Hey folks! Welcome back to "Through the Rough"! Last chapter, we got to see Mirko show her stuff as she takes on the High-End Nomu that were unleashed to try and stop her. And now, we've shifted on over to the Gunga Villa as the raid on the Paranormal Liberation Front has begun!
Hope you're excited for the big reveals and all else that's ahead! Enjoy!
THROUGH THE ROUGH
Well, well… we certainly are in the thick of it now, aren't we? While the raid on Jaku Hospital continues, the attack on the Gunga Villa has just begun. Thanks to Denki Kaminari, our heroes have avoided taking major casualties straight away.
And now, the battle continues…
"Hmm…" Nero hummed from the underground meeting hall, roiling his dice in his right hand, "Skeptic's regiment is late…" he noted aloud.
"Not to worry," a smiling Re-Destro assured beside him, getting his attention, "I'm certain they'll arrive shortly," he affirmed.
"Hm," the dual-type Quirk user huffed, dropping his dice onto the floor. They clattered to a stop, revealing a trio of different numbers. The former Oracion Seis member narrowed his eyes.
"Re-Destro! Nero!" a voice called out, causing him and his fellow commander to perk up, seeing a man rush through the crowd of soldiers to the stage, "We've got an emergency!" he warned.
"Oh, there's no need to shout," Rikiya said, still smiling without so much as a worry, "What's the problem?" he asked.
"Make it quick," Trumpet advised as he stepped forward, "We don't want anyone else interrupting our meeting today," he affirmed.
"The heroes are attacking!" the man yelled out, much to everyone's surprise. Re-Destro was still smiling, even as rumbles and quakes were shaking the area.
"Huh…" Nero sighed, picking up his dice and pocketing them, "How bad is the situation?" he asked.
"Well… they rushed the front gates without warning… and they've sealed off all the other exits!" the man answered quickly, "The only way out's through the main building!" he confirmed on. The dual-type Quirk user glanced over to Re-Destro again, who was still smiling. However, he could see the black markings of stress forming along his face.
"HUH…?" he uttered in disbelief.
"Hmph," Nero huffed, "I'll lead a battalion to the surface," he decided, hopping down from the stage and forming a portal in front of himself, "See to it that you follow as soon as possible," he advised of his fellow lieutenants before disappearing into the rift, with about several other soldiers joining him through it. Back outside, the electricity being discharged continued getting channeled to Denki, whose grin grew at how successful his role was.
"Just like Thor, right Shiki?!" he called out to the Satan Gravity Quirk user, who flew by.
"Yeah!" he agreed with a nod, chuckling all the while.
"Your Electrification Quirk's impressive, boy…" the electrokinetic commander muttered out, readying even more tasers in his hands, "But how many more volts can you take before reaching your limit?!" he challenged, ready to discharge even more electricity. However, he gasped as Edgeshot suddenly lunged out. His body flattened and twisted into a pointed string.
"Ninpo: Thousand Sheet Pierce!" he exclaimed, going straight through several soldiers including the electrokinetic commander. They all gasped with pain before collapsing to the ground, while the Ninja Hero landed behind them. "I put a small hole in your lungs," he confirmed to the group he bested, "Move about too much, and it could be fatal," he warned.
At that moment, Midnight lunged in, flipping over the Foldabody Quirk user before ripping off some of the fabric of her costume upon her left arm. With a pair of fans in hand, she expelled an aroma from her body onto the soldiers who were downed. Before they knew it, they fell completely asleep.
"Nighty-night, you naughty villains…" the Somnambulist Quirk user remarked. Those that didn't immediately fall victim to sleep were ensnared by the branch-like bindings of Kamui Woods.
"Crap, this isn't good!" one soldier realized, "Hey, we need reinforcements now!" he cried out. All of a sudden, he and many others felt themselves sink into the ground. "Wh-What the hell?!" he stammered out. It was the work of Juzo, whose hands were placed against the ground, softening it into mud.
"Alright, you guys are up!" he confirmed to his classmates, who rushed ahead. Kinoko was quick to spray spores from her body, combining with her spray bottles to make mushrooms sprout all over the bodies of the entrapped villains. They started hacking uncontrollably, with tears pricking their eyes. One by one, they all splashed apart into water, which redirected under Laguna's control, filling up the bottles at his belt.
"Excellent work, you three!" Gang Orca complimented as he ran by.
"Heehee!" the Mushroom Quirk user giggled, "A perfect combination of Mudman's Softening, my mushrooms, and Laguna's Tears Lover!" she remarked proudly.
"Yeah, it worked better than I thought it would…" Laguna admitted with a little smile.
"You're probably gonna need more bottles, though…" Juzo pointed out.
"It's fine, we're only capturing a few villains anyway," the Tears Lover Quirk user assured in reply.
"Then let's let the pros handle the rest!" Kinoko insisted with a wink. Inside the villa, many people were frantically hurrying about, trying to retake control of the situation. But something else was going on.
"Hey… what's going on…?" a meek Twice asked, surrounded by red feathers as he lied on his back, "Hawks…?" he uttered, looking over to the Wing Hero standing at the open door to the room only they were in. Most of his feathers had the Double Quirk user surrounded. And he stared on at him, intending to do what he had to.
OPENING
Insert "SPECIALZ" by King Gnu
Opens with the dawning sky as several heroes gather together, walking side by side as they approach Jaku City. Leading them is Endeavor, followed by Justice, Holy, Eraser and Mirko. We also see the likes of Ryukyu, Present Mic, Eraser Head, Witch, and Sister. As they approach the hospital, watching from afar are Izuku and Rebecca, who both have sweat nervously trickling down their bodies as they help with evacuations in the city.
We switch to a scene of the many villains of the Paranormal Liberation Front, with Tomura at the back, lying dormant in a vat as he awaits the day he'll be unleashed upon the world. Both Deadend Crow and Gigantomachia tower over everyone as they both grin ominously. We get shots of Shura, Ijuna, Maria, Spinner, Himiko, Compress, and Fie. Twice is seen on the floor crying his eyes out as he's surrounded by Hawks' feathers. However, blue flames spew into the room, coming from a sadistically grinning Dabi. We see Feather fly onto the scene to try and help, but she's suddenly ambushed by a laser beam piercing through her abdomen, coming from a figure lurking in the shadows.
Several Nomu in the hospital emerge, as the heroes all battle them back. Holy melts down two of them before Eraser erases a chunk of another. Justice uses his Grand Chariot to finish off even more, while the others continue ahead. Mirko arrives at Doctor Garaki's lab, only to wind up getting knocked aside. She looks over, widening her eyes to see the High-End Nomu that've just been released.
We cut to the city as the young heroes are helping evacuate people. Suddenly though, a wave of decaying destruction is about to wash over them. Izuku and Rebecca quickly work with the others to get everyone out of there, all while sensing the ominous presence of All For One. Back in the hospital, we see Tomura emerging from his vat, willing himself to life before instantly decaying a hero beside him. His eyes flash brightly before he fires lasers from them, followed by decaying everything in sight with just a simple touch.
There are various scenes of the heroes outside Gunga Villa making their move, Laguna and Hitoshi coming face-to-face with Nero, Shoto and Homura hurriedly following their comrades, and finally, Katsuki glancing back at Izuku and Rebecca. He flashes through distinct memories of the couple throughout their childhood, knowing that Rebecca is more of a true friend to the One For All inheritor than he'll ever be. He snaps away from those thoughts, needing to blast himself away from the incoming decay wave.
As the opening winds down, we see Tomura standing at the epicenter of his decay wave, donning a cape as he gives off a sadistic grin. We get scenes of Acnoella, Crow, Shura, Elsie, and Nox, completing the Oracion Seis. As the heroes stand to face off against the greatest evil known to Japan, so too do the villains…
END OPENING
Watching the raid from afar with a worried look upon her face was Feather. She was initially going to be part of the team attacking the hospital, though she decided to act as reconnaissance instead for the heroes who'd seal off the exits from the Gunga Villa. With that done, all she needed to do was join the others in capturing all the villains in one fell swoop.
But she was troubled. A sinking feeling of dread crossed her mind, if only for a moment. She looked toward a portion of the villa, narrowing her eyes.
"Keigo…" she uttered out. Back inside, the Wing Hero kept his focus solely on Twice, tightening the grip he had on his blade-like feathers in hand, while the others were still surrounding his target.
"I told the Safety Commission when to attack in code," he noted to his captive, "It was a whole thing…" he muttered, having his feathers slash off the tiny cameras upon others. From a monitoring room, Skeptic gnashed his teeth together upon seeing the screens fill with static, realizing that Hawks was making his move. "Our strategy for this mission… is to overwhelm with numbers," he pointed out, approaching the Double Quirk user.
"H-Hey…" he stammered out.
"So I had to make sure you didn't have a chance to start doubling yourself," Hawks mentioned, interjecting the costumed villain.
"Wait… no…" he uttered, both scared and confused.
"I had to keep an eye on you at all times," the Wing Hero said, "Twice, bro, we should totally review before the meeting," he recalled saying, "Not a bad actor, am I?" he presumed.
"Hawk—!" Twice's shout was interjected as the Fierce Wings Quirk user aimed his blade-like feather at his face.
"Please don't put up a fight," he requested, "I'd like to keep you nice and safe until I can hand you over to the police," he noted. The costumed villain was hyperventilating. This wasn't the first time he had been duped, leading to more trouble for his friends.
"Wait… hold on…" he said, "This… can't be right…" he whimpered out, "N-No… not again…" he stuttered sadly, thinking of when Magne was killed and Compress' arm was blown off thanks to Overhaul last year, "Why… does this always happen…?" he wondered as tears began dripping from his eyes, "No, please… not again!" he screamed out, grabbing at his head, "I thought… I had to trust you…!" he pointed out to the man he thought was his friend, "Because…!" he tried to say, thinking of how beaten he had been throughout his entire life, "I thought if I didn't trust you, I'd be giving in to the darkness again…!" he sobbed.
"…Thank you," Hawks said gratefully after a moment, "In the end, I guess it comes down to bad luck," he commented, much to the Double Quirk user's confusion, "You should atone for your crimes and start over," he advised. Twice blinked in shock, thinking of when he told the Wing Hero how the best people to be around were those who helped their friends.
'Let's fly where we want together!' he had said, as his voice echoed in the Fierce Wings Quirk user's head.
"I want to help you build a new life," he affirmed to his foe, "Because I think… you are a good person," he mentioned in confession. Rumbles of battle continued to echo throughout the villa. Twice trembled. But this time, it wasn't out of sadness.
"Shut up…!" he growled out, "Is this what heroes do…?!" he questioned angrily.
"Please, don't get up…" Hawks insisted.
"What do you mean, 'start over'?!" Jin inquired on, still grabbing at his head.
"Bubaigawara!" the Wing Hero shouted with a grimace.
"NO!" Twice yelled, pushing himself up. One of Hawks' feathers slashed through his mask, ripping off the portion around the right side of his head. "I stopped giving a damn about myself a long time ago!" he affirmed with tears still pricking his eyes.
"The last thing I wanna do right now is fight!" the Fierce Wings Quirk user retorted in response, "Just come quietly!" he insisted.
"Sounds like a 'you' problem, hero!" the costumed villain remarked back, duplicating himself as much as he could, "The only reason I'm alive… is them!" he pointed out as tears streaked down his face, "I just wanna make them happy!" he declared on. Back outside, heroes were still raiding the building.
"Magimech Attack…" Shiki began to bellow as green lines of energy appeared along his arms. He landed down in front of several liberation soldiers. "Gravity Center!" he exclaimed, causing them all to fall to the ground in an instant thanks to the power of his gravity.
"Nice work, Magimech King!" Fumikage complimented from afar while continuing onward with the other heroes.
"Hey, Tsukuyomi right?" a voice inquired, getting the Dark Shadow Quirk user's attention as he looked over to see Fat Gum and Tamaki there, "You're coming in with us for now!" he confirmed.
"Yes, sir!" Fumikage replied, following after them.
"From what we've heard, a whole mess of bad guys are gathering deep underground!" the Fat Absorption Quirk user noted to his colleagues.
"Several passages lead to the surface level," Tamaki mentioned, "Most of those have been blocked off already," he added on.
"That leaves only five more exits, each of which lead up to the villa itself," Fat Gum confirmed.
"And our goal's to reduce it to just one, yes?" Fumikage assumed.
"Right on the money, Tsukuyomi," the Fat Absorption Quirk user replied with a nod, "So let's do this!" he insisted as he and the others charged into the opened building.
"How do they know the way around the villa?!" one liberation soldier questioned aloud.
"Doesn't matter! We can't let 'em through!" another affirmed, taking a battle-ready stance as sharp red crystals formed around him.
"Suneater, looks like you're up!" Fat Gum called out to his soon-to-be sidekick.
"Right!" he responded, hurrying forward, "Vast Hybrid…" he began, transforming the lower half of his body into that of a horse, also growing horns on his head and having vines appear from his hands with different kinds of hard fruit at the ends of them, "Chimera Centaur!" he shouted, lashing at several of the soldiers, knocking them all out quickly, "Apologies, but I'll need you all to stand down," he stated to them.
"Nice! That sounded pretty cool!" his mentor complimented.
"Uh… thanks…" he responded sheepishly, a little embarrassed but happy nonetheless. Meanwhile, Fat Gum and Fumikage approached the passageway leading downstairs.
"Okay, no need to go holding back here!" he confirmed, blocking off the passage as the Dark Shadow Quirk user hopped in.
"Then I won't," he confirmed, making the BMI Hero let off a smirk, "Dark Shadow!" he beckoned, bringing forth the shadowy entity dwelling within him. It grew to a massive size thanks to the surrounding darkness of the passage. "Ragnarok!" its master bellowed, sending it down through the corridor, tearing through it like a rampaging animal. Down in the meeting hall, several others heard the commotion. At that moment, Dark Shadow burst in.
"Re-Destro, get down!" one soldier called out to the Stress Quirk user. He grimaced, instantly engulfing his upper body in black as his coat and dress shirt were ripped from his form. He grabbed at the shadowy entity, trying to hold it back as the others watched on.
"Something's in the way…!" Fumikage realized from above. Dark Shadow continued bellowing as it pushed harder against Rikiya, who tried to hold his ground. However, his prosthetics broke before he was slammed up against and then through the wall.
"Sir!" another soldier cried out.
"The heroes already got to one of our hidden passages?!" someone else exclaimed in shock. In the meantime, the shadowy entity gasped upon noticing something. It instantly retreated.
"Got it sealed up?" Fat Gum assumed.
"Yes, but there was someone strong enough to hold Dark Shadow back for a bit…" he noted as the shadowy entity itself returned.
"Fumikage…" it uttered out, sounding shaken, "there's… something bad down there…" it pointed out.
"I know," its user responded, "Someone was able to stand up against Ragnarok…" he concluded.
"No, not that guy…" Dark Shadow said to his surprise, "I saw… a real monster…" he affirmed shakily.
"A monster?" Fumikage repeated in confusion.
"Don't worry about him," Fat Gum advised upon overhearing, getting his attention, "According to our source, he's not gonna be a problem," he assured, "That big guy only takes orders from the enemy leader," he pointed out, "And that troublemaker's taking a nice, long nap somewhere far away from here," he mentioned on.
"How do we know this much?" the Dark Shadow Quirk user wondered aloud out of curiosity, "It's an absurd amount of intel…" he commented.
"It was Hawks who found out while working undercover here," the BMI Hero confirmed in response.
"Wait, Hawks was here?" Fumikage inquired in surprise.
"Okay, go time!" Fat Gum confirmed, "Hop into my stomach!" he instructed.
"Uh… pardon?" the Dark Shadow Quirk user uttered in confusion. Moments later, both he and Shiki found themselves tucked into the BMI Hero's round form, with their heads sticking out for air.
"Wow… it's nice and cozy in here…" the Satan Gravity Quirk user commented with a content smile.
"Glad you like it!" Fat Gum responded, "Never thought I'd end up being a taxi service for all this…" he admitted aloud.
"So is Hawks part of the raid, too?" Fumikage inquired of him.
"I don't know all the details…" he began to reply, glancing back at the villa, "but I bet he's smackdab in the middle of this fight," he affirmed.
"I wish we could go back and help some more…" Shiki admitted.
"Can't risk putting you kids in more danger," Fat Gum noted, getting his attention, "And you've done enough to help us out," he assured on. Fumikage glanced back at the villa. His training with Hawks had been eye-opening to say the least. He learned so much from him, even if their time together as mentor and student wasn't long. And he hoped that the Wing Hero would get to see just how far he had come…
X
Feathers were flying. They tore each and every double conjured by Twice. Brown globs of muck fell to the floor as a result.
"You're multiplying at an insane rate…" Hawks noted, standing right where he was without even needing to move, "But since you're making copies upon copies, they aren't very durable," he mentioned, "Some melt and some don't," he added on, "even though they're being hit by the same type of feathers…" he pointed out, continuing to let the red feathers slash and hack down each and every one of the clones. A teary-eyed Jin watched on in disbelief. He couldn't keep up with the speed of the Wing Hero's feathers. He was the worst match for him. And because of that, escape was looking less and less likely.
"Damn it…!" he cursed.
"I won't make a mistake because of emotions getting the better of me," Hawks affirmed confidently, "If you had just done what I said, we could've salvaged this," he pointed out to the Double Quirk user, "I really do like you, Jin," he admitted further, causing his foe to widen his teary eyes with anger.
"These are my only friends, got it?!" he roared as he tried to bring forth all the members of the League to join him, "Don't try acting chummy with me!" he shouted on. Hawks' feathers shot out, tearing through the copies and reducing them to muck instantly. More of Twice's mask was ripped away as well. He gritted his teeth, taking a step forward. "Use every last feather you want!" he challenged, trying to bring up more copies of himself, "I don't even care, you bastard!" he yelled out angrily, evidently distraught as well.
"I like to take out enemies quickly," the Wing Hero commented in the midst of his feathers tearing through more clones, "You know why that is?" he questioned rhetorically of his foe, "Because a villain who doesn't give up… is the most dangerous of them all," he pointed out. Jin managed to lunge forward, drawing his sharp measuring tape from his wristband. "The strong-willed are hard to take down…" the Fierce Wings Quirk user admitted.
"SHUT U—!" Twice's shout was interjected as Hawks slashed him across the chest with his blade-like feather in hand. He then used his other feathers to trip him up onto his back, pinning him to the floor and aiming one feather at his face while holding another to his neck.
"That's why… if neither side'll give up, someone has to die…" he stated firmly.
"You people… call yourselves… heroes?" Jin questioned as tears rolled down his face, "When things get tough… your kind always abandons the people who're lowest…" he pointed out to the Wing Hero, letting out a sniffle, "Not my side…" he affirmed, "When I fall apart, Toga wraps me in her handkerchief…" he remembered, "Fie treats me like I'm a big brother…" he added with a mirthless chuckle, "And you know what?" he continued, "This isn't event he first time I screwed up…" he confirmed to his foe, "Not long ago… I got everyone hurt…" he recalled, "But they still kept me…" he noted as he trembled, "I don't think… Toga's gonna wrap me up today, though…" he confessed sadly, "But that's fine…" he affirmed, clenching his fists, "All I want… is to make sure my friends end up happy!" he exclaimed, trying to bring another double in a last-ditch effort to escape.
"I'll be sure to let them know that…!" Hawks promised, about to land the finishing blow. Outside, Feather gasped in shock. She quickly deployed her jetpack and flew toward the villa. Inside, just as the Wing Hero was ready to pierce the Double Quirk user with his blade-like feather, he found himself engulfed in a stream of blue flames that shot in from behind. He quickly flew out with Jin in hand, landing upon the floor as he grimaced. Before he could do anything else, a booted foot came down onto his head, shattering off his visor glasses.
"That won't be necessary," a familiar voice said, belonging to none other than Dabi as blue flames smoldered around him, "You didn't even notice me, did ya, Hawks?" he assumed of his downed foe, "Somethin' you'll definitely regret…" he snarled out.
"H-Hey… Dabi…?" Twice shakily uttered, getting his attention as he looked over at him.
"Don't feel bad, Twice," he assured, "You didn't make a mistake," he affirmed, turning his attention back onto the Wing Hero, "It's the self-righteous heroes who're in the wrong," he pointed out, "AS USUAL!" he bellowed, unleashing more blue flames from his foot. To his surprise, Hawks managed to fly away with the Double Quirk user still in hand, tumbling over back onto the floor. "Huh," he huffed, "Even though you dodged that, how're you gonna fight with burned up feathers?" he wondered aloud. Glancing back at his wings, the Fierce Wings Quirk user noticed how little feathers he had still intact.
"That blast would've torched your friend, too…" he pointed out to the pyrokinetic. He merely smiled.
"Wrong again…" he remarked aloud, "You can always count on a pro to prioritize someone else's safety…" he noted. Hawks wiped his lips, having lost his jacket in the crossfire as well.
"Answer me this, will ya?" he requested, "You're acting like you're not surprised I turned traitor on you guys…" he pointed out, "So how'd you figure me out?" he questioned curiously.
"Heh," Dabi chuckled, "Well, I never believed anything from the start…" he confirmed.
"And even though I did so many awful things to prove myself loyal…" the Fierce Wings Quirk user muttered out.
"You're right…" the pyrokinetic said mockingly.
"Gee… thanks…" Hawks grumbled. He didn't see much of a way out of the current situation now. With such a small space and most of his feathers scorched to ash, he was in the worst possible position. But he still had a goal to accomplish. By weakening Twice to the point where making a move would be bad for him, he could easily carry him out and hand him over to the police. But before he could do that, another double suddenly shot out from the costumed villain's body. "Don't!" he yelled out as Jin ran, picking up Himiko's handkerchief he had.
"Dabi, roast that damn bird!" he yelled. That was all the pyrokinetic needed as he sprayed a torrent of flames forward, seemingly engulfing his target while also blasting through the window. "Hot! Cold! Hot!" the Double Quirk user yelled out as he stumbled away from the flames.
"Time for you to let loose, man!" Dabi advised of his colleague, "Put the advantage back on our side and go wild!" he insisted.
"Yeah… I will!" Twice promised, exchanging a high-five with the pyrokinetic, "Thanks!" he exclaimed gratefully. He stumbled to the doorway, bringing forth more doubles from his back. But to his shock, Hawks suddenly flew in his path. Dabi noticed as well, surprised himself.
The Wing Hero had used the blue fire as cover, escaping through the window quickly and flying around to the doorway. He was way too fast. And the pyrokinetic knew that.
"Outta my way!" Twice yelled out. Hawks was prepared to slash at him, but then…
"Keigo Takami!" Dabi shouted, causing him to widen his eyes. A stream of blue flames was shot his way, but he flew up to evade them. He looked down at the pyrokinetic.
'He knows my name?!' he questioned inwardly, 'Just who is this guy?!' he inquired on before being met with another blast of blue fire. Outside the room, Twice had made his way to the railing, breathing heavily as blood dripped from his lips. He looked down to see all the fighting going on below.
"Have to… help everyone…" he said, "Gotta save… my friends…" he added, thinking of his colleagues likely being targeted by the heroes. They had accepted him, even as he caused them nothing but trouble. Now he had to make up for his mistake. He summoned forth another double, which took the handkerchief out of his grasp as he ran onward. In that same moment, the form of Hawks was prepared to strike from behind through the blue flames.
"Crap!" Fie yelped, having gotten his handgun knocked out of his grasp before being ensnared with Himiko and Compress by a hero who had eel-like appendages sprouting from the back of his hands, catching them in their jaws.
"I've neutralized three of their lieutenants!" he communicated, putting his right hand up to his ear, "You all read me?" he questioned.
"Seems your stealthy techniques weren't able to get us away…!" Compress grunted out, trying to wriggle himself.
"And I can't go wild without hurting you guys…!" Fie added with a grimace, "Damn it!" he cursed.
"Ew, gross! Put us down!" Himiko shouted.
"We won't let you destroy this world," the hero stated firmly, "And this is where your plotting ends for good!" he affirmed on, "Your League is over! The heroes will wi—! AH!" he exclaimed as he was suddenly struck in the back of the head. It was a knife wielded by none other than Twice's double.
"It's Jin!" Himiko and Fie yelped happily.
"Let go… Let go…" the copy repeated, stabbing the hero again and again until he fell down, with his eel-like appendages releasing the trio of villains.
"Bravo, Twice!" Compress complimented, "And perfect timing, too!" he added, "Double on up and give our numbers the advantage again!" he advised, "We'll head underground and meet you there!" he decided, running off with the others. The double stayed behind, starting to melt apart.
"Sorry… Compress…" he apologized, causing his masked colleague to stop in surprise.
"Hey, Twice?" Fie said, only to blink in surprise upon noticing the copy's melting body, "Wait a sec, where's the real you?!" he asked in panic.
"I can't…" the double said, "I can barely… manage this shape…" he admitted aloud, "It's no good… like when you're tryin' to hold in a dump…" he muttered out, continuing to come apart.
"Wait…" the Flame Ammo Quirk user uttered, "Then… what about you…?" he questioned. The copy didn't respond, causing him to widen his lone eye before grimacing with frustration, clenching his fists.
"Forgive me… you guys…" Twice requested, "It was… my fault again…" he confessed sadly, "Hawks got me…" he confirmed, "I ruined things a second time…" he mentioned on, "Sorry…" he whimpered out apologetically, turning to see Himiko there with a somewhat astonished expression, "Oh, Toga…" he uttered, managing to walk over to her, "It's my fault… your adorable face got hurt…" he pointed out, reaching over and pressing the girl's handkerchief up against her left cheek, "Here… you can have your hanky back…" he assured, "I don't think… I'll need it anymore…" he added on.
"Jin…" she uttered, seeing him continue to melt away. Compress tipped his hat solemnly, while tears were pricking Fie's eye. Twice's whole life had been a series of falls with no upsides. And to a lot of people, that would look pretty pathetic. However, he found a place to belong. He had friends, those of whom were willing to stand alongside him.
"I'm… so sorry…!" he apologized again before falling forward. However, Himiko caught his melting form.
"Thanks for saving me…!" she exclaimed gratefully. With that, Twice smiled. He had a good life, even if others thought he didn't. And he hoped that with his demise… Hawks would die, too…
ENDING
Insert "SKETCH" by Kiro Akiyama
We start with Rebecca waking up in her bed, rubbing her tired eyes before going to get ready for the day. She pulls out her phone, posing for a picture as she winks. The scene changes to her gathered together with her female classmates before class, taking another picture together.
There's a montage of pictures, one of Weisz trying to fix his Arsenal armor as Eijiro and Tetsutetsu watch, another of Shiki floating upside down with a blushing Ochaco during training, Homura swinging her sword out, clashing with Togaru as their classmates cheer them on, and Neito trying to show off with Denki's Quirk that he copied, only to turn dopey after overexerting electricity. Rebecca looks through her photos before coming across one of her and her boyfriend, having taken a selfie together in their hero costumes. We cut to when that picture was taken, having been during their work study with Endeavor.
Katsuki blasts on ahead, keeping pace with the Flame Hero before they subdue a villain together. Shoto captures several thugs in a wave of ice, while Izuku ensnares others with Blackwhip. As Homura cuts down another foe, Rebecca speeds in front of one, kicking him down. She grins, taking another picture in the midst of their victory.
The scene transitions to her holding her phone before being tackled into a hug by Eri, making her giggle. Witch, Sister, Hermit and Shota watch as they play with each other, giving off warm smiles. Rebecca snaps another photo with her and Eri, followed by snapping several pictures with many of the teachers, too. One happens to be All Might, who flashes double peace signs in his muscle form just as Rebecca takes the picture. He deflates to normal, coughing up blood as the Cat Leaper Quirk user apologizes profusely.
The last picture Rebecca has stored is one of her and Izuku, as she makes a kissy face with him amidst the falling cherry blossoms at U.A. It's also the last picture taken before the mission in Jaku City. We see her looking at the very photo while knelt on her bed, the light from her phone reflecting off of her face, with her eyes veiled by her hair. A few teardrops drip onto the phone…

Another chapter done and dusted! I remember Twice's death being a critical point in the series, and it was really polarizing when I read about it. This may not have been the chapter where changes are visible, but things will get spiced up in the next one and beyond!
Thanks for reading, everyone!
