And so, the meeting begins.
Enjoy!
"Hey, get up! We're almost there!" Despite the pain she felt in her stomach, Nashi managed to lift her head as Triton called down to them. She'd been in constant agony due to her motion sickness, so she really had no idea how long they'd been on the water. After a few more seconds of silence the hatch on the roof opened, and Triton walked down the stairs and glared at them.
"Get above," he said. "We're arriving at Mount Olympus."
"Mount Olympus?" Nashi heard Simon ask. "Is that your base?"
"Yeah, it is." Triton replied. "Come on, up you go." Nashi heard the others standing up, so she too attempted to get to her feet. Her stomach disagreed, and she gagged as she stumbled forwards.
"Maybe you three should stay down here..." Steph said.
"Nonsense..." Elise muttered somewhere to Nashi's left. "We're okay, just...Woozy."
"You three, carry them up." Triton said. At this Nashi felt someone grab her and guide her towards the stairs.
"Don't puke on me," Ultear hissed. "Or else." Nashi managed to laugh.
"I'll try," she replied as they walked up the stairs. Being above deck barely soothed her stomach, but the freeze air did. If only slightly.
"Woah..." Ultear said, coming to a stop. "...That's Mount Olympus?"
"Sure is," Triton replied as the boat lurched forward, making Nashi feel even sicker. "We'll be there in a few minutes." Nashi's curiosity overrode her stomach, and she lifted her head to see their destination.
There, framed against the night sky, was a mountain. It rose at least several hundred feet into the air, and the summit appeared to be open to the air.
"It's...Massive," she managed.
"It's a base," Triton said. "Of course it's big. Idiot." Ignoring this insult, Nashi felt her stomach worsen. It wasn't from the motion though, it was her nerves. Now that they were in sight of The Olympians base, she was more nervous than ever before. Now it was real. No turning back.
And yet, despite spending at least a day on a boat praying she'd be able to get off, Nashi wanted nothing more than to have it turn around.
Once the boat had come to a stop at the edge of the mountain, Nashi was able to stand on her own two feet. Elise and Drake also looked pretty out of it, while the others were observing their surroundings.
"Well, we're here." Triton said. "Off you go. Your escort awaits."
"Escort?" Simon asked. "Who is that?"
"That would be me, Simon." Nashi looked up the rocky stairway to see a thing black haired woman standing there. She seemed to have magical screens floating around her face, but her eyes were focused on them.
"Lady Athena," Triton greeted. "It's nice to see you." Athena nodded. Nashi didn't know what it was, but her magic power felt weird. Certainly she was incredibly powerful, but it felt very strange to Nashi.
"You as well, Triton." She said. "Now, could the Fairy Tail wizards please follow me? I do not wish to be late." Nobody said anything as they stepped off of the boat, and Athena watched them carefully.
"What?" Damien asked.
"All seven are present, as well." she said. "Excellent. Please, follow me." With this she turned and began to walk away, leaving them no choice but to follow. Nashi looked up as they walked closer to the mountain. She had no idea what was inside, but the closer she got the worse she felt.
Once they entered Mount Olympus, Nashi could see the vast contrast between the mountain and the base. It was clear the base was carved into the mountain itself, but the halls and rooms were all built from steel and looked very much like a normal building.
"Where are we going?" Nashi asked.
"To the meeting," Athena replied, playing around with the screens that encircled her head. "I'm sure Hermes told you about that."
"He said you wanted to meet with us, yeah." Simon said. "Anything beyond that was pretty vague."
"As it should have been, Athena replied. "But I'm sure you all can guess why you're here." Nashi had a few ideas, but most she didn't want to share with her friends. It'd do nothing but worry them.
"So how long is this going to take?" Damien asked. Athena didn't reply. "Hey, Athena. How long is this going to take?"
"How should I know?" Athena asked, looking over her shoulder at them. "It's over once all matters Zeus wishes to talk about have been resolved. Until then you will remain here." So it came down to Zeus. It didn't take a lot of deduction to know he led The Olympians.
"It sounds like we'll be here a while," Drake said. "If you have to tell us we're staying until it's over."
"That comes down to you," Athena replied, swiping across a screen to her left. "Will you fight us at every turn of the meeting, as you have until now?" Nobody responded to this. "Regardless, you should do your best to remain calm. Last thing you want is to start an argument here."
"Duly noted..." Elise muttered.
Athena led them down what felt like an endless hallway until they came to a stop outside a large pair of double doors. Athena turned to them and crossed her arms.
"Alright, the meeting will take place inside," she said. "I am to introduce you to the other Olympians, and we will start once everyone joins us. Any objections?" No one spoke up. "Good. Let's go." With this, Athena turned and opened the door, leading them inside.
The second they entered the room the doors slammed shut behind them. Nashi tensed up as ten other people standing in the room turned to them. With all eyes on them, Nashi noted the immense magic power in the room. However, it was just like Athena's. It felt very strange, yet strong.
"Ah, so there are our little trouble makers." A man with a flashy smile said. "I was wondering when they would show up." He walked up to them, and Nashi tensed. Despite the smile, she didn't trust him nor anyone else in this room other than her friends. "My name is Apollo. It's nice to finally meet you all face to face."
"You...too," Nashi replied. Apollo held out a hand, but Nashi did not. They stared at each other for a few seconds before he chuckled and lowered his hand.
"Tense, are we?" He asked. "I figured. Not like any of you wanted to be here today."
"Where is Zeus, Apollo?" Athena asked. Apollo turned to her, still smiling.
"He should be here soon," he replied. "Said he had something to look into."
"Yeah, don't worry about it." Another voice said. Nashi looked over to find a man in a suit walking over. He had hair as black as midnight, and his eyes matched the colour alarmingly well.
"Hades," Athena greeted. "I'm surprised you decided to attend."
"Of course," he said, voice smooth as silk. "I wouldn't miss the chance to see the thorn in our sides in person." With this, he looked towards Nashi Dragneel. "Isn't that right, Nashi darling?" Nashi gulped at this. Hades slowly held out his hand, and waited quietly. Nashi didn't know why, but she slowly raised her hand and shook his. It was cold to the touch and didn't warm up the longer she held it, which was unnerving to say the least.
"Right," she replied weakly. "I could say the same. You guys haven't exactly made it easy to avoid you." Hades laughed as he released Nashi.
"Yes, well, that's probably because you became apart of the plan after a while. But enough about that. Zeus probably wants to wait to talk about the plans and what you've ruined."
"Can't wait..." Drake muttered behind Nashi.
"But I'm sure you may recognise a few faces. Hermes is over there, you remember him of course." Nashi followed Hades' finger towards Hermes, who was leaning up against the wall in the room. He smirked as they looked at him and nodded. "And while you might not recognise his face, his craft is unmistakable. Hephaestus it right over there!" Nashi looked over the other way to see a smaller man with grey hair and a large beard standing there. He seemed to have some odd mechanism over his left eye.
"Craft?" Simon asked. Hades nodded.
"Oh yes. After all, he's the one that kept Kronos alive after you lot nearly killed him." This caused Nashi's stomach to turn. She'd known The Olympians had kept Kronos alive, but it seemed Hephaestus did most of it. "Quite amazing, wasn't it?"
"That's one way of putting it, I suppose..." Ultear muttered. "Creepy too."
"Yes well, style was never Hephaestus' strong suit. Right Hephaestus?"
"Go to hell, Hades." the man replied in a gruff voice. This made Hades laugh.
"Such a charmer," he said.
"Can you stop being so casual?" Nashi looked over to the other side of the room, where a woman sat against the wall. She had silvery blonde hair, and piercing blue eyes. "Their the enemy, not your cousins."
"Oh come on, sis." Apollo said. "There's no need for hostility. Not right now, anyway." The woman didn't say anything at this, which made Apollo chuckle. "Uptight as always hm?"
"Just sit down and shut up," A man drinking win at the other side of the room said. "The shows about to start." Before Nashi could even question what he meant, the floor and the centre of the room opened up. A large circular table with nineteen seats rose up from it.
And standing next to the table was an older man. He had a long grey beard and grey hair, and he was holding a staff in his right hand, it's head shaped like a lightning bolt.
It didn't take a genius to figure out it was Zeus. He looked over towards everyone else, eyes making Nashi feel rather intimidated. He too had a strange magical power, but it was clearly very strong as well.
"I see we've all made it," he said, voice booming and strong. "Sit. It is time we discuss what we came here for." The other Olympians made moves to sit down at the table, so Nashi and the others did as well, filling out one side of the table. Before long they were all being stared at by The Olympians, who were watching them carefully.
"Shall we get started?" Hades asked, still smirking.
"Yes, we shall." Zeus said, still standing at the opposite end of the table. He turned and looked at Nashi and her friends. "Wizards of Fairy Tail. I'm sure you are wondering what purpose we had for bringing you here."
"You could say that," Drake said, arms crossed.
"It is quite simple," Zeus said. "We are here to discuss how you all have time and time again messed up our plans and made yourselves nuisances."
"Us?" Ultear demanded.
"Yes, you." Zeus replied. "Was it not your guild who descended on Phantom Dove?"
"Yeah, but..." Simon started.
"Was it not your master who destroyed our Anima cannon?"
"Uh..." Damien said.
"Was it not you who took down Kronos and Devil Advocate, helping three members defect to boot? You who stopped Apocalypse from firing the Etherion cannon and taking control of it for us? You who again stopped Kronos from caring out our will? Please tell me, how our you not an issue?"
"You cannot be serious," Nashi demanded. "It was Phantom Dove who took us prisoner! Tortured us! Our guild saved us. Everything, everything after that is a fight you instigated!"
"Was it not you who had a job to take care of them?" Zeus demanded. Nashi's voice died at this. He had her there. That was the only reason they'd been caught.
"We don't know what you mean, Anima cannon, either." Damien said. "When did we do that?"
"All in do time, Damien." Zeus replied, finally sitting down. "For now, though, we must being negotiations to end this. Athena, if you would?"
"Of course, Zeus." Athena said. Another screen popped up in front of her, and she swiped it over to Zeus, who nodded at her in thanks before turning back to Nashi and the others.
"Nashi Dragneel," He said. "You helped take down Devil Advocate, helped three members defect, killed Apocalypse and stopped us taking control of the Etherion cannon, and took down Kronos again during the end of the Grand Magic Games."
"And?" She asked. Zeus did not reply and instead moved on.
"Drake," he said. "No last name available. You led the escape from Phantom Dove, led your guild back there to destroy them, you defeated and deafened Quintus in Silverridge, and you also helped defeat Kronos at the Grand Magic Games."
"Your welcome," Drake said.
"Elise Redfox," Zeus continued. "Instigated Phantom Dove fight, later escaped. Helped the same three defectors from Devil Advocate, and helped defeat Kronos there as well."
"I really wasn't involved in the later ones, was I?" Elise asked. She almost sounded surprised.
"Ultear Fullbuster," Zeus said. "Fought in Phantom Dove fight. Defeated Maya of Devil Advocate, though is unrelated to the girls demise. Defeated Ramin at Silverridge. And Helped defeat Kronos."
"Wait, Maya's dead?" Ultear asked, sounding stunned. Zeus only moved on.
"Simon Scarlet," He said. "Fought at Phantom Dove, killed Icas of Devil Advocate. Defeated Lennix at Silverridge. And as with the others, helped defeat and imprison Kronos."
"Sounds about right," Simon said.
"Damien Dreyar," Zeus said. "What a track record. Killed Eoin, killed Taisho, defeated Shuichi. Defeated Kronos."
"Does sound pretty messed up, yeah." Damien muttered.
"And finally, Stephanie Dreyar." Zeus said. "Due to your involvement with the other six of your guild mates present here, you have been summoned."
"I've been told." Steph replied. Zeus swiped the screen away and stared at them.
"These are the crimes we accuse you of." Zeus said. "Would you like to accuse us of anything?" Nashi laughed.
"Sure," she said. "Trying to kill us, trying to kill us, trying to kill our family and us...Oh, and trying to kill us. Did I miss anything?" The room stayed quiet. "I think that's it." Zeus nodded.
"Both sides have spoken of the misdeeds committed against them," Zeus said. "The council of The Twelve may begin.
I'll leave it here for today. Next chapter will be up sooner than these two, I promise. I hope you all enjoyed, leave a review! Let's try to get ten for two chapters!
Chapter 275: Council of The Twelve
