I just... kept walking.

Honestly, I wasn't trying to find a town as much as... process everything that happened, so I can't say I'm surprised I didn't come out of the forest yet.

I was taken by THE Nyarlathotep, thrown into the world of Fairy Tail, and told that he wants me to be his entertainment by starting a Guild, legal one at that, with one of the most unhinged groups in all of fiction history.

Oh, and that comes to my other problem.

I was stuck with THE Yhwach. The King of Quincy that wishes to destroy the borders between life and death, and I apparently had to work with him and his group in order to start a Guild.

This is just perfect.

... How was I even supposed to react to this situation? Cry? What's that gonna do? Was I supposed to laugh? At who? Myself?

"With how you walk in circles, I doubt you truly wish to escape this forest," I groaned as I turned back and looked at Yhwach.

"Well, since my eyes can't see everything, I can't exactly see where's the exit," I complained at the omniscient being in front of me.

"Your eyes may not see all, but surely they can see that," Yhwach's eyes turned to look at something on the left and I followed his gaze.

... There's an actual mountain with a building on top just a few miles at most from here. How the hell did I actually miss that?

Oh, right. Emotionally devastated and all that.

Groaning again, I decided to just head towards the mountain since it's literally the only sign of civilisation. "Do you think there's a town in there?" The question came out instinctively. Its a habit people develop when trying to get out of awkward silence.

"There are thousands of civilians forming a large town near that mountain," Yhwach replied as he walked by my side. "There are those with stronger presence, though nothing noteworthy."

I don't even know why he answered. I doubt it's because he suddenly decided to help me. So, it's probably because he wanted to show off how superior he is or how much he knows.

"The stronger presence are probably Mages," I said, trying to keep the conversation going. "And, no offence, but your definition of 'noteworthy' is really high bar for this world."

"Mages?" Yhwach asked.

"In this world, most supernatural abilities and/or individuals are related to Magic," I explained.

"The people of this world seem aware of its nature," Yhwach commented without me mentioning it. He was probably looking across the entire world at this moment.

"Yeah. The population knows about Magic and Mages. They even do public work. In this world, the ratio of people with supernatural abilities is way higher than that of the one you're used to," I explained.

Yhwach hummed but said nothing. He was probably looking around the world again to see how it works with all this Magic stuff around.

It didn't take long to come out of the forest. As soon as I did, I saw the whole mountain surrounded by small buildings. Well, they were small compared to the mountain itself, at least.

With a sigh, I looked at myself to make sure I don't look like a cave man that crawled out of the jungle. I was wearing some plain pants, a white shirt, and a black jacket. Making sure everything was in order, I walked into the nearest street of the town.

People would glance at my direction but would immediately go back to doing their own things. Judging by the fact the King of Quincy behind me wasn't getting any stares, which I doubt he wouldn't, I guess people couldn't see him.

Reaching what looks like an Inn, I walked inside and looked around. The place had a few tables with people eating food in as a waitress went back and forth. Behind the reception was a middle-aged man with greying brown hair and beard.

"Excuse me," I said as I walked closer to the reception. "Do you have any rooms available?"

"Sure, we have one left. That'll be fifteen thousand Jewels per night," the man said.

I have no idea how expensive that is, but I do know I don't have it. "Ah, about that..." I scrambled my brain trying to think of an excuse. "I was... actually robbed by bandits on the way over. They took everything I have. I was hoping I can work in exchange for a room? I'll do the dishes and other chores!"

At first, the receptionist frowned as soon as I mentioned being robbed, probably thinking I was trying to pity him into getting a free room, but he stopped frowning and began stroking his beard when I said I'd work for it.

"Well... we are a bit packed today," he said, looking around the tables before looking back at me. "Tell you what? You do the dishes and cleaning for the tables, and I'll give you a room for ONE night. But, after that, you either have to pay or leave. I have to make a living, after all. Make sure to report to the Rune Knights about the bandits first thing in the morning."

"I understand, thank you," I said.

After that... Well, it's pretty much what anyone would guess. Me cleaning filthy dishes and waiting tables. I did my absolute best at them... Which I probably did just to distract myself from the current situation.

When the day was over, the receptionist lead me to my room for the night and I immediately flopped into the bed. When I closed my eyes, I was seriously hoping they would open to show my room.

"Wake up this instant," Sadly, I jolted awake at the sound of Yhwach's commanding voice.

Looking around frantically, I saw the window showing the sun outside, meaning I actually did get some sleep. Silver lining, in this situation.

Normally I wouldn't get up this easily. But, Yhwach's voice just had this authority to it that made you instinctively follow his orders. Guess what they say about true Kings being different than normal people is true.

"Uh... What do you want?" I groaned as I got up and sat my legs on the ground.

Yhwach, who was standing near the bed, looked at me. "Tell me what is your plan now."

"What?" I asked, confused, but he just kept staring at me.

Does he really think I have a plan?... No, there's no way he doesn't know I have nothing. He's probably trying to make me rush into decisions to see what I would do.

Sadly, it's working.

"Well, Nyarlathotep said I can Summon up to five Quincies at the moment," I got off the bed and stretched my back. "So, let's go do that to get some company."

Time to Summon some Quincy... I guess.
