This was stupid and insane. It also had a five percent chance of working at best, and this is my delusional optimism speaking.

Walking back to the group of Quincy, they all turned their eyes to look at me as Askin walked aside, probably to avoid the attention.

I looked at Yhwach and mustered up all my courage. "I want to make a deal."

That obviously peaked Yhwach's curiosity. "A deal?"

"Okay, I'm gonna level with you. We both know there's no positive ending for me on this, and you don't need your Almighty to know that," I started explaining. "So... I just want to buy myself more time."

"Elaborate," Yhwach demanded.

"I will release you and you will give me nine years, nine months, nine weeks, and nine days to prove your father was not wrong," I explained and Yhwach hummed while simultaneously glaring at me.

There was only one subject that can draw Yhwach's attention. The Soul King, his father. It was also the biggest trigger he has, so mentioning him could have ended up making things worse.

"What do I gain from such a deal?" Yhwach asked and the other Quincy looked surprised, probably because they didn't believe he'd consider it.

I was surprised too, but also confused. "Uhm... You get freed?"

"My freedom happens whether you wish to make this deal or wish to beg for a quick death. What do I gain from giving you time?" Yhwach asked again.

Damn, he obviously thought this through more than I did. Come on, think, Thompson! Think! I have to think of something to offer him.

"I'll... tell you everything I know about how to achieve your goal here, too. How to return to your original world, and how to achieve it there, too. Stuff that even your Almighty can't see," I offered, hoping he would accept the information.

I don't really know if that'll be enough to interest him. I just hope saying the truth would be enough for him, cause I know lying just ain't gonna work.

I don't even think his goal is that hard in Fairy Tail. I'm pretty sure all he has to do is just kill Ank-... Whatever his name is. That God of life and death that cursed Zeref with the weird name.

I don't really doubt that Yhwach can do that.

"Hmm," Yhwach hummed in thought. Staring at me for what felt like hours, but I knew it was just a few minutes at most. "Very well," before I actually had enough time ti comprehend he actually agreed, he added. "However, you are to swear loyalty to me as any other Quincy. I will not stand for any disrespect or incompetence, and I will punish you as such if any happen."

I thought about what he said and... Honestly? I can live with this. This is the best I'll get from this situation. I don't really mind that it basically means I'm his bitch.

I'm doing this to stay alive. Anyone who does otherwise in my situation is just plain stupid, frankly.

"I accept," I nodded, but that seem to make him glare, which confused me- Oh, right. "I accept, your majesty?" I tried again.

This time, his glare returned to his neutral frown, which I really found familiar for some reason.

"Alright, let's... do this," I said taking a step to Yhwach and a screen popped up.

Give Yhwach a full state of existence?

Yes.

No.

Staring at the screen for a second, I raised my hand and was just about to press 'yes' when I stopped and thought deeply about what I was doing.

If I do this, I'll be unleashing a being that, frankly, nothing in this world can even dream of matching. It doesn't matter if they're some cursed ancient wizard or genocidal dragon slayer, and that being wasn't exactly friendly or had good plans for the future.

But... The alternative is that I die.

I'm not a Saint. I'm not gonna give up my life for an entire world of strangers. I don't even plan to make some big changes to the plot to make lives better.

I'm just doing this to live.

With that, I pushed the 'yes'... and the change was instantaneous.

I had wondered why the Quincy I summoned seemed to not notice Yhwach at the start. Now I know why, because his mere presence was impossible to miss.

The air immediately became heavy to the point where I actually had to force my lungs to keep breathing. I knew for a fact what I was feeling wasn't his Spiritual Pressure. He was definitely on a level where I'm too weak to sense his power.

What I was feeling was just his mere presence.

Yhwach himself seemed to take a deep breath and look at his hand. He raised it and clinched it a couple of times while pointing it at the sun.

Slowly, he turned his gaze at me and I completely froze. I swear I could almost feel a heart attack coming as I waited for him to make a move. I didn't really have high hopes he'd keep his word.

"You think little on how much I value my own word," Yhwach stated.

"... I'm not gonna pretend to be surprised, your majesty," I stated. My thoughts were probably written all over my face.

"Can you see us, your majesty," Jugram asked, but Yhwach didn't react to him.

"I think only I can see you when you're in this state," I said, looking at Jugram.

"As soon as I was released, I could no longer see or hear the others. I assume Jugram asked for my state," Yhwach stated more than asked. It really showed how deeply he knew Jugram to accurately guess his question.

"I'll release you if you agree to help me with the whole guild thing," I said looking at the Quincy.

"Do it," Yhwach ordered though I didn't know if he was talking to me or them. "His effort, while futile, shall serve us purpose to build a base here."

"Yes, your majesty," Jugram, Gérard, and Askin all agreed immediately.

"To hell with that!" Bazz B and Liltotto, however, seemed less enthusiastic. "Why the Heck should I bother helping you!?" The former asked, glaring at both me and Yhwach.

"Look, man, do you really have better options?" I asked, getting fed up. "This is your best chance to have a fresh start. Why don't you take it?"

"A fresh start with him?!" Bazz B pointed an accusing finger at Yhwach, who couldn't see him. "Fat chance!"

"Well, the alternative is that you stay like this and anger a being that is even stronger than him," I retorted, motioning to his entire body. "Really, what other options do you have!?"

"You-"

"Bazz B, can we talk for a moment," Liltotto cut in into our talk. "Alone," she added while glaring at everyone else.

"Why?" Bazz B asked.

"You got something better to do than actually discuss our options?" Liltotto returned with her own question.

Bazz B clicked his tongue. Sparing one last glare at me and Yhwach, he followed Liltotto as she walked away to get some privacy. Honestly, I hope she can talk some sense into him. She's one of the more level headed Quincy if I remember correctly.

With that out of the way, I turned back to Yhwach. "Alright... Let's do this."

Time to become a Quincy, I guess... Honestly? I was kind of worried that a cold-blooded, name/concept erasing Monk would show up when I released Yhwach.

Now that I think about it, I should probably avoid saying his name. I like having a voice, thank you very much. Plus, and this is probably my paranoia talking, but I'm REALLY worried the Monk would show up if I say his name.

"That is a valid concern," Yhwach stated.

... The fact Yhwach acknowledged the Monk showing up as an actual possibility is scarier than the thought itself.
