Reaper of Rome chapter 19- against the wall
This will show our heroes having to face dangerous enemies while covered in wounds and need all the help they can get

Ichigo pov
The arrancar started by attacking the wounded Grimmjow. After that, he came after me while his minion took Orihime away from me while the eye patched arrancar attacked me. I was barely able to defend myself with a silver shield. But I knew I didn't have the strength to keep it up much longer. It was then he stuck out his tongue and revealed it had a five to show he was five in the espada ranks.
Uryu pov
It was a minute after the arrancar left, Renji, the two hollows and I ran to try and get to Orihime or any of our other friends before he could get back. but as we made it to the edge of the room, he blocked our way. Then he revealed he had messed with the room layout so that we could never leave without defeating him. To make things even worse, the arrancar we figured out was named Szayelaporro released his sword by eating it and changed into a more twisted form.
He then made ink blobs rain down that when touching us turned into messed up copies. But as he sat in a chair and left us with doubles, he stated our powers would no longer be sealed off in the room. but I was sure that meant we would know have to fight our copies. It soon got worse as he made more copies for us to fight. It was in the battle, the two hollow friends of Nel seemed to get more worried about her as the battle went on. it was suddenly the two revealed something was going on with Nel as they called her master.
Ichigo pov
I then used my memories of fighting monsters during my missions off site while I was at camp Jupiter. But that barely helped in the battle as my wounds were taking their toll on my body. both the injuries I took in the last battle and unhealed wounded ulquiorra dealt me were slowing me down and I knew my mask still needed to recharge so I could use it again.
I had to try and hold on while the minion kept Orihime out of the fight. It wasn't much longer that Nel tried to join the battle and even stranger that Nnoitra seemed to know Nel was. then the Nnoitra revealed Nel used to be an espada and I could only figure the reason why had to be this man as Nel cried in terror. When he came to the small arrancar and asked her she seemed to not know him, and I could only guess the crack in her mask was to blame.
Nnoitra was about to attack Nel until I stood in the way and stopped him. I then tried to block but I knew by body barely had the power as the eye patched man kept trying to interrogate Nel as he revealed he hurt Nel. I tried my best to keep him off Nel, but I was barely holding him off Nel. He then grabbed me and used his strength to start to break my wrist as I could only hope for Nel to regain whatever power she once had to help me.
It was then she did and turn into a more buxom form and i just hoped it would make the difference. She seemed to as she broke me out of the hold and thanked for saving her so many times. It was then the wind picked up and revealed a giant '3' on her back as I felt a level of divinity from her.
Then she said, "this will be over in a flash." She then charged the other espada as he clearly wasn't happy. It was like the speed I could hit at my maximum level, and I noticed she used the sand as a weapon as well. after that Nnoitra tried a cero only for Nel to reveal she could eat and blow it back at the enemy espada. That seemed to give us the win, but I had the feeling it wasn't over.
She then hugged me and revealed she couldn't control her strength in her adult form. it was after that Nnoitra revealed he was still alive but with a torn outfit.
Renji pov
As I got this reveal, I had to clash with my copy and took it out with ease. Then Uryu took out his clone as we learned the copies split when they die. It was then we had issues figuring out the clones as Renji revealed how to tell each apart from their clones. It was after that; I figured a way to escape by forcing the clones to copy my bankai and break the walls of the room down.
But after I made sure Uryu was safe out of the ruble came Szayelaporro and then he killed all the clones as he prepared another attack on us. He then unleashed more hollow monsters as his wings grabbed Uryu and then spit him out. Then he made a strange doll copy of my companion. He then revealed to me the doll functioned like a voodoo doll and whatever happened to it would affect the real Uryu. He then ripped the doll apart but the quincy didn't feel anything, but I worried it meant something much worse. As the espada revealed, he could destroy our organs with the dolls. After that he grabbed me and made a doll in my image.
Ichigo pov
it was after that, the male espada revealed Aizen had clearly been working on this plan for years and likely more. as he revealed the espada rankings had likely changed since Aizen got the orb from Rukia. But Nel still showed she could out speed her opponent. It was at the same time she was fighting, I pulled out my soul phone and sent a message to Ukatake saying "the higher ranked espada are partly made up of faded gods and Aizen may be trying to reach a state of godhood." He replied "thanks for your theory. Expect reinforcements soon." I then was left to wonder what was happening next and put away the phone before either the espada or his minion noticed me.
I then watched the battle as the espada couldn't even hit Nel, it was soon that I was happy I put the phone away as he came after me directly. But it was more he wanted to keep me out of the battle. it was then I started to see flashed of Nel's past and why this espada hated Nel, he was a total misogynist and believed woman shouldn't beat men. Then I saw the moment that Nel was left in this her child state and that was after he rendered her two friends from Espada into the lower states they are in now. Then he got a lucky shot on Nel's head and left in her the desert of Los Noches but not after another espada did some else to leave her in her current state.
Renji pov
I then tried to fight the arrancar, but he would just damage my organ as I tried. It was after that, the two hollow prepared to try to use their gambit to save us. As they soon revealed the giant snake was part of the chubby hollow's body as they revealed the used be arrancar under Nel and would fight to try and help her.
The first part of the gambit was the skinny hollow pulling his zanpakuto out of his loincloth and attacking the espada. Then the chubby hollow soon revealed his blade was in the form of a club as he pulled it out of his mouth. Then soon they combined their power into a double cero as I hoped it would work. But as the dust cleared, we learned the attack failed due to the scientist espada countering it at the perfect moment.
Ichigo pov
I then watched as Nel was about to release her blade. But I had a sudden bad feeling we would need that help Rukia's captain was sending sooner rather than later. Nel then took on the form of like a female centaur and speared the espada. She then got in close and not long after victory seemed close, she fell back in her child form, and I knew there had to be a way we could restore her to that old form later. I then tried to help Nel only for master and minion to double team me and the minion pounded me over and over as the espada held Orihime.
Byakuya pov
As soon as we arrived, a beam of light came over me and then a voice came from it saying, "if you are the adopted brother of my daughter, I help you get to her but do it soon she is in danger." I then said, "if you can help, please do." It was then a was beamed into a room with a dark-skinned man standing over Rukia.
Ichigo pov
After the now pig arrancar came threw me into a piece of broken stone, I saw a large shadow behind him and cut the big man into pieces. I then heard the voice of Zaraki saying don't worry I came to help, and I brought the creepy scientist, scary doctor lady and your future brother-in-law.
Chapter end
Next chapter we will see how the captains can turn the tide of battle while Ichigo makes a few deals.
But first we will see the life of his brother by the other side of his divine mother.
