"Admit it, we're lost."
"No we're not! I know exactly where we are."
"Alright then, where are we?"
"We're here!"
Goh just sighed, and shook his head.
At the moment, he and his boyfriend Ash Ketchum were on a journey together. Not to accomplish any goal, though Ash was itching to get some training in for the next World Coronation Series season, or for any research task for Professor Cerise, just a new journey as a couple.
Right now, they are somewhere in Unova. At least that's where they were last, but with Ash's lackluster navigation skills Goh wouldn't be surprised if they were in a different region altogether.
"Alright, so maybe we are lost," Ash conceded. "But at least its not raining!"
Rain proceed to fall from the sky, drenching the two teenagers. Goh had to restrain himself from slapping the idiot, so he settled for glaring at him.
"You just had to say it, didn't you?"
Pikachu, the little shit that he is, was cackling from Ash's shoulder as the teen chuckled sheepishly.
"Whoops."
Goh sighed, and shook his head. He couldn't be mad at Ash for long even if he wanted to.
"Alright, we'd better set the tent up."
But something caught Ash's eye, and he began dragging Goh towards it.
"Nevermind that, I found a better place to spend the night!"
"Ash, slow down!"
The shelter Ash had found turned out to be a warehouse. The front door was locked, but one of the windows was open, so they slipped in.
"Ash, I don't like this," Goh whispered. "What if this place isn't abandoned?"
"Pi," Pikachu nodded in agreement, but Ash just waved them off.
"So?"
"SO, we're trespassing!"
"Ah, what's the big deal?"
"ASH, that's illegal! You're the Monarch of The World Coronation Series, you can't go to prison!"
"We won't go to prison, they'll just fine us and send us on our way. Besides, with that storm going on outside, can you really blame us?"
A bright flash of lightning was enough to convince Goh to let it go.
"Alright, but we leave the minute the sun is out."
"Deal. Now, why don't you go see if there's a good spot to settle down, and I'll see if there's anything we can use for kindling."
Goh nodded, and began searching the warehouse. Unfortunately, there weren't any viable spots, with most of the spaces being cluttered with parts.
"Man, this sucks! I knew I shouldn't let Ash lead, but those damn Growlithe eyes…"
He was so caught up in his grumbling to watch where he was going, and ran right into a hanging sheet, getting tangled up in it as he flailed about. He tried to break free, but the more he struggled, the worse it became.
"Aw man, this sucks. Ash, Ash! I need help!"
Ash had managed to find some empty crates and built a small fire, him and Pikachu warming themselves up by it.
"Man, what a day, huh buddy?"
"Pi."
"Where's Goh? He should be back by now!"
"Ash!"
The minute he heard his boyfriend calling for him, Ash was on his feet in an instant.
"That's him! Hold on Goh, we're coming!"
"Pika!"
When they found him, he was still struggling to break free from his confines.
"Oh no, that ghost has Goh!"
"What? No, I'm not a-"
"Pikachu, use Thundershock!"
"PikaCHUUUUUUUU!"
Goh screamed as the thunder strike hit him, before Ash pounced on him and began punching and kicking him.
"Let him go! Goh's too handsome to die."
"Ash, I'm not a ghost! I'm just stuck!"
Ash stopped, and blinked.
"Wait, you're not dead?"
"No!"
Pikachu snickered, making Ash flustered.
"Oh, shut it! You were just as worried as I was."
"Um, Ash? A little help here?"
"Oh, right! Hold on, we'll get you right out! Just got to…no, that's not it. Maybe if I…no…"
As it turns out, getting Goh untangled was easier said than done, and the more Ash tried to help the less progress they made until they both fell over, with Ash now tangled in the sheet as well.
"Well, so much for getting me right out."
"If it makes you feel any better, you make a cute ghost!"
Goh was glad that the parachute was covering his face so that Ash couldn't see how red his face was.
"Now what?"
Ash shrugged, and lay his head down on his boyfriend's chest.
"I guess we'll just have to wait until someone comes by and rescues us."
Goh sighed.
"Then I hope this building isn't as abandoned as you thought it was."
"Pi," Pikachu agreed.
"Yeah, me three."
A few hours later, Goh had just managed to get to sleep when he felt Ash shaking him.
"Goh, you awake?"
"I am now," he grumbled. "What is it?"
"You were right earlier. We are lost."
"I know."
"I'm sorry."
"Don't worry about it."
"I can't help it!" Ash moaned. "I'm the reason we're in this mess in the first place."
Goh groaned, and gave Ash as big of a hug as he could."
"Maybe, but you've also gotten me into some pretty cool adventures too, so I'm willing to call it even."
"But-"
"Ash, go to bed! I promise, all is forgiven."
Ash smiled, and snuggled into Goh.
"I love you."
Goh smiled, and pulled him as close as he could.
"I love you too."
When Skyla came into the hangar to get some early flying in, she was surprised to find signs of it being broken into.
"Probably just some Pokemon trying to get out of last night's storm," she reasoned. But as she made her way to her plane, she found a cute, if unexpected sight.
Ash Ketchum, the current Monarch, was sleeping on the floor of the hangar, resting his shoulder on the chest of someone completely tangled up in a parachute. Ash's trusty Pikachu was cuddled into the unknown person's side.
"Aw," Skyla whispered. "How cute. I think I'll let them sleep a little longer."
But not before she snapped a picture.
"Just wait until Elesa gets a load of this!"
