Chapter 23: Axel Never Watched Star Wars
The first thing Percy heard as he came to was Jett's voice, and he wished almost as soon as he did that he could drift off back to the land of unconsciousness. But whatever drugs the food had been laced with had run its course through his system, and as he peeled his eyes open he was forced to adjust to dark surroundings whose only light appeared to emanate from a single candle in the middle of the room.
"-my quest, you had no right to intervene. It's a violation of camp rules!" Jett growled.
"Well I don't go to camp," Thalia's voice fired back, "Besides, it looks like the quest is going really well for you right now."
"A minor inconvenience," Jett hissed, "And one we are currently strategizing a way to deal with."
Percy groaned and forced himself out of the fetal position, using a wall behind him as support as he dragged himself up. He had been so careless yet again, but at least he hadn't been the only one. Even Rich had looked surprised that it had been a trap, and regardless of how short a time they had known each other, Percy trusted that it wasn't an act.
His eyes had finally adjusted to the minimal light and he took in his new surroundings. It was a small room with a high ceiling, and in the centre a candle floated, its flickering flame providing the only source of light. To his right Scarlett was curled up in a ball, apparently still knocked out from the effect of the drugs, while in front of him, Thalia and Jett stood nose to nose glaring daggers at one another. Axel sat in the far corners, appearing to be asleep while Alice sat by the candle, playing with the flame. It was then the smell hit him, a scent so foul that for a moment Percy had flashbacks to Smelly Gabe's poker parties. It didn't appear to be emanating from any particular place, but instead was all around them, and when Percy began to move he realised why. The floor was made up of trash bags, and the six demigods were atop a sea of garbage.
Percy coughed at the odour and instantly made the switch to breathing through his mouth. Annabeth had used to make jokes that he was a 'mouth-breather' but he had never really understood the joke.
"You broke into their home and made them an enemy! What were you thinking?"
"I am the son of Zeus, I do not need to ask permission to exact my will!"
"You are so delusional it's crazy."
"I'm not the one scared of heights, sis. How could you ever hope to understand the weight of my destiny if you're too scared to even explore your own power?"
Thalia went silent, and it was clear Jett had hit a sore point. With Thalia's lack of a response, Jett kept pushing.
"Besides, who are you to tell me where I made mistakes when you're standing right next to me in this shithole? Looks like your plan went off without a hitch as well. To think you have the nerve to stand here-"
"Jett!" Percy warned, "One more word out of you, and the worst-smelling thing in here is going to be your decaying corpse."
"Are you threatening me?" Jett growled.
"No," Percy yawned, "I'm making you a promise. Now shut up, and consider it mercy."
Jett looked like he was about to retort but Alice stood and lay a hand on his shoulder. He shut his mouth but shrugged off Alice's hand and stormed over to the corner where Axel was sleeping.
Alice turned back to Percy and shot him a warm smile, "Hey superhero!"
"Hi Alice, how are you?"
Alice's grin widened, "OMG, I'm so good thanks for asking. So cool that you care about me to ask. It's been so boring the past few hours."
"You've been in here the whole time?" Thalia asked.
"Well after we broke in this monkey started attacking us so Jett hit the monkey with a lightning bolt and then a crocodile started attacking us and then some old guy came and-"
"Did the old guy have long grey hair and sunglasses?" Percy asked.
Alice cocked her head to the side and frowned, deep in thought for a moment, "Umm, yes. Got hella hippie vibes from him no cap."
"He was wearing a hat?" Percy frowned.
Now it was Alice's turn to frown, "What?"
"You said no cap, did he have a hat on when you guys ran into him?"
Alice giggled, "No silly, no cap means like 'for real' or like I'm not lying y'know. OMG, it's because you were in the ice for so long that you don't know modern slang. That's so funny, I'll have to catch you up on it sometime."
Talking to Alice felt somewhat similar to slamming his head repeatedly against a wall but he managed a smile, "Yeah, once all of this is over you'll have to give me a crash course."
Alice did her best not to fangirl by taking deep breaths but it was clear she was ecstatic about the idea as she was literally bouncing on her feet, "Oh fo sho fo sho. Speaking of which…any ideas on how to get out?"
"Alice!" Jett yelled.
Alice groaned, "What? It's not like you have a plan babe. They help us get out of here and you can still complete the quest and get all of the accolades. It's a win-win."
"Needing their help to complete this quest is tantamount to failure. I don't need some washed-up has-beens taking all the glory from my quest."
Percy raised an eyebrow, "Kinda rude to Scarlett. She's still a rookie, only Thalia and I are has-beens."
Thalia punched him in the shoulder, "Speak for yourself loser, I'm at the peak of human physical condition."
"No, you're in the peak physical condition of a 15-year-old girl," Percy shot back, "There's a difference."
"I hate you."
"Anyway," Percy continued, turning back to Alice, "What have you guys tried so far?"
"Well the walls are coated in something that nullifies all magic, so none of my powers work in here, the walls are solid steel and concrete and the only exit is about 50 feet above us. Oh, and it can only be opened from the outside."
"We're fucked," Thalia sighed.
Percy was struggling not to agree with her. The Egyptians were clearly no slouches, and if they viewed them as enemy combatants and were trying to keep them imprisoned, then there wasn't going to be an easy way out. Still…Percy had one other thing weighing on his mind.
"I'm gonna need you guys to all move to one side," he told them, fishing Riptide out of his pocket and uncapping the tip. As the bronze blade sprang to its full length the light of the candle flickered off of it, casting shadows up and down the walls.
"You gonna try and cut through concrete?" Jett snarked, as he was joined by Alice and Thalia, who had picked up Scarlett and moved her away from Percy.
"No," Percy laughed, "I'm gonna try and cut myself actually."
"Woah," Thalia exclaimed, "I know it looks bad but jeez Percy that's a little extreme."
"Let him cook," Alice told her, and for once Percy was grateful for Alice's input.
He gripped Riptide in his left hand and extended his right, curling it into a fist. The succubi had been able to bypass his ice defence, and he had wondered why ever since. He had thought it was a permanent addition, like the blessing of Achilles, but maybe he was wrong. He lowered the point of Riptide to his forearms and pulled the blade down gently. The blade ran down the length of his arm, but no red line sprouted from the point of the blade. It appeared he was still immune to physical attacks, so maybe the succubi hadn't been lying when she said they had used magic to bypass his defences.
"Alice," he called out, turning back to look at the daughter of Hecate, "I need you to come and help me."
She needed no more encouragement than that and pranced over to where he was standing, "What's up?"
"Do you know how to coat objects with magic?"
"Duh, it's like enchanting 101."
"I need you to enchant a weapon, and then I need you to try and cut me with it. Can you do that even with the walls nullifying your magic?"
"A small enchantment wouldn't take a lot of power, so for sure. But you want me to attack you?" she asked incredulously.
"Not hard," he cautioned, "Just enough to see if it goes through my skin."
"That's what she said," Thalia coughed in the corner, and Percy felt his cheeks warm.
"For sure," Alice responded, "Do you want me to use Riptide?"
"Uhh sure," he said, offering the handle of the blade to her.
"Oh," she exclaimed, frowning at the sword, "Never mind."
"What's wrong?"
"It's already enchanted, rule 1 of enchanting 101 is not to enchant an already enchanted weapon."
"Why not?" Thalia asked, seeming to be genuinely curious.
"It removes the initial enchantment and replaces it with the new one. It's good if the original enchantment is more of a curse or not that strong, but if it's a good enchantment I wouldn't recommend getting rid of it. Especially since my enchanting skills aren't that good,"
"Yeah and we learnt that the hard way didn't we," Jett muttered.
"I said I was sorry, I didn't know it was going to remove your dad's enchantment okay." Alice fired back.
Percy and Thalia shared a glance. It seemed there was most definitely trouble in paradise.
"If Riptide is enchanted it should cut through my skin…" Percy mused, scanning his trusty blade with a frown.
Alice turned back to him, looking down at Riptide, "Is this the same sword that Chiron gave you way back when you had to rescue the master bolt?"
Percy was about to ask how she knew that before remembering that his mum had made his life into a bestselling series, "Yeah, went into the ice with me and everything."
"Inanimate objects are typically just that, inanimate objects, but magic is alive, and when magic merges with inanimate objects a slice of sentience seeps in. Riptide probably doesn't want to cut you because you're its owner, and you have been for so long."
Percy looked down at his sword in a new light. He remembered meeting Magnus' talking sword, and had said at the time how cool it would be if Riptide could talk. Well maybe it couldn't talk, but their bond was real, and Percy couldn't help but get a little sentimental at the thought that through everything, Riptide had been so trustworthy a companion that now, after all these years, it wouldn't hurt him. "Well that scuppers my plan a little," he laughed.
"How about you use this instead?" Thalia said, stepping forward and offering one of her small hunting daggers to Alice.
Alice's eyes lit up, "OMG this is so cool. I didn't know Hunters of Artemis used celestial bronze, I thought you were all silver girlies."
Thalia shrugged, "Got to have a few different options to keep our opponents on their toes."
Alice sighed, "The Hunters seem so cool. Just a bunch of badass girlies going around killing monsters."
"I have no regrets," Thalia replied with a smile, "I found my family there."
"Ehhem," Percy coughed, shooting a frown his cousin's way.
Thalia's smile spread into a grin, "Perhaps I phrased it wrong. I found my home in the Hunt. Not all of my family are hunters."
"So true bestie," Scarlett groaned, announcing her arrival from the realm of Morpheus, "Where in my dad's name are we?"
"Egyptian trash heap, now shush. We're about to watch Alice stab Percy." Thalia chided.
"Oh sweet," she exclaimed, turning her attention to where Percy and Alice were standing.
Percy crossed his arms, "You aren't worried about me?"
"Lowkey, you could do with a good stabbing," Scarlett grinned.
Thalia snickered, "So true bestie."
Percy sighed, "Glad my quest mates have got my back,"
"Oh you'll be fine ya big wimp," Scarlett said dismissively, smiling when Percy began pouting.
Alice took the blade from Thalia and sat down next to the candle, using the light to guide her actions. The daughter of Hecate began the enchantment ritual, her voice a soft and melodic whisper that danced on the edges of the candlelit shadows. Her words, a mix of ancient incantations and secret runes, weighed heavily in the air. As she chanted, her fingers delicately traced patterns in the air, leaving trails of mystical energy behind. The celestial bronze knife began to resonate with the magical currents, faint gleams of celestial light dancing along its edges. As the enchantment reached its crescendo, the celestial bronze knife emitted a soft hum, almost as though it was buzzing.
Alice opened her eyes, a triumphant gleam reflecting in them, "Job done."
Percy frowned at the dagger. It didn't look any different than it had before, but then again Riptide didn't look like it would magically reappear in his pocket, but it always did. "What was the enchantment?"
"I made it magically magnetic," Alice exclaimed, holding it up victoriously.
"So cool," Jett muttered, not even trying to hide the disappointment in his voice.
"Boo," Thalia jeered, "Make it so it explodes on impact."
Alice's face fell and she stared at her feet embarrassed, "I don't know how to do that. I'm sorry."
Percy stepped forward and grabbed her by the shoulder, "No, don't be. This is perfect. It just had to be a little enchantment."
Alice glanced up, her face unsure as she scanned Percy's face for any falsehoods or signs of pity. When she found none, her face brightened. "Thank you," she whispered.
"Now," Percy told her, exposing his inner forearm to her, "Be gentle!"
"That's what she said," Scarlett snickered, and Percy caught Jett giving her a dirty look. Jett was insecure about Percy to begin with, and so the last thing he needed was for him to think that Percy was trying to steal his girl as well.
Alice held the knife steady, grabbing Percy's wrist as she did so. "Sorry in advance," she warned and then dragged the tip of the blade down the length of his forearm. An acute, searing pain shot up his arm, and Percy watched with keen eyes in the candlelight as a line of red emerged from the point of contact. His hand shot out and he grabbed Alice's wrist.
"That's enough," he breathed.
Jett snorted, "Little cut got you acting up? Guess you are human after all."
Percy was surprised that he didn't feel the urge to punch him. He thought back to what Olive had said before they had left camp, about how despite being the strongest demigod he wasn't the leader of camp. The more time he spent in Jett's company the less he hated him and the more he just pitied him. He knew what it was like to feel the burden of impossible expectations, being at the centre of two potentially world-ending prophecies will do that to you. Matching egos wasn't going to do anything other than continue to push him to be a rival. If he wanted to make Jett an ally he was going to have to find a new way to approach the son of Zeus. But that was a problem for after they got out of this shithole.
He looked back at his arm, watching the streaks of red liquid run off his forearm and drip onto the trashbags below. He looked around sheepishly at the ensemble.
"Oh for Zeus' sake," Axel sighed, marching over and pulling something out of his back pocket. He grabbed Percy's free hand and put a small cube in his hand that seemed to resemble a rice krispies treat.
"How did you not have a plan for this? How did you not come prepared with ambrosia and nectar?" he asked incredulously.
"I usually rely on my questmates for that," Percy laughed, turning to Scarlett and Thalia who were both facepalming, "But thank you," he continued, turning back to Axel, "I appreciate it."
"Until we get out of here we're all on the same side. We're not friends but we are family," he replied, stepping back to stand shoulder-to-shoulder with Jett.
Percy meanwhile bit into the small cube and felt the familiar sensation of warm chocolate chip cookies enveloped him. He watched as his skin seemed to knit itself back together, rapidly reacting to him ingesting the food of the gods.
"Okay, so now we know I'm invulnerable to regular weapons and Riptide….just gotta worry about the magic weapons."
"Good thing we're trying to go to Egypt, one of the most magic filled regions on Earth." Thalia noted
"Well the quest would just be boring if I couldn't get stabbed"
"At least you acknowledge how much we all enjoy you getting stabbed."
"I'm a man of the people."
"Okay, calm down Lenin."
The cousins' banter was interrupted by a loud creaking sound emanating from above them. They glanced up to see a small hole of light appear with distant faces looking down at them. A shiver ran down Percy's spine as he remembered being trapped under the control of the succubi. There were a lot of similarities, except this time he wasn't alone.
"On guard," he told the rest of the demigods, swinging Riptide experimentally. He was ready for a fight.
It appeared that the faces above them were in no mood for a fight though. One of them yelled something in a language Percy didn't understand and suddenly he was weightless, crashing into one of the walls. He fought to step forward but it felt like he was being held against the wall by an invisible hand. He looked around to see that the other demigods were in the same situation. He tried calling out to them, but whatever force was keeping him against the wall also kept his mouth from moving.
The two faces that had been watching them from the hole now began to descend, seemingly levitating in the air. The first face was one that Percy recognised. His eyes hidden behind sunglasses, Elijah shot Percy a distasteful look before turning back to his companion, clearly in the midst of conversation.
"-held the girl for a few hours before three more decided to join. I know we have agreed on the witch, but if there are any others that take your fancy feel free. We were just going to dispose of them anyway."
His companion was a large man with a fairly round figure and who was completely bald. In place of hair a series of elaborate tattoos covered his scalp and Percy couldn't shake the feeling that he recognised them from somewhere. When he spoke, his accent sounded like a stereotypical Russian one, to the point that Percy wondered if he was faking it.
"Ve have no use for them. Ze girl is ze priority."
"I think you'll be surprised," Elijah urged, "I understand you are not the biggest fan of Lord Zeus?"
"Zat is one vay to put it."
"We have two of his children here. Would make for some useful blackmail."
"Blackmail only vorks against parents when zey care about their children. Lord Zeus does not fit zat category."
"Have it your way. I just felt that for all you are doing for us, the witch seems so cheap a price to pay."
"You have no idea ze value she has to us. But I vill look at the rest of your merchandise."
They finally reached the bottom and they stepped first towards Alice. "She's in good condition. No harm has befallen her."
"So you are ze greatest vitch of our generation? I expected more," the Russia mused, gazing down at the daughter of Hecate whose eyes gleamed with anger.
"All that power…dampened by youth. She might have actually been a problem in ten years time."
"Zat is why ze time is now. Ze situation is simply too perfect not to take advantage of. Now show me ze others, I do not vish to take too long before moving ze girl."
"Certainly," Elijah obliged, waving his hand towards Axel, "Here we have a son of Hebe and legacy of Ares. He would make quite the formidable soldier."
"Ve have better soldiers. Zhy vould I buy a boy for a man's job."
Now Axel's face mirrored Alices', eyes gleaming with anger and his face twisted into a snarl.
"Of course, your soldiers are renowned. How about a son of Zeus instead?" Elijah continued, gesturing towards Jett, who seemed bored.
The Russian stepped towards the blonde haired demigod, leering over him and studying him. "I vould be foolish to ignore the opportunity to strike a blow against Lord Zeus. I vill take him."
"Fabulous," Elijah clapped his hands excitedly, "And now for our new additions. Firstly, since you seem so keen on the children of Zeus, how about the Lieutenant of Artemis?"
The Russian whirled around from Jett, his eyes narrowing on Thalia. "Are you certain that that is Thalia Grace?"
"Oh quite certain."
The Russians face broke into a smile, "Ve have lost good men and vomen to the Hunters of Artemis. Ve vill take great pleasure in breaking this one."
As hard as Thalia tried to hide it, Percy knew her well enough to notice a glint of fear in her eyes as the Russian licked his lips looking down at her.
"Here we have a daughter of Hades. Still young, but we sense the presence of something not quite Greek."
"Elaborate."
"We think we sense something of the Christian pantheon in her."
The Russian spat on the floor, "Some gods are better left alone. I see no reason to make an enemy of zat one."
"Your call," Elijah said, before turning to Percy, "And last but not least…Percy Jackson, son of Poseidon."
The Russian took a step back, almost in fear, "Do you mean ZE Percy Jackson?"
"Hero of Olympus…and your slave if you so wish."
"Are you fucking crazy?" the Russian yelled, turning on Elijah, his face red with anger. "Zat is Percy fucking Jackson, and you're keeping him caged like an animal. He vill be the death of us all."
"He is powerless in my realm."
"Ja, right now. And I don't vant to be around when ze status quo changes. I vill take ze vitch and ze children of Zeus and zen you need to make killing Percy Jackson the top of your to-do list."
Elijah seemed a little offended by the Russians dismissal of his power, and Percy couldn't keep the smirk off his face as he and Elijah's eyes met. "Of course, let us get you and your merchandise out of here so we can commence with his execution."
The Russian nodded in agreement and seemed more relieved the higher he and Ellijah rose. With a wave of his hand Thalia, Jett, and Alice began to rise after them. When the last one exited the light was sealed shut and the creaking signified that they were locked inside once more. At the same time the invisible hand that was holding them against the wall dissipated, and the three remaining demigods fell to their knees.
"Who in the Hades was that?" Axel asked, stretching out his limbs.
"Your guess is as good as mine," Percy muttered, "But his tattoos…I recognised them from somewhere."
"Well you better think fast, because apparently your execution is starting up soon."
"Our execution," Scarlett corrected.
Axel frowned at her, "What do you mean by that?"
"The walls," she said, surprisingly calm, "They're closing in."
Percy and Axel spun around the face the walls, and true to Scarletts word they were beginning to close. "Ah shit," Percy muttered, "This is just like in Star Wars,"
"I don't remember this scene in Star Wars," Axel growled, throwing all his weight against the wall, trying to slow it down.
"You don't remember the scene in A New Hope?" Percy asked, throwing his weight against the wall on the opposite side, but it was clear it was doing little to stop it.
"A New Hope definitely didn't include a trash compactor scene!"
"Are you on drugs?" Percy questioned incredulously, "They all get stuck in the trash compactor and there's some kind of monster thing in it."
"Are you talking about the originals or like the original originals?"
"What does that even mean?"
"They remade the original trilogy like ten years ago, there was no trash compactor in those movies."
Percy punched the wall in frustration, "Gods damn in Disney, stop ruining my childhood. Axel when we get out of here we're watching the original trilogy."
"But weren't they made in like the 1900's?"
"Bitch I was made in the 1900's!"
"Guys, do we want to try something other than pushing against the wall uselessly?" Scarlett asked, looking back and forth between them.
The room had now collapsed to about half the size and was showing no signs of slowing down. Percy pushed off from the wall and readied his stance, drawing his arm back and punching the wall with as much force as he could muster. The concrete smashed and cracked under the force of his fist but did nothing more. A quick glance down at his fist showed bloody knuckles, and Percy was reminded that the walls were magic.
For a moment he stood there, contemplating whether or not this was the moment designated for his death, crushed in a garbage disposal. Pretty iconic, but not quite the death he was hoping for. Then a glint in the corner of his eye caught his attention. The Hunter knife that Alice had enchanted was pressed against the concrete wall, which would have been fine other than the fact it was almost two feet off the ground.
"Magically magnetic…" Percy whispered under his breath.
"What?" Scarlett asked.
"I've got a plan. Axel, get on top of me."
Axel held up his arms disarmingly, "Woah bro, I don't really swing that way. I appreciate that that's how you wanna go out but personally-"
"No meathead, grab onto my back. Scarlett, grab onto his back."
Scarlett saluted, "Yessir"
Percy knelt, giving Axel the chance to jump on his back, and then Scarlett followed suit. Carrying their combined weight would have been difficult for the average person, especially considering how muscular Axel was, but the ice had increased his strength by a degree that he still hadn't fully explored. He stood up with ease, their combined weight equalling little more than a backpack for him.
"Hold on tight," He warned them, grabbing the hilt of the blade and pulling it as hard as he could. After a brief bit of resistance it disconnected from the wall with a zap. "Thanks Alice," he muttered under his breath, and with that he launched himself upwards, flying towards one of the walls. Using the knife's magnetism as the equivalent to an ice pick he locked onto one side of the wall, about 10 feet up. 10 feet down, forty to go.
Now he was stuck though, if he pulled the knife off the wall to try and get higher they would fall, and as strong as he was he didn't think he could jump 50 feet, especially not with them on his shoulders.
"I got it," Scarlett yelled from behind him, and suddenly he felt something solid beneath his feet. A small platform of shadows had formed underneath him, giving him the opportunity to rip the knife off the wall and jump again, clearing another ten feet.
"You guys are cracked," Axel muttered under his breath.
"Just Big Three things," Scarlett giggled.
"Yeah no kidding, you guys are built different."
Ten more feet, then another ten. By this time though the walls were barely wide enough for Percy to work and he wasn't going to be able to punch open the lock with them on his back. "Guys," he yelled, "I need you to trust me and let go."
"You're Percy Jackson," Axel said, "Just do what you gotta do." And with that he let his arms slip and began to fall down towards the trash with Scarlett.
As soon as the weight fell off of his shoulders Percy let out a scream and launched himself towards the lock sealing the hole. It wasn't concrete like the rest of the trash compactor, instead it was made of some other metal, but Percy didn't care, and instead swung with all the force he could muster. There was a split second of resistance before the top of the lock gave way and the seal was blown off its hinges.
Before he could even give himself a moment to marvel in his strength he flipped over and kicked off the ceiling of the compactor as hard as he could, mirroring all the hours he had spent swimming competitively during high school and college. He shot back down towards the trash, just barely avoiding Axel and Scarlett as they continued their descent towards the bottom. Then, as he had done thousands of times before, he twisted his body and kicked off the floor, with the kind of style and figure that one could only gain from hours of practice. He pushed off from the floor as hard as he could flew upwards, the walls now beginning to brush against his shoulders. The force of the jump propelled him into Axel and Scarlett and sent them all shooting up and out of the hole.
There was a brief moment of weightlessness, as the force of the jump petered out, and then Percy was able to see that they were heading straight for a glass window with the skyline of Brooklyn laid out before them. He let out a scream that wasn't as manly as he would have hoped for in the situation. The three of them shattered the window and began to descend rapidly. Percy glanced down in time to see they were heading for a pool, and sent out a quick prayer to his father for the safety of Axel and Scarlett, wondering if his Greek prayer would even work while surrounded by the Egyptian pantheon.
They hit the pool with force, sending up an explosion of pool water. Almost as soon as they hit the water Percy let out a breath of relief. He had sported a fear of drowning for a while, but the feeling of the walls closing in on him was now definitely up there in terms of the worst ways to die. Percy took a moment to relax in the pool, feeling his strength come surging back to him. That had been close, a little too close, and he had to get Thalia and Alice back. And Jett too, he supposed. Sounds of struggle above broke his moment of peace though, and he swam up to the surface.
As soon as his head broke the surface of the water he was met by the screams of Axel and Scarlett as they desperately tried to swim towards the edge of the pool. Percy frowned before he heard an unfamiliar growling behind him. Spinning around he was suddenly face-to-face with two enormous crocodile.
He was about to scream alongside the rest of the gang before something stopped him. He recognised the eyes of one of the crocodiles. He had fought against it many years prior, alongside a young Carter Kane.
"Petsuchos?"
"Percy?"
Author's Note: I may be a big stinky liar, but unfortunately in the hierarchy of my life I put finals ahead of writing, so that is why this is such a delayed chapter. That being said, winter break is now in full swing so expect more chapters from me in the coming weeks. Also, figured I would post this on the eve of the premiere of the new Percy Jackson series. Are you guys excited about it too? How good do you think it'll be?
As always, reviews are welcomed and encouraged. Also a big motivator for me when I see you guys are engaged and care about the story. So until next time!
