While Kellie was upstairs, Jason arrived home to find Spencer wiping up powdered sugar from Kelsey's face.

"Spencer," Jason said.

"Hi, Kellie went to make sure the other kids were doing their homework," Spencer said, "I just thought I'd stop by since it sounded like Kellie had said to."

"It's fine, Spencer," Jason said, "You're welcome here anytime. Kellie told me you used to just show up at their house in California."

"I'm sorry I didn't think to make sure you knew you could still come over when I moved to Port Charles," Kellie said, joining them.

Jason scooped Kelsey up and proceeded to leave the kitchen, "I'll leave you two to talk."

"I live in Port Charles, so it certainly didn't make sense to just…." Spencer started to say and looked away.

"Spencer, look at me," Kellie said, "You are family. You are welcome here anytime and the next time you come up with some ill-advised scheme like trying to out Esme by pretending to date Trina or running after one of your insane relatives alone, maybe come talk to me first."

"You figured the plan with Trina out," Spencer said, kind of sheepishly.

"Alyssa let something slip," Kellie replied.

"It's bad enough that you got caught in Helena's crosshairs when she was alive,"," Spencer said, "I didn't think you needed to get caught in my Uncle Victor's crosshairs. Although I guess you already had since he hired the sniper to go after you, but Charles was shot and captured instead. You know what, I shouldn't have even brought that that up. Maybe you could help with Esme though and find dirt on her so I can get custody of Ace."

"You're going to have to tell what has gone on with Esme and all of it," Kellie said, "I can definitely look into her background. However, your biggest problem is that Esme hasn't been charged with a crime at this point. You will have to proceed with extreme caution however you decide to play this. From what I've heard, Esme knows how to play the victim. She is a young female that had sex with her boyfriend's father, a man at least twice her age and got pregnant. Typically, when a man is old enough to be a women's father like that, the optic is that she was taken advantage of. Even more so, since you're from a wealthy, powerful family. That's exactly how she will make sure this looks."

"But I'm sure she took advantage of him," Spencer protested, "Even if I hold a very low opinion of my father these days."

"Even if your father was here," Kellie said, "It would be her word against his."

"Are you telling me that I have no hope of getting Ace away from Esme?" Spencer asked.

"To be honest, I have no idea at this point," Kellie said, "What I'm trying to do is explain how the situation looks as it currently stands. Right now she could leave town with Ace and there is nothing you can do about it. I will look into her background and see what I can find. But I can't guarantee anything."

"I'll take it," Spencer said, "You know I want the type of public humiliation you've managed to bring against Cyrus Renault and Michael."

"You shouldn't know anything about any of that," Kellie said.

"Somehow you had Cyrus arrested by the cops when he was trying to pitch your foundation board to partner with him," Spencer said, "I know that Michael got ousted from ELQ after you delayed his coffee shipments and Valentin and Ned found out about him using ELQ resources to go after Uncle Sonny."

"Let's not get ahead of ourselves," Kellie said, "Let's just see what I find and go from there."

"This is going to be great," Spencer said, having difficulty containing his excitement, "I don't know why I didn't ask before. Now Esme will get what she deserves and I get to learn from my brilliant cousin."

"Spencer, I'm not teaching you whatever it is you think you're going to learn from me," Kellie said.

"I can still hope I'll learn something in the process," Spencer said.

Kellie shook her head and then changed the subject.

"So you and Trina?" Kellie inquired.

"What about me and Trina?" Spencer asked.

"Are you just friends or maybe more than friends?" Kellie said, "She followed you on the Haunted Star when she thought you might be in trouble with Victor."

"She agreed to be my girlfriend if that answers your question," Spencer replied, "Trina's not like anyone else I've met. She's special in ways I can't describe. Wait, you know Trina's dad don't you?"

"Yes," Kellie said, "But how exactly is that relevant to our discussion?"

"I'm just thinking if he's resistant to me dating Trina," Spencer said, "You might be able to smooth the waters a bit."

"You've got to figure that one out on your own," Kellie said, "Also, are you aware that your father was engaged to his sister, Trina's aunt at one time?"

"Wait, what?" Spencer asked.

"There's a history there," Kellie said, "I don't know the details. But it might help to be forewarned."

"That is helpful information," Spencer said, "Even if I'm not sure what to do with it yet."

"You and Trina will figure it out," Kellie said, "It might just take more time than you want. All good relationships worth having are worth the time."

"I'll try to keep that mind," Spencer said, looking to change the subject, but nervous, "I think I owe you an apology."
