This is a remake/rewrite of Godzilla: The Titan of Fairy Tail. Was thinking long and hard about this and decided to redo it, but have Godzilla canon to the Fairy Tail world.
Yeah, this idea was inspired by Cowboy Alchemist's story Godzilla: The Titan-Slayer of Fairy Tail, which has since been adopted by red dragon 112293, though the story hasn't been updated since last August unfortunately. I do hope it continues as it has a lot of potential. But for now, I wanted to try my own hand at something similar.
Plus by making Godzilla canon in the Fairy Tail world, makes it less difficult to work with than the whole trope of 'from another universe' shtick which is kinda a bit overused and doesn't need to be done all the time. Also, I'll be doing the Legendary Godzilla because I love the Monsterverse and that version of Godzilla.
Anyway, this story is also going to be a harem, with probably ten women at best hopefully. I'll not be going any further than that, so don't bother asking for more when the harem list is completed, I already know who I want in it.
Disclaimer: I do not own Godzilla or Fairy Tail. I only own the OC Gojira Serizawa.
Out at sea, a few miles away from the port town of Hargeon, was a small fishing boat that was heading to the land. Onboard was a normal crew of fishermen, which included a captain as he crew. It was a nice, sunny day and they were hailing in their catch of the day. The captain looked at his men with a nod and a smile of approval.
Suddenly, the boat was rocked on its side. Something had hit them.
Something large.
The men on the boat looked over the side of the boat and gasped. Under their boat was the shadow of a large figure was swimming under them and heading straight for the mainland.
The large figure swam at a steady pace, moving past ships without damaging them. As it was reaching a wooden dock that had now one on it, the thing started to change. Shrinking down and its form turning into a humanoid one.
When it reached the dock, a hand bruised out of the water's surface and grabbed the edge of the wooden plank, before the person pulled themselves out of the water and on dry land.
This was Gojira Serizawa. He was a lean, muscular young man of seventeen years old and was taller than most boys his age, a slightly tan skin tone. His hair was black and spiky with blue tips on the ends, golden-yellow eyes, and especially sharp teeth. His body had various scars, which were exposed due to the fact that he wore a long, hooded black coat with light neon blue serpentine patterns and three separated coattails with slightly tattered edges. Underneath, he wore nothing, which left his muscular chest on display and showed off the scars. For legwear, he wore a pair of black baggy pants, and his feet were bare. No boots. No socks. Nothing covered them.
Gojira looked around and then closed his eyes as he deeply inhaled the air, inhaling the smells and the scents. He opened his eyes with a quiet exhale, expression softening from the stoic one he had.
"I'm finally going to see the world." He muttered with a small smile on his face.
"Don't get too excited, boy. The world is dangerous, and you still have much to learn about it." A voice said in Gojira's head. It was deep, had a rumble, accompanied with an animalistic growl in the undertone. But it also held a sense of respect and authority.
Gojira sniffed, withholding some minor annoyance and the urge to roll his eyes. "I know, dad. But you cannot deny my reasons for being a little excited. I have been in that temple for most of my life and have only ever had to come up to the surface a few time per year."
"You were kept in that temple to prepare you to become a Titan-Slayer and to take my being into your body." His father reminded.
Goji sighed then began walking further into Hargeon Town. As he walked, he looked around in wonder at the sights and sounds of all the shops and attractions, though kept hos stoic expression even if it had softened. Even his father was impressed by how clean the town was. Each house and building was made of beautiful bricks and timber and was evenly placed across a fully paved stone road. However, not a lot of people were using Magic as he was expecting. But there were a lot of shops that were selling fish.
He took in the people, the different clothes they wore, how they got about with their daily lives. Some offered him a good morning and he'd return it with a simple nod and small smile, others would simply give him odd looks because of his appearance but he ignored them.
It was not often he was allowed to come to the surface world, as his father only allowed him to do so in order to learn what he would need to know in life before he'd have to go back to the temper. Some of the visits were fun... and some were quite embarrassing when he reached a certain stage in his life and his father was blunt about telling him what he was going through.
"What is this place?" Gojira asked curiously as he walked further through the town.
"You expect me to know that? I don't own a map." His father huffed.
Gojira huffed at how helpful he was but accepted the reality for what it was. It's not like his father owned various stuff in his underwater temple, given what he is... would make it impossible for him to walk into town and ask for a map without stomping on buildings.
Gojira continued to walk and take in the sights, willing to admit that he was amazed. He did not know what would come next after this town, but the world was just waiting for him to explore it more, to find his purpose, his calling.
'Do you think there's others like me out there?' Gojira asked his father quietly in his mind. The topic was a tense one.
"Unlikely. I had all the Titans go into hibernation in different corners of the world, hidden so deep that humanity would never discover them. The world is not ready for them anymore. Humanity isn't ready to share, and neither are the Titans." His father explained with a quiet exhale.
He truly wondered if humanity would ever change.
Suddenly, the sharp sound of a train whistle echoed through the air, jolting Gojira out of his thoughts. He glanced up and realized he was standing outside the train station. He stared at the entrance, the hustle and bustle of people coming and going in front of him.
"So this is a train..." He muttered.
A sound drew his attention—a groan that sounded weak and pained almost like someone who's sick. He turned, looking for the source of the noise.
Nearby a young man with spiky pink hair was kneeling on the ground and looking utterly miserable. A large green backpack and rolled up sleeping bag were strapped to his back. His clothes were eye-catching—a red jacket over an open black vest with gold trim, exposing his well-muscled chest, along with knee-length white pants bound to his legs with black straps. Around his neck hung a distinctive scarf that resembled scales.
"Ugh…" the young man grunted with his face flushed as he struggled to keep himself steady. "...I can't believe… I had to ride the stupid train… twice…"
Standing beside him was a small blue humanoid cat with a white underbelly that was carrying a pale green knapsack slung around its back. The cat rolled its eyes at the groaning boy. "You really need to get over that motion sickness of yours." the cat said matter-of-factly.
Gojira blinked several times. "Did the cat just talk?" He asked quietly.
"Yes."
Gojira glanced at the ill-looking boy, who seemed completely out of it, then sighed. After a moment of hesitation, he walked over and offered a hand. "Hey, are you alright?" He asked with some concern in his tone.
The young man barely lifted his head, groaning once more while the cat sighed in exasperation. "He's got a terrible case of motion sickness," the blue feline said. "But thanks for asking mister."
Gojira raised a brow before looking around, spotting a nearby bench. "Let's get him onto that bench." He grabbed the boy and easily lifted him up, bringing him over to the bench and setting him down as the blue cat followed.
"Wow, you're strong. Thank you, mister." The cat said, grateful for the stranger's assistance.
Gojira gave him a nod and then frowned as a scent came to his nose, one coming from the pink-haired boy in front of him. He didn't smell completely human. 'He smells different. What could he be?'
"A Dragon-Slayer most likely."
Once seated, the young man let out a relieved sigh and closed his eyes. "Thanks…" he muttered weakly while leaning back and taking in a few deep breaths.
Gojira nodded and took a step back, looking between the two briefly. "Who are you two?" He asked curiously.
The blue cat beamed up at Gojira. "I'm Happy and this is Natsu!" It said cheerfully while patting Natsu's knee.
'What kind of name is Happy for a cat?' Gojira thought, tilting his head in bemusement.
He then dismissed the thought not wanting to be rude. "Happy and Natsu huh?". He extended his hand toward Happy who promptly shook a finger with his small paw.
"Yeah! Who are you?" Happy asked while tilting his head curiously.
"The name's Gojira. Gojira Serizawa." he replied and then glanced at Natsu who seemed to be recovering somewhat. "So… you guys from around here or are you travelers?"
"We heard Salamander is in town." Happy replied earnestly. "Hopefully we're not too late and he hasn't left yet."
Gojira frowned. "You're looking for a lizard?"
"No, a dragon." Happy corrected.
Gojira blinked at that, and even from within his mind, Godzilla blinked. After a few moments, Gojira snapped out of it. "L-Let me get this straight, you guys have come to a town in search for a dragon, yes?"
"Aye sir!" Happy replied enthusiastically. "Have you seen one around here?"
Was the blue cat being serious?
Gojira eyed them for a moment, baffled. "You mean… a dragon? Big reptile? Wings? Scales? Breathes fire?"
"Yes!" Natsu jumped to his feet as his eyes were lighting up with excitement thinking he might've seen one. "Were its scales red? Did it mention its name?"
Gojira's disbelief deepened as he realized they were indeed serious. 'They're really serious about this.'
"How does one miss a dragon in a town? Are they dumb?" Even Godzilla was befuddled.
Gojira sighed, looking at the pair plainly. "Guys, I've been here a little while and I haven't seen or heard anything about a dragon. Wouldn't something like a dragon be impossible to miss in the middle of town?"
Natsu and Happy went comically wide-eyed, rendered speechless by Gojira's straightforward logic.
Gojira deadpanned, their reactions only adding to his exasperation. "You two didn't really think this through at all did you?" he said.
"Are you serious?!" Natsu groaned while grabbing at his spiky pink hair in frustration. "Aw man!"
"It does make sense I guess," Happy admitted. "If Igneel were here he'd definitely be noticeable."
"Igneel?" Gojira asked, his curiosity piqued.
"Long story." Happy replied quickly before turning to Natsu. "Guess we should head back home Natsu."
"Grr!" Natsu clenched his teeth before standing upright in frustration and resignation. "Yeah! I owe someone back there a butt kicking for lying to me!" He was going to kick Gray's ass real hard for that lousy tip.
Gojira raised a brow at the statement before passing it off, wasn't his problem. "Well, I hope that goes well for you." He said.
"Yeah..." Natsu nodded, then looked at him. "Thanks for pointing that out, man. I hate that I can't find Igneel. But anyway, thanks, uh... what was your name again?"
"Gojira Serizawa." He offered his hand which Natsu took firmly.
"Thanks Goji! Maybe we'll see ya around!" Natsu smiled sharply.
"Aye! Later!" Happy waved his tiny paw enthusiastically.
Gojira watched them leave before snorting. "Goji? Really?"
"It's not that bad of a nickname." Godzilla defended. "Something tells me that Natsu boy isn't the sharpest one."
"Not like his teeth." Gojira joked, earning a chuckle from his father as Gojira began walking away.
He continued down the road. However, his attention was captured when he noticed a rather large group of women surrounding something and yelling 'Salamander' with hearts in their eyes.
Gojira stared at the scene, mind going back to the interaction he just had. "I get the feeling this 'Salamander' is going to be a human."
Godzilla scoffed like it was obvious. "Of course it will be. If he was a dragon, he'd be very noticeable from all of town."
"Still though," Gojira began as he approached the scene. "We meet a bunch of guys looking for a 'Salamander' who happens to be a dragon, and then we come across a guy named 'Salamander'."
"Coincidence." Godzilla stated.
"And here I thought you didn't believe in coincidence." Gojira smirked as he heard an annoyed growl from the King.
His curiosity piqued, he decided to follow the sound of the cheers which led him to a crowd of women gathered around someone. The mob was filled with hearts in their eyes and wide smiles on their faces as they were fangirling over whoever stood at the center.
"He's so dreamy!"
"Salamander's so cool!"
Wanting to satiate his curiosity he pushed his way forward, carefully navigating between the group of women. As he neared the center, he accidentally tripped on someone's leg stumbling forward. "W-whoa!"
Gojira collided with a girl standing nearby, managing to regain his balance. "Sorry about that!" he quickly apologized, stepping back.
The girl he had stumbled into was around his age with shoulder-length blond hair tied in a ponytail on the right side with a blue ribbon. She wore a white sleeveless shirt with blue highlights and a blue cross on the front that showed an impressive bust hidden underneath, a blue skirt and a belt that held a black whip and key ring.
"H-Huh?" the girl stammered looking bewildered.
Gojira frowned slightly confused by her dazed expression. It seemed like she wasn't entirely aware of what was going on. "Are you okay?" he asked.
The blonde blinked but she seemed focused on something else entirely. The last thing she remembered was showing up to catch a glimpse of the famous Salamander and then everything seemed to blur. However, she now knew what had really happened. She knew the signs.
Seeing that the girl wasn't responding, Gojira turned his attention to the center of the crowd. Something felt off. If the girl's reaction was anything to go by it was like she had snapped out of something.
After carefully squeezing through a few more people, Gojira made it to the center of the commotion and finally saw the man responsible for all the excitement.
There stood a tall slim man with sharp handsome features, dark eyes and short spiky blue hair with a fringe covering part of his face. He had a tattoo above his right eyebrow. His clothing was notably flashy—a dark-purple high-collared cape with yellow trim, a white short-sleeved shirt with maroon outlines, maroon pinstripe pants and polished shoes. He wore golden bracelets and rings, adding to his ornate appearance.
Gojira took in the sight of the man, who was clearly enjoying the attention as he posed for the swooning girls. "So, this is Salamander…" Gojira thought skeptically. He didn't seem all that impressive to Gojira, though he knew better than to judge solely by appearances. But with the way the women were looking at him Salamander seemed to have quite the charisma.
"You ladies are so sweet." Salamander said with his voice dripping with charm until his eyes caught Gojira's presence. "Hm? Oh, I didn't expect to attract a man's attention." he added with a slight smirk.
"Just passing through." Gojira said dryly, then sniffed the air subtly and his expression shifted to a fierce glare. "Now do yourself a favor and cut off whatever power you have over these women that makes them fawn over you." Salamander's eyes go wide at his words and Gojira wrinkled his nose. "I can smell it."
Salamander started to sweat a bit as he stared at the black-haired boy glaring at him with a terrifying look in his crimson eyes. But then he saw that the girls were giving him glares filled with hatred and smirked. "Sorry kid, I'm afraid you're mistaken. Now I must be off, ladies. I have a business to attend to."
This got the attention of the girls and they all turned back to him. "You're leaving already?!"
Before Gojira could take a step to stop him, Salamander snapped his finger a purple magic circle under celebrity. Then a tower of purple fire raised up and he was standing on it. "I'm having a little sware at my yacht tonight and you're all invited!" He openly announced before riding the flames off into the sky.
Gojira growled lightly from his throat as the crowd began to disperse. "What a creep." He scoffed lowly.
"You got that right."
Gojira turned to his left upon hearing the female voice, and found himself face to face with the blonde girl from earlier. She was quite cute, to be honest. And her bright smile made her look even more appealing.
"Thank you for your help." she said with her voice warm and friendly.
Gojira tilted his head, confused. "What did I do?"
"My name's Lucy. It's nice to meet you." the blonde girl introduced herself as she sat across from Gojira.
The two were now seated inside an eatery creatively named "Restaurant.". The two-story building had tan walls, blue shutters and purple roof shingles with a nautical theme evident throughout. Inside, the hardwood floors matched the warm tones of the tan walls complemented by green windowsills and cozy orange booths.
"Gojira. And it's nice to meet you too." Gojira said appreciatively. "And I appreciate you inviting me to lunch. I was getting a little hungry to be honest, but you really didn't need to. I mean, I have no money to pay you back."
Lucy gave him a kind and warm smile that made his body heat up and his cheeks redden a little. "It's not a problem, you to lunch is the least I can do after what you did for me earlier."
Gojira tilted his head slightly in confusion at her words. "About that… how exactly did I help you?" he asked, still unsure about what had transpired.
Their conversation was momentarily paused as the waitress returned with their meals, impressively fast. Gojira had ordered a simple seafood platter while Lucy had opted for a small sandwich. As soon as the waitress left Lucy continued, diving into Gojira's question.
"You see, that Salamander guy was using magic. A Charm spell to hypnotize the ladies in town to think they were falling in love with him. They have the power to attract people to you against their own will. But they've been banned for years! Nobody even sells them anymore," she explained, showing a pissed off expression. "He must have gone through a lot of trouble to get his hands-on that ring. What a creep."
Gojira frowned and quickly spoke to Godzilla. 'Should we do something about this?'
"Why? It has nothing to do with us."Godzilla pointed out
'We can't let a guy like that walk around.' Gojira persisted.
Godzilla sighed softly. "You'll find that there is a wide amount of bad humans in the world, son. Defeating one won't make the world any safer."
Gojira remained quiet at his words, not sure what to respond with to that. Pushing it aside for now, he looked at Lucy. "He was probably that desperate for a mate."
Lucy blinked. "Uh, don't you mean girlfriend?" She asked.
"Same thing." Gojira shrugged.
Lucy put it aside for now and smiled warmly at him. "Well, I totally fell victim to his spell but when you bumped into me it snapped me out of it. I can't thank you enough for that."
Gojira, after taking a bite out of some lobster, swallowed and said. "No problem. In fairness, I bumped into you by accident but I did smell the man's magic in play."
"Even so, I'm really grateful." Lucy insisted with her expression serious. "There's no telling what that scumbag would've done if I stayed under his control."
Gojira glanced down at the tabletop, his mind wandering back to the scene with the crowd. 'All those girls… and he said he's throwing a party tonight. There's no way he's up to anything good.'
Lucy's eyes gleamed a bit as she shifted gears. "I may not look like it but I'm actually a wizard myself."
Gojira looked at her with genuine interest. "Oh yeah?"
She turned away sheepishly while scratching her cheek. "Though… I'm not in a guild yet or anything. Oh!" She perked up, a sudden excitement in her voice. "I should probably explain… Guilds are organizations where wizards gather to share information, find work, and support each other."
Gojira nodded along, showing he was listening.
"Apparently, you aren't considered a 'full-fledged wizard' until you join a guild." Lucy added, causing Gojira to raise a brow. Lucy then became noticeably more animated and was gushing with excitement. "There are tons of guilds all over the world! But the one I really want to join is the most famous one!" She sighed dreamily, her hands clasped together. "It's filled with really incredible wizards! Oh, what I'd give to join… but I'm sure it's super hard to get into."
After a moment she chuckled realizing how caught up she'd become. "Oh, I'm sorry I bet all this guild and wizard talk is gibberish to you huh?"
Gojira shook his head with a smirk. "Not at all. It's actually pretty cool to see you so passionate about it. It's… kind of cute honestly." He spoke without thinking.
"C-cute?!" Lucy repeated with her face slightly turning bright red.
"Smooth." Godzilla chuckled in amusement.
'Shut up!' Gojira snapped at his father. "A-Anyway! What kind of wizard are you, Lucy?"
Lucy took a deep breath to recompose herself. "Oh… I'm a Celestial Wizard. It's a pretty unique kind of magic, so I wouldn't be surprised if you've never seen it before."
"Meh, a little." Gojira gave a 'so-so' gesture with his hand. Godzilla had taught him a lot growing up, and what he couldn't teach him about, he'd go to the surface world and learn from afar. Whether it be simple things. "All I've managed to hear is that Celestial Wizards use some sort of keys. Mind explaining that a bit more?"
Lucy's eyes lit up with her enthusiasm evident as she eagerly explained her magic. "Of course! You see, a Celestial Wizard uses these magical objects called Gate Keys to summon Celestial Spirits—beings they've made contracts with." She pulled her key ring off her belt, revealing six keys—three gold and three silver.
"Celestial Spirits?" Gojira repeated with a curious look on his face. "What are those?"
"They're magical beings from a place called the Celestial Spirit World. They're named after the constellations, and Celestial Wizards can use the Gate Keys to summon these beings into our world to help them out." Lucy spoke animatedly, proud of her unique magic.
"Celestial Spirit World… hmm…" Gojira mused. He shook it off and nodded. "I noticed you have both gold and silver keys. Is there a difference between them?"
"Yep!" Lucy held up a silver key which had a green cross on the handle. "Silver Keys like this one are pretty common. You can even find them in magic shops—well except in this town." she muttered that last part quietly.
She then held up a gold key which had an ornate design resembling an urn with blue wave patterns on the handle. "Gold Keys on the other hand are incredibly rare. There are only twelve in total and each one summons a Zodiac Spirit."
"So, these Zodiac Spirits are stronger than the Silver Key Spirits?" Gojira guessed.
Lucy nodded eagerly as her eyes were bright. "Much stronger! And I'm lucky enough to have three of them!"
Gojira looked impressed. "That's got to be a rare thing. I imagine those keys are pretty expensive."
Lucy looked away awkwardly while scratching her cheek. "Well, you're not wrong but actually… I didn't buy these. I inherited them. It's kind of a long story."
Seeing the hint of discomfort in her expression Gojira decided not to pry further. "Gotcha."
Lucy then tilted her head curiously. "So, what brings you to Hargeon, Gojira? Judging by your clothes, i'd guess you aren't from around here."
"You'd guess right." Gojira nodded. "But let's just say it's a long story. I've been stuck at home for most of my life and have just recently been given the chance to go out and see the world for myself. Not sure what i'll do, but I'm looking forward to whatever comes my way."
Lucy smiled, finding his desires and determination admiring. "Well, it's nice to see that you have a determined goal."
"Thank you." Gojira smiled at her, then tilted his head. "So you mentioned guilds and wanted to join one. Which one, if I may ask?"
Lucy perked up instantly as her eyes were now shining with excitement. "Fairy Tail! They're featured all the time in Sorcerer Weekly, and they're the best of the best! I've always wanted to join them."
Gojira's eyebrows shot up at that. Fairy Tail? Who would choose a name like that for their guild? Fairies don't even have tails. And Gojira would know. Or was it Fairy Tale? "Well, if you want to join them so badly, why not just apply?"
Lucy let out a slightly nervous laugh. "Well, the most popular guilds are usually the hardest to get into. I'm sure Fairy Tail has super-strict requirements for new members."
Gojira shrugged as a smile started forming on his lips. "So what? Doesn't hurt to try, right?" He paused to take a bite of his meal. "Even if they're strict, at least you'd know exactly what you need to do. Maybe it won't be as difficult as you're thinking."
Lucy seemed to mull over his words, her gaze lowering slightly. "Maybe…" she admitted.
"Hey." He caught her attention. "You're overthinking it. For all you know, it could be as easy as asking them that you want to be a member and then... they make you a new member, and you find you had nothing to worry about."
Lucy glanced at him thoughtfully. She knew he had a point. "You're right. It's worth a shot I guess." she said, nodding as if trying to convince herself.
After the pair finished eating their lunches, Lucy paid for it and they made to leave.
"Thank you! Come again!" the hostess called out cheerfully as Gojira and Lucy stepped out of the restaurant, making their way down the street together.
"Thanks again for lunch, Lucy." His voice was genuinely grateful. "I was starving since I didn't have breakfast."
Lucy gave him a bright smile. "Don't mention it! It was my pleasure. You helped me out, so it was only fair."
'Yeah… but I wasn't even trying to help her.' Gojira thought to himself. He wanted to repay Lucy in a more meaningful way, though he didn't have any money. It's not like Godzilla's temple was overflowing with it. That would be a problem if he was going to explore, he'd need money to use transportation if he was going to places further away from the sea.
"Still, I wish there was a way I could repay you." Gojira insisted.
Lucy put a hand on his arm, smiling softly at him and Gojira stared as that smile enhanced how beautiful she looks. "Gojira, really, it's fine. I don't mind. You seem like a pretty okay guy and not a total creep."
Gojira sighed, choosing to just let it go since he doubted he'll win this. He gave her a nod. "Okay, you win. But hey, if you see that Salamander guy again, stay clear of him. Guy that uses Charm spells to hypnotise women can't be trusted."
Lucy's expression became serious, nodding. "You don't have to remind me. I'll be staying as far away from that sleazebag as possible."
Satisfied, Gojira decided it was time to part ways though he couldn't deny that he would've liked to spend more time with the lovely Celestial Wizard. "Well, I guess I better get going." He said before sticking his hand out. "it was nice meeting you, Lucy."
Lucy's smile faltered for a brief moment, a touch of disappointment passing across her face before she regained her usual bright demeanor. She took his hand warmly. "Same to you Gojira! I hope I see you around soon."
"Ditto." Gojira gave her a friendly wink.
Lucy's cheeks flushed deeply, her heart skipping a beat. Gojira was charming in a way that felt entirely natural plus his kindness only amplified his good looks. She hadn't expected someone like him to make her heart flutter so easily, especially considering he seemed to be doing it without even trying.
"This guy…" she thought, feeling her heart pounding slightly faster.
Later in the afternoon Lucy was sitting alone on a bench in Hargeon's city park while flipping through the most recent edition of Sorcerer Weekly. She was eager to see the latest escapades of the Fairy Tail guild.
but only found the pinup section, featuring the stunning albino-haired model Mirajane Strauss.
"Mirajane is so pretty..." Lucy sighed in admiration at the magazine's swimsuit spread. "I really want to join Fairy Tail... I wonder what it takes?"
Suddenly, Gojira's words from earlier echoed in her mind. "It doesn't hurt to try, right?"
A sense of determination filled Lucy as she sat up straight and her eyes sparkling with renewed resolve. "Gojira's right! I won't know if I don't try."
"Whatever it takes I am going to join Fairy Tail!" she giggled to herself, feeling motivated.
A voice interrupted her thoughts. "Oh? What's that? You want to join Fairy Tail?"
Lucy gasped, startled by the sudden voice. Whirling around, she saw Salamander step out from behind some nearby bushes, wearing that same smug grin. "S-Salamander?!" she stuttered, immediately wary.
"There you are. You're a hard girl to find." Salamander said smoothly as if they were old friends. He held up his right hand with his rings glinting in the light. "I wanted to personally invite you to my yacht party tonight."
Lucy narrowed her eyes, her body tensing with disdain. She pointed a finger at him defiantly. "Your Charm spell won't work on me! It can be broken by awareness. Anybody who knows you're using it is unaffected!" Her voice was dripping with contempt for what he did earlier.
Salamander's grin barely wavered, his eyes narrowing with mild annoyance instead. "Hmm. Just as I thought—you are a wizard." He paused, adopting a more conciliatory tone. "Fine then, no spells… just a simple invitation to my party."
"Hmph!" Lucy scoffed, turning her back to him and folding her arms under her chest. "Forget it! I wouldn't be caught dead at a party thrown by a sleaze like you."
"Sleaze? Me?" Salamander acted offended, putting a hand to his chest in mock surprise.
Lucy gave him a sidelong glare, her tone cutting. "Your Charm spell. Trying to make yourself popular."
He shrugged, giving her a casual smile. "Oh, come now, that's just for show. Every party needs a celebrity."
She shot him a sharp look, no longer bothering to hide her anger. "This only proves that even famous wizards can be scumbags." Turning on her heel she began to walk away, her disgust palpable.
"Wait!" Salamander called out, a hint of desperation leaking into his voice. He saw her pause and used his trump card. "Didn't you say you wanted to join Fairy Tail?"
Lucy hesitated, glancing back at him with a flicker of surprise.
Salamander smirked, noticing her interest. "Tell me, have you heard of the Salamander of Fairy Tail?" His tone oozed false charm and self-importance.
Lucy froze as her eyes widened in shock. Her heart skipped a beat. "Wait, that Salamander?! Could he really be from Fairy Tail?"
Despite every alarm bell in her head ringing, the lure of joining Fairy Tail was too strong. For a moment, her skepticism faltered before she turned fully back to face Salamander, a mix of curiosity and hope in her gaze.
And that's it for the first chapter, folks. I was going to maybe start the story before the beginning of canon, but let's just say I had trouble coming up with plot scenarios for my OC to meet certain ladies that would be in the harem like Jenny, Kagura, Erza and Cana, though the latter two I was debating whether to have him meet them at the Fairy Tail guild.
If anyone can come up with a full plot scenario for Gojira to meet Jenny and Kagura before the seven-year timeskip, then please let me know. Either post it in the reviews or PM me.
And nobody better get on my back about the OC's name. All you need to know is that he was a newborn when he met Godzilla, and Godzilla himself gave him that name.
As for voice actors, not sure for Gojira, but for Godzilla... Keith David. I swear, if you look at any video on YouTube that has Monsterverse monsters with voice actors, Keith David is always the one picked for Godzilla.
Now, the harem.
Harem: Erza Scarlet, Lucy Heartfilla, Mirajane Strauss, Cana Alberona, Jenny Realight, Kagura Mikazuchi, Minerva Orland, Hisui E. Fiore, Ultear Milkovich, Seilah.
If anybody has suggestions for how Gojira can meet Jenny and Kagura before the timeskip, I'm all ears.
