Reaper of Rome chapter 9- in Rome and in memory
This chapter will cover my own content mixed with bleach movie 3.
I will add the content for bleach movie 3 to later parts of this story as later chapters come out.
This chapter will also serve as the branching point between the soul society arc and the Arrancararc.
It will involve Ichigo going back to new Rome with Rukia in tow then later switch to the arc of movie 3
Ichigo pov
I knew not to open either box until I got to New Rome, but I wondered what was in said boxes I had to carry. I knew I planned to buy a house and one package was to go inside said house. But it didn't take very long to make it to camp Jupiter after our wolf ride. Then all we had to do was cross into the city.
It was on getting to the city, the statue god gave me crap for being gone so long. Then after that I gave Rukia some money and had her wander around the city until I was done with my business and gave her the bag and I noticed in surprise as she was able to carry it. Others looked in shock as she did, and I left her with the other bag to head to see the praetors.
On arrival, I was surprised to see Jason along with Reina in the chairs. They said the Lupa told them beforehand but were ready for the full explanation. I then opened my bag from the clownish captain to reveal some kind of biomechanical computer. After opening I found a note to on how to turn it on as well as use my soul reaper badge to call for communication between the soul society and camp Jupiter. On doing both Rukia's captain Jushiro Ukitake, and that he had long white hair and looked to be in his thirties but was likely much older than how he looked. It wasn't long into his talk with the two. Jason told me "I am calling Suletta to take you to the house and after setting it up you will talk with the agent about payment." I knew I had more than enough to cover it and with all the pay I would likely be getting in the coming war with Aizen I would be able to expand it or get another one after said war ended.
The red-haired girl told me Jolyne would bring Rukia to the house her and Narciso could catch up while helping me set up the house. I was sure my friend would want to inspect Rukia to see if she would be good for me and I was sure seeing such a small girl carrying a large bag would equally shock her. It was on getting to the house. He learned the other box had a portal gate to the soul society for easy access. I also learned Rukia had a place to store her gigai and a way to transport the current one between here and Kurakara. My multicolored haired friend told me Rukia stands up to her standards dating me as she told me that she and Narciso had recently started to date after the battle that I missed.
Rukia then watched and listened as the four of us exchanged war stories with Rukia both looking in shock as I told her about my battles and equal amounts of shock with my friend's battles against the titan. Then Suletta told the three of us how she had both developed a method to turn regular gold into imperial gold and that first experiment ended with her getting both male and female fiancés over both a victory in battle and creating a new process to be able to create more weapons for the camp.
I then heard about Jason's promotion and how it happened in the battle after the other praetor died and Jason was risen to replace him. Then told me on how Jason was working to improve things in the camp and trying to prevent the rich factions from being able to control the senate. They also told me on how they were part of a group that I would learn about later on today.
Rukia pov
As I listened to the smiling Ichigo talk with his friends as they set up the house with all kinds of items I was surprised to see. I was able to understand them due to a translation earpiece that Urahara gave me. but I did want to learn how to read and write both languages at the camp over the time I was going to spend with Ichigo until I recovered enough spirit power to return. It was only when the doorbell rang and a boy with a mouth covered in something red arrived to take Ichigo back to the location of the leaders of this city and he said I could some long with. He then gave me a tour of the city as he told me of the places to eat and the places to get drinks.
When we got to the place where he met with the leaders, I found out that Ichigo was being made a rank equal to that of captain and would be placed in charge of a division of the camp's forces much like how the stealth force was part of the second squad. but due to the nature of the coming war with Aizen we didn't know how much longer we would be in charge. But in time he would get special missions. I also learned I was being considered an ambassador between the soul society and camp Jupiter in the time I spent at camp. in our time at camp, I would train in building up my power while trying to learn the name of my zanpakuto, I knew I needed to try and catch up to him on some level. while he has classes, I took to studying both English and Latin and, in the process, I learned I took to Latin with greater ease than English. It was almost like I already knew the language. We spent a few weeks together until the readings on my soul phone said I was ready to return but I would visit Ichigo on my next day off.
Rukia pov
It wasn't long after I returned that I found the Seireitei in chaos as waves of white fluid began to cover everything. I watched in horror until a girl with blond hair with a shot of red in the middle floated to me and grabbed my head. It was after that everything went blank, and I saw a few images in a haze as what seemed like a larger man with dark hair carried me away.
Ichigo pov
It was one day after everything I had to do ended for the day and I checked to learn Rukia had to leave for a while and as I did, a flash of overtook me until I got a look at the moon and instantly remembered Rukia and that I forgot her for a second. I knew I had to try and figure out exactly what was going on and left a message with Jason that I would have to leave. I then used the gate to first go to the Urahara shop and then found out that he had lost his memory as well and didn't even know that he made. But he did tell me the Seireitei was in chaos. After that I went to my house to pick up Kon to see if he could be of help. Then we went back through the gate and into the soul society. I knew after this issue was resolved; I would have to stop at Kukaku's house to get Tsugumi since the older woman offered her daughter as a housekeeper for me.
But not long after getting in, we found the place in ruins. I then tried to talk with the soul reapers io had got to know not long ago but I only found more chaos as a snake monster attacked and I had to use my bankai to stop it. but using said power spooked the other reapers and I had to fight off the group. I ended up using my silver knuckles to knock them out. It was after that I met Renji and he still didn't know me even when I mentioned Rukia. I even had to battle the dog faced captain and had to use the chaos to find a safe place to figure out what to do next.
Rukia pov
It was what seemed like not much later that I woke up in a strange house. I then tried to figure out where I was until a girl with blond and red hair hugged me and called me Rukia. It was after that a boy that looked about the same age came to me as well. I then figured out I had some connection to children. Then I wondered what exactly happened to me. I knew something was wrong with my memory, so I asked the pair that revealed themselves as twins and then the fact they didn't have names.
They revealed I promised to name them and the fact they considered me their mother. I wasn't sure I was old enough to have teenage children, so I just assumed that I would adopt them. I then had a flash of memory of me meeting and promising to name the children but couldn't remember what names I picked. The girl then revealed I was hurt and in a coma for a long time and I would likely remember them soon. but the two promised to live with me and keep me safe until then.
Ichigo pov
The next thing I knew after the battle against the dog faced captain, I woke up In in the sewer with Hanataro healing me and after I was recovered knew the next stop was the Kuchiki compound to try and learn more. I met Byakuya looking over his wife's shrine and then reminded him and Rukia was her sister. But as I was trying to get more about him Renji attacked again, and I knew I would have to beat him into submission using my bankai. Then tried to get him to release his bankai as well but the man before me didn't remember it since he obtained it trying to save Rukia. But after he revealed he didn't remember; Rukia's brother saved me and told me where Rukia and Hisana emerged in the soul society.
Rukia pov
It was while watching over city, I wondered what was happening as a strange female voice in my head said "you need to remember the one you pledged your life to. That one that saved you." I then asked the voice in my mind "who are you?" and she said, "close your eyes and we can meet face to face." It was then I did so to see a snow-covered city and a woman in a white kimono with pale skin and lilac color hair. She then said my name is _, but you aren't ready to hear it yet. We were close to you being able to do so but that was before you used the gigai." But I couldn't hear the name and wondered what she meant by gigai. It was then I reopened my eyes, and the female twin came out to sit with me and I wondered what name I could have come up with for her.
It was after she left again, I then remember I grew up in this place with my friends. it was while hanging out, I heard a strange voice calling out my name and then a strawberry blond boy with a talking stuffed animal met me on the cliff. I didn't know who he was, but the voice of the pale woman said "you should know him. but I will let you figure out for yourself." He then acted like he knew me as the twins returned to try and stop him. I then went to talk to him as he said his name and I remembered a kiss between us and then my head began to hurt. The male twin then attacked Ichigo, but Ichigo was clearly better at fighting than the boy. It was after he did a perfect counter to the male twin's weapon passing through his blade that the twins took me away.

I then tried to gather my thoughts and figure out what was happening and Kon confirmed it had to be the twins doing this to Rukia. I figured out the reason Rukia was starting to figure out had to be the same reason I recovered from my memory so fast. She had to be a demigod connected to the sun and that was already healing her, much like how the moonlight healed me. I was sure a kiss could completely bring her back if I got close enough. I also had to bring up to Kon the fact Rukia and I were dating and also promised to bring him to my house at camp Jupiter. He wanted to know what this housekeeper I mentioned picking up looked like and I mostly said very boyish but with a full chest but wasn't sure how she compared to other girls.
Rukia pov
It was when we got to a new house, that I confronted the female twin and made her tell the truth. They said soul reapers took me away from them and that they were lost for a long time. It was then I began to have paralyzing flashes of memory of all flashes of the stuff I lost. It wasn't that much longer that I felt a dark power from the girl as she swore to attack the soul reapers. It was then I remembered making a promise to get to know Ichigo even more and the times we kissed over and over in a room.
Ichigo pov
It wasn't much longer that I met three of the other soul reapers I got to know while recovering and had to do battle to prove that I understood their fighting styles enough. It was after said battle, I managed to win over Renji. But after that came a new issue with the rest of the squads attacking in mass. But with Urahara in full reaper garb coming to explain things with the help of Yoruichi as well that made sure I would be back to good standing and be able to fight again and I was sure I would get another batch of money for this incident as well. Urahara explained the problem to them and that I needed to hurry and save Rukia very soon before things got worse.
Renji came with me, and I had to explain who Rukia him was too and what she drove him to do. When I touched him, it helped the red head recover his memory. It was after that; I got a message from Urahara explaining "how he originally caught a strange hollow that he believed was a project Aizen worked on and Aizen is likely behind its return in the bodies of the twins that took Rukia. Aizen likely lost control of the hollow after it revived in the twins' souls and is likely to let the twins do as they wish to test the hollow. This was likely falling directly into Aizen's plans to make use not be able to defend against what he has planned next."
It was as we were trying to find Rukia and having no luck, Renji came up with the idea for me to use our connection to try and track her spirit ribbon. I was likely the only person that could do it due to our deep connection, I was the only person able to track her ribbon specifically and I was able to track her to a lab and Renji told me where said lab was.
Rukia pov
Next thing I knew, I was in a strange lab and had regained most of my memories. I knew we were in a lab that could cause lots of problems for the Seireitei. As the girl was about to explain what was going on, her powers went out of control and something worse was likely coming. It was in that burst, I figured out what exactly happened to the twins, the day I was name them, they were taken over by a hollow and had to be killed by a soul reaper. it wasn't long after that, Ichigo and a man I knew was Renji arrived and with that more memories flooded into me.
Ichigo pov
As soon as I knew we were close black spirit power waves began to burst forth and Renji had to use his bankai to help make a path for us. I had to use my bankai to further clear a path. It wasn't longer than we burst into the building and found Rukia suffering from getting her memories back and the twins wanting to defend her. The female twin was clearly trying to manipulate Rukia into staying with her. but as soon as I said my name Rukia seemed to fully recover. But it was when that happened the female twin began to explode with purple spirit power wanting us to leave. It wasn't much after the two fused with Rukia into a hollow type of form with the female twin's voice. Then the new hollow Rukia used the machine to unleash chaos. It let out waves of white slime into the Seireitei. Said slime soon formed into monsters.
At the same time, I had to battle the hollow Rukia Zangetsu to scythe. I could tell the twins were using Rukia's full muscle memory to give me much more of a challenge. I could just barely dodge her attacks. But I didn't want to hurt Rukia I wanted to break her free of the twins or the hollow's control. While battling Rukia, I watched the captains battle the slime monster.
It was then I to stop Rukia as the female twin was trying to erase all my memories. I knew I had to get Rukia to fight back from the inside long enough for me to be able to stop her. but it was Byakuya that finally pinned down Rukia and he said I had to stop Rukia in my own way, or he would. it was the arrival of Urahara that said to me "if you pierce her with your zanpakuto full of all three parts of your spirit power you should be able to save her. pieces of her power she left in your soul will save her." I then stabbed her through with Zangetsu Rukia returned to normal as the twins split off. she was back in soul reaper garb.
Rukia pov
After Ichigo freed me, Renji and my brother destroyed the machine the twins made me turn on. It was then I went to the twins and remembered their names were Homura and Shizuku. They were happy to have names and said to me "we will forever live on in your soul." The twins then died and vanished as I said their names out loud. It was then I remembered the complete incident and how that led to me joining soul reaper school. It was then Urahara explained what exactly happened and that he would need to examine my body to make sure it was okay after that incident.
It was then Ichigo brought me back to our house at the camp with a very boyish girl and Kon in tow. He said "she will watch our house while we must battle against Aizen. Before I left, Ichigo came home with a rabbit that had to be about have my size with ease and said this is our new pet Atilla. I wanted to stay and play with the large rabbit but I knew war was coming and Aizen could attack any time soon.
Chapter end
Next chapter will finally have Ichigo return home and meet the first of Aizen's forces in battle.
But first Katerina will have to escape the dream lands and deal with
