Kagome found herself walking through a festival. It was lively and happy and she was, well, not. Helping Sesshomaru wasn't totally about helping him it was about running away. Kagome groaned as her tummy growled. He wasn't the only one with problems but he did'nt care about hers.
Kagome stopped in front of a shop with fabrics. She had not come to terms with being stuck here. She needed to ditch the skirt but wasn't ready to accept the fate of a holy woman. She wanted to get married and have kids.
Sesshomaru walked up to her, tracking her wasn't too hard even as a human. He heard her tummy growl, "Miko,"
"Don't call me that," She snapped then sighed and looked at him "I have a name,"
"You are hungry,"
"I am a lot of things,"
Something was bothering her and she was taking it out on him.
"Tell me,"
She shook her head, "Let's just go," She moved but he reached out and grabbed her wrist. She gasped at his sudden softness and looked up at him.
"If your mind is elsewhere it can not focus,"
"Doesn't it get tiring, being perfect and right and controlled all the time? I mean you have been alive a long time,"
He looked at her in confusion and then her tummy made a noise again and he could not deny he was hungry too, "We will eat, I will tell you but you will also answer my questions,"
"Why should I?"
"Because I am going to feed and clothe you and unless you are open to other favors to repay me,"
"Sesshomaru," She groaned, "So 21 questions?"
He raised an eyebrow,
"Nevermind, fine but you aren't going to like what I have to say,"
"When has that ever stopped you before,"
He pulled on her and they walked up to the food stall. He pulled out a bag of coins and Kagome's eyes got wide. It never dawned on her that he was rich. She never thought about it. He was a prince, of course, he was rich.
Then she noticed everyone staring at him.
She wondered, did that ever get tiring too?
