Reaper of Rome chapter 21-the past and the team
This chapter will cover the past arc for the soul reapers turn vizard from the eyes of the team fighting to protect their town
This will cover episodes 206-214
From the battles without the main characters I choose, I will do lots of skipping around. Mostly with the battles before Ichigo comes to the city
Tatsuki pov
It was November first and Urahara called my phone and said "I need your help with a special mission to protect your city. But first I will show you why this battle is happening and how it first happened. Come to my shop if you are interested." I then ran off to the shop out of the need to know what happened.
It wasn't long after I arrived, a small boy said, "come to the viewing room, the boss just got the thingy set up." I then asked, "what thingy did he get set up?" the boy said "something a Greek god left behind. He spent a few months working on it with Kurotsuchi and they just got it working. It's a tv that can see through time." He then brought me into the viewing room and sat me on a couch.
Urahara then said, "this all started a hundred and ten years ago." The video started by showing a man with glasses as well as Shinji as a captain. The two then left for the squad one barracks. I then saw various interactions between a group of soul reapers as Urahara said "this is the day I became a soul reaper captain. I had just finished a device that let me gain my bankai and there was an opening due to another captain leaving due to job advancement." When the captains talked about what happened a soul reaper that didn't have a captain's robe got curious and asked where said captain went. Urahara then said "the guy in the glasses is our enemy Aizen and this point started his fall.
The scene then changed to two people fighting and Urahara said "this scene is before the ceremony and was my last time training before I was formally promoted, I have been friends and more with Yoruichi since a very long time ago. But how long isn't important. It was that day I learned I would become a captain.
The next scene I saw a woman talking with Yoruichi and not saying good things about Urahara. The hat wearing man then said "I would always get caught up in my experiments but still do the work I needed to do. Soifon would stalk me to see to prove I wasn't worth the spot as captain. But I was doing my job in hunting certain people down."
The scene then changed to the mission he was going on as the video revealed Urahara was hunting down deserters. One of said deserters was very dangerous but Kisuke caught him and would still have time for his exam." The scene then changed to the meeting and right after Urahara passed the exam and became the new captain. Then the man himself said "when Aizen saw me that day he didn't think I was fit to be a captain either."
We then saw Kisuke formally become a captain with a shocked face. Next, we saw him try to integrate himself among his squad with the lieutenant already in the squad being the most outspoken among the squad. The next day was the moving in of all Urahara's stuff as he said "I was starting to change the squad in ways Hiyori wasn't prepared for. It took me a while to get used to Hiyori's violent outbursts. I changed to the squad to that of a research and development squad." The next thing we saw was more of the girl's violent outbursts.
The shop owner soon said, "It wasn't long before, the young soul reaper tried to fight me, and I showed her I meant no harm by taking her kick." After that we saw him talk to Shinji with Aizen stalking in the background. The next day we saw the girl react badly to Urahara's new set up as he stopped the girl's attacks and said, "tomorrow we are going to the maggot's nest." Urahara then said "the nest was one of the prison sites, squad two ran for deserting and other criminal soul reapers. She didn't want to come, but I brought her in to teach her about my former job and show her my strength without embarrassing her. I soon explained the nest was a place to keep failed squad members. When one of the members imprisoned attacked, I got to show Hiyori my fighting power. But the person we were looking for was Mayuri Kurotsuchi, the only person I could use to help with my new division. He was smart enough to help and I could convince him with ease to aid me."
The next thing we saw was a person Urahara told us was Rukia's future adapted family. Then we saw the man who would be her captain. After the we got to see a man called Gin Ichimaru, the man who would become Aizen's second in command and how deadly he really was.
After the video skipped forward nine years in the future, as Urahara said "not much happened over the next nine years except I fully set up the research and development division. But nine years into the future was the first proof of Aizen's betrayal. That sign was soul reapers vanishing with only their cloths left behind." We soon learned from Shinji that his was happening to both soul reapers and souls that didn't become reapers. We saw squad nine try and figure out what was happening. They soon found a large hollow that the captain took down with ease.
After that they found the leftover cloths from soul reapers and decided to try and hunt down the person doing this. Then the next scene we saw was Hiyori helping with the changed division and dealing with Mayuri. Then we saw Urahara holding a body as the older version with us said "that was the prototype of the one I gave to Rukia." It was then a member of Squad nine asked for help and Urahara sent Hiyori to help. but soon this story turned into a horror story as strange creatures attacked.
It was soon after that, the captain commander sent a team to try and solve this crisis. Those sent to try and figure out the problem would never return to the Seireitei. On the scene I soon recognized the other adult that worked at the shop as a leader of the Kido corps. Next scene we saw was Kenshi partly turned hollow. The team soon had to face not one but two of their former comrades turned partly hollow. When somebody that could help came, they were barely useful.
Urahara soon showed up at another scene and said to us "I knew I had to save these people no matter what, so I snuck out to try and save the entire group with the help of the other leader of the Kido corps.
Next, I saw the group battle against their hollow turned friends while trying to convince them not to fight. But no matter what they did nothing was working. The next trick planned was to use a massive spell to try and seal away the hollow that was Kenshi. But as soon as they did, the infection began to spread to Hiyori. Then a cloak of darkness covered the group as we learned of Aizen's third conspirator Toson. Then Aizen revealed himself and Shinji revealed he was starting to worry Aizen couldn't be trusted. He even revealed that he put Aizen in his post to watch him. Aizen then revealed that his Zanpakuto was able to manipulate Shinji. Then Aizen further revealed his mind games with Shinji then the infection hit Shinji. But Shinji then used the last of his will to try and fight back against Aizen but was able to hold out even with a part hollow mask.
But as one enemy fell, Shini still couldn't hold out then Aizen used his blade to try and end the battle until out of the shadow Urahara came to save the day. He then tried to get Aizen to confess but Aizen still lied as Urahara knew what Aizen was doing the entire time. But Aizen had the perfect escape plan using Kido and his blade. Urahara had to let Aizen escape and try and cure the others the best way he could. But to save the group in time the leader of the Kido corps had to break a few laws himself.
Urahara then said, "I made an item long ago that could save them, but it was a huge risk." But it wasn't long before, I learned Aizen had set up our arrests and only with the help of another friend were we able to get out and save the hollow turned soul reapers. During the trial we learned Aizen placed the blame on the two of us. but I escaped with our new friends to the world of the living and set up a base.
Over the years, Aizen tried more various experiments to set up a powerbase and do more hollow experiments. Over the years, I also helped the group learn a way to control their new hollow powers as well. I helped Ichigo save Rukia partly to ferret out Aizen and his plans. But Aizen still was able to get the item he needed and how he is about to attack your town.
I made special suits for our team to help set up a first defense, but I will get into that soon. We were then moved into another room and showed the special suits he mentioned. He then gave us watches that would let us change into them as needed. We would have to battle hollows to protect the city as part of Aizen's first wave of attack. The next thing we had to fight through was a forward base and had to destroy it to set up the final defense. Then after that Urahara congratulated us and then we passed out and then I woke up in a large chamber.

Not as long as other chapters most cause I wanted to breeze around and redo some of the past and the mini filler arc
Next chapter will show what Tatsuki's next role is, while the soul reapers battle in the copy of her city
But first Shirou will have to tell saber all while dealing with more servants
