After thanking the Inn keeper and leaving, I decided to go back to the forest for Summoning the Quincy since I didn't think it was a good idea to do it in the room or somewhere in the middle of town.

... Probably should have asked where exactly I am, but I'll worry about that later.

"Okay... so... How do I do this?" I asked myself as I stood in the middle of the forest.

Suddenly, a screen popped up.

Summon Quincies?

Yes

No

I just stared at the screen in defeat.. I was hoping to Summon them one by one to ease into things, but I guess this is just another reminder on why we can't have nice things.

"Are you going to actually do something for once?" Yhwach's voice reminded me that I wasn't alone here.

Which really wasn't that much of a comfort. With a sigh, I pushed the 'Yes' option and watched as a flash of light burst from the air in front of me. When the light was gone, in front of me stood five individuals.

They all wore white, military-like uniforms but that's all the similarities they had. The first one was a man with long blond hair and green eyes. His uniform had a bit of blue fur around the collar and a golden cross on the collar itself. Strapped to his waist was a double edged sword with a golden guard-cross and black handle. That was Jugram.

The second was a man of similar age, though his collar was slightly untied showing a bit of his chest. His uniform was a bit less professional than the others and his sleeves were pulled back slightly to reveal his forearms. On his hands were black gloves. His head was mostly shaved save for a pink mawhawk. It was Bazz B.

The third was a rather skinny man. His uniform looked less of a military one and was just plain weird. There was an odd, thin, cast around the collar. His black hair was messy and mostly pulled backwards. His name is Askin, I think.

The fourth was the only girl in the group. She was a petite group with her uniform having a skirt instead of pants. She was wearing short, white and yellow gloves with similar long socks but with arrow line patterns. On her head was a large hat over her blond hair. I think her name is Liltotto?

The last one was the largest of the group. He wasn't wearing a uniform like the others but just white pants. On his shoulders was white armor holding a red cape. Most of his head was covered by a helmet with wings on the side and his long blond hair fell straight into his back. It was Gérard.

When they all stood up and looked around, obvious confusion on their features, I opened my mouth to say something only to realise I have no idea what to say.

I really should start planning these things through.

"Uh... Hi," I started as I weakly raised my hand and waved at them. "I guess you're... wondering what's going on, right?"

"Not... really," Jugram said, looking like he's blinking away spots in his eyes.

"What?" I asked, confused.

"We know why we're here," Askin replied, scratching the back of his head with a groan. "As soon as we got here, information popped into our heads... Feels freaking weird."

"Well, I guess that saves some explanation," I mumbled.

"You freaking kidding me!?" Bazz B practically growled, glaring bloody murder at me. "Did we really get back just to be your lackies? Bullshit!" He walked up to me and looked like he wanted to grab me by the collar. "Listen here, you little shit! I- what the hell!?"

As you can guess, his hand couldn't touch me. His hand just pass through me. He looked at it, confused, before he tried again, and again, before he outright threw a punch at me -which I so, definitely didn't flinch from- but that still didn't do anything.

"Yeah, uh, you really can't touch me... or anything for that matter," I said as he kept trying to do something to me. "You're basically stuck in a state of existence and non-existence at the same time. Even he can't do anything like that," I said motioning to Yhwach.

As soon as I did, the entire group's eyes widened, like they haven't noticed him until now. Jugram, Askin, and Gérard all fell to their knees immediately, bowing down to him, but Bazz B and Liltotto just took a step back, their eyes narrowing to a glare.

"Have your legs been replaced with sticks, Bazz B, Liltotto?" Yhwach asked, leveling them with a firm glare. "If so, break them and get on your knees."

"You actually expect us to bow after you tried to kill us?" Bazz B asked, glarin back at Yhwach.

"Watch your tongue, Bazz B," Jugram stood up, glaring at Bazz B with his hand on his sword's handle.

"Make me!" Bazz B looked ready to start a fight.

"Okay! Let's stop and take a moment to calm down!" I called out, getting between the two after reminding myself that they can't hurt me. "How about you tell me exactly what you know so we can fill the gaps?"

"Works for me," Askin shrugged his shoulders after standing up.

"The hell makes you think I'll listen to you!?" Bazz B yelled, glaring at me now.

"Because you can't touch me or anyone else and you have literally nothing better to do?" I suggested which just made him glare harder. "Look, man," I sighed, running a hand through my hair. "This situation is shit for all of us. So just... work with me, okay? Let's at least find something to work with? Please, Mr. Cool mawhawk?"

I honestly just said the last part in a desperate attempt to hopefully cool him down, though it did earn me weirded out looks from Askin, Liltotto, and I think Gérard but I couldn't tell with his helmet, though he did turn his head to look at me. Bazz B, however, just looked at me for a second before clicking his tongue.

"Well, you have good taste, at least," Bazz B casted a quick glare at Yhwach and Jugram behind me before taking a step back and putting his hands in his pockets.

"Okay, so... What exactly is the information you got?" I asked.

"We know we're in another world," Jugram began answering. "And that we've been Summoned to help you fulfil the orders of something that wanted to use you as amusement. What we need to do is help you start a 'Guild' with nothing but Quincy in it."

"That's more or less all of it, yeah," I nodded before adding. "And before you think of anything stupid, please remember that what did this is strong enough to leave HIM powerless," I motioned to Yhwach.

"What the hell is a 'Guild'?" Liltotto asked taking what appeared to be a candy bar out of her pocket. "Is this some fantasy RPG crap where we have to gain levels?"

"No," I shook my head as she began eating the candy bar. "Well, yes for the fantasy part. Guilds are basically like miniature factions that do jobs for fame, money, or plain adventure. There's a whole system for them and all but I don't want to get into politics right now."

"Hold on, you want to start a Guild made entirely of Quincy with us?" Askin questioned, tilting his head at me and giving me a weird look. "But... You're not a Quincy."

"Yeah, and?" I asked, not seeing his point.

"What he meant was, you are supposed to be part of this 'Guild'," Jugram spoke, explaining Askin's point. "But, how can the Guild be entirely be made up of Quincy if you, a normal person, is part of it?"

"That's..." I stopped as I realised his right.

Nyarlathotep told me to start a Guild with just Sternritters and Quincy. But I, a human, can't do that since I'm not one.

How the hell was I supposed to do this then?!

... Wait... There is a way to become a Quincy. Or, specifically, someone that can make me a Quincy.

Cold dread filled me as I slowly turned to look at Yhwach's cruel smirk.

...Ah... Now I understand why he hasn't ordered me to release him again. It's because he noticed that part of Nyarlathotep's orders and was just waiting for me to realise it to.

To become a Quincy, I'll have to release Yhwach.
