The Wondrous World of Pokémon! A world filled with mysterious creatures known as Pokémon, who come in all shapes and sizes. They live everywhere imaginable. On the land, in the seas and skies, and some even come from outer space. These creatures can bond with humans thanks to the special capture devices known as Pokéballs. Those who use Pokémon for battle are known as Pokémon Trainers. Blue, and her two newfound rivals, Diane and Chocolate, have moved onto the Second Round of the Basalt Contest. Meanwhile, Latrell and Silver met two new friends, Derek and Strayer, and the four of them got caught up in a hunt for a Froakie. And now, we join Fiore and Piplup, as they look towards a familiar Chatot, who crashed into the local Mart with a jeep.
Fiore: Not you guys again!
Piplup: Pip-Pip-Lup! (Points at the jeep as steps in front of Fiore, ready to battle)
Chatot: The little pipsqueak says to leave the Mart and let him and his trainer enjoy their apple juice in peace.
Yosef: We're not here for apple juice, we're here for dough!
Giselle: And we'll be more than happy to pound that pathetic Piplup to a pulp if we have to.
Fiore: You're not stealing anything! Piplup, use Bubble Beam!
Piplup: Pip... Lup! (Fires Bubble Beam at the Pilferers and Greg)
Giselle: Not on my watch. Zubat, use Poison Sting! (Throws out her Pokéball to reveal Zubat, who uses Poison Sting to counter Piplup's Bubble Beam)
Yosef: Rattata, deal with that pest! Quick Attack! (Throws out his Pokéball, and Rattata comes out and charges at Piplup using Quick Attack)
Fiore: Piplup, jump and use Bubble Beam on Rattata!
Piplup: Lup! (Jumps into the air as Rattata's Quick Attack barely misses its mark, then shoots a Bubble Beam straight down at the Mouse Pokémon)
Rattata: Rat! (Squeaks in pain as the Bubble Beam scores a direct hit on it)
Yosef: Rattata!
Piplup: (Lands on its feet and pridefully puffs its chest)
With Blue in the Contest Hall's Arena, battling in her Quarterfinal Match, and its Pikachu VS. her opponent's Pokémon, Houndour
Lilian: And Blue and Simon continue their fierce battle, with 3 minutes left on the clock, this battle is just getting started!
Blue: Pikachu, use Thunderbolt!
Pikachu: (Jumps in the air and charges up electricity) Pika-Pika-Chu-Pi! (Fires off a fast Thunderbolt at Houndour)
Simon: Houndour, dodge it!
Houndour: (Growls as it attempts to sidestep the Thunderbolt to dodge it, but fails to do so in time and takes a direct hit from Thunderbolt)
Lilian: And Simon's failed dodge costs him some points!
(Simon's Point Bar on the huge screen overlooking the arena starts to go down)
Simon: We won't lose! Houndour, Flamethrower!
Houndour: (Barks and lets loose a Flamethrower aimed at Pikachu)
Blue: Pikachu, dodge and then rush in using Quick Attack!
Pikachu: Pika! (Uses Quick Attack to swiftly dodge the Flamethrower, then runs in a zig-zag towards Houndour and rams into the Dark Pokémon from its right side)
Houndour: (Lets out a bark of pain as it slides on the ground from being hit by Quick Attack)
Simon: Houndour!
Lilian: And with 2 minutes and 30 seconds left on the clock, Pikachu's speedy movements cause Simon to lose more points, while Blue has only lost a few!
(The screen shows Simon's points going down even more, and then pan to Blue's picture and point bar, which hasn't gone down much at all)
Simon: Houndour, let's make a comeback! Use Bite!
Houndour: (Growls and rushes at Pikachu using Bite)
Blue: Thunderbolt, one more time!
Pikachu: Pika! (Fires Thunderbolt from where its standing, landing a direct hit on Houndour)
Houndour: (Barks in pain as it's sent flying back and hits the ground from Thunderbolt, now unconscious)
Lilian: Houndour is unable to battle! Battle Off!
(The screen shows the battling Coordinators Points, as Simon's decreases to zero, and Blue is icon is blown up and put on the middle of the screen)
Lilian: Blue and Pikachu have won this battle and advanced to the next round!
Blue: Pikachu, we did it!
Pikachu: Pika! (Runs to Blue and jumps onto her shoulder)
Back with Fiore and Piplup at the Mart, the latter of which is struggling, having to battle Greg, Zubat, and Rattata simultaneously
Fiore: Piplup, use Peck on Zubat!
Piplup: Lup! (Jumps in the air and attempts to use Peck on Zubat)
Greg: Nope! Echoed Voice! (Flies in front of Piplup and uses Echoed Voice on the Penguin Pokémon, stopping its Peck Attack and sending it to the ground)
Fiore: Piplup!
Piplup: Pip- (Gets cut off as Rattata hits him with a Quick Attack, sending him flying back into Fiore, as she catches him before he hits the ground again)
Fiore: Piplup! Are you okay?
Piplup: Pip...
Fiore: C'mon, you should get some rest. (Pulls out Piplup's Pokéball and prepares to return it)
Piplup: Lup! Pip-Pip-Lup! (Jumps out of Fiore's arms and prepares to fight the three opposing Pokémon again)
Greg: Hey! Kids are watching, you know! Hold off on the potty mouth!
Giselle: You're gonna make us a lot of money on the Black Market! Zubat, Poison Sting!
Zubat: Zu! (Shoots Poison Sting at Piplup, causing the Water Type to writhe in pain)
Piplup: Pip...
Fiore: Piplup! You've got this! I believe in you!
Piplup: Pip... Lup! (Stands through the pain, and then jumps in the air, ready to attack the three Pokémon)
Giselle: Zubat, use Wing Attack!
Zubat: (Rushes towards Piplup using Wing Attack)
Yosef: Rattata, Quick Attack!
Rattata: (Sprints towards Piplup using Quick Attack)
Greg: Peck! (Goes towards Piplup using Peck)
Fiore: Piplup, go!
Piplup: Pip... Lup! (Shoots a cold wind out of his beak, which hits all three of its opponents, knocking the Flying Pokémon backwards to the ground, and sending Rattata sliding backwards)
Fiore: What was that move? (Pulls out her Rotom Phone)
Rotom Phone: Icy Wind. An Ice Type Move. The user attacks with a gust of chilled air. This also slows down any Pokémon that it hits.
Fiore: Awesome! You learned Icy Wind! Alright, Piplup, use Flip Turn on Chatot!
Piplup: Pip... Lup! (Rushes at Greg with Flip Turn, hitting him with a watery rush, then quickly returning to his Pokéball)
Fiore: Alright, Ralts, I choose you! (Throws out her Pokéball to reveal Ralts)
Ralts: Ral!
Yosef: Rattata! Quick Attack, post-haste!
Rattata: Tat! (Sprints towards Ralts using Quick Attack, though it's a bit slower due to the effect of Icy Wind)
Fiore: Ralts, grab all three of them with Confusion!
Ralts: Ral! (Uses Confusion, grabbing all three of the opposing Pokémon and holding them up in the air with Psychic Energy)
Giselle: Zubat, break out of there!
Greg: We can't, you dolt!
Fiore: Piplup, come back out and hit them with Icy Wind! (Throws out her Pokéball to reveal Piplup)
Piplup: Pip! (Shoots Icy Wind at the three opposing Pokémon, all knocking them down to the ground and next to Giselle, Yosef, and their jeep)
Yosef: Watch it!
Greg: Can't exactly control where the wind blows!
Fiore: Piplup, use Bubble Beam, and Ralts, use Psybeam!
Piplup: Pip... Lup! (Fires Bubble Beam at the Trio, Zubat, and Rattata)
Ralts: Ralts! (Follows suit with Piplup, using Psybeam, as the two attacks hit their opponents simultaneously)
The Pilferers, Zubat, and Rattata: (All fly off from the explosion of Bubble Beam and Psybeam) You'll pay for this! (Scream even more as they become a little star in the sky)
Fiore: Yes! You two were incredible! (Picks up Piplup and Ralts and hugs them)
Piplup: Pip!
Ralts: Ral!
Cashier: Wow, you're an amazing Trainer!
Fiore: Thanks, is everyone okay?
Customer: Yeah, we're fine. Thanks for saving us and the Mart.
Cashier: Yes, we must give you something in return! What do you want?
Fiore: Apple juice. Every bit of apple juice you have.
Cashier: Okay.. that's just fine.
20 minutes later, with Fiore and her Pokémon carrying some big bags with them, through the streets, with Ralts using Confusion to carry her bags
Fiore: Well, I say today was a good day, what about you two?
Piplup: Pip! (Nods his head)
Ralts: Ral! (Nods in agreement while holding up her hands to carry the Apple Juice with Confusion)
Fiore: Now I think you two need to go to the Pokémon Center. C'mon, let's go!
Piplup: Pip!
Ralts: Ral!
At the same time Fiore was at the Mart, and Blue was battling Simon, we now join Latrell, Silver, Derek, and Strayer still looking for Froakie, with Pidgey and Gligar looking from the air
Latrell: (Running while following behind Pidgey and Gligar) We've been running forever!
Derek: (Running alongside Latrell, Silver, and Strayer) Yeah, when are we gonna find this Froakie?
Silver: Hopefully soon.
(Suddenly, a sphere of water fires at Gligar and lands a direct hit)
Gilgar: Gli! (Falls all the way to the ground, landing in front of the four Trainers)
Derek: Gligar! (Runs up to Gligar, kneels, and picks it up off the ground)
Strayer: What was that?
Silver: That was Water Pulse!
Latrell: Think it was Froakie?
Pidgey: (Chirps as it looks back and towards the ground to see its fellow Flying Type now on the ground)
Silver: Did you see who did that, Pidgey?
Pidgey: (Chirps and nods his head in agreement)
(A Water Pulse then starts flying up towards Pidgey)
Latrell: Pidgey, look out! There's a Water Pulse approaching you!
Pidgey: (Chirps as a Water Pulse scores a direct hit on him, sending him plummeting to the ground)
Latrell: Pidgey, no! (Runs and catches Pidgey before he hits the ground)
Strayer: Are those two okay?
Derek: No, Gligar's down for the count. Thanks for your help, Gligar. Take a good rest. (Returns Gligar to its Pokéball)
Latrell: Same with Pidgey. Thanks for the help, return now. (Returns Pidgey to his Pokéball) That Froakie...
Derek, Latrell, Silver, and Strayer: I've gotta catch it!
And with that, Fiore has successfully defended the Mart, and Piplup has learned Icy Wind! Meanwhile, Blue has won her first Contest Battle and moved onto the Semifinals of the Basalt City Contest. Latrell, Silver, Derek, and Strayer are still on the hunt for Froakie, and it seems to be in their sights! Who will catch this strong-willed Froakie?
