Corinthos Coffee Warehouse

Jason was pacing in the warehouse when Johnny called.

"Please tell me you found her," Jason said when he answered.

"I caught up with her," Johnny answered.

"Where is she?" Jason asked, relieved, "Are you on your way back to the house?"

"Kellie's safe," Johnny said, "But she ran out of fuel and was walking down the road. She was wet and cold. We're getting her warmed up at a safe house."

"Which one?" Jason said.

"Kellie wants space right now," Johnny said, "I think you need to give it to her."

"But I need to explain that I didn't agree to Sonny's plan to keep Carly out of prison," Jason said, "Has Kellie said anything about what she heard?"

"Not to me, not yet," Johnny answered.

"What about Kellie's bike?" Jason asked, "I can at least pick that up."

"It's already being handled along with additional guards," Johnny said, "I get this looks like a misunderstanding, but you have to give Kellie space at least for tonight. We'll get her warmed up and calmed down. Then the two of you can talk."

"Will you at least tell her I wasn't going to agree to go to prison for the SEC charges against Carly to be dropped?" Jason asked.

"Just be patient, Jason," Johnny said, "I'll be in touch."

Jason frustrated, thought for a moment.

"Max," Jason said, "I need you to see if you can figure out who Johnny had pulled to go the safehouse.

"I'll see what I can do," Max answered, "Just stay put for now."

Max walked off to start making calls.

Awhile later, Jason checked in with Max.

"Anything on who Johnny called in," Jason asked.

"Johnny didn't pull any of our usual guys," Max said, "To go to the safehouse or pick up Kellie's bike."

"What?" Jason replied, then thought about it, "They have to be using Lorenzo's people."

"Maybe," Max said, "But I doubt they'll tell us anything if Lorenzo is involved."

"I'll have to ask Lorenzo where she is," Jason said, exasperated.

"We both know that won't go well," Max said.

"I have to do something," Jason said, "I don't even know what Kellie thinks right now. Call Brick, see if he can track her down."

"Man, I really am going to have to tell you to count to ten," Carly said, entering the warehouse.

Jason looked at Max who shrugged neither confirming or denying he'd called Carly.

"Looks like I got here just in time," Carly said, "Before you and Lorenzo come to blows."

"You don't know that's what will happen," Jason said.

"Pretty sure it would," Carly said, "Lorenzo's ridiculously protective of his daughter and nieces. Whatever misunderstanding Kellie has over the situation, Lorenzo isn't letting you near her until she says she's ready."

"What exactly am I supposed to do in the meantime," Jason asked, "I can't just sit around and do nothing."

"Call Kellie and leave a voicemail," Carly said, "It'll be there when she's ready to listen. Maybe if you're lucky she'll pick up on the first try."

"She hasn't answered any of my other calls," Jason said.

"Try again, leave the message you want to leave her," Carly said, "The one that tells her how you feel."

Jason let out a deep breath.

"I'll be in my office," Jason said. Carly nodded and Jason walked to his office and shut the door.

Jason pulled out his phone and called Kellie. The call went straight to voicemail.

"Kellie, I know that you're upset and hurt," Jason said, "I love you and whatever you think might be happening with Carly's SEC case, I'm not going to prison. That's not even an option. I can't leave you or the kids not like that. You mean too much to me. Just call me, please."

Jason ended the call. He sat at the desk until Carly walked in.

"I take it she didn't answer," Carly said.

"No," Jason said.

"Alright, well you're not going to sit here and mope," Carly said, "She'll call back. I guarantee it."

"It's just she's never not talked to me like this," Jason said, "Even when we disagree about something."

"But she's usually not upset at you," Carly said, "It's the kind of upset she gets at Sonny or one of her enemies and she's needs time to think, to catch her breathe. That's actually a good thing, it means that just idea of you being gone matters a lot to her."

"Carly," Jason said.

"You're not getting what you want tonight," Carly interrupted, "Here's what we're going to do. You and I are going to The Floating Rib, have food and drinks, play some pool to keep your mind of the situation. If Kellie hasn't contacted you, you'll check in with Johnny. See where her head's at. If she's still not ready, you're going to go home and get some sleep."

"No, I'm getting Lorenzo to tell me where Kellie is," Jason said.

"Wrong again, Jason," Carly said, "You two will still butt heads. So that's where I come in. I'll get Kellie's location out of Lorenzo. Now let's go, so I can beat you at pool."

Jason shook his head and Carly grabbed his arm and dragged him out of the warehouse as she yelled, "Max, bring the car around."
