Sorry for my bad English.
A quick chapter because I want to say something, but the next one will be a big one.
So, I gave a look on the three first episodes on RWBY Ice Queendom, free for view on the Crunchyroll channel on YT.
The animation is good, some new scenes were added but they had to shorten some scenes from the original series, "Jaunedice" was cut off to add something new that lastet less than ten minutes before going back to the original plot of the original series, also shortened.
I believe that the new Grimm-what else we expected?-will be the focus of the rest of the series. That said, it makes me question the use of redo and shorten the whole series instead of starting with the intented plot for this new animation. I mean, when I startet a story with my OCs, I didn't beat the bush and sent them straight to the deserts of Vacuo and give a quick summary of their mission, they could have done the same.
Introduce new character, introduce the new Grimm, show what the Grimm can do, solve the problem, then start the problem again in a bigger scale. May not be perfect but would be better than a abridged, not funny, version of the first season of the original show.

Oobleck's office
-That said, what did you both think? -Oobleck asked both second-year students in front of his desk. -You both accept?
-If the headmaster gave them this Challenge, they promise to be an interesting challenge for me. -One said. -I accept.
-I also heard a lot from my peers about the gunslinger, and I would like to try my skills against him. -The second one said. -I accept as well.
-Excellent. The battle will be scheduled for the next week. You both are dismissed! -Oobleck said and left the room as a blur.
The Feeding Warriors.
Strange name aside, it was easy to see why everyone in the academy from the second year to above speaks highly about Brick's food. The big man himself just knew what to do with the food in the kitchen. Even Ozpin among the professors was once seen eating the goat faunus' food.
With that in mind, it was no surprise that teams RWBY and CNVL were once again there to try a new meal that was just added to the menu.
Cheese bread is a dish that comes from a far away country and was brought to Vale by Brick Stronghold. It was not what the teams were expecting seeing the small yellow balls in front of them on the counter.
-I eat cheese bread once but it was not like this. -Commented Chocolat.
-Mr. Stronghold, may I ask where you got the recipe for this? -Weiss asked the big man himself.
The man himself has black skin, a cut going down on his blind eye, and goat horns on the top of his head. He stood behind the counter, offering the teams to be the first of his customers to try the recipe he learned a long time ago, and decide to show it to the people of Vale after not hearing from anyone else for a while now.
-From a country, far away from the four kingdoms. -Spoke the big, goat faunus. -After having the first one, I couldn't help to ask for the recipe.
-It seems pretty ordinary if you ask me. -Blake commented.
-When I subscribe to a beauty cooking contest, I'll put more effort into making them look good. -Brick commented.
The teams shared a chuckle before taking one from their respective plates. The smell was pretty good, the bread dough and cheese mixture together in a way was unlike anything they've ever felt. Squeezing in their fingers, they could see it was crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. Putting one in their mouths, they all hummed in joy, the taste dancing around their mouths as they chewed the dough, wanting to chew and chew and chew until their mouths were sore from all the move.
Finally, one of them swallowed the cheese bread and stated their opinion.
-It's delicious! -Chocolat commented.
-The way they are made makes it pleasant to chew them and let them roll around the mouth to enjoy the taste as much as possible. -Ren commented.
-It's amazing! -Ruby and Nora commented together.
-Where they have been in my whole life? -Yang asked.
Further feedback from the rest was unnecessary, seeing their smiling faces, bringing to Brick's face a smile on his own.
-I'm glad you all liked it. -The big man commented.
-I don't want to be rude but should you really cook while wearing a sleeveless shirt? -Ren asked.
-Afraid of some fur in the food? Don't worry! -Brick shouts and then flexes his muscle below Nora's shin, her eyes scanning the hairless arm in front of her face. The ginger-haired girl couldn't help but feel the muscles with her fingers. -Each night and morning I shove my arms to make sure not even a single piece of fur fall in the food I'm cooking. I must wake up an hour earlier than everyone else in my home but is a sacrifice I'm willing to take.
-My gosh. -Nora exclaimed feeling the head-size muscles. -It's like a baby's butt!
Wanting to change the strange topic, Ruby decides to ask something that was in her mind.
-Mr. Stronghold, can I ask something? -She asked.
-What it is? -Brick asked, letting go of Nora.
-Why there is a claymore hanging over there? -Ruby asked, pointing to the wall above the window giving access to the kitchen.
-Oh, it is my weapon from my times as a huntsman.
-You were a huntsman? -Chocolat asked before putting another cheese bread in her mouth.
-Yes. Being big and strong as I am, it was natural for one of the headmasters to want me to become a huntsman. I was young and had nothing better to do, so I accepted it as a way to pass time. It worked better than I expected and people even gave me a nickname.
-A nickname? What it was? -Yang asked.
-They used to call me The Juggernaut. -Ruby almost choked upon hearing the name while everyone else widened their eyes in surprise.
-T-the Juggernaut!? You are The Juggernaut?! -Weiss asked, not noticing Nora trying to snatch one of Weiss' cheese breads, only to have her hand slapped by Chocolat. -The same Juggernaut who could enter in the middle of an army of Grimms bare-handed and return victorious?
-Well, be dammed. -Brick said scratching the back of his head. -I didn't think youngsters would hear about me.
-Why wouldn't we?! -Ruby asked. -I heard so much about you! I just did not expect to meet you like this! I mean, why are you here cooking while you could be slaying dozen of Grimms?
-Ruby, this may be particular. -Chocolat warned making the young reaper sit back with a 'yeep'!
-No, it is okay. -Brick said. -She is not the first one to ask that. It just while I helped so many people with that blade... -Brick pointed to his claymore. -... this whole restaurant is my dream since I was a not-so-small boy.
-You dream to be a chef in a restaurant? -Blake asked before putting another cheese bread in her mouth.
-Do what makes you happy is what people say, right. I like to cook for people and see their faces after a delicious and successful meal. I don't know why, it is just something that brings me joy.
-Considering how well commented your restaurant and food are among the people of Vale, I say it is truly your call in life. -Pyrrha commented with a smile.
And put another cheese bread in her mouth. Not everyone agreed with Pyrrha on this one. Weiss thought that Brick, despite being a faunus, being the type of huntsman he was, should just stick with that, being more useful on a battlefield than in a kitchen, despite how good his food is.
Blake thought that if someone like him keep fighting, would bring a better reputation to his kind since there are still people who look down on faunus. With his reputation, he could somehow influence those who don't see faunus as people.
Yang never thought that someone would trade the battlefield for a kitchen. She wishes to see the world but is a fighter herself, and she doesn't see herself trading that for anything else.
The doors opened cutting both teams from their thoughts right in time to see the duo approach. Jaune and Ryan said nothing, just sat beside their friends before speaking.
-The next battle will come next week. -Jaune said.
And both teams' eyes widened in surprise.

Cheese breads is one of my favorite things to eat here in my country, if you ever find a brazillian joint around, you should give a try.
Side note, the name of the new Grimm from RWBY Ice Queendom is the same name from a Grimm I created in my OC fic and have a similar ability. I'm not going to add details to not give any spoiler although the first three episodes have nothing noteworthy. Perhaps there will be more to come but we will have to wait to see what this anime adaptation has to offer.
