Hotel Grand Lake
The Louds, along with Clyde's dads and Stella's parents, the Sharp siblings, and Dawn; all climb out of the Grand Underground. When they reach the surface, they all head to the Veilstone PokeMart where they sell all the bottle caps that Lincoln and Luna's family brought from their dimension.
"I, literally, can't believe that something as simple as bottle caps are worth so much here." said Lori.
"I thought the same thing the day after Sam and I first got here." said Lincoln. "At least it helped us get that cabin."
"And I'll bet that we got enough cash to get some awesome rooms for all of us to stay at while we wait for the Wallace Cup to begin and during it." said Sam.
"We'd better!" said Lola.
Once everyone was ready, they all left Veilstone City and began heading south down Route 214 towards Lake Valor.
Along the way, everyone was looking around at all the many different kinds of Pokemon that were seen; such as Gravelers, Girafarigs, and Kricketunes.
"These Pokemon are quite unique creatures." said Lisa. She then looks over at a Girafarig who notices the group.
"What's up, Lisa?" asked Lincoln.
"Could I possibly acquire this Pokemon, brother?" asked Lisa.
"How come?" Lincoln replied.
"I am curious about the second head coming out of its rear." said Lisa. "Does it have its own independent brain?"
"Well, I guess if you want it, then I could battle it for you." said Lincoln.
"Splendid." said Lisa. Lincoln hands her an empty pokeball before he takes one off his waist and tosses it, releasing his Hisuian Zoroark.
"Zoroark, use Snarl!" said Lincoln. His Zoroark lets out a loud snarl that releases soundwaves that hit Girafarig, dealing super effective damage; its body starts to sag.
"What's wrong with it?" asked Lana.
"Snarl can weaken its targets attack power." said Lincoln. The Girafarig responds by thrusting its front paws forward while they were coated in dark energy and hitting Zoroark with them, dealing super effective damage, but not as much thanks to its weakened attack power.
"That must've been a dark type move." said Dawn.
"Zoroark, use Slash!" said Lincoln. His Zoroark runs at the Girafarig and slashes it with her claws, dealing damage to it.
"I think you should try catching it, Lisa." said Sam.
"Affirmative." said Lisa as she takes the pokeball that Lincoln gave her and tosses it at the Girafarig, hitting it, and sucking it in; the pokeball wiggles a few times before clicking.
"You did it, Lisa!" said Lola. As Lisa grabs her newest Pokemon's pokeball, Lincoln looks up its information his pokedex.
"This says that your Girafarig is a female, she knows Power Swap, Guard Swap, Astonish, Tackle, Growl, Confusion, Assurance, Stomp, Psybeam, and Agility; she has the Early Bird ability which makes her wake up sooner than she normally would if afflicted with the sleep status condition." said Lincoln.
"Girafarig is a palindrome." said Lisa.
"I thought she was a Pokemon." Leni replied.
"No, elder sister, that means her name is the same when spelled backwards." said Lisa.
After Lincoln returns his Zoroark to her pokeball, the group continues on down the road.
A half hour later, they soon arrive at a large lakeside reside resort that was also near a beach.
"That must be the Hotel Grand Lake." said Stella.
"It, literally, looks amazing." said Lori.
"Let's go get some rooms for ourselves." said Dawn. "Hopefully there's still some available with all the coordinators that will most likely be here for the Wallace Cup."
"Good idea." said Sam.
The group goes into the hotel lobby and were able to acquire several luxury suites, much to Lola's joy.
Once everyone was settled in, they all get into some swimwear and head down to the beach for some fun in the sun with their Pokemon. The adults were just lying on beach towels with Lily close to them, Lana and Lola were making a sand castle, Lori and Leni were working on their tans with Clyde about to offer the oldest sister his help putting tanning lotion on her back, only to act like a malfuncitoning robot at the thought of actually doing it, Luan, Lynn, Luna, and Sam were having a chicken fight in the ocean, Lucy was sitting in the shade to avoid the sunlight, Lisa was simply wading in the ocean, Simon was riding on Croconaw in the ocean, while Stella was having Lincoln rub tanning lotion on her back and legs while the latter was blushing up a storm while Dawn watched with a frown.
"Hey, Dee-Dee." a familiar voice called out to Dawn, making her look to see Kenny, who was wearing green swim trunks.
"Kenny?" Dawn responds.
"I take it you're here for the Wallace Cup?" asked Kenny.
"Of course I am." said Dawn. Kenny blushes when he sees Dawn wearing a two piece yellow swimsuit.
"W-Well, good luck trying to beat me if we face each other." said Kenny before he suddenly runs off.
"What's with him?" Dawn asked herself.
Back with Lincoln and Stella, they were bored with lying in the sun, so they decide to go swimming in the ocean. Moments later, they were swimming underwater; as they swam, they suddenly encountered several pink, heart-shaped Pokemon, passing between them. Lincoln looks at Stella and smiles; she looks at Lincoln with a confused look on her face. Lincoln points upward, indicating he wants to go up to the surface. Seconds later, they popped out of the water and take a breath of air.
"Did you see those pink Pokemon?" asked Lincoln.
"Those heart-shaped ones?" replied Stella.
"Yeah; those were Luvdiscs." said Lincoln; he looks away, blushing. "It's said that any couple that encounters them will be blessed with eternal love."
"Really?" asked Stella.
"Yeah." replied Lincoln. Smiling, Stella swims to Lincoln and presses her lips against his. Dawn watches this with a scowl on her face.
Later, after everyone had their fill of the beach for the day, they all head into the resort and get dressed for dinner; once everyone was ready, they all go right to the restaurant.
On the way, Lincoln couldn't help but stare at Stella, who was dressed in a sparkling red evening gown, with matching high-heeled shoes; she wasn't wearing her hairclip so her hair hung all the way down to her back.
Stella was also looking at Lincoln, who was dressed in an orange dress shirt, black tie, tan dress pants, and black dress shoes; he also had his hair smoothed back, flattening his turkey tail.
"You look nice, Stella." Lincoln says with a blush, making his sisters giggle.
"Thanks; you too." said Stella with a blush of her own.
"Chow time!" said Lana when everyone gets to the restaurant.
"What kind of food do you think they have here?" asked Luan.
"We'll find out soon." said Lynn Sr.
As the Louds look around the dining area, they see what appears to be a battle arena in the center of it.
"What's that doing here?" asked Clyde.
"It's a special promotion of the resort." a man's voice said, making everyone look to see a man with navy blue hair, wearing a white suit over a light purple vest and orange neckerchief, along with white dress shoes; next to him was a woman with long teal hair, wearing a white sun hat that had a pink ribbon done in a bow around it, along with matching sundress and white high-heeled shoes.
"Who are you?" asked Stella.
"I am Roman." said the man now identified as Roman.
"And my name is Kylie." said the woman now identified as Kylie.
"What's this promotion you just mentioned?" asked Clyde.
"Patrons of the restaurant have the chance to have a Double Battle with us." said Roman.
"Double Battle?" Lincoln replied.
"It's when two trainers battle side-by-side together against another team and their Pokemon." explained Kylie.
"What's in it for anyone who wants to try the promotion?" asked Dawn.
"If the challengers win, then they get to eat in the restaurant for free." said Roman.
"Do it, Linky!" said Lola.
"Free food is always a great deal." said Lynn Jr.
"Especially in a family as big as ours." said Rita.
"Who wants to be my tag partner?" asked Lincoln.
"I do." said Stella as she walks over to Lincoln and puts her hand on his shoulder.
"Then let us go to the battle area." said Roman.
Lincoln's family, Clyde and his dads, Sam, Simon, Dawn, and Stella's parents all sit at tables around the battle area while Lincoln and Stella go to one end of the battle area, and Roman and Kylie go to the other one.
"Ready, Stella?" asked Lincoln.
"You bet, Lincoln." said Stella. "This will be a good warm up for the Wallace Cup."
"Snorlax, I choose you!" said Roman as he tosses a pokeball, letting out a very large, navy blue Pokemon with a cream-colored face, feet, and belly, plus triangle-shaped ears.
"That Pokemon's huge!" said Lana. Lincoln points his pokedex at the Pokemon.
"Snorlax, the Sleeping Pokemon, and the evolved form of Munchlax. It stops eating only to sleep. It doesn't feel full unless it eats nearly 900 pounds a day." said Lincoln's pokedex.
"That Pokemon would dominate in a hot dog-eating contest." said Lynn Jr.
"Drifloon, go!" said Kyle as she tosses her pokeball, letting out a purple, balloonlike Pokemon with stringy arms, a cloudlike tuft of fur on its head, and a yellow x-shaped mark on its face. Lincoln points his pokedex at it.
"Drifloon, the Balloon Pokemon. It tugs on the hands of children to spirit them away. However, it gets pulled around instead." said Lincoln's pokedex.
"Wicked." said Lucy.
Lincoln takes a pokeball off his waist and tosses it, releasing his Infernape. Stella tosses a pokeball and releases her Combusken.
"I'll take on Kylie, Lincoln." said Stella.
"Okay, Stella." said Lincoln. Stella's Combusken and Kylie's Drifloon faced each other.
"Combusken, use Flame Charge combined with Aerial Ace!" said Stella. Combusken leaps at Drifloon while fire and white streaks of light surrounded her body and she rams Drifloon, knocking it back.
"Wow, what an incredible combination." said Kylie.
"You bet." replied Stella. Combusken begins surging with energy and her speed increases from Flame Charge.
"Drifloon, use Gust!" said Kylie. Drifloon releases a gust of wind from its body and it hits Combusken, dealing super effective damage.
"Combusken, use Ember!" said Stella,. Combusken releases bits of fire from her mouth and they hit Drifloon; it falls to the ground, unconscious. "Way to go, Combusken!" Combusken nods in repsonse.
Meanwhile, with Lincoln's Infernape and Roman's Snorlax, they were about to get started.
"Infernape, use Power-Up Punch!" said Lincoln. HIs Infernape's fist glowed orange as he punches Roman's Snorlax across its face; a surge of energy rises up from Infernape.
"Infernape got a power up." said Clyde.
"Snorlax, use Body Slam!" said Roman. Snorlax moves over to Infernape and drops all its weight onto him, dealing damage.
"Infernape, use Close Combat!" said Lincoln. His Infernape starts striking Roman's Snorlax with a barrage of punches and kicks, dealing super effective damage; one last uppercut makes Snorlax flip backwards onto its belly, shaking up the restaurant, and knocking it out.
"SNORLAX!" shouts Roman.
"We win!" cheered Stella as she wraps her arms around Lincoln.
"Looks like we eat for free tonight." said Lincoln, making Roman and Kylie slump at the thought of giving a group as large as Lincoln's free food.
Soon, waiters were bringing out lots of food for Lincoln and his family, along with Clyde and his dads, Sam and Simon, Stella and her parents, and Dawn.
"Keep it coming!" said Lynn Jr as she cuts into a steak.
"More cake!" shouted the Loud twins as they messily devour slices of chocolate cake.
Soon, Lincoln's group left the restaurant while patting their full bellies.
"That food was, literally, amazing." said Lori.
"Lincoln, do that promotion tomorrow so we can eat free again." said Lynn Sr.
"Sure thing, Dad." Lincoln replied. A fart was suddenly heard, making everyone look at Lori.
"IT WAS MY SHOE!" shouts Lori.
"Yeah, right." said Luna.
Later that night, while most of Lincoln's group was in bed, he and Stella decide to go on a moonlit stroll on the beach.
"Today was fun, Lincoln." said Stella.
"I'm glad you enjoyed yourself." said Lincoln. Without warning, he turns Stella's face towards him and kisses her on the lips.
"What was that for?" asked Stella.
"Because I love you." said Lincoln, surprising Stella.
"Really?" asked Stella. "So you're not upset with me for dumping you the way I did?"
"I was never upset." said Lincoln. "Sure, I was heartbroken, but it wasn't your fault; it was Rusty's."
"Lincoln..." Stella said with tears in her eyes before she kisses Lincoln on the lips. "... I love you, too." Both look each other in their eyes before they kiss each other on the lips.
Lincoln and Stella's relationship has been restored. What else will happen as the Wallace Cup, along with Lincoln's next gym battle, draw closer? Wait and find out.
