Sorry for my bad English.

So, RWBY Chibi is back make a while now but is now a comedic segment for another show exclusive to Rooster Teeth.

I feel, like the original show, they are trying to force their audience in watching their shows by putting on their site only and now, they put RWBY Chibi inside another show.

I'm will not watch their new show just because they decide to put RWBY Chibi like a sketch on it. I already watched the original show with four Ads, each one with four Ads with 15 seconds, one after another, and this is my limit.

I may continue with my version but it will not have the new episodes with OCs like I usually do so I. Or perhaps I will just use the episodes which still are in Youtube. Whatever I feel like.

Please, correct me if I am mistaken about this.

Jaune knew that forging his transcription was wrong, but what the universe is doing to punish him is downright ridiculous.

A Lycanthrope, the mysterious grimm Professor Port once fought only once in his life suddenly appeared in front of the duo, clearly wanting blood.

While they called for their weapons, they still preferred to use their favorite strategy.

-AAAAAHHHH! -Scream while running for their lives, the Lycanthrope running right after while roaring.

-Why me?! -Jaune asked. -Dear Lord, why me?!

-Hello-ow! I'm here too! -Ryan complained.

-And why aren't you doing something?!

-Why aren't YOU doing something?!

-I'm not the one holding the title of number one among us!

-Number one in what?! Screaming?! Because you are pretty good in this too!

-You know what I mean, Forest!

-I have no idea, Arc!

-Why did you call me by my surname?!

-Why did you?!

-Why did you not told me you are the number one in Vacuo?!

-Who told you that?!

-Fée did!

-And you believed in her?!

-You are not denying it!

-That's right! I'm not!

The bickering was interrupted by a tree trunk coming from above and crashing right in front of them. They both jump the trunk but something just came flying from behind and hit Jaune on the back, making the blonde fall face first. Ryan turns back to his partner but focused on the wolfman running at high speed.

The gunslinger kicked the tree trunk against the wolf, only for the Lycanthrope to snap it in two with a bite of his jaw. Jaune also saw the bite breaking the trunk in two, making his eyes widen in fear.

-If he caught us between his teeth, we are in trouble! -The blonde while getting on his feet.

-It seems we are already in trouble. -Ryan said next while pulling his silver revolver.

He remembered about his long-range option and pulled the trigger of his revolver while aiming against the monster. He did not know if was by instinct or if the wolf knew what a revolver was, but still surprised Ryan seeing the Lycanthrope dodging the shots.

To left and right it moved, moving like a focused wild animal while getting closer to the duo. Jaune felt like the unluckiest lad in the world when the wolf decides to go after him first.

Once close to Jaune, the Lycanthrope jumps and aims both his legs against the knight. Remembering his training, the knight puts his shield to cover his upper body, blocking the monster's attack. However, he was surprised when the claws on its feet tightened and pushed the shield down, making Jaune bow his body as his shield was shoved on the ground.

He then felt a sharp pain on his shoulder, the beast had brought his jaw down and took a bite on his shoulder. Thanks to his aura, no blood was spilled, but Jaune was once again surprised by the Lycanthrope pulling his body with its mouth and throwing him away.

A second after he was thrown, he felt something on his back, and he was sure that was not the ground since he also felt a pair of hands hold his shoulders, wincing when feeling five fingers hold where the Lycanthrope bite him.

Ryan jumps after his partner after Jaune was thrown, taking a hold of him in midair, and was able to make them both land on the ground. The Lycanthrope did not lose a second and charged again against the duo. With his arms below Jaune's armpits, Ryan shot again against the coming foe, only for the monster to move to left and right, dodging the shots.

Soon, it was right in front of the duo, claws ready to strike.

-Jaune!

-What?!

-Shield!

Remembering about his defense option, Jaune pulled his shield and opened it to block the strike, nearly a second late. The force of the strike pulled the shield away, allowing the wolf monster to attack with his other claw, but Ryan blocked the attack, with his feet. The gunslinger pulled the trigger of his revolver again, aiming to the head of the beast. The monster dodges the shot pulling its head back, and Jaune swung his sword against his enemy, aiming at his neck.

Except that the wolf brought his jaw ahead, grabbing the blade with his fangs. The pressure did not break the sword but was enough for the Lycanthrope to pull Jaune away from his partner, sending Jaune high in the air, with a high pitch scream, and moved its head back to Ryan, the jaw ready to take a bite.

With his high pitch scream, Ryan bent his body back, avoiding the bite. Ryan was forced to retreat as the Lycanthrope keep trying to get a bite from the gunslinger, giving bite after bite, Ryan gave a scared yelp each time he dodges the fangs coming.

In a mix of good and bad luck, Ryan tripped and fell back, sending one of his legs, completely by accident, to kick the Lycanthrope's chin.

The beast stumbled back holding its jaw, and Ryan took the chance to go back to his feet and pulled his revolver again, only to be missing from his hand.

He lost his grip on his weapon after he tripped.

-Hehehehe... -Ryan laughs nervously. -So... do you like beefsteaks? -The monster just snarled as he approached. -What about get your fur brushed? Not that I will be the one to do it on someone else, I just asking for curiosity... I feel like this is a one-sided conversation.

That was all he could say before the wolf raised its claw and tried to split him in two. Ryan gave a scream filled with terror and ducked just in time to allow the huge rock behind him to be cut in at least, three parts by the sheer force of the attack from the Lycanthrope, and it not even connected.

Ryan knew at the moment that receives a full-force strike from the wolf would do not good for him and Jaune.

Speaking of which, where the hell is his partner?

He did not need his help.

Sure, the strongest of Vacuo could surpass this enemy on his own. It is not like he needs Jaune's help.

That's why the blonde knight decides to stay out of his partner's way and allow Ryan to finish off the Lycanthrope by himself.

Jaune knew that as his partner, he should give Ryan all his support, but the difference between their skills is like night and day. If he tried to fight alongside him, he would just get in the way.

Ryan did not need his help during the first round of the Challenge, so Jaune was sure that Ryan would not need his help against the Lycanthrope. Leave the fight with his more experienced partner is the best option for now.

Jaune was not fooled by the vision of his partner screaming in fear while dodging the Grimm's attack. He knew, despite Ryan crawling away from the wolfman while the wolfman keeps trying to take a bite of him, that with his semblance and skills, his partner would eventually achieve the victory.

So what if Ryan is screaming 'good boy' while riding the Lycanthrope's back, who was like a dog trying to catch his tail while trying to reach Ryan.

The wolfman could even throw Ryan so hard against the grass like he just did, and bury the upper half of his partner's body on the ground like he just did.

Even with his partner doing like that rabbit from the famous cartoon and running away on the underground while the Lycanthrope punches his trail, Jaune knew that should not help his partner in this battle.

Lycanthrope was able to grab Ryan's leg and pulled him off the underground and like a morning star, the monster spun the gunslinger who was still screaming after being throw against the nearest mountain.

Against the odds, Ryan maneuvered his body midair and was able to land one of his legs against the mountain before the impact and pushed himself against the monster at high speed.

Lycanthrope was not expecting such movement and barely had time to dodge the first kick. First being the keyword, Ryan used his other leg and landed a kick right on the monster's nose, this time sending him flying away.

Like someone who was getting frustrated, the Lycanthrope punched the ground before stood in two legs again.

-I never see this kind of behavior from a grimm. -Ryan commented as he waited for the wolfman to attack.

The Lycanthrope rushed against the gunslinger in high speed, claws ready to slice. It was when Ryan's only visible eye widened in surprise seeing the wolf already moving his claws, unleashing a berserker barrage, cutting even the grass on his feet.

The moment the Lycanthrope was a meter near to him, Ryan jumped to the side, only for the wolfman to follow his lead.

-Shazbot! -Ryan shouts and began to dodge the barrage with the best of his abilities, nearly not being enough to avoid the strikes from both claws, his clothing already ripped from the non-stop attack. If was not for his aura, he would have a lot of cuts dripping some of his blood.

Knowing he could not dodge forever, not with the speed of his opponent, Ryan had to appeal to his semblance. Charging for a moment, he unleashed the electricity of his body, electrifying the wolfman and stopping his barrage for a moment.

With his enemy paralyzed from the shock, Ryan pulled his silver revolver and pointed to the monster's face, only for him to recover and use his jaws to bend the barrel and throwing his head to the side, he also threw the crushed revolver from his jaw.

-Hey, I have only one of those! -Ryan complained.

The Lycanthrope didn't care and aimed to take a bite of Ryan with his jaw. This time Ryan decides to hold the monster's mouth and force him to remain closed. The Lycanthrope attacked with his left claw, and Ryan held him with his right leg, then come the right claw and Ryan hold it with his left leg. Upon close inspection, his sandals were off, and he was holding both the Lycanthrope's arms with the fingers of his feet.

The gunslinger held the monster for a moment before unleashing another chain of electricity, running through the monster's body, affecting also its fur. The monster's scream was being muffed by his forced closed jaw as Ryan keeps sending electricity through his form.

Suddenly, a crimson light came through his fangs, followed by an explosion that sends both the Lycanthrope and Ryan in opposite directions. Ryan landed on one foot while the Lycanthrope landed all fours.

-What the hell was that?! -Ryan asked.

He did not have time to ponder further with the Lycanthrope already upon him with both hands closed and bringing the down against Ryan.

He was able to hold both hands above him, but the monster sure was one of the strongest beings he ever faced, he was even showing signs of effort.

However, his efforts were soon short cut when the monster opened its jaw, a red sphere of energy focusing on the middle.

-Oh craAAAAAAAAAAAAAA... -Ryan barely had time to finish the sentence when the red sphere suddenly shot a crimson beam on his chest, sending him flying away.

-Ryan! -Jaune called for his partner but also calling the Lycanthrope's attention to him.

The wolfman snarled at him, and he was alone, without Ryan to help him.

-What do I do now?

Run was his only option.

If Ryan was having difficulty in facing the Lycanthrope, Jaune knew that he needed to keep his distance until he found a better option.

However, the plan proved to be a failure when the wolfman easily reaches the blonde knight, who did not expect the wolfman to appear in front of him, so he fell on his butt.

Thinking it was time for dinner, the Lycanthrope opened its jaw to finally take a piece of his deserved meal, but Jaune rolled away from the bite and with his sword in his hands, attacked the monster. The blade passed across the fur, but it did not make a single cut, not even the fur was cut.

The wolf snarled, knocked the sword out of Jaune's hand, and with his jaw, grabbed the blonde's ankle and threw him back.

Jaune rolled on the ground and stopped lying down on his side, his leg still feeling the effects of the bite. If was not for his aura, he would have lost his feet.

His eyes widened seeing the wolfman jump in his direction, and he raised his shield to block the incoming attack. All he could do was keep his shield between himself and the Lycanthrope, while the wolfman keeps attacking non-stop, trying to break the shield.

The wolfman roared and sending a very powerful blow, Jaune's arm went numb he was unable to react in time as the head of the wolfman come down, and his fangs sunk on his shoulders.

He screamed as the fangs just keep sinking deep until to his shock, went through his aura and pierced his skin, making Jaune scream even more in pain. To make it even worst, the wolfman pulled back, once again throwing Jaune after freeing his shoulder from his jaw.

The blonde landed on the grass roughly, groaning in pain while holding his shoulder, feeling some of his blood in the palm of his hand.

-How he did this?! -Jaune thought. -I thought my aura was supposed to protect my body until it runs out!

He had no time to ponder, noticing the wolfman rushing to him like a wolf after his prey. Lycanthrope aimed another bite and Jaune rolled in the way just in time for the wolfman to eat the dirty of the ground but was shocked that without spit out the dirt from his jaw, Lycanthrope kicked him on the stomach in a way similar to a soccer player kicking a ball. Even more shocked that he was once again sent flying until he hits his back in a tree, breaking it through and this time landing on the hard surface of a mineral.

Lycanthrope came once again from above and in this short time, Jaune remembers one of his partner's ideas of how to use some of his skills during a fight. Not his usual dancing style but used a breaking dance move to make the Lycanthrope lose balance and land on his face in the hard ground.

Jaune wasted no time to get back at his feet and run to where he lost his sword. The wound on his leg made it hard for him to run but he had no choice. Having no experience in fight bare-handed, without his sword he was lost.

A roar from behind made him sweat in fear, the loud thumps from behind as well. When the sounds got louder and rolled to the side just in time to see the Lycanthrope leaping to where he was with both claws aiming to kill.

Like a wolf stalking a possible prey, the Lycanthrope walked in all four while Jaune mimicked his motion. Considering that the monster was standing with his hands on the ground like a real wolf, Jaune knew what was coming.

This reminds him of something Ryan told him.

Jaune was laid on his back after Ryan told him to rush after him to demonstrate how to use a judo throw.

-Sometimes, your opponent will not think twice before jump in your direction with whatever weapon he has in his hands ready to strike. -Ryan explained. -Since it is such an obvious movement, you can use the momentum your opponent himself made.

-The momentum? -Jaune asked.

-Yes, the distance you will throw them will be deducted from the force your enemy throws himself against you. The stronger he rushes after you, the far away you will be able to throw him.

No best time to test this theory since he needs some space from the Lycanthrope and recover his sword, he just needed to wait for the right time. The Lycanthrope roared and rushed after Jaune.

Now, he thought.

The wolfman jumped after him with both claws stretched, fast enough to take his foe by surprise but not enough to Jaune not see and bend his body back, putting a leg on the wolfman's chest and throwing him back to where they came from.

The Lycanthrope flew far away from Jaune, giving him the chance he needed to recover his sword.

His weapon was back in his hand, but what now?

With the wound on his shoulder, he could not hold his weapon properly to fight. Then he remembers about one thing about aura, it can heal wounds. But the damage in his shoulder was too deep for his aura to heal in time.

This until once again, words from his partner came to his mind.

Where Jaune's was white, Ryan's aura had a light shade of green, like leaves of a forest.

The blonde knight watched curiously as the shade of green become even lighter, as Ryan focused his aura around his body. Putting all in the right hand, he followed by moving through his arm until his aura reached his right shoulder, then moved through his chest to his left shoulder, through his left arm until his aura reached his left hand.

-As you can see, someone's aura is not limited to covering the whole body. -Ryan explained.

-But it is not better if our auras are covering our whole body? -Jaune asked.

-Yes, when it comes to protection. However, focusing your aura on one specific part of your body can bring some advantages.

-Like what?

-Like when striking someone bare-handed, your attack power will increase while protecting, even more, your hand from any damage. Also, you know that aura can heal minor wounds, right.

-Yes, Pyrrha explained to me.

-Now, if you focus the aura of your whole body on one specific part, it will grant you even more healing capabilities, since all your aura is focused in one place.

-Seriously?

-But be warned, when your move your aura to focus on one point of your body, it will leave the rest exposed from attacks. So it is recommendable you use only while any foe is not around.

Remembering the explanation of his partner, as well as how to move his aura, Jaune focused all on his wounded shoulder. The white barrier covering his body suddenly moved to that specific point, while leaving his body without protection but healing even faster his shoulder.

He could already feel all the pain disappearing, and the holes in his skin caused by the Lycanthrope's fangs also were healing, but it would take a while to heal such a deep wound.

It was not an option for him as he heard the roar from the wolfman approaching. His aura covered his whole body again and he wielded his swords with both hands.

Fight was his only option, so fight he would.

The Lycanthrope came from above after a leap, aiming both claws at Jaune, to counter-attack, the knight put his blade in a horizontal position, like that the blade held both claws, but the strength pulled him back and as his back hits the ground, he used the same throw from before. Only for this time the wolfman be prepared and with a kick against the ground, flew against Jaune with a kick on the back right at the moment he was back on his feet.

Jaune's face hit the ground and he rolled to the left, avoiding being stomped by his opponent, and tried to slice the wolfman's leg, but as if saw it coming the wolfman leaped and put both feet on the blade. Jaune was back on his feet quickly and pushed the Lycanthrope off his weapon, and raised quickly enough to block the incoming claw.

Once again the superior strength of the Lycanthrope pushed Jaune back. The Lycanthrope keeps giving cut after cut, forcing Jaune back as he tried to use his sword to block the strikes. This also was tiring his arms, and he felt his sword becoming heavier in his arms.

Jaune knew he could not keep blocking, but he also could not outrun the wolfman, but could not fight against him either, sweat began to drip from his forehead as he notices the lack of options for his survivor.

With a battle cry, Jaune pushed the next strike away and gave a cut on the wolfman's shoulder, but like before it did not cut through the fur. Giving the wolfman no time to react, he attacked and attacked in hopes to make some damage against the grimm, but the Lycanthrope just put his arms like an X, blocking the blade.

Jaune aimed to his feet, and the Lycanthrope leaped, dodging the attack and kicking Jaune in the face. He stumbled but spun fast enough and give another cut on the wolfman's face. The jaw holds the blade, pulled Jaune closer, and hit a punch on the knight's face. Jaune did not let go of his sword, knowing that his chances of winning would be zero without his weapon. The Lycanthrope punched him over and over, his aura taking a toll from the attacks alone.

Jaune choked feeling the monster's hand around his neck. The Lycanthrope pulled him closer, jaw opens to trying one more time to take a bite, only to Jaune kick him on the chin, making the wolfman releases his neck.

His sword was free, and he aimed to one of his eyes, only for the Lycanthrope block with his forearm. Jaune then received a kick on the chin, followed by a strike on the stomach, a cut on his wrist, the pain forcing him to lose the grip on his sword again, and finally to his immense shock, the Lycanthrope a reverse somersault kick, the claws in his feet giving a straight cut from his stomach to his neck until his feet his Jaune's square on the chin, sending him flying away and landing roughly on the ground.

The damage of the combo he just receives was worst than he could have imagined, the pain on his leg was making it hard for him to stand back, his wrist was sore so he doubted that he could hold his sword again even if he tried. That somersault kick could have split him in two if was not for his aura. The internal damage was visible from the blood dripping from the corner of his mouth.

All of this just shows Jaune how out of his league he was against the wolfman. It was the main reason he let Ryan fight alone against the Lycanthrope, but his partner was sent away by the wolfman, and he doubts that he could come anytime soon from the distance that crimson beam sends him flying away.

It was clear that without his partner, he was nothing. The thought sends despair to his mind as his enemy approached.

-What I was thinking? The strongest of Vacuo could not defeat that thing. What hope did I have? What chances I have? He trained hard while I'm a lier! A fake!

Jaune keeps thinking as Lycanthropy approached him.

Down his knees, body trembling and his head down, it seems the young knight accepted his fate as the wolfman man raised his claws for the final strike.

-I brought this on myself. -It was Jaune's last thought.

The claw came down... and nothing happened.

Jaune opened his eyes and was surprised to see himself again on his feet.

-W-what? -He asked and Lycanthropy charged again with its other claw.

Jaune only watched with eyes wide open the claw come, and his body moves on his own. He yelped as the claw took only a few strands of his hair when his head leaned back. His leg moved away from the way of the claw strike coming. His shoulder moved away from a stab. His body leaps to dodge the attack of its tail.

-W-what's going on? -Jaune thought as he dodges another attack. -My body... is moving on its own!

The most surprising aspect of what was happening to Jaune was that he was dodging his enemies' attacks better than before. It was like his body was feeling the danger coming and was reacting to what was coming.

-W-wow... -Jaune stated dodging another attack. -T-this is the most amazing and strange thing to ever happen to me!

He could not contain the grin on his face as his body keep dodging. Feeling confident on his chances, his fist came and hit the wolfman straight on his snout. The punch, however, did nothing but annoy the wolfman, who growled with his teeth.

-Why on Remnant I did that?! -Jaune shouts and sees the Lycanthrope open his jaw one more time.

Only for two arms forcibly close them.

Ryan keeps the Lycanthrope's jaw closed, also choking him. Seeing his past foe back, the Lycanthrope changed his target, presuming Ryan to be the more dangerous.

-Jaune! -Ryan called. -Get your sword!

-Why?

-Why are you even asking?!

-You don't need my help! You are Vacuo's strongest fighter! You don't need my help! You never needed it!

-Who the hell said that?! -Ryan shouts as the Lycanthrope gave a jump and landed on his back, smashing Ryan on the floor, but the gunslinger did not let go of the monster. -I've been in need of your aid since the Danger Zone!

-What are you talking about?!

-If was not for your plans, all I would have been doing in the Danger Zone is running for my life! You are the one who came with the plan to defeat the Rockshell! You came with the plan to outwith the insect Grimms! You thought about how to escape the fissure! Almost everything I did was following your plans! -As Ryan finished his explanation, he was thrown on the ground by the wolfman, but still did not let go of him. -Without you, I would be running away or going with brute force through the Danger Zone! And I doubt I could survive fighting against those Grimms all by myself!

Hearing how his partner needed him helped a little to give Jaune some confidence. He still is not so skilled in combat as Ryan is, but he knew how to use his head, at least is what Ryan was telling him.

Making up his mind, he rushed to where his sword was right in time for Ryan to finally lose the hold on the wolfman. The Lycanthrope opened his jaw and the crimson sphere appeared again in the middle of his mouth.

It was when Jaune rushed after the Lycanthrope and aimed a cut on the monster's mouth, not accurate enough to give him a cut but enough to actually removed one of his fangs. The wolfman growled and despite charging up before, opened his jaw and fired another crimson beam, this time against Jaune, who felt something tug on his legs and bring him down before the beam could connect with his chest.

The Lycanthrope opened his jaw but now for a bite, and using his elbows, Ryan leaped in the air and landed on the wolfman's back. With his legs below the Lycanthrope's armpits, Ryan pushed the wolfman up and smashed him against the ground.

Ryan had only a second to stare at the wolfman before take his head away to avoid the crimson beam coming to his forehead. Jaune then appeared from above and aimed his sword down to shove against the Lycanthrope's chest, and was surprised when the woman held the blade with both his feet.

The next crimson beam shot took only a bit of Jaune's blonde hair after Ryan rushed and putting a hand on the Lycanthrope's chin, forcing the monster to face above. His claw came and gave a cut on Ryan's chest, then he grabbed the gunslinger's head he shoved his face on the ground. With his legs still holding Jaune's sword, he brought the knight closer and wrapped his arms around him.

The Lycanthrope then gave a huge jump, spinning in midair before going for a free fall, still holding Jaune and about to use him to break his fall.

They came to the ground, a screen of dirty raising in the air, however, Jaune felt more like he landed in a hollow sandbox, he barely felt the fall. Then he notices Ryan with a hand below the ground, probably using his semblance to create a hollow on the ground.

The monster opened his jaw and fired another beam against Ryan, who was able to dodge in time. However, despite not hitting his target, the beam did not cease. Instead, the Lycanthrope turns his head to the ground, where Jaune's head was.

The blonde knight could only tilt his head a bit to the right, the beam burning a little his skin as Ryan, running in inhuman speed, held the wolfman's head and stopped him from moving his head further in the direction of Jaune's face.

Feeling the rage from many centuries of humiliation, the Lycanthrope's fur started to glow red like his beam.

Far from their location, a crimson dome could be seen increasing in size before disappearing in thin air.

Jaune could feel everything hurting. Whatever was the Lycanthrope did, it was hurting in his whole body. Not far from where he was laying, his partner was trying to recover from the attack.

In front of them, the Lycanthrope also shows some bruises and even some burns. Whatever he did, it also hurts him too. It did not stop him from glowing crimson again.

-Behind me! -Ryan shouts as he covered himself with the same rock armor from the first round of the Challenge.

Different from the last time, instead of a dome, the Lycanthrope unleashed from his chest a massive crimson beam against the duo.

The beam hit Ryan, and the gunslinger could feel his feet nearly submit to the pressure of the beam until Jaune started to support him from the back. The rock armor around Ryan's arms starts to crumble as the beam keeps coming.

When it finally stopped, Ryan's defenses were nearly brought down, and the Lycanthrope's fur was glowing red once again.

-I got an idea. -Jaune whispered to his partner.

They just needed to wait until it was time for the wolfman to shot the beam once again. When the red glow disappeared from his fur, they knew it was the time.

The Lycanthrope was forced to keep his focus on Jaune, who after his partner kneel down, put a foot on the rock shell on his back and jumped high in the air. Seeing the blonde knight trying to attack him from above, the Lycanthrope aimed the beam against the foe in the air.

He fell on the trap.

Before he could fire, he felt an enormous pain in his stomach. Looking down, he saw the gunslinger, holding the knight's sword, shoving the blade against his stomach. Blood spell from his mouth as Ryan was back to his feet and raised both arms and stretched them back, right in time to Jaune land behind him and hand over him the black revolver.

Ryan took the revolver from the barrel and with a fast and strong swing, hit the wolfman square on the face, the force of the strike sent him flying away for a couple of seconds before finally landing on the ground, some of his teeth on the ground out of his jaw.

Before he could rise back to his feet, Ryan pinned him down and after some sparks coming from his body, he unleashed a small thunderstorm, right above the wolfman, frying him as much he could before finally turn off.

The burnt smell filled the air as the Lycanthrope laid on the ground, unmoving.

Seeing the wolfman would not move for a while, Jaune stumbled to where his partner was and fell on his butt.

-Care to explain what the hell was that about? -Ryan asked, sounding like the time they were inside the Behemoth.

Jaune wonders once again if his partner has some dissociative identity disorder.

-I just thought that... the one considered the number one of Vacuo did not need any help.

-Fée rubbed on you already, didn't she? -Ryan said, looking to the ground.

-I guess she did. -Jaune could not look to his partner as he spoke his next words. -I'm sorry. When I heard about you being the number one in your kingdom, I started to think that I was slowing you down. So, I decided to leave all the fighting to you.

-It is okay.

-R-really?

-Yes. -Ryan spoke the next words in a low tone. -It is not the first time that happens.

This... Jaune did not know how to answer that.

Despite what his partner said, he still felt it was not okay at all, the tension did not dissipate a bit. For a whole minute, the only thing Ryan did was cross his legs at the annoying smell of the burned wolfman near them.

-So... when I was fighting alone against the Lycanthrope, my body moved by his own, dodging his attacks. I don't suppose... you know what is, do you?

Ryan was silent for a moment before the turn to his partner.

-Instinctual reflexes.

-Come again.

-It is a rare occurrence that only a few people can achieve. And if mastered right, can make it possible for the body and the brain to act at the same time, like mind and body having perfect teamwork.

-But the body does not move right after the brain gives the command? -Jaune asked.

-Not exactly. -Ryan's gaze went upwards to the clouds as he began to explain. -Once I heard the command the brain gives takes at least 0.5 seconds to reach whatever part of the body it sends. This means that in those 0.5 seconds the body is almost the same as unconscious, only after that time the body reacts. Anything before that let the body exposed to any dangers.

-But what could be the advantage of this teamwork?

-The delay between the brain and the muscle would be inexistent, which means a mean an instantaneous reaction to any incoming danger. It may not seem, but those little seconds can make a huge difference during a fight.

-But how come my body reacted to himself?

-This I don't know how to explain. Perhaps is instinct, or a sixth sense. Anyone can do it, but it can't be taught or learned, only awake.

-This means I just awoke a rare skill among the humans and faunus.

-Practically.

-Wow. -Jaune beamed looking to his own hands. Never in the deeps of his imagination, he thought in learn such as skill. -Hey, since you are not much a fan of fighting, maybe you should consider a career as a combat instructor?

-Really?

-Yeah! I mean, I think you would do a far better job than Glynda.

-It is MISS Goodwitch for you, Mr. Arc.

The elegant but strict voice of the blonde teacher sends a shiver in both their spines. The duo immediately was back on his feet standing ramrod as Glynda walked to them, her face showing that she clearly did not only heard Jaune's comment but not liked either.

-M-M-Ms. Goodwitch?! -Jaune stammered. -W-what are you doing here?!

-Ozpin send her to check up on you both after your lockers were launched. -Blaze, the pilot, explained as she stood behind Glynda. -It seems that you both found some trouble, huh?

-What exactly happened here? -Glynda asked.

-We found a Lycanthrope. -Jaune answered.

-A Lycanthrope? -Glynda asked as she scanned her surroundings. -And where it is?

-It is right... here? -Jaune said, pointing to where the burned wolfman was, only to see he was left.

It was still alive!

-Well, whatever it was, it seems to be gone by now. -Blaze commented. -It is back to bring them both to Beacon and give them some medical care, don't you think?

Glynda did not need to answer, but gave her back to the duo and went back to where she came from. Once inside the Bullhead, some images of their battle flashed in Jaune's mind.

-What is in your mind? -Ryan asked, laying on the other side.

-Do you hear how the Lycanthrope roared while fighting us?

-Like he was roaring 'you both shall pay for what he did'?

-So you notice.

-It is not the first time someone with a grudge attacked me. -Why Jaune keep getting surprised? -So what? Do you think the Lycanthrope was attacking us for some reason? I mean, Grimms never needed a reason before.

-What if the Lycanthrope is not a grimm?

The question made Ryan raise an eyebrow.

-Come again?

-Do you ever heard another grimm roar as he did?

-No, actually. But from what we are talking about, he would need a reason to attack us.

It was when Jaune remembered something that happened early in that day. It could not be a coincidence that a Lycanthrope appeared after a remnant of his kind appeared in the forest.

Reaching for his pocket, he took the fang from the cranium in professor Port's office.

-It is not only how he reacted to our presence. -Jaune muttered while looking at the fang in his hand. -When I tried to attack him with my sword, the blade did not connect with his skin. It is not like the Lycanthrope has iron fur or something like that. I could see something similar to an aura protecting him from my blade.

Ryan pondered his partner's words, finding some logic in what he was saying. He may look like a grimm, but the Lycanthrope show skills far beyond a mindless grimm ever show, his attacks were accurate, his style had some technique, and he actually could feel emotions from the wolfman.

-So, what do you plan to make with this information?

For now, he decides to keep this information for himself. He needed to meet with someone after give their explanation of what happened in Noir Forest.

The broken moon was somewhat more pleasant for Fée during that night. It was a perfect night for her to enjoy a cup of tea. Soie, her butler poured her more tea, which she gladly accepted.

-Merci beaucoupSoie.

-My pleasure miss. -Soie spoke before they heard a knocking on the door. -Excuse me.

Soie went to the door to see who was, and show no signs of surprise seeing Jaune standing there. The face he was making show that he was not there to socialize.

-Is Fée there? -Jaune asked.

-We have been expecting you, Mr. Arc. -Soie said and allowed him to enter.

The blonde boy slowly walks to the table where the silver-haired girl shows no reaction outside of the friendly smile she always seemed to have. This shows to Jaune how fake this smile was, simply because she still has it, even in a situation so ordinary as this one.

-Monsieur Arc. -Fée began. -I'm glad to see you are alright. I heard you and Monsieur Forest found some trouble during today's labor.

-I want to ask you something. -Jaune said, not bothering to keep from where Fée spoke.

-And what would be?

-What do you have against Ryan.

-Pardon Moi?

-On that day at the mall, you told me about Ryan being the number one in an attempt to mess with our teamwork. You knew that I would feel inferior to him after hearing about his status as the best of his kingdom, with that our friendship could be put in a rough place. You spoke with Weiss, right? -Fée keeps silent, allowing Jaune to continue. -She probably told you about how inferior I am compared to Ryan, and you knew that my stupid pride would get in the way during our next match or battle. I thought that just because he is the number one in Vacuo, he would not need my help during the battle, and apply that to the Challenge would put him specifically in a hard spot, going in one against two. -At this point, Fée just took a sip of her tea while focusing her eyes on the cup in her hand. -There would be no guarantees that without help, Ryan could handle students from the second year.

-Monsieur Arc, are you truly accusing me of sabotage Ryan's chances on this Challenge of yours? -Fée sounded offended as she made the question. -Do you have any proof?

-Of course not.

-Then how can you come to my dorm and give me such an accusation?

-Well, Ryan told me that you have something against him. -Jaune said with a shrug. -It is not hard to choose who to believe, a girl I just meet or the guy who agreed to be my partner in this challenge, despite my mediocre combat skills.

-Yet, nothing could come from this so why even bother to accuse me?

-Because I want to know that whatever you are planning, I will not allow you to continue. He is not only my partner, but he also is my friend. Let him face a battle alone while I'm around is not a mistake I will make again.

After hearing his words, Fée sighed.

-Fine, I shall tell you. Monsieur Forest's father once caused a huge loss to my father. He...

-Don't give me that Ryan's father bullcrap! -Jaune shouted. It surprised Soie but Fée keep with a firm face. -If Wolf was the problem, you would have targeted him from the beginning instead of going after his son. And I know Ryan is not an only child, and you never went after his other siblings. This clearly shows that you have a vendetta against him.

It seems she underestimated the blonde knight. After hearing his reasonings, Jaune notices that Fée's face, most precisely her eyes, was covered in a shadow as her sweet look turned into a glare that promised pain for those who opposed her.

-You are right Monsieur Arc. -Fée began. -My hate towards Monsieur Forest is far from his family tree. A long time ago, something was taken from me and given to him. And he could have returned it to me, he still can... but he decides not to do it.

-And what is?

-I'm in no liberty to speak.

-W-what?

-I am forbidden to speak about this regard, and so Monsieur Forest. And I say this in case you wish to have a word with him about our past experiences.

-But everything you did to him, all of it, it is not a bit too much?

Like he just asked a faunus extremist if his hate towards humans was an exaggeration, Fée adopted an expression of silent but pure hatred towards him.

It was there that Jaune notices that what Fée was doing to Ryan was nothing sort of what Cardin was doing to him or the bunny faunus.

-I vow to destroy him, and not pathetic project of the knight will stand in my way.

She wanted to end him, no matter what.

-He's not only my partner, but he is also my friend, and I will not allow you to do him any harm.

-You're his partner, his ally, what makes you my enemy. So be warned Mosieour Arc, that nothing will stop me from achieving my goal. If I have to get rid of you to do so, I shall do it.

With that said, she turned her back to him, and her butler invited Jaune to leave the dorm. Once the door was closed behind him, Jaune knew that he did not make a rival, but an enemy.

But now, he could only wonder what is that thing Ryan took from her to be so important to the point to all of this.
