Author's Note: This chapter is just everyone else's reaction in the hospital. The next chapter will be focused on more of Kellie's reaction. Monica will find out about Charles in the next few chapters as well.

"What just happened?" Sonny asked as he and Nina walked up to Jason, "The SEC took Carly and Michael away and Charles isn't actually dead."

"I have no idea what the deal is with Carly, Michael, and the SEC," Jason said, "I got here in time to see them escorted out. I was looking for Kellie to tell her about Charles. I only found out when I got to the hospital."

"Are we sure it's actually him?" Sonny asked.

"It's him," Max said, "That has been verified."

"By who and where was he?" Sonny inquired.

"Greenland," Jason said, "Victor Cassadine was holding him there. I don't know much more than that at this point."

Sonny saw Diane walk by and motioned her over. Meanwhile, more men in suits carrying badges entered the hospital, including Agent Hursley.

"Diane," Sonny said, "Michael and Carly were brought in for questioning by the SEC. I need you to get down the PCPD and…"

"That one is going to have to wait," Diane said as she heard Agent Hursley ask Nurse Driscoll where Charles Scott was.

"Excuse me, Gentlemen," Diane said, walking over to Agent Hursley, "Did I hear you say Charles Scott?"

"Yes, can you help us find him?" Agent Hursley asked.

"Well that depends, I am Mr. Scott's attorney," Diane said, "Why would you be looking for him at the moment."

"It seems he took off on his own instead of being debriefed and evaluated in New York," Agent Hursley said, "After being held captive by Victor Cassadine for months."

"To my understanding, the WSB escorted him here to Port Charles," Diane said, "It sounds like you and WSB have things mixed up?"

"We are the WSB. We're not sure how he did it and even if it was a mix-up," Agent Hursley said, "he still needs to be evaluated by our specialists."

"Mr. Scott is currently being evaluated here by specialists," Diane said, "It is Mr. Scott's right to see his own specialists, is it not? We're more than happy to share that information with the WSB. If you need to debrief or question him, then I'm happy to arrange a time to meet with him at the PCPD for that purpose."

Agent Hursley was visibly angry, knowing he had no grounds to detain Charles.

"I would say with the medical evaluations, I can arrange for him to be at the PCPD two days from now," Diane said, "Take it or leave it."

"Fine," Agent Hursley said, reluctantly, "But he better show up or I will have grounds to detain him."

Agent Hursley stormed off, his agent following him. Diane went back over to Sonny, Nina, Jason, and Max.

"If he comes back for Charles, I want to know immediately," Diane said, "Now I'll see about Carly and Michael."

"Thanks, Diane," Jason said, "I need to go find Kellie."

"Jason, we should probably talk about this," Sonny said as Jason left.

"Mr. C., now's not the time," Max said, "There's still a lot to sort out and Kellie just found out her father-in-law, the man that took a bullet for her isn't dead after all. I need to tell Milo. Actually, I need to figure out if Sage has a shift today because she might hear from the hospital chatter."

Max followed after Jason, leaving Sonny and Nina to themselves.

"This has a certainly been a day," Nina said, a little nervously, as Liesl made her way over to them.

"Yeah," Sonny said absentmindedly.

"Are you okay?" Nina asked, "I'm sure Diane will get Carly and Michael sorted out with the SEC. And Charles is alive that's good news."

"It is," Sonny said, "Watching Kellie's reaction to seeing Charles just and thinking back to when she found me in Nixon Falls, she ran out of the Tan-O when she found me."

"I can see how that hurts," Nina said, "You also didn't know who you were when she found you, And hey at least Michael invited you to the wedding. Maybe you'll make progress with Kellie too one day."

"Might I suggest someone tell my great-niece that her husband been hauled to the police station," Liesl said, "Before anything else happens today."

"Oh god, right, Aunt Liesel," Nina said, "I should…"

"Go," Sonny said, "Liesl's right."

Nina quickly walked off.

"Liesl, did you know about Charles?" Sonny asked, "Was he with you in Greenland?"

"I saw him after Marcus Taggert found him briefly before Drew brought me back here," Liesl said, "I knew Victor had another test subject but not who until Taggert found him."

"And no one thought we should have a heads up that he was headed back here," Sonny inquired.

"It was my understanding it was being handled," Liesl said, "How I don't know exactly. I must admit I was surprised your daughter didn't already know about Charles when I ran into her right before the SEC showed up."

"Alcazar definitely knew," Sonny said, "He was standing there with Charles and some guards. I guess I should go find him."

"Sonny, might I suggest you just be happy for your daughter and grandchildren right now," Liesl said, "Charles's return is obviously being handled by Ms. Miller and Mr. Alcazar. If I'm not mistaken your relationship with Kellie is a minefield and your interference at this point probably would not be welcome. I'm sure the answers will come in time."

"You might have a point," Sonny said, reluctantly.

"You also might consider if what I heard about Charles's death is true," Liesl said, giving Sonny something to think about, "That your daughter was the intended target and that she could have been the one thought to be dead and held captive all these months."

Meanwhile, Sage entered the hospital area to drop off paperwork at the Nurse's station for a patient, she'd just brought it.

"Well that was certainly some excitement, wasn't it?" Nurse Driscoll chattered away.

"What do you mean?" Sage asked.

"The SEC taking Carly Spencer and Michael Corinthos away," Nurse Driscoll said, "Of course, I'm sure you already know Max and Milo's uncle isn't really dead. I mean your brother-in-law was here when we all saw him."

Sage just looked utterly confused.

"Is my brother-in-law still here?" Sage asked finally.

"Maybe," Nurse Driscoll said, "He was here, but he and Jason Morgan cleared out pretty quickly after everything happened."

"Do you know which way Max went?" Sage asked, getting her phone out.

Nurse Driscoll shook her head as Sage walked off texting Max and Milo.
