"Hehe... Hahaha!" I began laughing hysterically.

Honestly, how could I not? How can I perceive this situation beyond hilariously despair-inducing?

I'm not a Quincy, so I can't start a Guild with nothing but Quincy, which means Nyarlathotep will kill me. I could become a Quincy if I release Yhwach, but then he'd kill me instead.

Isn't it hilarious? Either way, one of them WILL FUCKING KILL ME!

"Damn, we've been here not even fifteen minutes and he already snapped," I heard Askin say through my laughter.

"Listen, weirdo, be crazy later!" Bazz B yelled as he glared at me. "Right now, stop with the creepy laughing and-"

"OH FUCK OFF!" I snapped at him l, glaring at him. "I have it the worst out of all of us so you can shove what you want where the sun doesn't shine!"

Bazz B's face morphed to rage. "Listen here, bastard. You better watch it or-"

"Or what?! You're gonna kill me?! Newsflash, he-" I pointed to Yhwach mid speech. "-is gonna do it before you get the fucking chance! And, even if he doesn't? A being far more powerful than him is gonna fucking gut me!" I held my head in my hands and began walking away. "Just... Just leave me alone..."

Third POV:

The Quincy and their king watched the young man walk away.

"Looks like we finally found someone that is more of a pessimist than you are, Askin," Gérard joked, being the first person to break the silence.

"You think? Feels like he's just in a really bad spot," Askin commented as placed his hands in the pockets of his uniform.

"Screw him, I'm outta here," Bazz B began walking away in a different direction. "You people can do whatever you want but I- Urgh!" Suddenly, Bazz B smacked into something and took a step back. "The hell...?" He looked confused before raising his hand and placing it on what appeared to be an invisible wall.

"I have discovered that we cannot go far without the boy's presence. Most likely a byproduct of our state," Yhwach explained as Bazz B kept feeling around the invisible wall.

"Oh, NOW you tell me?!" Bazz B growled, glaring at the smiling Yhwach. He knew the Quincy King probably didn't mention this before on purpose.

Jugram walked towards where Bazz B was standing and pulled out his sword. He then used it to tap the invisible wall, seemingly testing it in his own way.

"How strong is this barrier, your majesty?" Jugram asked respectfully, turning to Yhwach.

"Nothing I have attempted seem to break through," Yhwach replied, which seemed to shock the Quincy around.

Liltotto took a moment from eating her candy bar to shake her head. "So, we're stuck in an entirely different world with the one guy that can get us out of this spot having an existential crisis? This is just typical."

Askin sighed and rubbed the back of his neck. "I'll go talk some sense into him," he began walking in the same direction the guy that summoned them went.

"Do you think you can actually do that?" Liltotto asked, raising an eyebrow at the skinny man.

In response, Askin simply shrugged his shoulders and continued walking. He reached the same distance Bazz B did, but managed to continue his way, which showed they can keep moving if they're following the one that summoned them. With that out of the way, he kept going.

First POV:

I was laying on the ground, leaning back on one of the trees with my knees raised and using one of my hands to wipe the tears from my eyes.

Really, what else was I supposed to do? No matter what I do, I'm gonna die.

Maybe if I beg hard enough, Yhwach will make it quick?... No, that's believing death can protect me from whatever Nyarlathotep has planned.

In hindsight, I probably should have known I was fucked no matter what I do when I read Nyarlathotep's name.

"You doing okay?" I heard someone say.

Raising my head, I saw Askin standing there. "No matter what decision I make, I'm gonna die. What could possibly make you think I'm doing okay?" I asked.

"I get that. Man, talk about being screwed if you do, screwed if you don't," Askin joked before raising an eyebrow at me. "Do you want advice from someone that knows how to avoid troublesome situations?"

"Oh, please enlighten me," I snarked back.

I didn't mean to. I actually did want advice on how to handle this situation. But, I just wasn't in the mental state to be nice to anyone at the moment.

"Find a middle ground," Askin said.

I looked at him in confusion. "I thought you'd say run away."

"I mean, normally, I'd run from any troublesome situation like this," Askin admitted without any shame. "But you really can't run from this. So, find a middle ground that at least keeps you alive. People really tend to forget there's a middle ground for every bad situation."

I looked down to the ground. I really didn't think there was a middle ground here... but... maybe... maybe I can buy myself some more time.

"Alright," I pulled myself off the ground and wiped the remains of my tears. "Let's go find that middle ground."

Askin snapped his fingers and pointed at me. "That's the spirit... Er...," he then stopped and tilted his name. "What's your name, by the way?"

"Oh, my name is Thompson Vermillion," I replied with a smile, my mood rising. "You can call me Tom."

Huh... Now that I say my name outloud, I feel like there's something I should remember about it. Something about how it sounds like something from Fairy Tail.

Meh, whatever it is, its can't be that important. Plus, I have a deal with my life on the line to make.
