Several Days Later

Kellie and Jason's House

Kellie's last client of the day had canceled and she went home early. When She entered the house, she heard voices from the study.

"Carly can't go to prison, Jason," Sonny said.

"What does Diane have to say about it?" Jason asked.

"Not a lot. Attorney Client Privilege," Sonny said, "That bastard Ryan Lavery struck a plea deal, told the SEC he didn't know anything about Carly's purchase until after she'd already done it."

"That's not good," Jason said, "Has anyone figured out why the SEC had any interest in that anonymous tip."

"Carly said Diane thinks it's possible the it might not have anything to do with Carly or the ELQ," Sonny said, "that you and I are the real targets."

"Has Carly been offered a deal?" Jason asked.

"No," Sonny said, "But she said Diane thinks the feds might offer one. I told Carly she should take the deal and offer the feds information on us."

When Kellie didn't hear a response from Jason, stunned, she backed away from the study door, slowly, resisting the urge to interrupt.

Kellie quietly made her way to the garage fighting disbelief. Once in the garage, she was about to pick up her boxing gloves when she looked at her motorcycle. Kellie retreated from grabbing the gloves and grabbed her riding gear instead. Before putting the riding gloves one, she disabled the tracker on her phone and the tracker on the bike. She put the gloves on, opened the garage door, and took off on the bike into the pouring rain.

Back inside the house, Jason looked at Sonny unsure of what to say next.

"If we both go to prison, Sonny," Jason said, "Do you have any idea what that means?"

"Carly can stay with her kids," Sonny said.

"And what about the business," Jason said, "Brick obviously would still run his territory with you."

"You could certainly run my territory you stole from me in prison," Sonny said, pointedly.

"And risk another war over territory," Jason said.

"This isn't something I would have thought you'd hesitate over," Sonny said, "You went to prison to look after Michael."

"That was under different circumstances then," Jason said, "It's a lot more complicated now. We'd risk Kellie possibly running things too if a turf war ensures."

"As much as I hate it," Sonny said, "She could handle it. But that shouldn't be necessary."

"Sonny, as I much as I wish it wouldn't be the case," Jason said, "and much as you hate to admit it, things weren't stable once you disappeared to Nixon Falls. Yes, whoever was attacking us stopped. But that doesn't mean they might not try again if we're both in prison. Dammit, Sonny, Kellie was working on getting out of the shipping business too, especially with Pikeman sniffing around."

"Pikeman has nothing to do with Kellie," Sonny protested, "Kellie's what this is really about. You don't want to leave her."

"She's my wife, Sonny," Jason said, "No matter how it started out, I love her and my kids. After being held at the Russian clinic and being away from Jake and Danny, I never wanted to put them or Kelsey now through that again."

"So it's okay for Carly be ripped away from her kids," Sonny said.

"Of course, it's not, Sonny," Jason replied, heatedly.

"And it's certainly not okay for Jason to ripped from his kids either for something I did," Carly interrupted, "Sonny, I told you that a deal with the feds like that was off the table. I obviously didn't get here in time to stop a blow up with you and Kellie, judging by the way Kellie peeled out of here on her bike."

"What are you talking about, Carly?" Jason said, "Kellie hasn't had any part of this conversation. She's not here. She was meeting with clients today."

"Pretty sure that was Kellie's bike I saw tear out of here," Carly said.

"It was," Francis said, joining them, "I don't know what happened here or why Sonny felt he needed to talk to Jason here. But Kellie disabled the GPS trackers. She was out of the driveway before we realized what was going on."

"She's got a head start," Jason said, "But Johnny will find her. He usually does."

"Johnny's off today," Francis said, "One of the other guards is seeing if he can catch up to her. But it's not like we can break traffic laws to catch up."

"Call Brick and Spinelli," Jason said to Francis, "See if they can track her."

"Already done," Francis said, "I'll call Lorenzo next. Max is checking with Sage and Milo."

"I'll call Lulu, Sam, and Maxi to let us know," Carly said, "Olivia too. What about Charles?"

"He's at the zoo with Kelsey," Jason said.

"He's out for now anyway," Carly said, "I don't think this is something she'd go to him about."

"I might regret asking," Francis said, "But what did Sonny do to upset Kellie this time?"

"I never saw Kellie," Sonny said.

"Well she obviously overheard you telling Jason he thought I should give the Feds information on him and Jason to get the SEC charges dropped," Carly said, "After I already told Sonny that wasn't an option."

Francis looked at all three of them stunned.

"You're in the doghouse," Francis said to Jason, shaking his head.

"I didn't agree to it," Jason protested.

"Yet," Sonny muttered causing Carly, Jason, and Francis to glare at him.

"Sonny, go home," Carly said, "You're not helping."

"I'll show him out," Francis said.

"Francis, go track Kellie down," Sonny said, "We need to continue this conversation."

"There's nothing to discuss, Sonny," Carly said, grabbing Sonny by the arm and dragging him out of the study, "I'm not making a deal like that and I'm not asking either of you to go to prison. Not when I'm the one that screwed up."

"Sonny, next you have something to discuss with me," Jason said, "Call and arrange to meet me somewhere. Don't show up at the house here. I won't let you up to the house again."

Sonny was about to reply when Francis interrupted.

"Let's go, Sonny," Francis said, "So we can focus on figuring out where your daughter disappeared to."

Carly and Francis maneuvered Sonny out of the room, leaving Jason to himself.

Charlie's

Johnny and Liz were having drinks and a late lunch when Johnny's buzzed. Johnny looked at Francis's message asking him to call and with an SOS.

"Is everything okay?" Liz asked.

"I don't think so," Johnny said, "I need to call Francis back."

Liz nodded as Johnny left the table for a few minutes to take the call privately.

"What happened?" Liz asked when Johnny got back.

"Kellie went missing, voluntarily," Johnny said, "She disabled all her trackers, took off on her motorcycle, and no one knows where she is right now."

"Her motorcycle?" Liz replied, "In this rain? Why?"

"According to Francis, Sonny and Jason were discussing the idea of Carly giving the feds information on Sonny and Jason to drop the SEC charges," Johnny said, "They didn't realize Kellie came home early and no one knows what she probably overheard."

"Did Jason agree to that?" Liz asked, "Although I wouldn't blame Kellie for thinking Jason might do that depending on what she heard."

"Francis says no," Johnny said, "And Carly showed up telling Sonny off for bringing it up when she said that wasn't an option."

Johnny looked exasperated.

"Go look for her," Liz said.

"Are you sure?" Johnny said, "I hate bailing on you but."

"Go," Liz said, "You're not just her guard, you're her friend. Not to mention, she's Jake's stepmom. When you find her, tell her I'll bring the tequila this time."

"Do I want to know?" Johnny asked.

"That's between her and me," Liz smirked.
