodlust began to leak out again. The oppressive aura of malevolence radiated from him, making everyone around him tense with unease.
Kakashi turned to Naruto, his concern deepening."What's happening to him?" he wondered
Sakura and Sasuke felt the same oppressive atmosphere. Sakura, especially, felt a shiver run down her spine. "What is going on with Naruto," she thought, fear creeping into her mind.
''How was he able to hide his true nature for so long" Sasuke wondered
Even Tazuna, who had been focused on his own worries, noticed Naruto's unsettling change. He couldn't help but take a step back, feeling an inexplicable dread.
Naruto, sensing their fear, relished the moment. "This is what I live for," he thought, his smile growing wider. "The thrill, the fear... it's all so exhilarating."
Kakashi decided to step in before things escalated. "Naruto," he said firmly, placing a hand on the boy's shoulder, reign it in. We need to focus on the mission."
Naruto's smile turned playful" I am sorry just get excited. The thought of more assassins coming to play fills me with joy."
With the truth out in the open, Team 7 prepared to continue their journey, now fully aware of the dangers that lay ahead. Naruto, still buzzing with the thrill of impending battle, couldn't wait to face the challenges that awaited them in the Land of Waves.
Team 7 came across Zabuza Momochi. Kakashi fought against the former mist swordsman and ended up captured.
"Run! Get Tazuna to safety!" Kakashi ordered his students, but Naruto and Sasuke refused to leave.
Just as Zabuza was about to tell the genin they weren't real ninja, a figure appeared, his presence causing a stir in the air. Zabuza's eyes widened in recognition and shock. "Hisoka the Magician! What are you doing here?"
Hisoka, known throughout the ninja world for his deadly skills and unsettling demeanor, flicked his wrist, producing a card seemingly out of nowhere. "Oh, I'm just here to have some fun," he said with a playful yet sinister smile. "I've been bored lately."
Hisoka clasped his hands together, and when he opened them, multiple cards appeared. Hisoka began shuffling them with ease, his eyes never leaving Zabuza's.
"Fun, huh? If it's a fight you want, I'm more than happy to grant your wish," Zabuza replied
"Splendid," Hisoka responded, throwing a card infused with powerful Wind Release chakra. The card sliced through the air with lethal precision.
Zabuza was forced to dodge, releasing his hold on the Water Prison. "Tsk," he muttered, realizing his mistake.
Kakashi, freed from the watery prison, caught his breath and nodded in gratitude. "Thank you."
Hisoka smiled, his expression both charming and unnerving. "No thanks needed. Just stay out of my way."
Kakashi, his students, and Tazuna quickly distanced themselves from Hisoka, understanding that this man was a wild card in every sense of the word.
Zabuza recovered his stance, glaring at Hisoka. "You've made a mistake coming here."
Hisoka only smiled wider. "Oh, I doubt that."
With a flick of his wrist, Hisoka sent another card flying towards Zabuza, who deflected it with his massive sword, Kubikiribōchō. The card, infused with Wind Release, sliced through a tree behind Zabuza, showcasing its deadly power.
Zabuza charged at Hisoka, swinging his sword. Hisoka dodged effortlessly, his movements dance-like. He retaliated by throwing another set of cards, each imbued with Wind Release chakra, making them as sharp as blades.
Zabuza deflected the cards with his sword. He quickly performed hand seals and unleashed a Water Dragon Jutsu. The massive dragon made of water surged towards Hisoka, aiming to crush him.
Hisoka, unfazed, used his Wind Release to create a powerful gust, dispersing the water dragon. He then used Bungee Gum, making it invisible, and attached the elastic threads to Zabuza's sword.
Hisoka flicked his wrist again, sending more cards towards Zabuza. These cards, however, created illusions of themselves, making it appear as though dozens of cards were flying at Zabuza from all directions.
Zabuza swung his sword, trying to deflect the incoming attacks, but the real threat was the invisible Bungee Gum. Hisoka used the elastic threads to pull Zabuza off balance, causing him to stagger.
"Wind Style: Great Breakthrough!" Hisoka shouted, sending a powerful gust of wind towards Zabuza. The wind hit Zabuza with force, pushing him back and making it difficult for him to regain his footing.
Zabuza, frustrated, used his Hidden Mist Jutsu to envelop the battlefield in a thick mist, hoping to obscure Hisoka's vision. "You think you can beat me with cheap tricks? Think again," Zabuza's voice echoed through the mist.
Hisoka, smiling to himself, closed his eyes and focused. " Your mist won't save you from this, Zabuza."
Using his enhanced senses, Hisoka pinpointed Zabuza's location within the mist. He infused his cards with Wind chakra once more and threw them with deadly accuracy.
Zabuza defended with the great waterfall technique.
Zabuza summoned water clones. The clones rushed at Hisoka from all directions, swords raised.
Hisoka grinned, his eyes gleaming with excitement. His aura flared, creating an illusion of himself. The water clones slashed at the illusions, only to find themselves striking empty air.
As the mist began to clear slightly, Zabuza lunged at Hisoka with a swift horizontal slash. Hisoka blocked with a a conjured blade, their weapons clashing with a resounding metallic ring. Zabuza pressed forward, his strength pushing Hisoka back.
Hisoka spun away gracefully, using the momentum to launch a kick at Zabuza's midsection. Zabuza blocked with his forearm and countered with a powerful punch. Hisoka ducked under the punch, sweeping Zabuza's legs with a low kick.
Zabuza fell, but he quickly rolled to his feet and retaliated with a series of rapid sword strikes. Hisoka dodged and parried. He threw another card, this one aimed directly at Zabuza's face.
Zabuza tilted his head just in time, the card slicing a thin line across his cheek. He growled in frustration and swung his sword wildly, forcing Hisoka to leap back.
Zabuza formed hand seals quickly, summoning another water dragon. This time, the dragon twisted and coiled, attacking from multiple angles. Hisoka responded with a Wind Release: Vacuum Sphere, shooting compressed air bullets at the dragon.
The water dragon and air bullets collided, creating a violent spray of water and wind. Hisoka took advantage of the chaos, using Bungee Gum to create invisible threads that attached to Zabuza's legs. With a powerful yank, he pulled Zabuza off balance again.
Zabuza fell to one knee but quickly regained his footing. He swung his sword horizontally, slicing through the Bungee Gum threads. Hisoka smirked, impressed by Zabuza's resilience.
Zabuza, determined, activated his Hidden Mist Jutsu again, thickening the mist around them. Hisoka's vision was obscured, but his senses were sharp. He created multiple illusions of himself, each one appearing in different positions within the mist.
Zabuza's eyes darted around, trying to discern the real Hisoka from the illusions. Hisoka used this opportunity to throw more cards, each one appearing to come from a different direction. Zabuza deflected most of them, but a few grazed his arms and legs.
"You're starting to annoy me," Zabuza growled, his voice echoing in the mist.
"Good," Hisoka replied, his voice equally distant and playful.
Zabuza waited for the right moment, then struck. Hisoka sensed the attack coming and used Wind Release: Gale Palm to disperse the mist temporarily.
The sudden gust revealed Zabuza mid-attack. Hisoka dodged, but Zabuza managed to land a glancing blow with his sword. Hisoka's shirt was torn, and a thin line of blood appeared on his chest.
Hisoka's smile widened. "You're good, Zabuza. Very good."
Zabuza, breathing heavily, glared at Hisoka. "I'm not done yet."
Hisoka, still smiling, unleased a powerful wind jutsu, which created a whirlwind, surrounding Zabuza and trapping him in a vortex of sharp wind and cutting edges.
Zabuza tried to break free, but the Bungee Gum threads, now attached to his limbs, held him in place.
Hisoka approached, his eyes gleaming with satisfaction.
With Zabuza immobilized and wounded, Hisoka stopped the vortex, leaving Zabuza battered and bleeding. "It was a fun fight, but it's over."
Zabuza, breathing heavily, glared at Hisoka. "You... who are you really?"
Hisoka's smile remained, but there was a glint of something darker in his eyes. "Just a wandering magician looking for entertainment."
As Hisoka prepared to deliver the final blow to the defeated Zabuza, needles struck Zabuza's neck.
A shadowy figure emerged from the mist, the swirls of the Hidden Mist Village marked on their mask. The Hunter-Nin.
"Thanks for weakening him for me," the Hunter-Nin said, a distorted voice emanating from behind the mask. "You did more than I could hope for. Made my job easy."
Hisoka's eyes narrowed, a dark, dangerous aura beginning to radiate from him. He wasn't pleased to have his prey stolen away. "I don't recall agreeing to assist you," Hisoka stated coldly, his tone laced with a growing menace.
Sensing the rising threat, the Hunter-Nin reacted quickly. Using their Ice Release, they formed a jutsu that encased Hisoka in a thick layer of ice, momentarily freezing him in place. Seizing the moment, the Hunter-Nin hoisted Zabuza's body over their shoulder and disappeared into the mist with their burden, leaving a steaming Hisoka to break free from his icy restraints.
The sound of shattering ice echoed as Hisoka freed himself, his expression one of annoyance mixed with intrigue. "How interesting," he murmured, already plotting his next move in this unexpected game. The interruption was a minor setback, but for Hisoka, the thrill of the hunt was far from over.
As the eerie mist began to dissipate, Hisoka turned to the group, his demeanor calm yet still unnerving. "I will be taking my leave now," he announced. His body changed into cards.
Sakura, still trembling from the overwhelming aura that Hisoka emitted during the fight, looked around bewildered. "Just who was that?" she asked, her voice shaking.
"That was Hisoka 'The Magician'," Kakashi replied, watching the spot where Hisoka had vanished. "A very powerful ninja. "
A few miles away from the scene, Naruto undid his transformation, reverting back to his familiar form. The intensity in his blue eyes didn't fade, though; it burned even fiercer as he clenched his fists.
"That Hunter-Nin... I can't wait to destroy him," Naruto muttered under his breath, a cold edge to his voice that was rarely heard.
