Hey, here's a new (really short) chapter!
Hope you'll enjoy it!
Thanks again to everyone reviewing :)
"Dear Harry,
How are you? How is school going?
I hope everything is still going well for you. I want you to let me know if anything happens. In case of an emergency, don't hesitate to go and see Mrs Figg—she will help you.
As for me, I'm doing well. Nothing much is happening at the castle at the moment, apart from, of course, the frequent and creative breaches of school rules committed by the Weasley twins.
As promised, here's what I can tell you about them. The Weasleys are an old Wizarding family, known for having quite a lot of children. In this generation, there are seven siblings. Two are still too young to attend Hogwarts, so I don't really know them (I only know that Ronald will be starting his first year at the same time as you). And the ones—the cases—that concern me are the twins. They are currently in their second year, but they already seem well on their way to surpassing the Marauders (the nickname given to your father and his group of friends).
Their latest stunt involved creating a magical cloud meant to follow Professor Snape (who teaches Potions and is the Head of Slytherin House) and drench him in a continuous downpour… He was woken in the middle of the night by water on his face and spent a good hour trying to make the cloud disappear (even though the twins are only in their second year, they show remarkable creativity, making their spells rather tricky to counter at times). When he had finally finished storming around the castle at 4 a.m., I thought I'd have some peace until morning, but he then barged into my quarters, brandishing a note—which I've enclosed for you.
That's the sort of pranks the twins come up with. I must admit, they are very talented for their age, but I have to disapprove of their behaviour—they'll never pass their NEWTs at this rate… Still, seeing Professor Snape spend the day with a face that the twins did not hesitate to describe as a "constipated crow" was rather amusing… But I digress.
I'll leave you now—I have lessons to prepare.
Kisses,Your Minnie
P.S.: I've enclosed some Wizarding sweets (I know, there are a lot of lemon drops, but the Headmaster is very fond of them, and that's where I got them from). Be careful with cavities, though!"
With the letter came a small parcel containing two handfuls of sweets (Harry was surprised to discover Chocolate Frogs and only just managed to stop one from escaping his room—something that could have had unpleasant consequences). There was also a novel; as Harry picked it up, a note slipped out. Written on it were the words:
"Harry, I couldn't say this in my letter, as it's possible the Headmaster reads my post, and he has forbidden me from seeing you. But I wanted to tell you to be ready on the third day of the Easter holidays—I'll be coming to take you away for a few days. Try not to mention this plan in your letters, just as a precaution. See you soon, your Minnie."
A second note was included in the package—this was the one Professor Snape had received, as Minnie had mentioned in her letter. Words written in red ink with golden embellishments sprawled cheekily across the parchment:
"We are committed to the cleanliness of Hogwarts' teaching staff (and their personal hygiene too)! Enclosed is a voucher for 'Greasy Hair' shampoo—we have an agreement with them to supply you with it free of charge.
Signed: The Hogwarts Hygiene and Morality Committee."
I'll probably post the next chapter soon, hope you liked this one already^^
