The Quartermaine Mansion
Tracy was making her way through the hall when she came upon Yuri carrying boxes into Monica's room.
"What's going on here?" Tracy demanded to know, peering in the room and seeing several boxes sitting around the sitting area.
"If you must know Tracy," Monica said, "I'm getting Charles's things out of storage for him to go through. He's coming over to decide what he wants to keep or get rid of."
"And then his things are going where exactly," Tracy asked or do you plan…"
"Here," Monica replied in the midst of Tracy's sentence."
"on Charles taking his stuff out just to have to move it back…" Tracy continued, "What a minute…you said his things are staying here. So does that mean you might actually be taking my advice."
"Yes, Tracy, Charles is moving back in," Monica said, "He'll be moving in the weekend the Haunted Star Casino opens."
"And you were going to tell me this when?" Tracy asked.
"I'm telling you now, Tracy," Monica said, "And I'm allowing Kellie to work with Yuri on reviewing our security. So don't interfere."
"I wouldn't dream of it," Tracy smirked, turning and leaving, "I suppose those hooligans of Kellie's will be spending even more time here now that three of their grandparents adopted or otherwise live here. If so…."
"Oh can it, Tracy," Monica said, "You enjoy every moment of those hooligans are you call them and the other children running around the property."
Monica then proceeded to shut the door in Tracy's face.
Kellie's Self-Defense Studio
Kellie was doing some paperwork in her office when Charles walked in.
"I got your message about a possible case," Charles said, "I figured I'd stop by and discuss it in person. I actually had something I wanted to talk to you about anyway."
"What is it?" Kellie asked.
"We can discuss the case you wanted to first," Charles said, "Get it out of the way."
"Have you been able to get your law license reinstated," Kellie asked.
"Diane says it's happening," Charles said, "We're just waiting on the official paperwork."
"Okay," Kellie said, "I have a client that needs legal representation. It's a custody issue with her abusive ex-husband's much much wealthier family. He's in Pentonville after she testified against him. His parents want custody and cut off funds. His accounts were tied up in the family trust."
"I could do that," Charles said, "Do you regularly have clients that need legal representation that might not be able to afford it?"
"Sometimes," Kellie said, "I don't know how much you plan on practicing law at this point in your life, but if you're interested, I could refer some of those cases to you."
"I'm planning on taking cases as I can or want to," Charles said, "I think I would like to be semi-retired at this point. Monica and I would like to travel some. But I would be more than interested to take some pro bono cases and help some of your clients."
"Good," Kellie said, "Let me know when the paperwork comes through and I'll coordinate the first meeting with the client. Now what did you want to talk about?"
"My future living arrangements," Charles said, "I'm moving back in with Monica. We had a talk and admitted it's what we both want."
"I'm happy for both of you," Kellie said.
"Thank you," Charles said, "Monica has also said you are welcome to contact Yuri about security."
"I'll get to work on that," Kellie said, "Do you have a move in date set or are you and Monica still figuring that out?"
"Same weekend your casino opens," Charles said, "Monica and I figured the grand opening would be good celebration."
"I'll make sure it is," Kellie said.
"You don't have to do that," Charles said
"You know I'm going to arrange at least a bottle of champagne anyway," Kellie said, "Although, I should warn you Sonny will likely be there."
"I figured that would likely be the case," Charles said, "I'll be civil, but I'll probably try to stay on the opposite side of the room from him."
"I couldn't not invite him.
"I couldn't not invite wants him there," Kellie said, "I only plan on putting in a brief appearance."
"Long enough to make the rounds," Charles said.
"And hopefully disappear before Sonny shows up," Kellie said, "Kristina and Lulu are more than capable of overseeing the grand opening. I'm more of a silent partner as it is. And only until Kristina can buy my portion half out."
"You should still give yourself some credit," Charles said, "And have some fun while you're at it."
"Sneaking out without Lulu or Sam or Sage figuring it out will be the fun part," Kellie said.
