Lost Tower
After Stella and Dawn got their Pokemon back from the nurse of the Hearthome City Pokemon after getting them treated after their battles at the Hearthome Contest, the group left the Pokemon Center and began to walk to the Hearthome City Gym where Lincoln plans on winning his next badge.
Moments later, they were standing in front of the entrance of the Hearthome City Gym. Lincoln notices a note on it and reads it.
"Dang it; says here the gym is closed due to the Gym Leader being out of town." said Lincoln.
"Bogus." said Luna.
"I'm sorry, Lincoln." said Stella.
"It's okay, Stella." said Lincoln.
"So, what now?" asked Clyde.
"I guess we can just go to where the nearest gym is; hopefully by then, the gym leader here will be back." said Lincoln.
"Where is the closest gym?" asked Sam. Lincoln takes out his pokedex and pulls up the map app.
"Says here that the closest gym is in a place called Veilstone City." said Lincoln. "If we travel east of here on Route 209, then go up north, we should reach a place called Solaceon Town."
"Hey; says here there's a Pokemon Contest going on there." said Dawn.
"Oh, Lincoln; can we stay there for the Pokemon Contest before continuing on to Veilstone City?" asked Stella.
"Sure, Stella." replied Lincoln. "After that, we travel north of Solaceon Town through Route 210, then east through Route 215, and after that, we should arrive in Veilstone City."
"All right; let's get going then." said Sam. Lincoln puts his pokedex away and the group began to walk east of Hearthome City until they soon found themselves in Route 209.
"I'm going to spend as much time training for the Hearthome Contest in case Zoey's going to compete in it." said Stella.
"Me too; she's a tough coordinator." said Dawn.
"And I might as well train for the Veilstone Gym in case the leader there is strong." said Lincoln.
"Maybe we'll find more Pokemon here too." said Simon. Clyde suddenly hears some rustling coming from tall grass; he looks to see a small, brown, bipedal Pokemon with three green orbs on top of it.
"What's that?" asked Clyde. Dawn takes out her pokedex and points it at the Pokemon.
"Bonsly, the Bonsai Pokemon. It prefers arid environments. It leaks water from its eyes to adjust its body's fluid levels." said Dawn's pokedex.
"What type of Pokemon is Bonsly?" asked Clyde.
"They're rock types, Clyde." replied Lincoln.
"So, water, grass, and fighting types should have the advantage; I'm catching this one." said Clyde as he pulls out a pokeball. "Psyduck, go!" He throws Psyduck's pokeball and releases her. "Okay, Psyduck, use Aqua Tail!" Water begins spiraling around Psyduck's tail; she swings it at Bonsly, hitting it, and dealing super effective damage. The Bonsly runs at Psyduck and swings its head wildly, hitting Psyduck with the green orbs on its head.
"Psyduck, use Water Gun!" said Clyde. Psyduck fires a stream of water out of its mouth and it hits Bonsly, hitting it, and knocking it to the ground. Clyde takes an empty pokeball out of his backpack and throws it at Bonsly, hitting it, and sucking it in; after it wiggled a few times, it clicked. "Yes! Bonsly is mine!" Bonsly's pokeball vanishes and is transported to storage. Dawn looks up Bonsly's information on her pokedex.
"Says here your Bonsly's a boy, he knows Fake Tears, Copycat, Flail, Rock Throw, Block, and Mimic; he has the Sturdy ability which prevents him from being knocked out by one attack." said Dawn. Lincoln took the time to train his Pokemon to prepare for the Veilstone Gym while Stella and Dawn prepared for the Solaceon City Pokemon Contest.
Lincoln's Monferno, Hisuian Zorua, Espeon, and Floatzel got stronger, his Dragonair learned Aqua Tail, and during Shieldon's training, he started to glow.
"Hey, your Shieldon's evolving, Lincoln!" said Simon. Everyone watches Shieldon start to change; when he was done, he was bigger, his lower thighs were covered in steel shells, and his face plate was a lot bigger and square-shaped, with a lower jaw that had teeth sticking up from it, a nose that had long protusions coming out of each side of it, four markings that looked like yellow tunnel openings with black trim, and spikes on the top of it.
Lincoln takes out his pokedex and points it at his newly evolved Shieldon.
"Bastiodon, the Shield Pokemon, and the evolved form of Shieldon. When attacked, they form a wall with their shield-like faces to protect their young." said Lincoln's pokedex.
"And this says he learned Block after he evolved." said Lincoln.
"Here's a congratulations gift for you, Lincoln." said Dawn before she kisses Lincoln on the cheek, making him blush, and Stella growl before she kisses Lincoln on his other cheek.
Stella's Roserade and Corsola got stronger, her Eevee learned Mimic, her Beautifly learned Attract, her Combusken learned Slash, and Bronzor learned Safeguard.
Dawn's Piplup got stronger, her Sylveon learned Mimic and Play Rough, her Pachirisu learned Sweet Kiss, her Swablu learned Cotton Guard, her Buneary learned Headbutt, and her Quilava learned Swift.
"Hey, what's that over there?" asked Simon; the group looked over to see him pointing at a tower.
"Oh, that's Lost Tower." said a man nearby. "It's where all deceased Pokemon are laid to rest."
"So, it's like a cemetery?" asked Clyde.
"Lucy would love to see that." said Luna.
"Is it okay to look around in there?" asked Lincoln.
"People often go in there to pay respects to lost Pokemon; but I suggest being respectful of the graves." said the man.
"We will." said Sam.
The group walks over to the tower and go inside. They all look around at the graves that were all over the place.
"I feel bad for all the trainers who lost Pokemon that they were probably close to." said Lincoln.
"Yeah, so do I." said Clyde. As they all explore the area, they see a flight of stairs leading up to the floor above them.
"What's up those stairs?" asked Simon.
"Maybe whoever looks after these graves has a place up there." said Sam.
"Should we go up there and see?" asked Dawn.
"What do you guys think?" asked Lincoln.
"Might as well." said Luna. The group goes up the stairs and to their surprise, they see more graves.
"I thought the bottom floor was the graveyard." said Clyde.
"Well, I'm sure one floor wouldn't be enough for all the Pokemon entombed here." said Sam.
"Lucy would definitely be interested in this place." said Lincoln. As they all continue to explore, Dawn was nervously looking around when she suddenly feels a cold air brush past her.
"Is it chilly in here or is it just me?" asked Dawn.
"No, I feel it too, dudette." said Luna. As Dawn looks to her left, she's face to face with a Gastly who suddenly makes a scary face at her.
"AHHHHHHH!" screamed Dawn before she leaps into Lincoln's arms. The Gastly laughs at Dawn's reaction before it vanishes into thin air.
"Mischievous little Pokemon." said Luna.
"Not funny." said Dawn as she had her arms wrapped around Lincoln.
"You can let go of my boyfriend now, Dawn." said Stella with a huff. Dawn smirks as she nuzzles Lincoln's cheek, making Stella growl. After Dawn releases Lincoln after he set her down, much to Stella's relief, they all continue to look around, climbing up more and more stairs, seeing more and more graves until they finally reach the top of the tower.
"Wonder what the view is like up here." said Sam.
"Hello, children." the group hears a woman's voice called out to them. The group looked to see elderly women.
"Hello." replied Lincoln.
"What brings you children here?" asked one of the women.
"We're just looking around; it's our first time here." replied Lincoln.
"Well, it's very good of all of you to visit." said an elderly woman.
"Let's us give you thanks with these HMs." said the other woman, holding out a few HMs.
"These HMs will teach Pokemon the move, Strength." said an elderly woman.
"Besides being an attack, your Pokemon can move large boulders that may block your path." said the other woman.
"Wow, thanks." said Lincoln, taking the HMs. Moments later, the group exited the Lost Tower.
"So, Lincoln; can any of your Pokemon learn that Strength move?" asked Stella. Lincoln looked through his pokedex to see if any of his Pokemon that Lincoln can use the Strength HM on.
"It can work on my Bastiodon." replied Lincoln. He inserts one of the Strength HMs into his pokedex; he then takes out his Bastiodon's pokeball and aims the pokedex at the button of Bastiodon's pokeball. A beam comes out of the pokedex and into the button of the pokeball. He looks up Bastiodon's information on his pokedex and saw he now knows Strength.
"Let's get going; I got a Pokemon Contest to sign up for and win." said Stella.
"You mean that I'M going to win." said Dawn.
"In your dreams!" said Stella.
The group are on their way to Solaceon Town. Who will win the Pokemon Contest there? What else awaits them as their Sinnoh adventure continues?
